    267 KB AQ- D.E.A.T.H. Pt 3. Anti-Fate !Dx8/5aCn.k 10/25/09(Sun)13:07 No.6428286
    >Pt 1 http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/6120589/
Summary: Setting up a rescue mission to aid some scorpions, a bit of diplomatic interaction with one of the spiders, and some general colonial updates.
    >Pt 2 http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/6317808/
Summary: Focused on dealing with some Aphids, and learning some about an organization called The Order of Ignis, which appears to be religious in nature. The Order appears to be a vengeful group, who will punish others severely for each member killed. Moved some of the delayed hatching eggs from the large mineral clusters.

    >Time frame: 15.5 hours after birth of the queen.
    >Focus options: Final legs of the aphid rebellion, Spider-wasp conflict, Scorpions, General Hive management.
    >> Anti-Fate !Dx8/5aCn.k 10/25/09(Sun)13:25 No.6428534
Last interaction post from previous thread:
    >""You've spoken of something. Something new to us. What is this Ignis you speak of?"

The aphids give no answer, beyond further fear pheromones, and some of regret, loss and agony. They seem less communicative without the black one.

The black aphid, and the aphid which ran have both been killed.
    One rogue aphid remains.

As the number of ants searching increases, they cover all of the food chambers, leaving behind a number of ants to protect the queen, and a few in each chamber they search. They have searched through all of the chambers, except the deep hive location, the path to betty's hive, and the treatment center.
Traveling to the deep hive to search through there will take significant time however, and it is currently occupied by a number of ants working to properly excavate it. . . All these locations can be searched shortly, but the deep hive would require devoted search to completely search it in the time it would take to search the rest of the hive."

Alright, I'm here, was doing yardwork.

Lets see, we were getting ready o go all braveheart on some wasps. What was the ETA to tunnel completeion or did it finish.
    >> Anti-Fate !Dx8/5aCn.k 10/25/09(Sun)14:50 No.6429642
    Tunnel finished.

Awesome, lets pile out and start fighting some wasps. The digger/worker splendor team go explain the whole "this way to saftey maam" thing to the scorpians. Keep a 25 warrior sternguard in the tunnel to keep the wasps out durring evac

Oh and how is wounded spider doing, we sent him worker suport, but they're just lil workers and now we got big WarriorII's on the feild.

yeah I figure the aphid stuff done last thread is about a timestamps worth of action.
    >> Anti-Fate !Dx8/5aCn.k 10/25/09(Sun)15:19 No.6430020
    >Yes the actions of last thread were about a timestamps worth, but that doesn't prevent you from pursuing some of the other areas of interest. I've been slowly changing how I run the quest -- its focused on individual areas of interest right now. So, spider/wasps or do you want to focus on the Scorpions for now?
    >> Uncle Ant 10/25/09(Sun)15:23 No.6430059
    >>6430020
Spider/wasps Though as its all one battlefeild the scorpian bits will probly end up involved.

(on a side note to the masses, this is pen and paper sim-ant, seriously get in on this)

    >Wasp/spider conflict most recent report:
Tunnel to the scorpion's defensive position is complete.

    Ants in the tunnel
    --10 Infernic Diggers (SPLENDOR).
    --80 normal warriorIIs (SPLENDOR).
    --70 Infernic warriors (30 sloth).
    --45 normal warriors (20 sloth).
    --15 normal workers (10 sloth).

The wide spider is still being attacked by the wasps.
The silver spider has joined the wide spider's conflict -- it now appears to be about evenly matched -- the aid of the ants could tilt the favor in either direction most likely. It would take a significant force though to do so reliably.

Already aiding the wide spider by acting as a perimeter:
    --20 Normal worker.
    --15 Infernic WarriorIIs (SPLENDOR).
    --30 Normal WarriorIIs (SPLENDOR).
    >> Anonymous 10/25/09(Sun)15:51 No.6430390
I don't remember most of the qualities of our ants, but i believe there were some sloth ants, can we use those as our weapon against the wasps? that way we'll also thin the number of bad traits (if there's another trait that requires elimination before, go for it, i don't remember what we had)

    >There are 60 sloth ants, some of them are only worker ants. None of them are powerful WarriorIIs. Will you send only these, and who will they aid?
Remember: wasps can fly, and are working in pairs which may make them difficult to wound as long as they can fly. The spider, on the other hand, is larger than the wasps, but is grounded.
    >> Uncle Ant 10/25/09(Sun)15:58 No.6430458
    >>6430390
Sloth isnt a problem we have food that counters it. Everyone fight, except diggers and and the sternguard (25 regular warriorII)
    >> Anonymous 10/25/09(Sun)16:04 No.6430521
We should wait until the wasps attack the spider or the spider pins one in the ground to attack and dismember it

