Well, /tg/ I have good news, and a question. I'm the poster from yesterday that was looking for that Circle-A pic; pic could never be more related. The question is this; I started a story yesterday, and was wondering if anyone here would like me to continue; it was about a guardsman and a female khornate daemon...

    Sure, I'll have it.

    I'll start at the beginning...

Eurides Calis hunkered down in the blasted ruins of the manufactorum, his squad mates in positions nearby. They had been cut off from the rest of the regiment three days ago, and had been fighting desperately for the past three days, not for victory, but to survive. The thrice cursed cultists had seemed to know where they were at every turn, and every action had ended up in a running retreat. They would all be dead now, if their commisar had still been with them; luckily, he had fallen in the first day of their separation. No-one would comment that the lasbolt came from behind. Calis would keep his men alive, "...and garshek any fool who would try to see otherwise." Muttered seargant Calis to himself, using one of his home-planet's more tasteful curses. Yet no matter who, nor how many, he killed, whether by power sword, or by las-shot, his men had fallen, one by one; there were only seven of them left.

He was nameless; he knew it from the moment he joined the Imperial guard. Oh yes, he did remember his name; so did his squad members, so did the lieutennant who had sent them on their mission all those days ago, but no one else. No one would ever know how he lived, how he died, and the latter was coming closer. Yet he would be damned if he did not make the Warp remember; he would send enough of its own, whether cultist or, he clenched his jaw just thinking of it, other. He sat there, cleaning his sword, when one of his sentries radioed over the com "More coming, twelve... one... two... well, it looks like this will be it. There's a lot of them." Calis could only smile; he would send them back to the Warp with which they had made their dark pacts, by the Emperor, he would send them back. "Men of Athenar, you know my orders. Fight hard, and use the bodies of the enemy as stairs to the Golden Throne. The Emperor protects." With that, and one last breath, he stood, laspistol at the ready, and popped off the first shot, a cultists gaining a smaller, smoking circle in the middle of the mark of chaos cut into his forehead.

    >>5450045
The battle was joined, and the stench and sounds of death and honor were settling like a warm blanket over the battlefield. It was the only thing that brought Calis any comfort any more; knowing that with each (he pulled off another shot, blowing a chunk out of a cultist's shoulder, before kicking the nearest in the chest) foe (he finished that cultist off with a sweep of his humming powersword, following through to block the strike of a crude, but effective, cleaver) he (his hand reached around, and shot the cultist thrice in the gut, before turning to the growing horde yet again) killed (a lucky shot from a cultist's autogun spanged off his shoulder plate, causing him to stumble, before he returned the favor much more accurately), he would save the life of one of the servants of the imperium. One must fall so others may be saved. A quick glance at an inopportune moment showed him the flamer of the squad had taken a hit to his prometheum tank by the pickaxe of an uncaring cultist. The prometheum ignited, consuming both the cultist and the trooper in flames. All Calis could do was offer a quick prayer to the Emperor, and give the man the Emperor's mercy.

    >>5450053
He was not the only one to fall, though; another was not as lucky as he, and took an autogun round to the face, snapping his head back as the rest of his body crumpled to the ground. They began to pull back; the cultists, for some reason, were desperate to get into close combat, so they would deny them that. They gave way slowly; the worst fate that could befall them now would be to get shot in the back... Though that looked like it just might happen after all; the far door squealed open, the rusted hinges giving way to the cultists feverent pressure. They withdrew into a circle; they were trapped. "Take them all with you, men. Fix bayonettes. Fire until you are empty, fight until your blades break, and drag them all down to the dark pits, so that we may rise to see the Emperor's glory." The front ranks of the enemy fell in a cloud of blood and smoke, as all the lasguns of the five of them who were left were switched to full auto. They couldn't miss. As he fired, though, the cultists not getting any closer, he noticed two things; some cultists, instead of trying to charge forwards, were dragging... no, aranging their dead comerades. The other, which he could hear even above the din of the lasfire, was drums... lots of deep, booming drums, beating to his heart's rhythm. He ignored it; with both sounds, blood flowed... the blood of the enemy, as they could not press in. They had stopped firing, sensing victory was near and in bloodlust to get into combat, no doubt, and that was their mistake...

