I propose a new strategy, then.

Breed throughout the ants, wasps and pigeons, using their bodies for nutrition. At that level of infection - even if we'll slowly be killing them - everything they're near will probably infect other creatures.

Every non-human creature must be eaten from the inside out by our virus. Since we are now airborne, they are not particularily needed.

Also, as far as humanity knows, we don't affect them.

If we continue with this line of infection and don't control the actions of our human victims, there will be little to no quarantine.
