    223 KB Bodysnatcher Quest 7 Brain In A Jar 05/30/11(Mon)17:21 No.15105385
You are a strange creature, capable of taking over other lifeforms to serve as your vessel. Your current host, Jack Winters, was unbeknownst to you a drug addict, and overdosed on speedball. To survive, you bonded with him, but this damaged you, leaving you without any idea of what you are.

Your purpose seems to be related to the series of objects that have appeared and dissapeared above major population centers, and to the cyborg-like creature that you killed.

Your kin, the bodysnatchers, seem intent on murdering you, and have sent combat specialised variants, called Warriors, after you, that you defeated with help from an unknown aircraft with cloak-capabilities, belonging to a branch of the military with some knowledge of the aliens.

Joining up with a small team, calling themselves the Fools, you found out that you are something called a Hunter, a creature of immense potential. Through careless handling, a cyborg creature attacekd and infected Catherine, Jack's girlfriend, and called it's kin to fight you. You narrowly escaped a battle with something called an HK, the military openly intervening. The end result of the fight is unknown, the area where it took place quarantined. Catherine, after your attempt to cure her failed, is in a coma, her body torn in a war between the cyborg and bodysnatcher strain infection, and you agrreed to infiltrating a military base in hopes of curing her.

    Your known abilities are:
    - reinforcing your muscle and bone tissue, making you several times stronger, faster and tougher
    - growing weapons from your arms, limited to one on each arm in any combination:a hooked, double edged blade on your forearm, claws or a spike that springs out from your wrist underneath your palm
    - hardening your skin into thick, segmented bone plate armor, and growing a membrane under your skin, that contains fluid that hardens on impact
    - absorbing ingested organic material, that you can use to increase muscle and bone density(animal tissue is the most effective)
    - the ability to call forth your host's memories, skills and knowledge
    - altering your appearance, includin skin\hair\eye colour, facial features, height, build, and gender, though the more elaborate the change is, the more time and effort it takes.
    - producing almost any kind of drug, poison or acid in liquid form, including sedatives, that you can deliver either at high pressure from an opening that can be created anywhere on your body, or through the wristspike.
    - emitting pheromones, currently untested
    - sensing the mind-link of bodysnatchers, possible utility and range unknown

Last we left off, you easily sneaked close to your targets, three men tasked with guarding the agent of The Wise known as Dirar Fadil. You just recieved confirmation that the gunmen you are allied with easily took care of another three. Their report was cut short by the sound of gunfire, coming from a building 50 meters on the opposite side of the street, where Megan was sent to distract the last group...

Megan is your hosts old childhood friend.
Back in the day your host killed her very abusive father who was brutally beating her and her mother, which sent him to juviline prison for 4 years. After he got out, they had a brief relationship which ended on not so friendly note, the host became a drug-user and a minor dealer.

Megan has been introduced to the world of aliens when the secret governmental organization, called the Wise, though that she might have been infected by a bodysnatcher and kidnapped her. When it turned out they were wrong, she decided to help them in their fight. She became the doctors assistant.
The doctor decided to break off the Wise because he did not trust them and started a minor group of his own called the Fools.

Megan it a tremendous bitch, by the way.

You rush to an open window, and leap outside, wanting to dash across the street and jump up on the building where Megan is. At least, that's the plan. A lamp post below is in the path of your descent, it's end hitting you in the shin, spinning you in the air. You fall face falet on the concrete, the impact still substantial after the absorbant dampens it.

You get up on all fours, and hear Megans voice in your headset. "Guys, some help here?"

You push yourself up, and run as fast as your alien strength allows, covering the distance in a second. Kicking off with an animal growl, your fingers extend into claws, carving your handholds into the brick of the wall, propelling you forward in a shower of small debris.

By the time you reach to the floor they are at, the gunshots stop, and you see the three men holding Meg at gunpoint, her hands high in the air. One of them has an assault rifle, another a military shotgun, the last a large caliber handgun.

The glass pane explodes as you charge in, the men turning to see an armored monster coming in through the 4th story window. They fire, but the bullets ricochet of the bone-plate, the shock-absorbant liquid underneath taking most of the hit. Your claws retracted, you slam both palms on the chests of the two with heavier guns, the spike sliding in for a split second, the force of your strike throwing them off of the morphed weapons.

