    Previous Thread:

Time until Fleet's arrival: 4.75 days
Time until Inquisitorial Rendezvous: 15 minutes
Inventory: Ripper named "Chewy", Inferno Pistol, assorted archeotech
Current Biomorphs: Rending Claws, Mantid Claws, Bioplasma, Feeder Tendrils, Chameleonic Scales, Drug Miasma (Obscura, slaught, frenzon), Adrenal Glands, Egg Sacs, Synapse Node, Warp-Lobe, Pistol Socket, Ovipositor, Flesh Hooks, Stinger, Toxin Sacs
Warp Abilities: Telekinesis, Telepathy, Mind-Blast, Localized Shadow in the Warp, Synapse Control, Levitation

You are waiting in the trophy room of Gordon Ovre, churning out camorippers at a rate of roughly one every five minutes. You have six so far, awaiting orders.

    WHAT DO?
    >> Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)22:13 No.7181442
This hive node requests that biomass designation M a i d be made to inform this lictor of the location and all pertinent information as to the danger of the H u n t e r in this biomass Hive Nest. This hive node suggests this is the most dangerous known enemy currently- and an enemy forewarned is an enemy forearmed.
    >> Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)22:13 No.7181444
Finish consuming all of the other trophies. It'll actually look less suspicious if it looks like somebody just broke in, stole EVERYTHING, and walked out.
    >> Veteran Sergeant Zeph !7d0rZrDTyk 12/17/09(Thu)22:13 No.7181445

    Sauce on OP's cutenids

Also, camo on the roof of the trophy room, mind control maid to let them in. Gas house, nom acolytes, ???, profit.
    >> Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)22:13 No.7181450
While making camorippers, use our synapse node to try and feel any other tyranid presence in the hive. There's supposed to be a genestealer cult up here somewhere...
    >> Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)22:13 No.7181451
Keep producing camorippers until we sense that either the maid regains consciousness or the acolytes arrive.
    >> Veteran Sergeant Zeph !7d0rZrDTyk 12/17/09(Thu)22:14 No.7181457
    Er, ceiling, not roof.
    >> Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)22:14 No.7181461

Not much missing in the first place.

Conflict: We have not broken in.
    Conflict: What biomass would steal the trophies instead of gold-filigree around everything and or designation: S i l v e r w a r e ?

Command: Remember mention of Hunter's name.

Confirmed. Make sure maid is capable of receiving guests, and assume position of Lictor trophy. Do not eat any other trophies that are not already consumed.

The maid is up and about, back at work - How do you propose to coax this information out of her?

Confirmed: Consume organic trophies. What do you do with the bulkier archeotech?

I've collected them from the bowels of /tg/, don't actually know where they're from.

    Confirmed: Hide on ceiling.

Confirmed at last: Genestealer cult is higher up in the hive, about seven miles away.

    >> Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)22:22 No.7181550
Let's not mess around too much with telepathy and other tricks. This is unnecessary, and finessing other intelligences is hardly our strong point.

One obscura mine in the vents, one in the trophy room with us, one in whatever room the acolytes are meeting in, and the last in the entrance hall.

    Two camorippers with us.

    One camoripper with the maid.

How did you get the idea that they'll meet in the trophy room? We have no evidence of that, so far as I know. We're only in there because we smelled it.

The acolytes are ushered in by the maid, and proceed single-file through the trophy room, to the study.

The first is Perkins, a known Slaaneshi cultist, wearing typical inquisitorial garb. He seems to be toting a plasma pistol.

The second is a female adept, too busy checking something on a dataslate to notice anything amiss.

The third is branded with the symbols of the Inquisition, as well as those of the Adeptus Mechanicus. Gender unknown given the level of cybernetics, but it possesses numerous mechandrites, some armed.

Confirmed kill order: Techpriest, Cultist, Adept, Maid.

Two rippers each pop out of the corners of the room, latching on to the adept and cultist, while the one shadowing the maid strikes at the back of her neck, killing her instantly.

The mine detonates under the chair by the fireplace, as the obscura in the air increases. Distracted by the sudden rippers and explosions, the adept and cultist fail to notice as you drop down, impaling the techpriest with a mantid claw. You can feel your claw being scorched, as it passes through the techpriest's power-center.

I don't really think that we need swallow whole. We can nom people perfectly well as things stand. We're not really using game statistics here anyway.

Besides, we have important tasks to undertake, and the clock is ticking. We need to talk to the genestealers, then set up three more power plants to shut down on command. Then, if we're exceptionally bold, we can sneak onto a spaceship leaving the planet to escape the imminent Tyranid attack, serving the swarm by preparing to call down a fleet onto their next port of call.

In a single movement, you remove the techpriest's head, lob the body at the adept (knocking her over), and the rippers swarm from all quarters upon the cultist, who shrieks in ecstasy as they begin to devour his flesh.

We have four days before fleet arrival. The daemon summoning can occur, at the earliest, in two days. The genestealer cult isn't going anywhere now that the Inquisitorial forces on-ground have been routed.

    Proposed Schedule:
Next four hours- hide and get Devour Whole for bigger single threats like a Grey Knight, BROODLORD/PATRIARCH or a DAEMON
After- Fully mentally interrogate adept. Turn her into accomplice if useful, if not, devour for the Great Devourer.
After- End day four, begin Day Three- Rally genestealer forces, spread hive node net of rippers throughout hive.
End of day Three- Destroy cult with genestealer forces utterly.
End of Day Three- Destroy all power plants, starting with nearest. Encite riots in others to destroy them by using slaught' and Frenzon Mines.
    Once Hive Fleet has arrived:

We aren't here solely to gather intel, we're here to sow terror and eliminate possible resistance to the incoming hive fleet.

