Tom begins to carry their new acquaintance upstairs, making his way to the surface access hatch.

Ruby jumps down into the room below, trying to reach the symbol-laden clock downstairs as quickly as possible.

It's only a matter of time until Ace escapes again, and he'll be looking for them.

Ruby lands safely in the room below.
The backup console here is still not receiving power.

She quickly heads downstairs to the clock dial, now that she's recovered the wooden EYE PEG.

Good idea. Ruby and Tom both make sure their radios are on.

Ruby quickly climbs down into the brig, which is still as broken as ever, and darts into the side room.
There, she finally replaces the wooden EYE PEG and dials it to the symbol that corresponds to the console she used when she first woke up.

There'll be plenty of time to postulate theories and pump Weaver for more information after we get out. If I know this type of game, it'll have a post-ending encyclopedia to peruse.

While Ruby waits for the system to respond, Tom runs into FILBERT. Apparently he shook off a massive dose of tranquilizer rather quickly. He menaces with spikes of flesh at Tom. He seems even more ravenously determined than last time, eager to rip Tom to pieces.

Tom you're turning into a monster, just like the others. You shouldn't escape, look at what you're doing, look what you're going to bring to the world. Think about it, the extra arms, your super strength, your enormous penis... none of it is natural.

The only thing to do is kill the bird now, and decide if you kill yourself stopping Ace and 6 getting ruby, or if you shutdown the escape now, and stop all this horror fro getting to the real world

Out of pity, Ruby tries to call to Subject Six, but it's no good. He sits shivering in his grief, muttering to himself in fear of Ace.

Ruby enters the Lobby. The ex-prisoner seems to have regained some of his motor skills and is shakily climbing the now-open ladder upwards. Tom says his name is "Jay".

Tom is visibly shaken. If that giant monster is afraid of Ace, he doesn't stand a chance, even if he were to manage another burst of adrenaline.

For the record and the Sup/tg/ Archive, I'm laying down how, I believe, this is to go.

Ruby is Subject 7. There are also two Toms (as there are in Animal Crossing)- Tom Nook, and Tom the Cat. Nook is Subject 5, who we BELIEVED was Subject 6. The photo reinforces this.

Tom the Cat is the actual Subject 6, who we believed (and so did he) was Subject 5. Subject 6 is purportedly psychopathic etc.; Tom's utter destruction of Filbert reinforces this.

However, he appears to have gotten better.

Also, the person in the coffin at the end is most likely Subject 8. This follows the logical skip-progression that Red was using every third subject (2, 5, 8) in his whatchadoozit experiments, plus all three of them were female (which may not be important, but it's worth noting).

Without him we wouldn't have escaped. The flock that works together..

Also, the notes can be misleading(just as we believed nook was 6 because we read to much into the notes). They call him DANGEROUS, but there were much more dangerous things than TOM hanging around. Tom only happened to get a special mention cause he is the one that got noticed before EVERYTHING WENT OUT OF CONTROL. Otherwise everyone would have been labeled and locked up.

Really, the only purpose knowing 6 was dangerous served was to make us unnecessarily paranoid about getting Nook's help. It wasn't about OH HAI TOM KILLS YOU AFTER THE CREDITS. It was to freak us out.

We came in expecting him to kill us. So we saw what we wanted. Masterful on Weaver's part. Tom never posed a secret danger. It was about making us too scared to get the help we needed. If we got Nook's full support it all probably would have gone lots easier.

It was staring us in the face all along.

Subject Six was confined. The notes said it. That is where we found Tom. Something else mentioned a subject being confined to Lab B. We jumped to the wrong conclusion because we didn't want to believe our Tom was dangerous. We WANTED him to be good.

Even worse, which Tom got their hands damaged in the z hatch? We assumed it was ours and the hands just grew back from the treatment. Obviously not. Nook was missing hands(and more), and we know from the most recent batch of notes that the REGENERATIVE POWERS HAVE LIMITS.

It can't replace something that just isn't there, but it can fix problems. If you lose an arm you have to either sew it back on and let the voodoo work or you don't have an arm. It won't regrow the whole limb. Just reanimate against all odds.

We stabbed tom.. where..? In the gut. Guess where his mutation is.

I regret that I do not have any "response" type images with expressions serious enough for these posts.

We fooled ourselves. We actively deluded ourself to keep up the idea that the Cat wasn't the evil one. My GOD. We found him in a cell THEY DUG UP AFTER THE COMPLEX WAS BUILT because they had to confine someone THAT BADLY. We found TOM in the place they went way our of their way to build. Yet we ignored this.

Even I had the revelation at one point that all the evidence pointed toward our Tom being the one that was confined for being highly dangerous. The notes logically said that the cat was the dangerous Tom. Yet I quickly laughed it away. No way, I thought. He's our Tom. Our Tom can't be bad.

Our conclusions were founded on emotion rather than logic..

What if Tom became "dangerous" because Ruby went psycho on him and murdered him? That would explain a few things.

    - Ruby murders Tom
    - Tom goes batshit
    - Tom gets slapped in prison
    - ????
    - Tom forgets
    - Ruby forgets
    - Tom and Ruby escape, have a thousand three-eyed four-armed cabbit babies and annoy the fuck out of environmentalists.

Because Ruby didn't do it. More pointing towards Ruby being the "carrier" for this mutation. Except I thought we'd disproven that already...

    Could be.

But if Tom was locked up in Upper Lab B, how did he end up to the Brig? How did Nook end up in Lab B in his stead?

Really, there still isn't any real evidence that Tom was #6. Though he probably was.

    Correction.

Tom was dragged off by Filbert while he was half conscious and the eye removed. It WAS mutating at that point, and that is why Filbert removed it.

    HE CUT THE BAD OUT

This shit has been on repeat for the last year. Tom and Ruby constantly forgetting each time they try to escape. This time they succeeded.

Shit started to go down in October, but those weren't the last dates we found in the notes. Yet we escaped in.. OCTOBER.

We were there for at least a year. If not more. Endlessly repeating the process of trying to get out. Forgetting each and every time.

Here's a though- if Subject 6 was so dangerous that not only did they lock him in a lab with SUPER RESTRICTED ACCESS, but BUILT A BRIG JUST FOR HIM, why was he able to be in a private room with Ruby?
    >> 02/03/09(Tue)13:00 No.3603127

The BRIG we found Tom in was dug out after the complex was already built. LONG after the tests were underway. It was done so that they could have a place to put Subject Six that was actually secure. Lab B was a temporary measure.

They must have transfered him at some point.
