Theres gotta be some security station somewhere.

Can't we just xray that thing?

Since the thermos is empty now, shake it and listen for sloshing liquid.

There aren't any x-ray machines on the island.

Whoever archives this should put "In which we get meta as shit and waste hours poking at a thermos while ECW acts coy and uninformative" in the thread description. Because things have taken a sharp turn for the pointless here.
    >> Anonymous 04/03/11(Sun)00:22 No.14455954
Obviously without better tools or knowing the trick, we can't open the thermos.
So why don't we stop wasting time, give it to the scientists, tell them there's something hidden inside, and let them figure it out while we just timeskip forward.

I have to agree, we have been messing around with this thermos for nearly 3 hours. we either need a hint or a clear sign to quit messing with the thermos

Check for the sound of liquid inside, so that we have something to demonstrate to the eggheads so that they will take it seriously.
    >> Emergency Chair Warmer 04/03/11(Sun)00:25 No.14455984
You do hear some liquid sloshing. In addition, after a little shaking, you start to hear a small clinking sound. Jason's eye gives a twitch.

    >>14455901

I'm sorry if I've been unhelpful. Was there anything you wanted more information on?

Once again, hand the thermos over to the scientists, tell them what we think and see what they can do about it. I just want to progress damnit.

Flat out ask Jason how many he's got in there. Point out that you've already figured out that there's something in there that needs to be kept cold and is fairly delicate, and there's only one thing on the island that fits that bill. Tell him he can either give up the key, or risk the scientists breaking the samples when they try to open it up, and have the bill for the lost material added to the growing list of sins he's going to have to make up for.

He rolls his eyes, and blanches slightly. He empties his pockets of a Red Security Card, a small case of some kind, like a cigarette case; a pen, and some loose change.

The case has "With Love" engraved on the top. Inside are a set of 6 plastic toothpicks. They all have notches on both ends, so they must see a lot of use.

The pen seems to be a run of the mill click pen.
