"I THINK I UNDERESTIMATED YOU." Once more skeletal, the Morr's Reaper you have come to know as Russ walks in, his 'human' body under your foot still. "FIRST PERSON TO DO THAT TO MY FACE. LAST PERSON TO CUT MY HEAD OFF CAUGHT ME FROM BEHIND AS I FOUGHT HIS BROHTER. MY FIRST CHALLENGE THAT ONE, AFTER MY 'SURVIVAL' THEY JOINED MY HORDE. BUT THAT IS THE PAST NOW. YOU'RE ALIVE AGAIN, MORTAL." You see he's right, your nose has fixed itself somehow, and whatever it was that was 'off' about the world has righted itself. "ARE YOU STILL WANTING TO ATTEMPT THE OTHER CHALLENGES?"

I believe these next challenges are just for personal glory and for Russ' future assistance. Let's do it. Trial of Heroism.

Man. In the end, Death couldn't hold down Lord Green.

    We're already dead.

We've done one, so now we get to go back to life, and have to serve as a reaper for ten years after we die.

Next challange we best gets us spider sense, third gets us Russ to summon during a fight.

I vote we go or at least another Challange, pref Heart (because it seems like the least likely to kill us). We can win a magical boon here, and we've still got two re-rolls and an auto crit as a safety net.

He basically does tournies and stuff for his living, doesn't have much in the way of lands, etc, but your family has a history of tourney champions, and investing in merchants some, etc. Merchants less so now, your brother is more usually at tournaments then haggling, and he's more at home there too.

General consensus seems to be Russ the Immortal, our brother the greatest swordsman we know, Cohen the badass monster killer, and the last one is up for grabs.

Most common seems to be either Aegon so he can write a ballad of our exploits or Doobs since he's totally awesome.

Oh, and so you know, the one would have been kind of bad. Not game ending, but bad news for this trial.

The beast leaps out, it's face like a cat, but it's larger then Stark. Small horns protrude from it's face in a ring around it's face as it snaps at you. You take the alchemy pouch you have in your hand and break it over the beasts flank, trusting your gloves to keep the corrosive powder off of your skin. It leaps off of you and swipes at Aegon, who nimbly jumps back from the animal's assault.

You dash for the alchemical pouches, grabbing a few, and calling for the others to grab them. Aegon and Tom keep the beast back with spears, thrusting at, keeping it at bay momentarily as it avoids the points, taking the spears on its hunches and flanks where it won't hurt it. Cohen is moving in to support them at the front line, and Doobs is with you at the pouches, grabbing one in each hand his spear dropped for the moment.

You throw your pouches at the beast, missing its face, but managing to get it on it's sides, and it reacts by turning and starting to flee. However Cohen will have none of that, and with a powerful overhead swing sinks his sword into the creatures back, almost bisecting the beast. It drops to the ground, suddenly lifeless, as it's dark blood pours out over the golden grass. . .

    Yep. Bonus Lore: Death.

Morr, the greater god of death isn't seen as a good or evil being, merely a lawful one. He is a judge, who weighs the evidence of a life and assigns the soul to the appropriate afterlife. Often it will be merely assigning the soul to the appropriate god, who then treats it as the god wills. In other cases Morr reserves special judgement. A notoriously fickle worshipper might find them self assigned to no god, merely running between them as a messenger. A farmer who didn't pray to any one god will likely find himself in the fields of Elay, god of farmers, but his friend who worshipped Nar, god of rivers, would find himself (un)living in the River After Life.

    Oh, no.

Andorder Green was the second (legitimate) son of Lance Green, and was raised as a fighter preparing to join the military for his living as was customary for second sons. When he did join, he soon met a young Leold when Leold saved his life in their first action. As Andorder rose through the ranks, his first sergeant became part of his personal staff. When Andorder retired early, and bought himself a small parcel of land he heard was called Teajy.
