Cost table, I remembered it this time!

A new world has arise and alongside it so have new gods.

Ocean covers so much of this world and so it is perhaps fitting that the god of it should arise first. From his massive dwelling he looks upon the blank slate that is the world.

He scoffs. Let the other gods worry about the land. His domain was the sea, as it will always be.

But the sea, vibrant as it was with fish and other sea life, was empty for the god. And so he created an avatar.

Wend tore from his own flesh and plunged it in the deepest part of his oceans. And there, under the great pressure, the Leviathan was formed. A massive being, dwarfing mountains, it would dwell in the ocean. From the dawn of the world and to it's end.

Wend whispered to his creature; "You were here before there was anything else. Remember this, this is your world. Your sea."

Gyzer, annoyed with all the emerging plant life, sets about carving his own mark into this new world. He chooses an island and then salts the soil from coast to coast, ensuring no forests can take hold in his domain.

So he decides to make the land something he can appreciate: Solid coral rising from the sea, the beauty of the sea now on land.

He protects his land somewhat with great storms, so he may appreciate it with peace.

Gyzer can hardly contain himself as watches the petulant siblings give birth to the first non-divine intelligence of this world. Every being is an opportunity for an ally in the pursuit of all things evil, and Gyzer sets to work immediately.

He infects the dreams of the Layun, bringing them the most terrifying nightmares he can fathom, exploiting their intelligence and imagination to create manifestations of fear beyond reason. Many of the new beings prove frustratingly strong willed, and manage to all but ignore the visions that come to them in their sleep, but others have their wills broken, and their minds are warped beyond the capacity for rational thought.

The Laylun that fail to endure Gyzers psychological torture follow the voice that haunts their nightmares into the woods beyond the borders of Disclana, and there they cease to be Layun at all.

They are the Gyzerians.

With intelligence comes desire, with desire comes greed, with greed comes the powerful lord Divad. He offered the Laylun people his protection if they swore to repay him, and they agreed. He raised mighty mountains to ward off the sea and decreed that all that lies south of them is for the Laylun and himself.

Using what remained of his power, Divad began work on his own domain by creating an endless lightning storm in the far south.

The Laylun are an amphibious race with smooth skin which is healthiest when kept moist and can be virtually any color. Their octopoid eyes can see much better then the average human could, and are often studying their environment. They have slim agile bodies with membrane wings that are normally folded out of site, and webbed fingers and toes. They can breathe both air and water (all types) but prefer brackish water like their native mangrove swamps. They can swim vast distances, and are adept at catching fish and finding mollusks in the oceans. They can survive a few weeks without water, and if given enough to drink, do not even need to soak, although this is uncomfortable for them. Their culture values beauty and nature, and due to owing half their being to a fertility god, can interbreed with just about anything with intelligence.

The god Wend contemplated in his great oceans when he noticed something.

While he knew the world was not empty as it once was, although much of it was blank, he noticed something very unusual for a world. A race! And so early!

He observed them, and then they noticed something. They could dwell in his domain. The sibling gods have brought into being a race that could naturally trespass on his domain.

Wend flew into a rage in his ocean, tides grew and clashed on the shore. His rage grew so much that he lost a hair.

From that hair sprung life. It was Sildas, the Great Serpent and it swam with great fury in it's heart. It had a natural blood-lust to any sentient that trespassed in it's masters domain.

Wend however soon calmed from his fury. Perhaps this race could be useful... or perhaps they could be fun...

These other gods are so concerned with their avatars that none are bothering to sculpt the land! I must spread natural beauty outward, with all of my will, I shall spread beauty far and wide. If you can go below, then you can also go above. Such is the reasonning of Layana, as rocks start floating around, held by helium filled plants of her creation. With seasonal growth cycles these raise and fall continuously, dancing in the sky, with their flying inhabitants happy to be nearer of the sky above.

Gyzer continues to haunt the nightmares of his Gyzerians, and with time, manages to push a select few well beyond the brink of insanity, so that they might also hear his voice while they are awake.

Despite being mouth-breathing, drooling, bona fide lunatics, these crazies are revered among the Gyzerians as mystics, capable of speaking with their God. The general populace refer to these chosen few "Those that Listen."

Those that Listen are never outside of Gyzers influence, they see his silhouette in every shadow, hear his voice in every echo, and feel his hot, wet breath on the back of their necks with every gust of wind.

Gyzer whispers in the ears of Those than Listen, he tells them of his grand plan for the Gyzerians, he promises them that if they follow his orders carefully they will attain riches and power beyond anything they could imagine. He orders them to relay all his commands to the Gyzerian tribes, and that soon they will help set his plan in motion. Gyzer demands obedience, and patience... and he will get it.

Tolb makes his entrance onto the world by shaping the western island's northern wasteland into a desert near the mountains to provide some landscape for his future people to roam without the horrible intrusion of green in his beautiful domain of gold.

