    This is it /tg/

Your only chance to get the good+ ending! Are you prepared to do everything you can to save her? OF COURSE YOU ARE!

Without looking away from his daughter, he batted the stick aside like a toy.

The skeletal man raised his arms, creeping shadows spewing forth and entwining the blurry man who in turn opened his mouth wider than any human ought to, a horde of insects pouring forth, burrowing into his bones.

"Not the aberration you fool! The girl! His soul is..." He grunted with effort, trying to hold back the blurry man.

She is struggling to shut her jaw, otherworldly sounds rolling out of her mouth as the hellgate threatened to manifest itself. She struggled in her protector's arms, fighting the pain.

The blurry man quickly swatted the faceless man aside, turning his attention to the fleeing adventurous hiker. "ClllEEEeeeoooOoo... WhYy do yOuuu Runnnn frooOm daaAAAadDY?"

    >> Survival Quest 08/10/10(Tue)14:45 No.11610983

The pens do nothing to hinder his advance. The skeleton man calls after them. "Use the symbol to stall him! Don't le-" With a loud crack, the skull faced man's head exploded, thousands of bugs rushing to feast on his bones.

You dont even get halfway through the plant room when it feels like you've been struck between the eyes with a jet of water. The whole world seemed to slow down, and the color purple suddenly had a very attractive scent.

Cry out something incoherent about the bees; try and draw the symbol desperatly on the nearby wall; if we can't do that, keep running. We can't afford to stop.

You manage to scribble the symbol on the wall before you scramble toward the stairs. About halfway up, you trip as the stairs suddenly come alive, trying to gnaw off your leg.

The girl screams as she hits the stone steps, skinning her knee and elbow.

The rope seems to come alive, rushing through the air, tying and constricting the blurry man. He cried in rage and fury, swarms of insects crawling from the very walls to aid their master's escape.

The little girl was clawing at the steps, trying to climb them, tugging at your arm. Miraculously the evil stairway let your leg go and you found yourself to be undamaged. But now the hallucinations were beginning to grow worse...

The hallway seems slanted, slowing your progress. You turn around several times, catching yourself on the railing. Your weapon hums to life in your hand suddenly as the metal handrail tears away from you, becoming a massive, two-headed snake.

You can smell rather than see the lethal purple-tinted poison dripping from its hollow, needle-like fangs.

"EGO mosss voro vesssstri animusssss!" it hissed, lunging at you

Your want something to happen... You NEED something to happen! Your prayer and zeal seem to strengthen the rod, and, as if cracking open a dam of pure power, a huge bolt of energy firing from the tip, ahnihilating one of the snake's heads.

Unfortunately in your drugged state, this sends you reeling backwards.

Your prayer seems to have strengthened the girl's resolve as well. She runs from your grasp, the agile girl distracting the snake long enough for you to get to your feet.

The snake's eyes are now trained on the girl.

"Sssspurcus cur. Intereo mille nexxxx!" And lunged at her.

Good evening Eurochaps, good morning amerifags. I'm going tom leave you know.
    >> Survival Quest 08/10/10(Tue)15:44 No.11611660

The snake howled like a banshee, thrashing about as it was blinded on one side.

Though it only had one eye, its fury was more than enough to make it continue to press its attack. It slithered after the party, the blurry man finally ascending the stairs, grinning like the cheshire cat as he followed them, dragging his hand lightly across the wall, the entire hallway beginning to decay and melt.

You look around franticly. There really aren't many places to hide. You took a moment to think about your options. There was the girl's bedroom, the foyer, the bar, the hook face shadow room, the writing closet and the fireplace room. You needed an alternate escape option... Or a trap.

    >> Anonymous 08/10/10(Tue)16:13 No.11611977
I don't think hiding will do us much good. We need to set a trap of some sort.

We should draw a big-ass version of that symbol on the floor somewhere.

so set a trap for the father, to give the girl time to think.

so how can we trap him?

You rush to the room with the hooks and face. Pulling out an oil crayon and giving the girl another, you began drawing all over the walls and floor, quietly turning the entire room into one huge binding circle. You then move into the writing closet and wait, doing your best not to disturb the shadows.

The commotion outside is loud. Much louder than you ever would have expected. You wait for the blurry man and the snake to enter, the latter coiling and howling madly. Once they are both within the binding circle you poke your arm out and close it, trapping them inside with the lethal shadows, the numerous smaller ones scattered about reinforcing the big one.

You can wait for the shadow to kill them, or you can flee now before the shadow is too aggravated and the snake and demon are trapped in the center of the room.

