The vehicle rocks violently over each bump its wheels travel over, effectively shaking all those on board. It makes you slightly nauseous but nothing more. It hasn’t been long since you surrendered yourself to the Septima government, but it certainly seems like forever. Your weapons have been confiscated and your wrists and legs bound by handcuffs.

Try as you might, they don’t budge when you attempt to pull them apart. You give a heavy internal sigh and begin to search around the back of the transport, but you are immediately told to close your eyes by those in the rear with you. You follow their orders without issue, though begrudgingly.

A couple hours pass from your time of capture before you reach your temporary holding cell before you’re put on “trial”. When the back of the vehicle is opened, you can hear voices, though barely audible.

    >What do you want us to d-
    >We don- ugh room for separate cells, just toss them tog-

You’re led out of the transport and brought through the jail yard, your ears easily picking up the whooping and hollering of the other inmates, mostly at Selene. Once inside, it takes little to no time at all for them to register you into the system and you are quickly brought to your shared cell. Your cuffs are taken off and you’re both shoved inside; your body slams against the wall, but you feel no pain. You just slide down and sit on the floor, though, Selene remains standing in silence.

“Selene,” you begin in a low tone. “Tha-“ Before you finish, she cuts you off. “I don’t want your thanks. What I did or did not do was of my own choice.” You sigh and ask her of her current condition instead, despite knowing the answer already. “I’m fine,” she says, which doesn’t surprise you at all. You look around the various cells and notice that you and one other prisoner are isolated from the rest of the inmates.

You stand up and slide your hand up and down the bars that hold you; there’s no way you’re getting out of here with brute force.

I'm assuming our bear form could rip it's way out if needed considering the ease with which we punched a hole in the floor back at the hotel, but for now we need to talk to the inmate to figure out our situation and Selene to get her opinion on escape.

“You’ve met with a terrible fate, haven’t you?”

Your head swings to your side toward the sudden voice that cut the silent air. You see a man in the cell next to you, sitting, hugging his feet, and his head resting on his knees.

“Who would have thought I would have met the legendary revolutionary in a jail, of all places.”

As those words casually flow out of his mouth, you blackout momentarily. All you hear inside your head are muffled words. Though you try as you might to understand and comprehend them, you do not.

    “Who are you?” you ask.

“Me? I’m just a former soldier who didn’t like the way things were working around here.”

"Did you work at this prison?"

If so, ask him about the layout. If not, ask him about the government. It obviously won't be the most unbiased opinon, but it's better than nothing.

“Did you work at this prison?”

“Oh no, I don’t think I could take watching all this prisoners all day, every day.”

“What exactly did you do to get arrested?”

    “Well… I freed several captured revolutionaries. That’s a big no-no in Septima.”

“I see…” You pause for a moment to think up another question. “How do you know me?”

“Huh?” He lifted his head in response to your question. “I think the better question would be who DOESN’T know you. You’re famous, you know; you’re either humble of your status or you’re an idiot, I hope it’s the former.”

You averted your eyes. “Where are we anyway?”

“A holding prisoner for criminals; this place is considerably different than the Great Prison near the Septima Capital. That place is hell while this one is more of a hot spring.”

You sigh and turn your body so your back is against the bars.

    “So, Selene… any ideas?”

She shook her head in response.

    “Tsk.”
“Selene?” you hear the man ask.

The both of you turn your head to the cell next to you only to realize the man had already moved and was pressed up against it – which startles me. His face becomes serious.

“Young lady…” he begins. “Can I…see your breasts?”

In a split second, her fist was implanted in his face and a vein was bulging in her forehead. All you could do was hold in your laughter and look away. To you, it seemed Selene was back to her normal self.

As she removed her fist to see her damage, his face was quite unscathed, aside from blood that dripped out of his nose. His face was still serious, however.

Where exactly in the prison are we? We weren't blindfolded so we should know roughly how deep the shit we are in is, right? Guard posts, how likely we are to make it away after busting out, things like that. We've been shown to be fairly tactically adept so far so it's not a stretch to assume we've assessed the situation on the way down.

Is she? IS SHE? It would seem she dislikes us quite a bit. Enough to almost kill us due to basic biology.

Then again, we HAVE put her through hell since she's been with us. Took her from her home without warning or reason, made her go against her nature, and got her arrested.

There are probably other things I'm missing.

You stand in the middle of Selene and begin to whisper to the man, low enough so he, but not Selene, could hear.

    “Why would you say that?”
    “Why not?”
    “It’s rude.”
    “Oh, is she your squeeze?”
    “No.”
    “What are you, gay?”
    “No.”
    “Then what’s the problem?”
“-sigh- I wouldn’t do that again. The only reason you’re still alive is because we’re separated by these cells.”
    “Duly noted.”

The two of you cease your whispering.

