As you move towards there, Crobat comes flying back, and Archie holds up a hand. "Ah, Crobat. Report." The Crobat does, stating that the Mt. Chimney garrison has been quite depleted, with only a few troops left; more are being moved inside from Fallarbor Town at this moment, though.
Archie then turns to you. "There's no need for you to travel through the desert. If you're so concerned about Snover's health, Crobat will fly her above the Fiery Path."

Only two or three people are interested in it, and I'm not even sure how they seem to figure when it's happening.

At this point, it would work better on IRC. That way, you can have your two or three people playing it without taking up space on /tg/.

Eventually, you reach an area where a constant, soft rain of ash falls on you, and the ambient heat is rather higher. In the distance, you think you can see the outlines of the town, although there's not much to it; most of it seems to consist of large tents. A few of the now-familiar burned-out shells of buildings still stand, though, and several Magmas stand by, a few talking to each other, most just looking around.

"We have twelve guards standing out in the streets here; I don't know how many are in the tents, but all of the ones I had to hide in were empty."

Snover walks forward a bit and directs a Grasswhistle at the clump of the three nearest false Magmas, who immediately fall.

Your attack is the first, and you chomp down on the Poochyena while Archie's Sharpedo flies forth in a Waterfall to whack the Zubat. The Zubat goes down rather quickly; the Poochyena survives, but a Thundershock from Magnemite takes him down. Four more guards have seen what's happening, though, and are approaching.
