20 KB Doppelganger Bootleg Quest II Tollymain !!ze5GOtMjMiN 02/18/11(Fri)22:09 No.13953219
Restartin' due to forgetting to give vital information early.

You are a creature initially similar to a doppelganger. However, you are something much more and less than any ordinary shapeshifter. You cannot change shape at will, but you can devour a creature to take their shape and voice. You can also devour a creature to take an attribute that was theirs, be it knowledge, a skill, or a inborn trait. Last time on DBQ, you ate several urban creatures, a homeless man, and a housewife after waking without memories of your origin in a dark alley. Then you broke into a building through a window and found a small family sleeping in a loft above a kitchen. You killed and devoured them all, taking the shape of the wife, a heavy-set blonde woman with gray eyes. You then settled down in the couple's bed for some sleep after securing the trapdoor to the kitchen with a heavy chest. You woke up to the sound of shouting and something knocking against the underside of the trapdoor.

    >You hear shouting from the kitchen below. Up here, you see a 20 by 10 foot loft, with the bed you're currently on off to one end and a few sleeping pads against the wall opposite the trap door. On top of the trapdoor leading down to the kitchen is a heavy chest you dragged there an hour and a half ago. A couple other small chests are next to the bed you just woke up on.

They are looking for a human, lets give them a bird.

If not lets use our climbing skill to get down discretely and find a inn. Eat some cooked animal to see if we can get skills from it and pick up on local gossip.

Let us gain bonuses from eating people cleanly, calmly and over a period of time rather then rushing them down and leaving a mess.

It will encourage us to be a bit more stealthy in some cases.
