    160 KB Stuffed Bunny Quest. Talecrafter !RwSkl1RgX6 05/30/11(Mon)22:28 No.15108500
You feel your thoughts begin to stir for the first time. You slowly move your body, but it is heavy to you. Unwieldy. You place one hand over the other and then slowly over your surroundings. Everything feels soft. What a strange sensation.

Wait, what's your name? A newly sentient stuffed bunny like yourself can't go around without some sort of identity.

[I will pick actions out of concensus unless I ask for a dice roll.]

[Mr Fuffles(sic) is a name too adorable to not use, despite the great title of Mr. Fuzzbottom Cuddlerumpus of Nottingham the Fourth]

Mr Fuffles. Yes. That sounds familiar and rather fitting. You stand and begin to walk upon the bed. The room itself is a rather small affair but filled with many personal effects, like books. There are, however, no other stuffed animals.

There is a wooden desk with chair, a wardrobe and of course, the bed that you are on. There is a small pink analogue clock. The small hand is pointing to the number three, whilst the long hand is pointing to the number six.

    What do?

[Whilst this is set in some nameless town in America, I am not personally acquainted with the school system. Forgive me for any discrepancies.]

[Oh Herp. Didn't see all those posts. I'm happy with naming him the long name and having his nickname Sir Fuffles. Just wanted a shorter name, that's all.]

You begin to walk around, searching around for some proper attire. After all, a newly sentient stuffed bunny like yourself can't go around not looking dapper. You climb to the desk, trying to see if there are anything that can fit you.

You suppose the pencil could be fashioned into a nice cane. There is a workbook here with some butterfly stickers. Written upon it is "English. 4th Grade. Marie Clare Roberts." in a rather neat cursive handwriting. There is the pink alarm clock, a pen - You quickly try to see if the pen lid could be fashioned into clothing, but you're far too big. If you colour it, maybe it would make a silly little hat, like the ones those 'beefeaters' wear.

You jump down to the floor and judge your own height. Why, you're nearly as tall as the bed, if you raise your arms up.

[This would make an excellent quest, but I'm afraid I have a different theme in mind altogether.]

The room is rather clean, at least, the floor isn't covered with clothes and stuff, anyway. You climb back up to the bed and use that to climb to the desk. The desk is a little messy.

You use the window as a mirror and check yourself, look for any tags, but you don't see any. Lookin good, though. Maybe you do need something more.

Hm. Maybe you can fashion yourself some clothes out of paper. You find a blank piece of paper on the table and try to rip it. You try your best to rip a little hat carefully, but you only manage to rip a square. Damn these hands.

You hear a noise and you fall over. You begin to will yourself to move, but nothing seems to happen! How curious. You hear footsteps coming to the room and the door closing as you are picked up.

[Got more words words words coming. Also: Whilst the bunny is from the last Mimzy, I've never watched it or read the story. I just came across it whilst searching for an appropriate picture.]

Oh! It's your owner. She hugs you tight and takes a look at you. Tears are streaming down her freckled face. She seems to have a bruise on her face! "Oh Sir Fuffles.. I've had a horrible day.." She hugs you tightly again as she lays on the bed.

"It's those stupid neighbourhood boys.. They've been throwing rocks at me again..." She sighs heavily. "But the rest of the day was kinda okay.. The maths test wasn't too bad, but Mr Brown still doesn't seem to like me very much. I still have a lot of homework to do. Mummy and Daddy seems okay today.. I hope that lasts." Before she can say more, you hear a call for dinner, which she answers after hugging you tightly once more. Whilst you still cannot move, your thoughts are on the girl.

Perhaps there maybe something that you can do to better her life. She seems so sad and her only companion is you.

Well, either way, there's not exactly much you can do right now.

She returns with a soft smile upon her face and does her homework. You are placed upon the desk as to watch her. She seems confused at some stages, but she continues nonetheless. She doodles a little hat and carefully rips it out, placing it atop your head. You feel much more dapper now!