You try to stop the girl to take a strand of her hair, but instead she pulls you aside, pointing to her mouth and a broken grandfather clock.

How hard did it feel? More like a bricked up entrance; or more like a wall we could break down or what?
Because if we can break it down...there might have been a door here once, and that means there was some reason to brick it up.
If not; run for the little girls room, we can scrawl some symbols on the walls and get a few minutes of sanctuary there.

You channel your force of will into the poker, forcing it to power up. "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!" you shout at the wall, smashing it in. It explodes in a shower of wooden splinters, revealing a courtyard and a hedge maze.

Before the hedge maze, standing around the courtyard fountain, there are three stone angel statues, their hands covering their eyes as if weeping. They are facing the fountain.

You make it past the angel and to the next turn in the maze. The girl has no trouble keeping it in her view, her eyelids having rotted off some time ago. She should be able to keep you safe from any angels behind you. It's your own eyes and the blurry man you have to worry about.

You notice an unusually large number of bugs crawling through the hedge to your right.

    >> Survival Quest 08/11/10(Wed)03:23 No.11621110

You come to a room that is ablaze with light. The blurryman is standing in the center of the room, his entire body blazing. Your stake flares up in response, the shadows in the room darkening to near black.

Behind him is a large set of double doors.

You feel the room grow steadily colder.
    >> Anonymous 08/11/10(Wed)03:27 No.11621142
    So they're here.

Throw our poker with all our might at the blurry man as we charge him. Then continue our charge past him, to the doors. Slip inside and shut it firmly behind us.

Poker, you have served us well, and now your final mission awaits you.
    >> Anonymous 08/11/10(Wed)03:43 No.11621293
This. Then when we're gone, our blurry foe will get eaten by the shadows.
    >> Survival Quest 08/11/10(Wed)03:45 No.11621310
The blurryman raises his arms defensively, his bugs swarming around him as the poker streaks toward him, attempting to shield himself.

It works a little better than you might have hoped. The poker unleashes a bright explosion of light as it makes contact, but in the aftermath, he remains. Seemingly blinded and with slowly regenerating stumps for arms, but he is still standing there.

The little girl tugs sharply on your arm as you begin rushing past him. She is insistent. Desperate.
    >> Anonymous 08/11/10(Wed)03:50 No.11621352
Scoop her up and carry her as we go to the doors. "Point what you need us to do and quick, otherwise we're headed through that door before everything in this room gets eaten!"
    >> Survival Quest 08/11/10(Wed)03:57 No.11621388

She squirms in your arms, leaning forward and pointing franticly and a rather large shadow slowly slinking across the floor in front of the door.

The blurry man's form continued to flicker in and out of existence, though he began to regain focus, his body sharpening.

The poker had rolled away from him, blazing brightly, half obscured under a table.
    >> Anonymous 08/11/10(Wed)04:02 No.11621418
Shout a word not suitable for younger ears, then dive for the poker again.
    >> Anonymous 08/11/10(Wed)04:06 No.11621434
Aw shit. Okay, to beat a swarm... to beat a swarm...

I don't think we can go back. I only see two options here.

    1) Grab the blurry man, throw him into the shadow before he recovers and let him be eaten; either go through the doors during then or retreat back the way we came.

    2) Have the girl keep running for the door, while we grab the poker and the table. Flip and fling the table across the floor towards the door, and SURF IT until we ram into the door, swinging the poker at the shadows as we go. The girl, obviously, jumps aboard. Then we scoot inside and shut the door behind.

I'm up for other options but that's all I'm seeing now. Anyone else want to weigh in?
    >> Anonymous 08/11/10(Wed)04:10 No.11621459
    2 seems retarded. Number 1.
    >> Player 1 08/11/10(Wed)04:18 No.11621499
I dash after the poker, pick it up and take a swing at the BMan's legs, in hopes of taking them from under him, then I swing the poker down hard into his chest with al my weight behind it.

    Back, BTW

Whoa there, sparky. The shadows are a bit more important, if you watched the video. "Like invisible piranhas" it said. They're ready to pounce, unlike our blurry buddy.
    >> Player 1 08/11/10(Wed)04:25 No.11621538
okay, I stick with my original plan, and toss the remnants of the blury man at the shadows, I atempt to lift the table and throw it at the door.

    >> Survival Quest 08/11/10(Wed)04:44 No.11621640
You shove the blurryman as hard as you can, and manage to knock him into the shadow in front of the door.

