erm, seriously, though. what you're asking is massive. as in, I've been studying this stuff for a decade, and have barely scratched the surface. you could fill a dozen threads just on the development, yet alone how to defeat it. people think "oh they wore armour for centuries, its all the same" but its not. there's a constant arms race going on from the roman era to the 17th C, and , with the exception of the periods of the 5th-8th C, and the 11th C, that's in a constant state of change. even 50 years can result in as much difference between soldier's kit, as there is between a soldier in the Gulf War, and in WW2. |
