All have downsides, before anyone asks - Ceruleans expand the power of the storm which wants to swallow Athas, Necromancers rape the dead and bring more across, making it easier for the undead to rise until noone will ever stay dead and Shadowcasters feed a bit more of the world into complete oblivion with every spell.
