Harry shall be a paid underworld informant who we will not trust in the least. If his tips pan out, he gets a bonus, if they don't he gets a disloyalty-stab to the throat.

Hey Quest Lord, I just want to say even though the last thread was a bit of a disappointment and everyone is getting bitchy that this is still fun. I enjoy these quests and hope that the prior thread is not going to discourage more threads in the future.

Same. This quest IS fun, when it doesn't get bogged down. OP, be more forceful when situations like this arise. Make a decision, and move on.

Work them all super hard in the quarry, feed them meagerly, send out most of the hunters. Keep 2 of them as MANHUNTERS to keep an eye out for other intrusions into the forest.

Now that the tannery's done, next up is stables for our livestock over winter - really, just a cattle shed or whatever would do, it doesn't need to be an architectural masterpiece. How quickly can we throw up something like that?

Also, Sylem's plan to burn our village has me concerned. We have a well or similar water source, right? If so, make sure that the peasantry is aware of what to do in case of fire - bucket chains, that kind of thing.

If we can retroactively send Urist to pick up Wirt's ring (and pay for it, of course, perhaps with a bonus seeing as how both rings helped us avoid critical failure), I'm all for doing it. If we can't, then I suggest we send Urist after him anyways while he's out and about.

Alchemy is all and good, but I say we lay off of it for two months so we can get that Scroll translated. We're not making much progress anyways...

Basically, if we have 50 builders and two buildings which each require 100 builder-months, we can either split the builders and have both buildings complete after four months, or we can concentrate on one building at a time and have one building complete after two months, and the other one two months after that.

Better to have one complete building than two half-complete ones.

    Jump in place repeatedly.
Unless there is a water source above the fountain,
either up a hill, or in a tower, piped into the fountain,
no water will come out of the fountain.

Fountains were around long before pumps were, there are ways to make it work. Artesian wells, aqueducts, people dumping buckets into a resevoir. They're not all high tech, but not having a pump doesn't necessarily bar us from having a fountain.

I love being criticized by people who have no idea what they are saying.
Is the source of water (the river) *above* the fountain?
No. Because the town would flood.
So you want to devote peasant labor to carrying water buckets up a hill just so they can flow down into a fountain?

And the likelihood of a pressurized reservoir *above* the river? *sigh*

As in, do we learn alchemy recipes, or become more able to detect poison at certain Alchemy knowledge values, what?

Further, How does one learn about magic Alchemy? The more we can learn about alchemy in general, the better in my mind.