Wend looks down upon his creations the sea serpent and the leviathan and is pleased. they make the sea fearsome, respected. But he feels something is missing, that another brother is needed to reaffirm this fear.

He grasps a tentacle from his head his head and smashes it upon the newly coastal forests. And from it, springs forth the Kraken.

Fearsome and watching of his master's territory, Wend is pleased.

Gyzer orders the Gyzerian tribes to take up arms and prepare for war, he does not see fit to inform his followers who they will be fighting, and as true followers of Gyzer, they do not care anyway.

As his minions work throughout the night, Gyzer too remains busy, entering the nightmares of the Laylun of Disclana he could not sway, and this time uses a more subtle approach... All night, Gyzer whispers evil in the ears of the Laylun, just loud enough for them to hear, but not loud enough for them to know they are hearing it. If he can't turn all the Laylun into Gyzerians, he'll just have to help bring them around to their way of thinking. (-1 alignment to Disclana)

Wend observes his grandchildren, creations of his two sibling children, the gods born when in the time before time the god Wend made love to the unshaped land.

The Layluns were a race to whom sea fare came easy. They showed no fear of it, they showed no respect.

This angered the great god Wend. In their dreams he showed some visions of his mighty avatars, of his might and the might of his domain. He fed them this information, and saw the error of their ways. The Sect of Wend formed.

The Sect of Wend commanded the rest of their race through much influence to respect the sea. the sea was to be respected and feared, these values enshrined in law. When crossing it, sacrifices must be made. Reverence must come when speaking of it.

Soon the great Wend was pleased with his grandchildren, and he rested.

Jautis leads his Jaut people very well, showing them the secrets of the Unknown. He has taught them so well, they have started sacrificing their food (giant blind salamanders, because they live in caves and all) to the god Wend as a sign of respect. They ask for nothing in return, for they worship Usiku.

It is also said that the Giant Digging Worm now rests under the Jauts home lands.

Jautis commands the Jauts to make a city in the Worms honor.

Fearing the worst, the worm speaks to Jautis, telling him to raise an army.

I have not spent nearly enough time crafting natural beauty! I shall beautify the lands near the first city my children inhabit. This will be my covenant to them, that they are not forgotten, no matter what happens in the times to come. I shall also plant another forest, near my newest city, to show them that they are also beloved of me, and gift it with the floating islands so beloved by thier fore bearers.

Gyzer watches, mouth agape, his malevolent and entirely figurative head cocked to one side as Wend dares to interfere with the world of dreams.

"You know what" Gyzer begins cheerfully through a smirk "I've really neglected this world. In fact, the only real attention I've paid it is to ensure some places are just plain unfit for life... It just hardly seems fair I should leave all that work to the rest of you, so how about I pitch in?"

With that, Gyzer errupts with his trademark manical laughter, and sets out to freeze the ocean itself. In one fell swoop, he creates a prison of ice for the oldest creature in the world.

With the approach of a new age, Divad creates an environment fitting his future "followers". He fills the skies with lightning and prepares for the upcoming conflicts.

Tolb' crafts his own being to command for the future. His beast will be known as Tarash, the Magma Serpent. Tarash rose from the fires of the largest volcano in the world and it is the only being durable enough to survive the harsh climates of them. In order for Tolb' to keep an eye on the dreadful forests, he crafts more Volcanoes in order for his serpent to ride the underground magma currents and appear in the middle of the world if need be.

Chekhov became angered by seeing ice touch his beautiful Jungle. He proceeded to sink the ice back into the ocean.

Chekhov then proceeded to cut off one of his big toes, and send it down to the world to become his Avatar. Bolezny, the Unclean One.

A new age beckons upon the horizon of the world, and with it, new powers awaken in the gulfs of heaven. Heaving from nothingness, Val the True Arrow opens his bronze-flame eyes to the world, and sees much that is wrong about it. He sees the Gyzerians massing in the shadow of their old lands. He sees a race torn in two by the will of his follow gods. He sees war looming.

He sees that soon, it will be his age. For now, though, he simply waits, gathering his strength for the deeds the world needs.

Wend, the great sea god, oldest of gods, he who set the first creation upon the world feels change in the tides of his domain. Change is coming. The age of land is ended, the blank and forgotten spots of the world filled by it's natural forces.

Now is an age of races, like his son's creations and all those who send sacrifice to him such as the wise Jaut.

To signify this, he creates a Herald. Another reminded to the mortal races of the power of the sea and the respect it deserved.

But the God Wend grew tired, and wished for slumber. But he would not leave his seas unattended.

To each of his avatars, he gave orders. they were simple.
I) Move cunningly, so gods like the god of insanity not may trap you like he once did.
2) Do not attack those who show respect for the sea and it's god.
3) Show those who show no respect the error of their ways.

With this the god Wend sunk below, and slumbered to awake when he was rested.