“Where are we in the prison?”
    “Bottom floor, near the basement.”
“How long would it take for us to get to the surface, without interruption?”
    “20 minutes, maybe more.”
    “I see…”

You recall seeing in elevator on your way down. You wonder to yourself who has the keys to it. Your thoughts are cut short when a single guard comes; not for you, however, he stops at one of the other cells.

Well, I get the feeling hanging around for trial is a bad idea so it's time to bust out. Lure the guard over, grab him, and have Selene beat him until he doesn't move any more. Grab the keys and head for the stairs. (Seriously, who uses the stairs when there is an elevator? Should be less chance of being seen or having the elevator shut down.)

Before you can take any action, Selene is the one that takes initiative. When she talks, you notice her speech patterns have donned an accent.

    “Why, sir.”

The guard looks over as he takes out his set of keys.

“I’ma sorry, but it’s just a little too… hot in here today and I just don’t want to wear these clothes anymore… can you help me out by bringin’ me some prison garb?”

The guard nods and leaves, taking little time to get her a set of thin clothes for her to wear. With sultry undertones, she walked up to the man the moment he had arrived at the cell; her hands lay daintily on his shoulders for a few seconds – which caused the man to let down his guard.

Suddenly, she yanked him forward and slammed her head against his, almost instantly knocking him unconscious.

She juggles the keys in her hands as she attempts to open the cell door. It takes several tries before she finds the right one; as the door swings open, the other prisoners begin to yell to be released, but Selene doesn’t hear them. Instead, she’s wrapped up in the awesome she just exhibited.

Selene looks at you with a serious expression at your clichéd statement. You pout as you snatch the keys from her and unlike the man in the cell next to you. When he exits, he rubs his wrists as if he had been handcuffed for a long amount of time.

You throw the keys toward one of them. “Take the stairs and let out as many prisoners on other levels as you can.” He nods frantically, ready and willing to do whatever to be able to escape.

You allow the prisoners to proceed first, and only fighting in order to take care of any stragglers. The moment they rush up the stairs, you hear it: “Prison break! Sound the alarm!” You see the guard rush toward the alarm, but you feel you may not be able to reach him in time.

IMO the armory would be on the upper floors. That way people can quickly get weapons to aid should there be problems outside, and anyone escaping in the basement wouldn't be able to quickly arm themselves.

Also, if we are going on finding Selene's bat and our other items, they most likely have storage for those on the upper floors as well

I have an idea. Think about it: if there was an escape, having the armory on above floors would be bad since the prisoners would gain weapons on the way up. Because of this, it would be best to have the armory in the basement since no one would ever bothering going down if they're trying to escape.

Our stuff is probably down there as well. So I vote:

That's retarded. The cells are in the lower floors to make escaping harder, and the job of a prison is to keep the prisoners in. The weapons would be on the upper floors so the guards could keep the escapees from coming up. Processing was also up top, so we need to go up to get Selene's bat and our sword.

The moment you walk outside into the open, you notice there’s no one around. That is, until you look up in the air. Inside gruesome cages stained with blood were the released inmates, their eyes dead and reflecting fear.

“Did you really think you were leaving here, Wen?”

Your ears catch an all too familiar voice. Above you, sitting on the top of the exit was the very woman who had put you in this prison.

“Didn’t you wonder why there were so few guards inside? I expected you to pull something like this. In fact, I’m sort of glad you did.”

Rising from hidden cover and running out of side doors were the guards that she had previously spoken about. You curse in your mind at failing to remedy that worrisome feeling you had before, which resurfaced as she revealed her back up.

The woman leaped off of the door with an amused expression. She removed a sword that was attached to her back.

“I’m different than the last time we met. I will kill you here and now; with your death by my hands, I’m sure to receive my promotion. Now, kindly… get out of my life.”

Hoookay. They have superior numbers and lots of ranged weapons so we quickly move back through the arch, creating a chokepoint and using the walls to keep them from spreading out and catching us in a crossfire.

The most dangerous one is obviously the woman, so as our strongest and most balanced fighter Ahdan locks her up in combat while Kuhn makes the entrance a bullet-ridden deathtrap for any guards trying to come to her support. If it looks like Kuhn can keep the guards from completely overwhelming us by pinning them down Selene helps us with the woman, otherwise she acts as a reserve and helps whoever needs it most at the time.

Immediately, Kuhn sets down his weapon and fires several shots at the woman, who dodges with ease.

    >>>Damn it, do guns work on ANYONE these days?

He turns away to fire at the guards who had begun to approach at the signs of battle. Selene slams the bat against the ground and swings after one of the guards rushes her. You can hear his ribs crack as she continuously spins in a circle with the man against her weapon.

    >> Home… run!

She suddenly stops. The momentum of the attack sends her enemy spiraling into his comrades, the force of which effectively injuring and/or knocking them out as well.

