The cockpit was closed, sealed. After going over if checklist a fourth time, King switches on the com.

Several of the deck crews running back and forth between the ships scream and roll for cover as a 14ft missile noiselessly slids from a slanted tube on the bombers wing. Landing with a dull thump and denting the floor plating. The entirety of the flight crew hold their breath as the nuke rolls to a stop.

Next he knew, King was climbing out of a clone tank and being fitted in a flight suit. Rushing down to the hangar, he jumped in the closest available interceptor and took off.

Finally she was starting to feel awake.

With a grim smile, she hit the intercom for the boarding pod stored under her Stork's wing.

With a flip of the switch, the metal boarding coffin shot out into the ether, on a direct course for the station. The com channel switched back to the battle with a click.

"Yorkie! We have a squishie shooting right past your ass. Keep them safe or I'll sit you on the next nuke!"

With his forces safely aboard the Lucky O'Reily, the battle was over. For Bravo and the Sword of Damocles at least.

"Langley, you better live, you sonnavabitch," Walker mumbled as he stood from his command chair and began shuffling out of the command room.

"Sir, are you alright? Where are you going?" one Officer Liam asked. She looked worried; odd for the woman who looked bored all the time.