Yet suddenly, things changed. With a heart stopping wail, horn trumpets sounded all around them, louder than he could think possible. It pained the ears, and caused his heart to beat erratically, so powerful was the blare. He looked on in horror, however, as one by one, with barely a cry, the guardsmen with him began to bleed from the ears, and then the eyes and nose, before their very skin wept blood, as they crumpled. His horror turned to rage, overwhelming fury; he was still standing, though they were not. Raising his sword, he charged the nearest enemy, but was thrown back; a wall of blood had suddenly burst forth from the piled and arranged cultist's bodies. There was something far darker than mere warp-sorcery here, and he finally realized the angular symbol he was standing in the middle of... "The Warp does know your name, Eurides Calis." Came a deep, sonorous, but nonetheless feminine voice from behind him.

Calis whirled to face who had spoken, and he was taken aback; standing there, massive axe resting casually on the ground, was a daemon of the foul powers. Bronze armor curved around what he could only think of as being a female's chest, thinning down to a hinged codpiece, covering what he could only guess what was under there. Yet it only occupied his mind for a second, before the hatred and fury returned... "You! You are what killed my men, daemon! You... you will not succeed against the Emperor's chosen!" A rumble from the daemon's throat rose in pitch to a laugh, as she threw her head back. "Emperor's chosen? I think you must be mistaken, Calis. For your heart beats to a different tune. Your heart beats to the dirge of death, the crescendo of the fight, and the climax of honor. Your heart beats to Khorne." She said, as she walked towards him, casually swinging her axe up to rest on her shoulder.

"Lies! Foul spawn of the warp, I will not listen to them any more!" He shouted, as he charged forwards, swinging his humming power sword. With a casual flick of her wrist, the daemon brought her axe down, breaking his powersword against the ground and wrenching it out of his hands. "Foul spawn of the warp? Lies? Please, that is the realm of the Lord of Change. He's the one who plans everything. Me? I have far more simpler things in mind... You show honor, bravery, and prowess, but deep down, there is bloodlust, and that is a sweet scent that I lust after. My name, Calis, is..." There came next a butchery of sound, like the clash of steel on steel and the soft whisper of rent flesh. "Yet you can call me... Khorna; it may be easier for your tongue. I tell you this, Calis, for you are the key to my existence... This ritual has seen to that."

...and that is where it continues today...

She began to step closer, and he could nearly taste the metallic tang of blood coming off of her... and it was sweet to him. He knew this was wrong, that it was all lies.. that he couldn't possibly... His thoughts were broken asunder with what she did next; she leaned down, being about a foot taller than he, and kissed him on the lips. She remained, her sharp teeth taking a small nip at his lip, and he could taste blood for real, now. Not all of it was his. He began to lose himself in that kiss, in that sweet embrace of death and glory, but one thing caught his eye; the aquilla emblazoned on the armor of his dead squadmates. Dead... thanks to her. "F-for..." He stuttered out, and she withdrew slightly, a smile on her lips as a drop of blood slid off. "Yes?" "F-FOR THE FALLEN, AND FOR THE EMPEROR!" He shouted, knowing that he was dead anyway. His right hand had slipped behind him, bringing around his combat knife, and he thrust it deep into her gut. Withdrawing it, the contents of his other hand became apparent; a krak grenade, primed and ready, which he shoved into the gash. Yet she did the strangest thing; she didn't recoil, she only smiled, and held his hand inside of her. "I know you, Ca-" She made out, before the grenade detonated with a sickening crump. He was thrown back and away from the detonation, and saw no more... (Still continuing)

"Calis? Sergeant Eurides Calis?" He heard a voice calling his name, and the next sensation to return was touch, and he could feel that he was moving. The faste of blood was still in the back of his mouth, but the stench of prometheum fumes and the contained feeling of a chimera. "Wh-what? Yes... yes, sir." He said, his training and drill instructions returning to him. Turning his head ever so slowly, he saw a figure sitting opposite him, chin resting on his hands, and rocking slightly with the movement of the transport. "Good, you are alive. The medicae were doubtful there. You lost a lot of blood, not to mention most your left arm." Something wasn't right; who would care whether he lived or died? Why hadn't he? "I have taken an interest in you, Sergeant Calis." Said the man, the second time he's heard a similar phrase that day.