Afterwards, she brings you to watch a cartoon on the TV. The warmth of her smile and her laugh brings you a sense of happiness as she shares the moment with you.

She hugs you as she sleeps. You wonder about what you can do, but you also drift to a slow sleep.

You wake to the sound of an alarm clock. She promptly wakes and begins a routine. She puts you in front of the toaster to watch over the toast as she goes to the bathroom. The father takes the toast and serves them with chocolate spread, although not before taking a bite for himself.

When she returns, he blames you for his misdeeds, but they soon laugh together. You are taken to the bedroom as she is about to leave.

You are given one last big hug. She seems.. apprehensive to leave, but she does so anyway. The world is a scary place it seems.

Soon after, you test your limbs out. Aha, you can use them again. Seems like you can only move when she's in school. How odd. What now?

As you move from the bed, your thoughts go to yesterday and what your owner had told you. How dare they throw rocks, that's not very nice! But, you suppose, it could be them trying to show affection. How strange humans are. You hear more doors closing and the faint sound of cars.

Hm, you assume that you're now home alone. The windows are closed and so is the door, it's handle mocking you. You pick up your paper top hat and begin to pace, setting your little stuffed brain at work. Wait. Do you even have a brain? Oh, that doesn't matter.

The top hat falls off your head and onto the table. Damned flimsy paper.

The house is rather big compared to Marie's room. You can see the kitchen area and the living room area. The door to the outside world has another handle, which is nothing to you and your string!

However, preparation crosses your mind. You saw the trepidation upon her face this morning. Perhaps you should be more prepared, however ruggedly handsome you look with your new hat.

You rub your little fluffy chin. Paper and some writing utensil would be easy to find, if you wanted to communicate with anyone. However, you have to remember that you are only a single bunny and your stature means that you can't carry a lot.

However, you stuff the string into the lip of your hat for safe keeping, so you have both your hands free. Functional Fashion. Maybe you should contact a magazine and tell them about the wonders of this hat.

The thought dissappears rather quickly though. There are things to do, things to grab. You walk around, all the doors in this house have handles. The whole house is your oyster!

You quickly run back to Marie's room, climbing over the bed and back to the desk to obtain yourself that rather sharp pencil. When is a pencil-now-cane like a weapon? Whenever you want it to be. You give a few thrust, wielding the pencil like a rapier.

You take a glance at the little clock whilst you're up here. The small hand is on ten and the big hand is on six.

You take a piece of paper out, ready to write a message, but you seem unsure of what to write.
    A message for the bullies?
    A message for the parents?

You also do need some sort of bag, a bunny must always be prepared, and you can only be prepared if you have a place to put items in! You try to think of what would make a handy backpack for you, but nothing obvious comes to mind. Marie doesn't have any other toy, so there's no handy "Barbie's Backpack" or any toy-friendly bags around.

    How vexing.

Write to parents first, they can succeed if we fail.
Find a small towel, tie it like a sack and use it for a backpack of sorts.
I would suggest finding a safety pin, a few coins and a shot glass to take with us.

Tape, rubber bands, and a band-aid box ought to do the trick. also keep a few rubber bands around for emergencies. Rubber bands are always useful. If there are Roller skates anywhere here, that would make a fine cart for storage and downhill transport.

no other toys? i daresay that these parents don't love their child! though that was obvious enough, what with her coming home bruised.

lets right a note to both.
to the parents: "You better take better care of your daughter or ill take her away!"

to the bullies: "You gentlemen should watch yourselves when you beat up girls, or someone your own size might show you a thing or two about bruises!"

You begin to write a letter as your little cotton brain tries to come with an idea for a bag. You put pencil, no, you find a black pen. Yes, much more imposing. You put pen onto paper and begin slowly. Legibility is important!

"Please stop" You must say, this is rather hard. "The ungentlemanly and brutish behavior towards Miss Roberts," No bunny has lived without hard work, you continue slowly but surely. "as it is causing her much distress and the bruises mar her face." You move down a little, as to mark a new paragraph. "If you do not comply, gentlemen, drastic measures will be taken." Such stern words.