The best way to do accomplish all that at once is to focus the authorities on fighting purging a Chaos cult trying to summon a Daemon. Not only does it distract them, it keeps the cultists from actually summoning the Daemon.

I hate to tell you this, but that entire list would lose to our PC doomlictor.

Move upward in the hive with stealth, pausing after a couple miles to make a nest of several synapse rippers capable of maintaining communication between the upper and lower hive.

Suggestion: Do not contact genestealers or patriarch directly. Watch/learn to see what plans they have, judge whether plans useful to us, judge whether patriarch would help us, or hinder us.
    >> Anonymous 12/18/09(Fri)00:05 No.7182589
This and see if we can have somehow have the rippers keep an eye on what the arbites and our acolyte decoy are up to.
    >> That Motherfucking Goblin !XGZ8nDwSYI 12/18/09(Fri)00:05 No.7182592

You could try, but they're likely to remain in their nest to avoid detection.

Confirmed: Large colony of synrippers inserted between levels of the hive to maintain the net.
    >> Anonymous 12/18/09(Fri)00:07 No.7182608
Excellent. Now... can we communicate with the genestealer cult without actually going up there and wasting a bunch of time in transit? If so, I'd like to get an idea of their numbers, capabilities, and plans.

We're all working for the same Great Devourer, why would we have to fight? Dude, Hive Fleet's comin'. Cool? Cool. Let's bounce on some mo'fuggin' hive workers. Word? Word. Word.
    >> Anonymous 12/18/09(Fri)00:10 No.7182642
It would stalk them until they weren't all combat-ready, preferably until they were encamped. Then it would breed up several dozen rippers, many of which could spew bio-plasma and others of which had camo. Sneak attack the greatest threats, and it's all over but the screaming.
    >> Anonymous 12/18/09(Fri)00:12 No.7182655

I think we're going to need the genestealers. We have three more plants to sabotage. Doing so one by one is too risky, and will alert the biomass that something is going on.

We need a coordinated attack on the remaining three, within the next few days. With any luck we can take down all the plants 1 day before the shadow arrives.
    >> Anonymous 12/18/09(Fri)00:12 No.7182661
Wouldn't it be awesome if we ended up dominating the genestealer cult and trying to control the splinter fleet, eventually conflicting with and attempting to dominate the fleet hivemind?

Only to find out at the end that an Inquisitor had genetically modified us in order to avert a new tyranid invasion and that we've been his puppet all along.

    I would shit bricks.
    >> Anonymous 12/18/09(Fri)00:13 No.7182673
Our current plans for "attack" consist of sneaking into each one in turn and planting loads of spore mines filled with slaught in the ventilation systems, so that a quick psychic trigger drives all the workers to bloodlust. Given our stealth abilities, that plan has a low probability of detection on our own, I think.
    >> That Motherfucking Goblin !XGZ8nDwSYI 12/18/09(Fri)00:15 No.7182691
What is your next course of action: Locate Genestealers, contact Genestealers, or... Actually, those are the only viable options I can think of.
    >> Anonymous 12/18/09(Fri)00:15 No.7182699

That would take days we don't have, and the synaptic web it would require to keep all the mines linked to us would be damn obvious to psykers on the planet and worse, to the Knights in space.
    >> Anonymous 12/18/09(Fri)00:16 No.7182704

assuming the biomass doesn't accidentally find our spore mines. When the time comes, I would prefer to send in some genestealers to make sure the job has been done.

    Confirmed: Contact genestealers.

You are able to pinpoint them as being approximately two miles directly up, in the mansion of one of the planet's ruling families.
    >> Anonymous 12/18/09(Fri)00:18 No.7182733
Contact them. We don't need to actually go up there unless they need our personal help in the upper hive for something; now that communications can be maintained we have plenty to do down here.

He may try to dominate us to assist in his own missions, leaving our goals uncompleted.
    >> Anonymous 12/18/09(Fri)00:21 No.7182775
We already have multiple syn-ripper broods around the city - if we're going to get found, it'll happen too late, I expect.

Either way, any method of dealing with the mines will de-activate the plant for a goo dlong time - in which time we can trigger the other 3 plants.
If all four are cleansed simultaneously - perfect, mass power outages that will probably lead to rioting mere hours before the Shadow hits.

Quietly warn the cultists about the GKs half an hour to an hour before they start storming the ritual. It won't give the cultists enough time to prepare a successful defense, but it should give them enough time to prepare a defense that at least kills two or three of the GKs before all the cultists are purged.

If we give the cultists too much advance warning, they might find some way to do it. Or at least to delay the GKs long enough for the summoning to complete.

We just want to make sure that they actually do more than lightly scuff the polish on the GKs' armor before they all get butchered.

If we can, send a recommendation back to the fleet itself as to the idea of developing some sort of astropathic relay we can use to allow the Imperial biomass to maintain communications for as long as possible, and thus prevent the Imperial biomass from noticing our approach until the first mycetic spores start raining down from orbit.
    >> Hive Node 12/18/09(Fri)00:42 No.7183038
What would be the point in that?
    >> Anonymous 12/18/09(Fri)00:47 No.7183100
No, I don't think so. The Shadow of the Warp is a fundamental feature of Tyranid fleets; it's not going to get turned off.

The more problem confronting us involve how to get both the Space Marines and all the cultists killed without revealing our presence. The best I've got so far is to just bypass all the cultists, rig the power plants for detonation, and keep an ear to the ground in order to determine the level of success that the Inquisition experiences, then try to move against the winning side if necessary.
