In all things a man of stone can be patient, but when faced with imminent destruction you call forth all your speed.
Feeling the quickly softening stone around you, you search for the most solid spot to land your blow and bring down the cavern. As you race towards it, your feet begin to sag in the melting floor, and start cracking in the heat.
The stonefire beast moves as if to block your path, but is knocked aside as a mighty stone is hurled into its flank. Your ore-brothers stand upon the molten lake's shore, with a pile of stones brave enough to be hurled at the beast.
Though this assault is little more than a distraction to the mighty stonefire beast, it buys you the time you need. Through the lancing pain of the molten floor, you pull yourself to the solid wall on the back, and land a mighty blow upon it with your glorious, if somewhat cracked, fist.
The mine screams out as it fractures, and you scream out in turn as your glorious fist does the same. The cavern ceiling comes crashing down around you and the stonefire beast, and your mind is knocked about.
(Aaaaaaaand that's where we're gonna stop tonight. Again, sorry for going AWOL, and thanks Rabble for keeping it going in my absence. We'll pick up again either on the weekend or Monday night. See you next time, my stone brothers.) |