"Why, sir? What interest could you have in a servant of... the Emperor?" He said, his voice cracking and pausing for what he put off as shock and weariness. "You can call me Inquisitor Dorn, and I know what you have done." The Inquisitor paused, and a feeling of profound fear welled up inside of him, before the Inquisitor continued. "You have held out against an overwhelming enemy force for days, and in the end, accounted for many. You have fought what no normal man should have fought..." With a rustle of leather and rasp of armor on plating, his ears were attuned to the other passengers of the chimera; what he knew from stories as the Sisters of Battle, and one had turned to look at him with an impassive and critical gaze. "I saw the summoning symbol, Sergeant Calis. Even the detonation of a krak grenade did not get rid of that. The warriors of the eclesiarchy here purged the rest of the cultists, though we thought ourselves too late to stop the ritual. We were, and we weren't. It seems like the Emperor looks down on you, Calis, and smiles in your favor." Calis could not read the inquisitor's face; there was another level to what he was saying, a depth of his gaze which he could not read... and that caused the fear to return.

"What about..." "Your men? Their deaths are lamentable, though their souls have no doubt gone on to be with the Emperor. We saw fit to give them a warrior's funeral; it was all we could afford. I assume you want these?" He said, handing over a small pouch. Resting it on his chest, Calis opened it, to find the identi-tags of his men, one scorched from the flames that Calis rescued him from. His jaw clenched, as he fought back the fury, and the tears, at the loss of his men that he had fought so hard to keep alive. It was all her fault... "Khorna..." He whispered, his voice seething. "What was that?" The Inquisitor asked, picking up the sound above the din. "Horns... They were killed by the garshekil horns" He looked up again at the Inquisitor, and tried to sit up, but felt a tug at his left arm. Looking down, he saw various cables and tubes pumping fluids in and out of him, and realized to what extent they had gone to keep him alive. "What... what do you ask of me, Inquisitor Dorn?" With a small chuckle, Inquisitor Dorn waved his hand dismissively. "For you to recover, first of all; we are going to find a prosthesis to replace that arm of yours. Then, you will work for me. I have come to investigate this war, and the cultists actions, and you are the one person who has seen the actions of our foes first-hand. I fear that I am going to have to call upon those warriors of the Ordo Maleus; things have been getting quite out of hand... no pun intended." He finished. No one was laughing.

The shells from the imperial guard basilisks screamed overhead, well on their way to the cultists' positions a few scant miles away. Yet there was a more pressing scream in the young psyker's head, as she darted through the side streets of the once-great hive. He was calling to her, the one she had seen in her dreams. He was in danger now, the howls of the warp threatening to drown out his cries. His soul shone like a lascannon among lasguns, and it was this beacon that guided her onwards, towards the front lines...

The one among millions, the guardsman at the frontlines who somehow had lived past the first sixteen minutes, furiously fired his lasgun into the throng of cultists. Instead of shouts and curses in the face of this overwhelming darkness, all that escaped from his lips were whispered prayers. Frightened prayers, but prayers nonetheless. The commisar that had been attached to his unit stood beside him, firing his bolt pistol, exploding a cultist's head here, blowing a limb off there. He was uttering enough curses for the both of them. This was the guardsman's first campaign, and he hoped it would not be his last. Like a soft breeze where one expected a raging gale, a feathery touch entered into the back of his mind. Thinking it foul sorceries of the enemy, he tried to drown it out with prayer. Yet it remained...

One week. Seven days of agony, as the painkillers wore off, and his prosthetic arm was attached. It felt... cold, as if his real arm had been thrust into icewater. Yet what hadn't killed him, made him stronger. There was a part of him, though, which was still uneasy. He had survived, true... but something was different. This feeling... this vengance, fury, hatred, whichever you called it was a constant companion. He itched to get back at the throats of the enemy, to spill their blood as they had his men. Yet Inquisitor Dorn had bided his time, and he was getting restless. There came a whoosh behind him, as he found himself tracing an angular pattern on the mirror of his bathroom. He turned, to see the door opened, and a servitor waiting with the mind-dead patience they have to be noticed. "Inquisitor Dorn is waiting for you in the stateroom. He instructs you to be ready for war." At last, he thought. Back to war. He nodded, and proceeded to ready himself, before heading off towards the stateroom.

