    30 KB THIS IS YOU~ Anonymous 11/10/09(Tue)00:07 No.6641759
    DARKNESS BEYOND TIME

You did it, you broke reality, and with your sin of paradox, you brought everything crashing down around you. Your world no longer had the right to exist, you had undone that, destroyed that privilege you weren't even aware of with your carelessness. Its essence and lifeblood, the mercurial sands of time, seeped from the cracks you wrought into it, escaping this dying place, evaporating into dimensions beyond your ken.

As suddenly as this forbidden revelation comes, you feel everything give way as your reality falls, severed from the causality of the multiverse, left to slip between the infinite veins of existences into oblivion. The last thing your consciousness recognizes is the immense pressure of time as you sink into the blackness.

But consciouness greets you once more, welcoming you to the darkness beyond time, the graveyard of realities. This a land devoid of light, yet your eyes still see. This a land devoid of time, yet your heart still beats. Only the patchwork ruins of broken universes lay here. frozen in time and forgotten by physics. Only misbegotten souls forsaken by fate and sinners of paradox wander this darkness with you.

Time is all you have, spend it wisely.

Thus far you have made the following discoveries from last time
    >You reanimate things by giving them your time
    >You cannot take back time you have given
    >You must touch that which you wish to reanimate
    >Nonphysical warmth is associated with the amount of frozen-time locked within something
    >Timless liquids behave almost like solids.
    >You can dig through, and even consume timeless water.
    >Thrown timeless things will glide to a halt while reanimated things will behave as they should
    > Sinners see shades, forgotten see fissures, Innocent see neither
    > Wanderers can sense fake names
    > Your core is in your chest and is important
    > You can find your "inheritance" in a place familiar to you
    > Fire contains a small amount of time

    Areas you have discovered
    >Forested river area with waterfall
Here you have a reanimated fish.
    >Sunken City
Here you discovered Jorunn and the little girl, as well as the shadow things.
    >Apocalyptic City Ruins
Here you discovered blue stones wreathed with teal fire, from which you took time from. The area Rachev claims to be from is south of here in a burnt out park.
    >Familiar Mall
Here you met Rachev. This place is very familiar to you.

    Known People
    >Alete (Innocent)
A young girl you reanimated. She has been crushed by the loss of her friend Jorunn, but you are helping her deal with it. She is your traveling companion.
    >Rachev (Forgotten)
Another wanderer who taught you some of the basics of your condition. Despite his somewhat sinister appearance he's a jovial fellow.

    >Your latest actions
You met Rachev and guided him from the Familiar Mall to the Apocalyptic City Ruins. Because he said your "inheritance" could be found somewhere familiar you returned to the Familiar Mall with Alete. When you reached the food court a piercing pain shoot through your head and feel to your knees, when you recovered you found self looking up at you, calmly reading a newspaper and drinking a cup of coffee in one of the food court's tables.

    >Last Entry
You stand up and calmly take a seat across from yourself, folding your arms infront of you. "Hello."

Your otherself meticulously folds the paper and puts it down and glares at you. "Look what you did, I go through all the effort to get that job at Gray Ridge, and then the moment you sweet talk your way into the good doctors panties and her time machine, the first thing you do is come back here and cause this. We had restraint at one time! We knew when to listen to people! I know she wasn't the kind of person to not tell you the countless million things that could go wrong when playing with a time machine! When did money become so important that you were willing to risk damning the universe?"

You deadpan when hear your other self say this. Yes you certainly remember having a job working Gray Ridge Universal Engineering as the CID liaison... and the part about having the hots for that one doctor there was true, but her theory for time travel was years off. "That's great and all, but I really have no idea what you- I'm... Fuck, we're talking about. Maybe a quick refresher would be in order?"

