    Your team needs to find the command center of the base and deactivate the Synomium device, because its AI got damaged and it treats you as hostile intruders and locked down the whole base. After fighting through a group of frenzied Tasoths you got up to the upper floor. There you have been ambushed by not one but two Bio-drones from the southern room, you decided to use up all your grenades to get rid of them blowing up both. Then you managed to find 2 more grenades. Your team successfully repaired restarted the ventilation of the base, this caught the attention of a Tentaculat, the dreaded self replicating nightmare that caused a dangerous firefight with you barely holding at bay even outnumbering it 3 against 1, it caught 68 but did not manage to zombify it then at long last 08 once again proved himself to be a veteran of many skills for finally taking done the monstrosity in a single shot. After that you managed to revive 68 and squad is full again.

    Both 32 and yourself miss the shambling enemies, luckily they are moving pretty slowly and clumsily, now that you look at them closer you notice that they must have been either Tasoths or Gillmen until the Tenteculat you have killed turned them into zombies.

    Since you are the main character of the quest technically you are always in command to some degree you can tell everyone what to do just not always order them to do unreasonable stuff like suiciding they might disagree.     Now fully prepared to the hardships ahead everyone opens fire on the zombie out of which 3 hits (the zombies are really slow and clumsy so you can hit it just by rolling 10 even). It falls back and collapses dead. But the corpse does not stop moving soon it rips apart and you can see a brand new Tentaculat slowly emerge from it. This one having just emerged is not yet aware of its surroundings so this is the best time to shoot it before it wrecks havoc.

    Roll for everyone, everyone gets a +2 bonus this time because the Tentaculat just emerged.

    I think you can just type ath +2 after the roll into the E-mail field and it will show it. But you know what never mind that I will that myself it is easier that way.

    08’s shot missed its mark but your speed and accuracy catches the Tentaculat off guard as you hit its brain directly putting a large hole straight into it and killing it outright. It collapses with a loud splash as grey matter and yellowish liquids pour out of the dreaded creature it spasms for a few seconds but then moves no more. You are victorious once again!

    Crap posted a wrong picture last time I deleted the last post.

    You proceed into the next room, while moving past the monstrosities 68 stomps the corpse of the one you shot down with satisfaction. 32 also puts an extra shot into the corpse of the 2 nd Tentacuulat claiming that it never hurts to be sure. With that he also reloads his Sonic Cannon with ammo.

    After examining the second room 08 tells you that this is the main energy generator of the base and since the ventilation is active now it should have cleared the sand and debris out now, if you can activate this then power should be restored to the base. He removes a panel on the lower end of the engine and examines the condition of the Ion generator. He finds it satisfactory even for being really old, probably centuries old. He starts to fiddle with the wires and things to start it up.

    While you were at this 68 checked the door on your south and found that it is also locked down.

    32 and 68 managed to get local interface key from under the rubble, it contains password and security overrides. 08 t says that this will be useful when you get into the Synomium device room, unless the codes have been changed but that is not likely.

    No luck, the generator is busted, you have no other choice but to drill through the door to reach the next room and also the lights will not be going on. 68 and 32 start to work immediately while you two put everything back together at the generator. After a some minutes of drilling the door yields and you peel it open.

    Before you lies your ultimate destination. The main hall of the Synomium device the elevator is on the middle of the room that takes you two floors up into the center of the site.

    08 puts his weapons away then steps into the room while 32 and 68 cover him and seemingly goes inactive as he tries to determine any movement in the room. He himself does not move at all, after about a minute he comes to and says that he found nothing he thinks that the room is free from any enemies.

    The elevator takes you up to the chamber of the Synomium device as you arrive you see the central core of the device this is the heart and soul of the base. It is or rather was linked to all creature that you encountered in here, it holds valuable data from ages past and it should be connected into the worldwide M.C network that your masters created ages past now the network is mostly inactive must be connected again. With each new colony you build and each site you activate your masters get one step closer to total dominance over the planet once again.

    Now the problem is that the Synomium device is damaged and treated you and everyone else as hostiles which means it has to be deactivated so that later it can be used again after repairs, however deactivating it is not a simple procedure of flicking a button.