You put the pen down for now. There is still the potential letter to her parents and another to her, as a pen friend. You smile to yourself at the idea as you jump down to search for items.

[Just one d100 this time. Best of three. It will determine what kind of bag you will have]

Good sir or madam, you cannot be implying that Mr. Fuzzbottom Cuddlerumpus of Nottingham the Fourth is illiterate. We can, of course, copy her handwriting, but Sir Fuffles writes in print, although you must admit, it is hard to avoid the occasional squiggle or odd line here and there.

You begin your search, opening doors to each room. The parents bedroom, the bathroom. You carefully climb into the sink to try to obtain a good position to open the medicine cabinet, but unfortunately, it is out of your reach. You settle for a small hand towel and a safety pin, although you do also manage to find a small red rubber band to add to your inventory.

You climb back up to the desk with ease, even with your new bag, and settle back down on the writing desk. The small hand is now closest upon the twelve and the big hand is nearing ten.

Time truly does make fools of us all.

You tap the pen the desk in thought.
You have the letter to the bullies, although somewhere in your cuddly head, a letter to the parents and to Marie herself is being formed.

Of course, there are also other things of use within the house, you have not fully searched the house. Although for what, you're not truly sure. You stare outside in thought. It's a rather lovely day outside, the few clouds being the soft and fluffy kind. Rather like cotton candy, or yourself, of course.

[You can write a letter to the parents, or a letter to Marie. I'd like you to write the actual letter out.
You can also search the house, but I'd need something specific that you're searching for.
Of course, there are also the myriad of other options that you can think of.]

You carefully fold your threatening letter and place it in your bag. Such strong words must be kept under wrap.

You find another piece of paper. Yes, a letter to show that she has a guardian angel. You stop before the pen touches the paper. Or a letter of friendship from another?

You mull over the decision, after all, a bunny must be careful of his words. The pen is mightier than the sword.

You begin to write slowly, merging the three ideas in your head. She needs a friend and a guardian angel.

You resolve on making a short letter. You would have more days to write another one.

"Thank you for my hat." You take a second glance at the hat that she made. "I made one for you. I wish to be your friend and I will protect you from harm." You smile to yourself. To the point, but not crass. You've done it again, Cuddlerumpus.

Hm. Something's missing. Ah, "PS:" A compliment will set her mood up. "I like your freckles." Your bunny intuition tells you that human females do enjoy compliments.

You fold the letter and leave it upon her desk. You take a glance at the clock, and the small hand is already at three! Where does time go.

You quickly leap down and hide your satchel underneath the bed. No one will find it there. You climb back up and you hear sounds and noises. You feel your whole body become unresponsive. Such an odd sensation.
    >> Talecrafter !RwSkl1RgX6 05/31/11(Tue)01:40 No.15110521
Marie comes in and sets her bag down. She has that soft smile to her face again. She hugs you and notices your hat. "Sir Fuffles, where did you your new hat?" She places you back on the desk. "A letter..?" Before she is able to open it, the call to dinner comes.

She returns quicker than yesterday and reads the letter in silence. She looks a little confused, but she continues to smile. She takes the hat "Well, it is for me, however much it suits you." and places it upon her head.

It is far too small. You make a note to yourself to make a bigger hat for her. She hugs you tightly, "I got an B on the maths exam, so mummy took me out for ice cream." The smile she has is infectious. "School was okay today." She takes out her homework and continues to wear the hat.

She seems distracted and in the middle of her work, "Do you think a cute boy wrote this? It sounds like a boy." showing the letter to you. She touches her own cheeks. "I never met any boy who said that they like freckles."

She sits in front of the TV, although she seems a little more absent minded. The soft smile does not leave her face. She hugs you tightly as she sleeps, "Goodnight, Sir Fuffles." and you too, drift slowly, happy at a good day's work.