The other you slides his glasses down his noses and gives you a chilling glare. "You're going to play dumb with me? YOU ARE GOING TO PLAY DUMB WITH ME?" He leans back in his chair and begins to cackle maniacally. "YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME? YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID AND YOU KNOW IT!" He slams his fist down on the table and glares at you. He stands up and throws his arms up in the air as if to begin to speak aloud to the room full of timeless people, "HEAR THAT! HE ISN'T EVEN GOING TO ADMIT HE DID THIS TO YOU! HE WON'T OWN UP TO HIS SIN!"

You hear gasps of horror and you think you see movement out of the corner of your eye, though when you look there is nothing but stilness and silence.

Yes, but suddenly deciding we're the chosen one who'll fix the world isn't exactly character develop.

Like I said, take it slow. Let our motivations develop gradually. See where the path takes us. Besides, we've got to worry about more important things right now, like survival.

Fact of the matter is, we can't do shit about that right now, and all you're doing is causing issues for me while you whine about what happened." He moves into swipe at you with his black flames but you easily evade, "Trillions dies, ended universe, whatever but I have too many important things to be doing in order fix this universe to be wasting any more of my time on you, whether you've got a crush on me or not, I have someone important counting on me and that's that." You deliver a jaw shattering punch to him, sending him reeling backwards.

    "...CRUSHED..."

He grin wryly and pull him back up, and you slam you fist into his chest, finding that it gives way until you have you arm buried down to the elbow in his chest. You feel something form in your hand, something that you have no words to describe other than "yoursness".

"Thanks for the memories" you say as you abruptly pull out the object, sliding your glasses back up to the bridge of your nose. Suddenly the world blanks out and when you open your eyes you find yourself laying on your back with you fist buried in a large red eye enveloped by ghostly white tendrils of misty ectoplasm. You pull your first out and you find yourself holding what appear to be tiny spec of pure orange light that draws you gaze into its infinite depths.

"You are time's ambitious pursuit" you hear from nowhere, as if the sound had suffused everything. You feel your chest grow warm and the orange spec begins to pulse. You remove your tie and unbutton your shirt, and place you hand over your sternum, you feel an object enter it. When you look into your palm you see a small glowing mobius strip floating gently there, colorless yet glowing with power.

The soft pulse almost taunting you to push yourself further than you thought you could.

You step away from her with a purpose in your mind and in your heart, the orange said that you'll be time's ambitious pursuit and you see no problem making that a reality.

Alete looks up at you, puzzled at your new sense of determination. "Where are doing now?"

"We're just going to look around, I feel... more alive now," you say with a grin. You walk around slowly, observing the food court in case anything else decides to mess with you, but theres nothing aside from its numerous timeless patrons. You do notice a man falling backwards out of chair frozen mid fall, with the tray full of food launched into the air, the scene strikes you as quite amusing. When you look at it closer you see a small shadow clinging to what looks like a petrified piece of lettuce in the air.

    >> AMBITION TIME~ Anonymous 11/10/09(Tue)03:12 No.6643555
You walk toward the shadow, carefully so to not let it sense your presence, though your still not entirely how they do that, but you approach slowly and quietly nonetheless. Though as you creep forward, you hear a sound that you can sum up as a mix between creaking wood and rubber scuffing against rubber in an eerie melody. You can't place the direction of the sound but as you near the shadow you can feel it grow stronger.

You wiggle your hand a little bit and you find that it gives in certain directions but it feels sharp in others. You find it quite interesting, but the shade appears to be alerted by the small movements now and it seems to wavering between continuing its meal and fleeing. You try backing off but when you do, you feel your foot hit another invisible snag and you feel it snap like broken glass. You see the shade dart off the piece of lettuce and you instantly realize that you need follow suit.

Though when you go to move away, you notice that usually quick shade seems sluggish and the noise's pitch has deepened considerably. You see ripples in the air begin to form near where the man is sitting and you run from it, speedily darting back over to Alete before the ripples quickly turn into a blast wave of overbearing pressure, sending the food items flying and shattering the man much like Jorunn. You watch with rapt attention as this all plays out in slow motion before you eyes before you feel an overbearing tiredness and the world regains its pace.

Alete looks up at you with a look of awe and surprise, "You can run that fast?"
