06/04/09(Thu)01:34 No.4762123>>4760896 Basically, there's a long-running campaign I've been part of for the past five or so years. I joined up with this ass-awful assassin character, pushing his talent way beyond his stats ICly with cliche shit, and generally made an ass of myself.
In short: most of his physical flaws were excised when he got a new body, he got wings, and got most of his mental deficiencies caused by his original body's failings. His original body was a flawed superweapon prototype, which granted, among other things, a really hyper metabolism, almost fatal vulnerability to poisons, and an utter inability to handle mental trauma.
When I revisited the character recently, I made -sure- to make him an asshole who got what was coming to him. He's gotten his ass kicked innumerable times, including the time when he got Forcecaged in a fight before he could actually -do- anything. Not many characters like him on first contact because he's deliberately an asshole - he estranged his sister in a meeting with her travelling company by being a superb jackass to them -twice-, he recently got his face kicked in by an old enemy(who proceeded to break his wings quite solidly), and instead of just being granted shit as the plot decrees he is literally working himself to death, Batman style, to get it.
I'd say that's an improvement. |