    Finally at the destination 08 goes to the device and starts to examine things while you and 68 clear the room you find the room devoid of any life or any enemies. 32 guards the elevator but nothing is coming to disturb your work.

    After a little time 08 has some news, he says that right now the only way to sever the device from its power source is to do it while connected to it and through the M.C network. However in order to do that all four of you must connect directly into one of the 4 interface control chamber you see here in the room and give the commands together.

    08 tells each of you where to connect your own interfaces after you are sitting inside and he himself sits in as well. When all 3 of your are connected he starts up the system. You feel a momentary sharp pain but it disappears immediately, similarly when you get your mission s done. You are only seeing the programs of the computer but this time it is different you can see your squad sitting where they were but this looks as if you are in a completely different universe, space seems to be endless into dark nothingness, there is no concept of up or down it looks the same to all directions. Blue and yellow lights flicker in the distance they flash up and die out repeatedly. You really have no idea what is all this and what is happening right now until a virtual mini interface opens up for all four of you.

    “Lobsterman ID Zhl-0882 calling colony 7, Mission objectives almost completed. Requesting assistance for full system override.”
    He repeats the call and soon you see one of the flickering light come closer and closer, I n just about half a minute arrives to you, you see it now that is not just light but a combination of orbs that are moving in a set pattern of order around each other. Although you still have no idea what is this.
    “Request noted! Prepare for synced connection!”
    Then the a bright beam of blue and green light blasts all 4 of you in the head, you feel strange as a large amount of data is downloaded into your mind giving you instructions on breaking the Synomium device’s security barriers, you immediately start to tinker with the interface as if by instinct you simple know what you must do and you do it like this was something you would have done every day in your life like a well programmed machine. In fact all four of you do the same thing at the same time with clockwork precision. You can see in the interface as the Synomium device gets disconnected from everywhere the light loosing its connections to the other lights around it. You were about to finish but then the device turns crimson blood red and two red bolts of lightning for out of it. One strikes 68 and one strikes you.

    Then a barrier starts to form around the Synomium device’s virtual core light blocking the red lightning. You feel alright you are not hurt or anything you were just surprised by the lightning. However on your interface see a big red “ERROR” text flash up for a moment, looking back you see that the barrier forms on all sides of the device and soon it completely seals it into a globe out of which it cannot come out.

    All four of you finish the process with you and 68 a bit late because of the distraction.
    “System override complete!” – you hear from the light that guided you until now and told you how to do what you did, how to seal off the Synomium core from its surroundings.
    Again a bright green light blasts all four of you on the head removing all the data and programming that you received for this operation, but the one that came to you somehow took a bit longer to finish.

    Entering the Implantation hall there are several seats at the learning arrays some taken by other creatures already connected and working.     To gain advanced implants first you will have to buy an Advanced Cyber Sync and then buy the basic implants, then the advanced ones will directly replace the basic ones no free slot is needed. If you do not have the basic you can pay the cost for both and get the advanced immediately. Removing implants is free but once one is removed it is lost forever you get no refund.

    M.C. Emitter implant – You require this to access M.C. abilities, without it M.C. is not possible. It has a set amount of energy which can be used to M.C. abilities On Adv level it can store the next level of M.C programs and gets a large energy reserve.

    Targeting computer – Increases your chance to hit with shooting from long range, at Adv. Level it also provides a long distance zooming function you can use it to look far into the distance as if you were using a spy-glass, also no penalty for long range shooting. In close quarters combat it does not help much.

    With this mission completed so ends the first chapter of Lobsterman Quest, the 2 nd chapter is in the works but I will have to spend a great deal of time to get it to shape. Do not expect it to be done by tomorrow, at earliest it will be the next few days but don t expect it too early. I need to put down all 3 missions and then let you choose the order again, I got the basic conpept for all 3 but I need to draw the maps and prepare things.

    Oh Also time to tell you what that D3 roll was during the ending, it was to determine how much implant damage you get if you rolled 1 then 2 of your implants would get destroyed, if 2 then a single implant but you rolled 3 so no penalty.