Before Raven is able to join the fray, you square off against her. You vanish from your position with your blade drawn and swing it while you’re still in the step.

    >CHING

Your blade is stopped as she raises hers in defense.

Kuhn continuously fires off heavy artillery bullets against the enemy, never failing to hit his target.

    >>>There’s too many…

He reaches in his pocket and takes out a grenade, pulling out the pin before toss it into the fray.

    >>>Close your eyes!

At the same time, you and Selene shut your eyes to prevent blindness from the flash. The guards reel from the attack, panicking that they can no longer see.

You open your eyes after the flash and see Raven perfectly fine. She points to her eyewear and smirks.

The longer the battle goes on, the more impossible it seems for victory. Instead of attacking, you take a defensive stance, which seemingly irritates her.

“Just how long are you going to taunt me?”

She vanishes from your sight and reappears not even an inch in front of you. Your eyes widen in surprise; you couldn’t follow her movements. She swings her blade down, but you manage to block it. The sheer power of the strike was enough to break the ground under your feet. Without saying a word, she backs away.

    >You want me to fight for real? What makes you think you’re worth it?

Her expression turns angry at your words.

You stay in your defense stance, though your arms ache from her previous attack. You’re not sure how many more of those you can endure.

    >A child who acts like an adult is still a child.

Raven grits her teeth at your words.

    >You’ve grown stronger, yes, but not enough to ever defeat me.

    “Shut. UP!”

Instead of using her previous technique, she runs at you, swinging her blade wildly. Despite the lack of finesse, she still sends you back with every strike.

“What do YOU know?! You haven’t been around to see me grow! You think you can disappear and then suddenly start saying I’m not strong – I’m not powerful?! I’m tired of your arrogant attitude!”

Her words have an odd effect on you; despite not remembering her, you feel some sort of “sadness” as she speaks. She stops attacking to catch her breath; you can barely keep up with her movements and you feel you won’t last much longer.

You start thinking of ways to try and defeat her, but you don’t get many ideas.

It seems like her whole point is to prove she's strong enough, not necessarily to defeat/kill us. She's starting to get rather emotional... if we can make her cry, she might stop attacking us entirely.

Also, her 'around to see me grow' comment makes me think of a younger sister that looked up to her older brother, especially with her devotion to proving how strong she is now.

"You have got better than you were though...How many years has it been? I can't even remember where we last met, it was a good fight though..."
Acnowlege her to calm her down while she's taking a breather to make it longer, and her answering the questions will give us exxtra info. Also take a breather while we wait, but be on guard.

Tell her your getting tired of this and shieth your sword.

"You are strong maybe even strong enough to beat me, but strength is worthless without control which you lack. Me and my friends are leaving. If you want to stop me stab me in the back."

With any luck she will realize that if she does stab him it will be inforcing what he had just said.

I wonder what effect revealing our amnesia would have.

Meh, she probably wouldn't believe it even though it would explain why she's beating our collective ass.

This, we probably knew her when we were younger. Maybe a sister, daughter or childhood friend. Or maybe someone who's family we killed and who vowed revenge on us.
Sound slightly sad when we say it, like we regret missing whatever it is we missed.

Selene mows down the group of blind guard in her path, their bones breaking after each hit she brings with her bat. She seems to have gotten through her group of enemies considerably faster than normal due to the flash grenade.

You hold your blade sideways in a defensive stance, hoping that the members of your brigade are almost finished with their enemies.

    >You’ve gotten better, I’ll admit that. It’s been quite a few years, hasn’t it?

Her expression quickly switches from anger to amusement, which startles you.

“I see. I see now… you’re afraid to fight me. You see how much stronger I am than you, and you’re afraid. Haha… hahahahaha… Hahahahahaha!”

While laughing with a hint of insanity in her voice, she shifts her position. She holds her blade forward with her wielding arm bent, her free arm touching the edge of the blade.

    >That stance!

“It’s time for you to sleep now, brother~!”

She lunges forward, her blade screaming for your blood.

Umm...so much for bear form. I'm assuming that blow is going to be rather devastating regardless of if we block it or not. But then again, she's charging so it should be easy to dodge.

Crap, idk what to do. Dodge and counter attack maybe?

This. We MAY have a change if we all attack at once.

Bear form is impractical in this situation. We wouldn't be able to dodge in such a bulky form, which we REALLY need to be able to do.

Why are we suddenly in Cookie Cutter Hero mode, exactly? Shit is boring.

To be fair though, everyone in this story is psychologically unstable so far, Selene is a sociopath, Raven is emotionally unbalanced and Adahn is made up of about 100 little voice in his head who decide what to do next based on democracy.
Kahn seems normal but then again he has no survival instinct, proved by asking Selene to show him her boobs.
    We're a bunch of crazies.
