  • "UPTIME IS THE GAME, DOWNTIME IS THE NAME"
today marks the end of scheduled maintenance—two guys with two weeks to kill and a few hundred hours later, we're finally [mostly] done.
page loads/image downloads should be dramatically faster. until we hit 1gbps, at least. to all of my wonderful and ungrateful users: "you're welcome."
(note: there are still a few other things i'll be working on so expect intermittent downtime)
ps: thanks so much to mvb for all of the help and support.

    B) you're a tripfag, stop being even more of an attention whore and take this discussion elsewhere because we're moving on with the game (delete yours, I'll delete mine)
    C) He's been fixating, but now he's had a break and has gotten a note from himself to be wary. It's time to accept that as a person, he has just been given the wake up call. You can't change that just because of how you want the story to go, you're not roleplaying ruby and tom, we're telling them what to do, and they are interpreting it as weaver sees fit. It's not mine or yours to discuss, it's weavers call.

Tom as a person is only alive because Ruby and Tom have helped each other, if she wanted him dead, she would've left him to rot with no antidote, certainly, she gave him the fish in the first place, but it's kind of hard to claim she had any foreknowledge.

She could've also sent him a vial of fucking ACID instead of the antidote.

Tom is not a hug-toy, he's one of the halves of a great team.

As someone who supports the idea of Tom keeping the message to himself, this is a bit bogus. Tom already knows that there's more to Ruby than either of them know about, and he knows that there's more to himself than he knows about. He's seen how frightened she is of what she might be, and had her confide in him about some of the freaky things going on with her without needing to push her into it.

Of course, with the way she handled the 'deceased' thing, it's probably not in -her- best interest for Tom to tell her that he told himself not to trust her.

But she doesn't remember it. For such a sweet person, uncovering that kind of horrible stuff from her past is seriously traumatizing. Tom can't abandon her now.

It was just a Cap'n hook impersonation gone tragically wrong. The hook's label advised against giving it to blind people, but sadly, they couldn't read it to know.

    Nobody there won that day.

Scientists are testing out an experimental method to cure disabilities/disfiguements (down syndrome, muscle dystrophy, blindness, etc). However, they need "test" subjects and aren't evil/insane enough to kidnap people, so they start searching for volunteers instead. They find a 3 person family that is willing to submit themselves to the testing. While the man of the house (Tom) is a normal person, his wife (Ruby) is blind: not to mention that their child was born horribly disfigured. Ruby and Tom happily submit themselves and their child (no idea yet) as test subjects in hope that they are healed and can live a normal life. At the facility is also another patient (stitches) in for treatment (dunno exactly what his disfigurement could of been).

Things go according to plan for awhile, until harmful side effects start manifesting in the test subjects (aggression, paranoia, schizophrenia, etc). These side effects eventually develop into full blown mutations. The mutations vary depending on the intensity of the treatment the patient was subjected to.

Tom gets dinosaur hands after his original hands were healed when he got them cut off by getting them stuck in the Z hatch.

Ruby has third eye after getting her blindness cured.

Red has huge gaping tooth filled maw after getting the slash in his cheek healed, etc.
