Hey /tg/, I haven't ever been here so I'm sorry if this isn't on topic.

I'm a regular at /ck/, and posted my new recipe for banana and rose petal smoothies, and someone from your board wrote me a rather touching piece of fiction, and said that /tg/ misses /ck/. So I decided to stop by and see what this place is about, and if I can contribute anything in return.

Well, I can give you my banana and rose petal smoothie recipe, it's healthy and tastes awesome.

    3 small Bananas
3 cups Milk (skim is fine)
2 Tablespoons of rose petal jam
    1 teaspoon of Cinnamon powder

Put all into blender, blend well.

The cinnamon hides the rose petal flavour until the very aftertaste, and it's really nice.

    I hope you enjoy it.

A fa/tg/uy with some pizza experience here:
So far I've found that having the pizza as hot as possible is key, as well as letting the yeast rise for the dough the right amount of time (depending on air pressure and humidity). You can keep the dough near a heat-vent of the oven while it's preheating, to make sure the yeast is happy.

Don't over work the dough, and don't add too much flour. This is key.
    >> Anonymous 04/05/09(Sun)23:00 No.4196510
    Alright, onto the pizzas then.

If you can, make your own dough. Everyone has their own recipe, but remember to knead it well and to let it rise for a full twenty-four hours before continuing so it's silky.

But bases aside, there are a few major things one should do.

    > Firstly, limit yourself to about three or four toppings. If you jam everything under the sun on your pizza, it becomes a mash of mediocre flavour. A limited amount of toppings means they can shine through much better.

    > The absolute most important topping on a pizza is the choice of cheese. Cheese makes or breaks a pizza. If you can go all out on only one ingredient, make it the cheese. If you can, go to an Italian deli and pick up some Bocconcini, which is a soft white cheese, or some Mascarpone if you like a slightly pineapple taste. Otherwise, parmesan will work a treat.

    > Lay off the sauce a little. Too much and that's all you can taste. Try and purchase some semi-dried tomatoes in olive oil, as you can put some tomato flavour back while not overpowering the other flavours.

    > Lastly, try to make them reasonably thin so they firm up. A crispier pizza really allows the flavours to outshine the dough flavour.

Yeah, I know that usually when you want a pizza you want it soon. The dough is if you are planning ahead, like, if your folks are coming around or if you have a date.

Oh, I've always eaten rose petal jam. And I do have something else rose petal related, if you like sweets.

    Candied Rose Petals

    6 roses
    3 eggs
    Superfine sugar

Gently wash the roses and pull the petals from them, touching the petals as little as possible because they bruise easily.
Separate the yolk from the white, discard the yolk or keep for another recipe. Whisk the eggwhite until it foams to separate it a little.
Delicately dip the petals into the egg white, then dip both sides into the superfine sugar. Set the petals onto some baking paper and allow to dry.

These can be used as decorations, or put into a bowl and eaten as a treat.

A strange recipe, but it's actually quite nice. I hope it's to your liking.

Okay, here we go. Haven't cooked these for ages, but they are SOOOO good.

A packet of NOT choc-chip biscuits (cookies) which are reasonably thin
    Sweetened condensed Milk
    Whipped Cream
    Glace Cherries (optional)

Preheat oven to 150 degrees Celsius / 300 degrees Fahrenheit

Pull out the mini-muffin tin and place your biscuits (cookies) so that they sit covering the holes and put them in for ten or so minutes. The goal here is to make them soft but not cook them. While still hot, gently push down on the center with your finger so that it flexes inward to make a cup, without breaking the biscuit. Let cool in this position.

Put the condensed milk in a saucepan and cook it on a VERY, VERY low heat until it changes to the colour of caramel, slowly stirring continuously. This should take about five or ten minutes, but you need to take it off the second it's turned. Spoon into the now cold biscuits, then let cool. If the biscuits are still hot they will soak through and be ruined. Refridgerate to set.

Once done, top with whipped cream and a small glace cherry if you are so inclined.