Of course, ideally we would attack them before they attack us, but it seems they've got the advantatge

    >1 for attacking now, 1 for waiting. I think? Waiting for a tiebreaker.

ants are much easier to replace than possible spider allies. I think our little swarm should be agressive. Split the wariors evenly between the fights (wounded spider+silver and the other spider/scorpians). Part of the goal to make sure the scorpians are safe so the spiders can fight offensively (not worring about keeping civilians). Big question (for me ) is what to do with the workers. I mean they can fight and every little bit helps, but we may need their numbers for some random suport thing, i duno

    >>6430702
I meant waiting as a tactic, mostly since we can't attack them in the air (i think) still, the problem is the lack of people

    >These ants move to aid the wide spider and silver spider in their fight.
    --40 normal warriorIIs (SPLENDOR).
    --35 Infernic warriors (15 sloth).
    --25 normal warriors (10 sloth).
The red wasp is caught by the swarm as it grapples lands to bite and try to sting the wide spider.
Your warriors are tangling with the red wasp when the black wasp plunges towards the warriors as well -- they can hold onto their restrained wasp, who cannot fly away right now, or they can turn to face their new opponent.
Even as the warriors restrain the fairly massive red wasp, it continues to struggle against them, and three of the normal warriors have fallen to its jaws while an infernic one was caught by it's stinger as it moved just a little too slow.
    >> Uncle Ant 10/25/09(Sun)17:32 No.6431587
    >>6431309
Stay on the red wasp, try to cut/tear/destroy its wings. Be aware for the black wasp and try to use the red wasps body as a sheild from its attacks. If the oportunity for a decisive attack against the black presents itself, take it, but its best to focus on finishing the red before tackling the black.
    >> Anti-Fate !Dx8/5aCn.k 10/25/09(Sun)17:40 No.6431678
    rolled 1, 3, 4 = 8

The warriors focus on tearing at the wings of the red wasp, only minding the black wasp for chances to tear into it.
Suddenly, the massive wide spider jumps into action, rearing its massive jaws up to stab into the red wasp, while the black wasp dives towards the red wasp and the swarm of ants covering it.
The red wasp continues its struggles trying to free its wings and take to the air.
The warriors can probably manipulate the red wasp and themselves out of the path of one of the two giant combatants, or they could scatter, hoping that one of the two will smash into the red wasp, killing or stunning it -- or they could try something a bit more complex.
    >> Uncle Ant 10/25/09(Sun)17:58 No.6431876
    >>6431678
Those are not good rolls :/
    Anywho
Out of the way? naw, get IN the way, try and hold red wasp still to allow the spider an easy kill, or if it presents itself move red into the way of black wasps attack (both a physicle victory in defeat of the red wasp, but a moral blow to the living wasp, makeing it kill its comrade)
    >> Anti-Fate !Dx8/5aCn.k 10/25/09(Sun)18:04 No.6431947
    >Going to need decisive action on this one -- can't plot and plan and carefully maneuver a group at the absolute last instant.
Either you go for rolling the red into the path of the black, or you sit there / make sure the red gets hit by the spider.
    >> Uncle Ant 10/25/09(Sun)18:15 No.6432085
    >>6431947
Oops, sorry thought the black was charging us also, stay and make sure the spider gets the red.
    >> Anti-Fate !Dx8/5aCn.k 10/25/09(Sun)18:28 No.6432237
    >The soldiers hold the red wasp in place as giant fangs slash into them and the wasp. Three of the warriors are slain on spot, but the red wasp loses its wings and takes two large punctures to its thorax and abdomen -- it will not survive long with those wounds.
While the warriors were concentrating on letting the spider finish off the red wasp, the black wasp dove into several of the Splendorous WarriorIIs and claimed four of their lives, before taking to the air again.

During this brief moment of calm a rumbling voice booms out to the warriors from the large spider:
"Heh. Crazy little bastards aren't ya? I don know yeh but ya gave yer lives to help slay my foe... I suppose yer gonna want somethin' aftah this? But now's not the time. Still got tha black bastard tah deal with."

Meanwhile Silverspider has traveled over to the scorpions once more, calming them down. -- it looks like its just the warriors, the wide spider, and the black wasp left.
