You currently worship two gods, Bloodshell, crab-god of violence and bloodshed, and The Wavemaker, crab-god of harmony and peace amongst crustaceans.

You ready your subjects, dressing them in shelled armor reinforced with bits of IRON. Your forty-seven Coven members follow closely behind you.

You head south, and after an hour of scuttling, you come upon a large valley. From here you can see several caves. All of which would be perfect for the cowardly squid to hide in. There are four caves here, three on the left side of the valley and one on the right. Various rocks and clumps of seaweed create interesting terrain, and you can see massive whale-bones in the sand.

You send out some pistol shrimp to scout the caves. You watch from the ridge as they cautiously enter, slipping in unnoticed.

Suddenly, a cry erupts from one of the caves on the left, and you see your shrimp scuttle frantically away, firing over their shoulders. Three squid, their twenty foot long red bodies shimmering, swim out of the cave. You see two others exit from another cave on the left, and one more come from the cave on the right.

Two of your shrimp are scooped up and devoured, the rest are taking cover in the seaweed and rocks.

Use our enhanced intellect to explain why an alliance would be beneficial to both of us. Wiping out the pesky humans and living in HARMONY OH LOVE with sea creatures that aren't squids or sharks.

You cast GLORY, making yourself even more persuasive. The old whale is impressed, needless to say. He says he may lend you assistance when needed, but will not completely submit to your whims. He comes from a proud and powerful race, so this seems the best offer you can hope for at the moment.

He says there are multiple habitats for squid in the area, including the fabled location of the original Kraken, forefather to the one you slew in your infantile stage.

Send some shrimp scouts out to the squid habitats and ask the whales if they would be willing to transport your troops when the time to assault the squid strongholds comes.
    >> Anonymous 05/05/10(Wed)22:35 No.9639209
Also offer the medical expertise of your isopods and order your men to line up for inspection, at the same time sending a subtle message of your strength to the whales.
    >> Crabmaster !vuOBu6g15U 05/05/10(Wed)22:37 No.9639246
You send out some shrimp teams to scout out the enemy. The whales say they would gladly help bring about the destruction of their hated enemies the squid.

Two hours later, your shrimp report finding a large shelf, the ocean-floor stretching far away, out of sight. Several squid habitats were spotted along the way, as well.

You head out for the nearest squid habitat. Three whales and the chieftain join you. A cluster of caves show where the squid make their homes. Two sentries swim lazily in circles. These squid are large, easily your size.

They are trained sharpshooters, but their attacks may be less than effective. They serve for suppression and distraction while you and the fighters go in for the kill.

    dice+XdX in the email field.

example: dice+2d12 to roll two, twelve-sided dice.

add +X to add modifiers, such as a +2 or +3

example: dice+3d6+2 to roll three six-sided dice plus two.

You order your troops to hold, and fire a volley into the two sentries. They are grievously wounded, one dies outright. Your warriors charge, along with the whales, as more enormous squid pour out of the caves. There are at least twelve squid here. The whales tear into four of them, engaging in deadly combat. Your men are being charged!

    >> Eagle 05/05/10(Wed)23:26 No.9640174
Hmm, wait a tick. If we used our powerful legs to spin our body around really fast, and we held out our open claw at the same time, combined with our spines we should be able to make some sort of whirlpool of death.

Honestly, i liked the old way better, it seemed more streamlined and epic. You were rolling offscreen though i presume, or you had some sort of way of determining success.

Can we go back to the old method? That way was more streamlined.
    >> Crabmaster !vuOBu6g15U 05/05/10(Wed)23:36 No.9640346
You open your claw, scuttling powerful in a circle. Your POWERFUL LEGS create a massive current around you, and squid are drawn in by your whirlpool. You clack and slash your claw, dicing squid with reckless abandon. A couple are drawn into your crushing jaws, meeting an ignoble end in your maw.

When the sand settles, the remaining squid lay dead. Blood and ink dirty the water, and the whales stand in awe of your power, dead squid hanging from their slackened jaws.
    >> Crabmaster !vuOBu6g15U 05/05/10(Wed)23:36 No.9640359

    >> Crabmaster !vuOBu6g15U 05/05/10(Wed)23:49 No.9640562
You do the "Dance of Dominance" and cry out to the squid. None answer your call. The whales bellow your glory across the seas, and return to their home. Your troops begin to set up camp for the night.

You can molt for two points now. Food reserves are at 90%.

I'm gonna end this here tonight, guys.