Sorry, I can't find anything of these on the Internet, so no picture. But I used to love these.

    >>4196965
    >>4197004

In regard to these points, once cold they are not crumbly at all and have no grease, and only sticky if you touch the 'caramel' inside, but it firms up well so it shouldn't happen unless you really put weight on it.

In addition, they are easily portable (if cream isn't added until point of consumption), and give you a quick energy hit. Plus they are SO GOOD. God I want some right now...

I ate a piece of steak lathered in barbecue sauce once. I forgot to eat one day, forgot to prepare the meat, and just grilled it on my George Foreman. I rarely worry about how the food tastes, provided it doesn't kill me. That would be inconvenient.

    >>4197982

The way I see it, using a splatbook makes you more efficient at what you do, similar to the warblade being a better fighter than a fighter. Yes, I admit I have a bit more fun with the warblade, but the ability to do the job I want is the most important thing, as opposed to the flavor of the class.

    1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
    375 grams (13 ounces) Chocolate
    50 grams (1.75 ounces) Butter

    1) Put everything into a heatproof bowl
    2) Microwave on high for three minutes
    3) Mix until mixture is even
4)Pour into brownie tray, refridgerate until set
    5) Cut into squares
    6) ?????
    7) PROFIT

That's it. Nothing else. Looks exactly like in pic.

look, /x/ is great because we have a lot in common, but she only ever wants to play CoC or when she plays D&D she's always something weird like a thri-kreen with 8 tits. The sex was great at first, then we found out about her latex fetish and how instead of screaming OUR name it's always David Duchovny or Keanu Reeves.

I always liked /ck/ better because she treasures our personal time. No, she's not really interested in playing with us and our neckbearded friends, but goddamn it, she's in the kitchen making us pizza rolls for us and making sure we've got plenty to drink.

Think about it, the times you and /ck/ were curled up on the couch watching iron chef, how she smelled like cinnamon and nutmeg from the cookies she made you earlier. How she'd snuggle into you and coo despite your lame-ass jokes about octopus-ink ice cream.

/ck/ was the best thing that ever happened to us. Yeah she eats like an elf, but it's because she cares about us. She made us cookies and loved the shit out us and we dumped her for that dark, "mysterious" skank /x/.

We all should shave, we don't deserve these neckbeards.

Fuck no. They're happy together. /x/ is good for us. This doesn't need to be an issue.

So the food can be strange. Y' know what? IT'S GOOD! Every meal can end up as an encounter! Combat, XP, loot! Think of it man! We can go on quests to purge the monsters lurking in her house!

"bro"? This is /tg/, not some frathouse!

Y'all are just gonna stand there and let the best thing to happen to you run off with your best friend while we're stuck with some grimdark, wierd-o consolation prize?

I thought a beards were supposed to make you manlier, not hide your vagina.

    rolled 1 = 1

I'm going to make a roll to see if I can rape everyone in this thread successfully.

I'm not sure what the difficulty class should be. There's a lot of you, but you're all fa/tg/uys. Maybe DC 15, eh?

    >>4204244
Not a critical failure yet, I get to make another roll.

The chances of rolling a 1 twice in a row are pretty miniscule, so I'm not worried.

OPEN YOUR EYES MAN, our mom/grandma was right: we screwed up when we lost /ck/.

We NEED that little bit of normal in our lives, Christ, haven't you noticed all the furfaggotry around here lately?

/x/ doesn't need a boyfriend, she needs a psychiatrist, and she's gonna bring us down with her if we're not careful.

/x/ also needs to take a fucking shower, I can smell her BO over mine.

dude. get over yourself. What about the other rules?
like 'never re-write history.' /ck/ and us are through. Done. Yea, she's really sweet, and she still bakes for us, but she's with /co/ now, and he's a pretty good dude. Things could be worse. don't turn back the clock, move forward.

/x/ is sweet. we're keeping her. quit trying to dig up the skeletons in /ck/'s closet.

/x/ has more of those anyways, and the loot in those tombs is better.