It's hard to make out what's going on through the blackness of the vashta nerada combined with his own dark, blurred appearance, but you hear otherworldly screams. The buzzing of insects grows louder, but slowly dies down again before once again increasing in volume, pulsing along with his flailing in the shadows.

The table is too large and heavy for you to lift well enough to throw it. The poker glows from beneath it.
    >> Survival Quest 08/11/10(Wed)04:47 No.11621670

The blurry man doesn't seem to be hurt, as he doesn't truly have a physical form, but he is unable to escape from the swarming creatures.

The stake flared and burned excitedly, pulsing fiercely as his otherworldly screams echoed through the room.
    >> Player 1 08/11/10(Wed)04:48 No.11621674
Is the door clear? Or are the shadows/insects to close to it? I look at the girl questioningly. " through the door? Back?"

I take the poker, and gently pushing the girl I back away into the Foyer, keeping an eye on the bottles and the maggoty dooe
    >> Survival Quest 08/11/10(Wed)05:13 No.11621820
The poker blazes brightly as you begin to retreat, a white flame burning at the tip.

You bump into the little girl, who has stopped moving back. She points at the floor in front of the doorway.

The door behind you is blocked by shadows. Those shadows weren't there when you came in...

In front of the door forward, the blurryman's hand emerges from the shadow, beginning to drag himself forward as his bugs crawl into the holes eaten by the vashta nerada, filling them in cleanly as he consumes them to heal himself.

He and the shadow he is crawling out of are all that lie between you and the exit.
    >> Player 1 08/11/10(Wed)05:21 No.11621869
Any other exits? I attempt to strike the hand off at the wrist, then topple the table on top off him, pick up the girl, and try to leap through the door.
    >> Survival Quest 08/11/10(Wed)05:34 No.11621956
    There are no other exits.

The stab from the poker discharges a huge bolt of power, completely obliterating the appendage and tearing a chilling wail from his lips. Slowly, the bugs swarm the wound, attempting to reconstruct him with only slow sucess.

The table is swallowed up by the shadows. You now have half a table.
    >> Anonymous 08/11/10(Wed)05:37 No.11621978
Do the doors open away from us, or towards us?
    >> Player 1 08/11/10(Wed)05:41 No.11622013
I take one of the table legs and stow it in my backpack... No other exits? hm... I try to circle around the creature and exit through the door, using the table leg to measure where I can pass through the shadows. I pu the poker in my belt and drag the girl behind me.
    >> Survival Quest 08/11/10(Wed)05:50 No.11622064

You are unable to get around him. he is right in front of the door.

he crawls more out of the shadows now, chuckling a little, wrestling to get his other arm free, staring at the girl.

The shadows around you creep closer and closer, the air turning to ice against your skin.

    >> Survival Quest 08/11/10(Wed)06:02 No.11622140

You thrust the stake into his body and it stays. He lets out a soul wrenching shreak as his entire body immolates, the flames pushing the darkness back, the shadows in the immedeate area burning.

The energy continued to build until the blurry man exploded, the shock knocking both you and the girl off your feet. It also pushed all the shadow's back some, but they were still there, closing in.

The exit is clear now, the sky starting to lighten as dawn approached.

The stake clatters to the ground on the scorch mark that used to be the blury man, the fleur de lys glittering in satisfaction.

    You got... THE GOOD+ ENDING!!!!

You deserve it /tg/ Anyone willing to fight Weeping Angels and is not the doctor/emprah deserves a fucking medal.

You grab Cleo and rush to the exit, reaching down and snatching up the Witch Stake as you burst from the building. You and the girl continue to sprint for a time as dawn breaks, the sun rising up over the forsaken landscape.

You are almost upon the trail you had been hiking before when the girl pulls, slowing you to a stop. She is coughing hard, doubled over her hands on her knees. There is black smoke pouring from her mouth and yet the cries of the damned fade with each passing moment, the thread dissolving.

She looks up at you, the flesh of her face slowly creeping back over her exposed bone.

"Th... Thank... you..." She paused for a moment before leaping toward you, squeezing you tight and crying.

She told you how she never thought she'd ever get out of the painting. How she had to watch her friends grow and vanish. how she had lost hope for the hundred years she had been locked up, and how she never thought she would see the sun again

You return her embrace and when it finally ended, you gently took her little hand in your own and walk and to finish your hike.

You promised you would protect her and you kept it, taking care of her and teaching her about the world as she grew. Sometimes though you'd feel a pair of eyes at your back... but you never feared them. You promised you would protect Cleo. You and your trusty poker, Jab.

Also, the back button failed meh and the picture of cleo and this post also ended up in a new thread so I'll link that.