You turn to the third one, seeing him holding Megan from behind, hands confined behind her back, his pistol placed against her temple.

You smile, which in your current state is very disturbing, your face covered in one large plate above the upper lip, eyes hidden behind two small sunken holes.
"What makes you think I care?"

Tension explodes into incredible force in your legs, the distance between you gone in the blink of an eye. Megan twists and leans backward as your right hand swings upward, the spike , it's tip lodging itself in the underside of the gun, extending as far as possible. The pistol goes off, leaving a shallow graze on Meg's forehead.

Your left hits the man's stomach, lifting him off the ground for a moment , the sedative making him go limp before he falls on the ground.

Megan looks at you, her face pale, eyes wide, and says "Jesus, that was close."

The headset comes alive. "Winters, Miss Megan, report in. What the hell's going on?"

You nod, and shift out of the armor, leaving the absorbant layer up, and head down, taking the stairs this time. Quickly getting out the gate, you head for the alley, finding a dumpster that you can squeeze behind.

Soon enough, he walks by, the picture you were shown still perfectly matching his appearance. You vault the dumpster, grab him and cover his mouth. The sedative is pumped into his blood through his forearm, the spike retracting unseen.

He'll be down for what you guess is the rest of the morning, leaving you with more than enough time to get things done. Taking his clothes, you spend enough time to accurately copy his look, and call the Doc to get the van.

You feal a slight tingle, almost perceptible. It's your new hive-mind senses. You follow it, and go back to the lift, going further on by the right corridor. There is another divide with five soldiers. They salute you as you pass by, and you mumble something in return, intent on finding the source of the signal. You turn left, and soon find the end of the corridor, another junction. There are some very faint signals coming from the left, and a stronger one from the right. You don't see any particular difference in the corridors.

No staff though, the only ones around are soldiers. You reach the end of the hall, and see a massive door, fortified beyond anything you've seen before in this base. It's sealed airtight, and has six soldiers in front of it, with very different garb and armor than the rest. They wear NBC suits, and have heavy ordanance, LMG's for two, some kind of futuristic assault rifles with undermounted grenade laucnhers for another two, and clearly alien-hybrid weaponry for the last two.

One of them steps forward. "Director Fadil, how can we help you?" His tone is casual, with none of the respectful fear that you were treated with before.

Heh. Miss Grey is alive, but trapped in a different body...

    >>15110170
Rolling to reply, I guess. But I prefer if we leave the sight of these men first.

"Soldier,.why do you think I am here in person? I need to review that data. Anything leaving that room leaves in my memory or not at all."

You look up, steadying yourself against the wall. "It's fine, soldier. Terrible migraine, is all."

You walk a bit back, trying to find the proper channel, so to speak. You fumble around, but eventually find purchase.

"Hello? I know someone is out there. Can you hear me? It's so dark in here..." The voice is very much like that of a scared young girl.

When and why did you come here, and why have these humans taken you hostage?

"I don't know. Where are we? They took me here in a box or cage. I don't know what they want from me. I just heard this talk and I wasn't sick anymore and then they came for me, I don't know what's happening. I just want to go home."

Hmmm... It's probably lying. In any case, we'll gain more from the weaker signals than by this deceptive, creepy voice in our head.

You decide to leave and go for the easy pickings, the pleading voice going more and more desperate as you move away. A few steps and it's already faded to nothing.

As you walk down the corridor, one of the security guards who you sent down with the Doctor comes up to you. "Sir, your man sent for you, says it's urgent." It's still a good five minutes before the time the Doc set is over.

Do we have any way to remotely communicate with the Doc? In either case, let's make use of our time and head to the minor signals as quick as we can.

No, the headsets were the only things, and they were less than inconspicuous.

    >I'll wrap this up in a minute, and we'll resume thursday 16:00-ish.

"I'll be right there. I just have to take care of something on this end." He nods and heads back toward the lift.

You walk back to the origin of the weaker signal, giving a wave to the soldiers there. "I need to check something."

"Of course, sir." the soldier says, standing out of the way. You swipe Falil's ID card, and the door opens with a satisfying hiss. You step in and push a button inside, closing the door. In front of you, lining the walls, is a collection of large tubes attached to machinery, bigger versions of the one the Doc gave you. You allow yourself a small smile.

    It's time to eat.