Calis paused as he stepped through the open door, and two pairs of eyes, and ten pairs of optic lenses met his. "Ah, Sergeant Calis, I see you are ready." Inquisitor Dorn said, the only one seated. Maybe in Dorn's eyes, but not Calis'. His simple laspistol and new power sword paled to the sight of the well-oiled stormbolters and halberds of those arranged behind the Inquisitor. One helmed figure, who had been leaning over the Inquisitor and reading a dataslate, gave Calis a nod of recognition, before returning to reading. "Today we strike, it seems. The enemy's plans have moved forwards, and we now know where to strike." "The Emperor is with us." A deep, projected rumble of a voice escaped from the helm of the apparent leader. "We will strike down the heart of this insurection, and our blades will send the pitiful creatures of the warp back from whence they came." 'You mean..." "Yes, Sergeant Calis." Interrupted Inquisitor Dorn. "While you were recovering, daemons have joined the fray. Much blood has been shed, but now, with these fellow servants of the Emperor, we will close this world to the enemy for good." And he, a nameless guardsman in the wrong place at the wrong time, was to be in the middle of it.

The only other unarmored figure there pressed a few runes on a dataslate, and a holo-display flickered to life, lighting up and displaying what looked like a three-dimensional view of an expansive cavern. Figures were marked, as well as a depression in the ground, with a bright glowing pulse in the middle of it. It nearly seemed real time, though he knew it was a recording. The woman, as that is what she was, began to speak, though he only heard her first sentence, "After infiltrating the cultists ranks, Inquisitor, I was able to gain access to this; a small warp-gate forced open deep under the Anaris Plateau..." This was before he had a chilling realization; the pulsing of what only could be the warp gate beat in perfect time with his own heart...

"So Sergeant Calis, are you up for it?" Inquisitor Dorn's voice rose above the female Acolyte's. "You and Lenora here have quite a task; while the brothers behind me take the brunt of the cultists' and Daemons' attacks to the western entrance, they will draw them away from the southeastern entrance, where you two will slip in, and plant charges to bring the whole place down, sealing off the warp gate, and with any luck, destroying the cultist's base of operations entirely." With a quick glance to the flashing red points designating the planting spots, Calis nodded. "Their blood will spill, and their bones will be broken. We have a lot to repay them for." Inquisitor Dorn paused, but smiled. "Indeed we do, Sergeant Calis, indeed we do. Let us be on our way; the fate of the world awaits." He said, and with that, they headed out the door and towards the waiting ground car and chimera; the former having been "appropriated" from a group of cultists. Their blood still stained the sides and hood, which was to their advantage. "May the Emperor guide your hand, as he guides our blades." Was the only other words spoken to Calis by the Grey Knight Justicar, as they boarded the chimera.

I just have a few things before I head off; 1) Thanks for the Archive! 2) I will be doing at least one more story of Eurides Calis after this one is over; hopefully there will be some masonried toilets by this one's ending. 3) I will do requests; 40k is probably my strongest, but I could also try Fantasy, D&D, or anything else, as long as you give me a good enough idea of what I'm supposed to be working with.

Very nice. You ever consider taking requests? And if you did, would they have to be 40k related?

Barring that, do you do commissions?

I have a fetish for romance. Not neccesarily porn, but any sort of relationship with deeper meaning than sex, even if that meaning happens to revolve around killing things.

    Just letting you know.

That's fine, but most sex in /tg/ fiction is "she sucked on his glistening member" and all that. It's there so people can jerk themselves off, not add anything to the story.

Ohoho, just got the Lion'el bit. A Dark Angels fan ey? Romance is usually very much underrated in /tg/ fics, so a bit now and then is good to balance the schlick-tans and other amateur erotica.

Hay OP, are you talking about "Khorna" from this pic? I doublt it, but she's my favorite salesgirl so I must know. This story is awesome. We need more! D :

If she was selling I'd be buying

Also, this story is fucking awesome. I needed someone to approach some of my acolytes on behalf of the blood god... Mind if I borrow her for a little while?

Legend! I can't wait for that; I am always deeply honored when anyone would drawfag for my stories, and if you need something for a comic, I have this and psyker-chan, if you would like.
    >>5451381
Romance is exactly what I'm aiming for, though where that romance goes, you will just have to see.
    >>5453584
Yes, pretty much; a cross between her and >>5450987 , though with armor pretty much like K portrayed in his drawing. Emperor's Champion posted that pic in the original thread, so I based her sort of off that.
Lastly, yes, feel free to use Khorna, Calis, Inquisitor Dorn, whoever you want for your Dark Heresy campaign; let me know how it turns out. :D
As far as the story goes, expect more either tomorrow or Monday, depending on if my home computer will let me on 4chan (bloody IP mixup, and that). Same time; noon GMT +2. If there is anything else you want to know, say, or whatever, keep on posting; I can read it on my phone.
