Summary of Part 1: See Part 2 Thread in the archive.
Summary of Part 2: After calling forth, meeting and having a conversation with a goblin name Gorewarp, The forgotten king finds the goblin runes of "Pestilence and Sacrifice". The forgotten king enters a labyrinth with his skeleton minotaur guard. The forgotten king also discovers that there used to be Paladins of the old order in the crypts. After entering a room following the minotaur guard in, the forgotten king discovers that the minotaur guard was never on his side but was rather leading him to his brother, the traitor king. The forgotten king them cripples his brother with the pestilence rune, but the brother retaliates with strong attacks, the goblins (which have been stalking the forgotten King since their encounter with him at the camp, with Gorewarp leading them) burst in and save the forgotten King. After the forgotten king severs the head of his traitorous brother and activates the pestilence glyph he inserted into his brother in his first attack, He absorbs the soul of his brother (which causes a corruption to start within himself) and the body of his brother left behind begins being mutated due to the pestilence rune. The Forgotten King then makes his escape from the crypts in a secret route he discovers, He is stopped by Gorewarp who then gives him a black cloak and 7 Goblin Runes, the forgotten king then convinces gorewarp to leave the crypts and travel with him. The last thing that happened in part 2 were Gorewarp and the forgotten king going up the stairs and out of the Crypt at long last.

The steps... there had to be at least a few thousand of them, but the forgotten king trudged on, he felt his strength and nigh on infinite stamina leave him as he descended up and up the stairs. His two fingers felt bare without his enchanted golden rings, his clothes worn. Gorewarp was having no trouble, often times going ahead hundreds of steps and patiently waiting for you to catch up. But finally, you reach the top, the light flooding in blinds you, as you are sure your eyes have not witnessed it as bright as that for thousands of years.

Gorewarp at your side, his face not amused, more interested, waiting alongside you. You alongside a mountain wall, bordering on a forest. There are very large mushrooms growing all around, and a path long forgotten leading into the forest.

    Action?

They are a good 4 feet tall on average, some curve, They are of blueish green in color, Others tower at about 8 feet. Many dots at the top indicate poison or danger, and many of them seem to be hosts to fireflys and similar creatures.

Gorewarp steps up to one, and cuts it in half with his axe. From inside, a flurry of beings, they look like small lights with wings, fly into forest from inside of the mushroom.

You sit and rest, Gorewarp seems to breath in the air around.

"forgotten king... forgotten king.... the air here is fresh, it poisons my lounges". He says, and he walks around, waiting around as you sit.

About 20 minutes passes, and nothing of importance happens.

You stand once more, now that your legs have rested you can continue on.

"Gorewarp, you gave me multiple runes earlier of goblin origins, but you neglected to mention what they were of" The Forgotten King states.

Gorewarp turns, his face seems to show that he is in passive pain, he says coarsely "Each one is what you consider to be the 7 'sins' ".Gorewarp said sins as if he were choking on something. "They are, Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Lust, Gluttony, and, of course, ...Greed."

In this time while you are pondering the secrets of the mushrooms, the life inside, and the gobstones, Gorewarp is getting tired.

"Forgotten King, let us be on our way, i grow tired of this clearing, let us see the world we journeyed to see."

And then he walks up to you.

You stand and go through the path, as you continue the mushrooms grow taller and taller, but you notice something else. There are claw marks on the mushrooms, large ones. There are clawed animals here, strong ones at that. As you move on the road twists and turns, becoming more and more clear as you continue. You come across a giant mushroom, perhaps 46 feet tall and at least 8 feet thick.

This town was formed by the survivors of "The Sundering", and has thrived ever since. The town is controlled by the Gray Guard, they are the faction under control of the King of Blades. There used to be a ruler here, but the gray guard executed him and took control roughly 30 years ago.

You hand over the pieces and you head up the stairs to the second floor, you open the door with your key and head in. Inside is a Bed, a cupboard, and a table.

    What now?

"A basic illusion spell should do it" you hear a voice from behind you say. It is Gorewarp. "I've been following you, and i can see what you are thinking. As i said, a basic illusion spell should do it."

You grab your scepter, and you try. Your clothes change to match those of the citizens, and your face and limbs solidify as if they are not ethereal.

"See, simple, oh forgotten king!" Gorewarp says.

There's a riot outside anyway, might as well have some fun since you're outside. But that is neither here nor there, I'm very intrested in these gray guard fellows, I have a hunch that they might be responsible for my current condition... And even if they aren't, I think they can be of great use to us.

You pull the rings you got from that grave robber, there are at least 20 inside. You move your hands over them, and suddenly a vision.

You are but a boy, and your elderly father, the king, is showing you this exact same box, with the exact same rings, it looks exactly as it does now, the box is untouched by time. And the vision is over.

You move your hands over the rings... All of them are magical. All of them.

    What do you do now?

This was a huge improvement from last time, the important part of running quest threads is making progress. When players make good decisions, shit gets done. Even when people can't agree on something, throw something in to get the plot moving, people will most often run with it.

For one, gorewarp. I love his little quirks, he's a welcome addition to what would be solitude, a marvelous contrast to backstabbing minotaur skeleton. Another reason would be that we're outside, and it's a much more diverse and vast place. When we were in the crypt, I didn't expect it to be XBAWX HUEG, but it did seem like it was lacking substance.

I'd imagine he's a little shorter than us, his limbs are well muscled, but long and lanky compared to the rest of his body. And a generic goblin face, that never fails to break into a familiar grin of mischief.
