    Greetings People of the Sun!

You are the undisputed ruler of all that you survey (the beach, into the surf a little, and a bit of the jungle), though it didn't come without a little bit of stumbling along the way. You are currently engaged in religious Schism, which will hopefully be resolved with the glorious death of those heathen Moon-worshiping cowards which oppose your divine will.

Your spawn are progressing nicely. You have a small supply of salt with which to begin preserving your meat. Your search parties have returned once again reporting that they have found traces of the unbelievers heading inland, but cannot catch them without staying out overnight. Still no luck finding the missing individual.

You have 2 additional sharpened bone weapons and 1 additional hammer.

It is a glorious new day!

    >I skipped you ahead a day. Today will be a shorter session, sorry.

Hello again, GoTD! Good to see the quest starting right on time. Now then, I've a question I'd love an answer to. So some of the most active posters last time were Krabhommad, Warrior Krab, Krhornab, BOSS KRAB, etc, but are they actually "in-game?" Like, do these players have separate control of individual crabs? I was under the assumption we were all collectively controlling the first sentient krab, the prophet.

Tools are developed, a different subspecies of larger Krabs is currently being indoctrinated, we have one missing member whom we are searching for, and we still have yet to hunt down a fleeing band of heretical krabs

Ok, so all of the characters are imaginary, good. It would be impossible to keep track of all these characters running around. I'll be sure to keep that in mind.

Anyway, it sounds as though we cannot kill the unbelievers without spending multiple days abroad. HOWEVER, we have to leave our beach some time. The question is whether now is the correct time to do so. I vote... no, now is not the time to attack.

The unbelievers are not even our enemies, strictly speaking. They haven't shown us ill will, just distaste for our religion. Traveling through the unknown jungle to fight a battle against the biggest members of our species of unknown number, overnight, is just asking for a critical blow to our forces. We need to build up the faith of our new members so as to expand our forces. That should be our first order of business.

This would be great for the warriors! We could have a few unsharpened bone weapons made for practice.

Hrm. We do not want rebellion from our bored warriors. Now here's what I'm thinking. We are not an empire, we are not even a town. We're at best a village, or better still a band of nomads in the first stages of developing agriculture. We cannot afford to support a professional military. Instead, I suggest we form a militia. All of our "warrior" caste should also double as heavy workers, who in times of trouble can be quickly assembled and used for defense or limited offense. Sort of like Minutemen from the Revolutionary War. So let's get half of our current war party and start them drilling. They will spend today mock-fighting each other with the weapons to acclimate themselves to them. The other half should be sent out into the sea to get that farm fully established

Down towards the corpse site the beach dwindles to nothing, but upwards where the long jut of rock is it continues for a long while, eventually turning.

    >>5767962
You have had mock battles before, they were fairly well received.

Your warriors quickly take to this sport, happily wailing on one another non-lethally. Their devotion to the Sun also seems to be growing.

Oh, second part of my idea. The next day our warriors should switch out, so that every other day is a training day, while the time in between is resting and working

Large shells would be better, as a normal sized krab could carry it easilly. Perhaps we could use sticks from the jungle to hoist the glyph high into the air, so that all may see it

These warriors have been promised for for a full two sun passings that they were going to get to hunt heretics. They'll be very very upset if some of them are sent to the kelp pools...

I still think we should send the war party through the edges of the jungle to convert heretics.

excellent idea. Perhaps our most fiathful and fastest krabs should go on longer scouting runs (as a group, of course) to find the fleeing heretics so that our warriors can engage them?

There are no non-believing krabs anywhere on the beach, that you can see at least.

I merely suggested a few rocks because of the scarcity of our large shells.

The banners are a great idea. Perhaps other krabs will see them and approach us peacefully. We could discuss the Sun with them!

I meant edges of the jungle, like, on the inside of the jungle. We should have them go in further than our food harvesters do making in depth searches for heresy.

They have been going in as far as they can searching for the fleeing heretics, they are reasonably confident that there are no other krabs in the immediate vicinity.

It seems since if there are any heretics in the jungle that they're too far away to find without staying overnight, we should send out search parties with food simply to find them. Then when they return they can guide a war party to the heretics.

Warrior Krabs will want to practice their fighting quite often... But we can make big deals out of some of the fights with more notable contenders.

We really should practice small krab on BIG KRAB combat, to train our warriors for war against the BIG HERETICS.

Two krabs each with bone and shell shield in a large circle under the sun? Maybe the bone weapons could be crossed.
