You are a strange creature, capable of taking over other lifeforms to serve as your vessel. Your current host, Jack Winters, was unbeknownst to you a drug addict, and overdosed on speedball. To survive, you bonded with him, but this damaged you, leaving you separated from the bodysnatcher command structure. An individual by accident, you are hunted by the cyborg aliens, the forces guided by the illuminati called the Wise, and your own kin.

Worried about Catherine's mental state, you decide that reawakening the old personality is the best way to keep the "monster" Daisy talked about inside Cath contained. Recreation, or a date, if you will, seemed like the best course of action, and you left for an amusement park, only to be somehow located by the Overseer. After sending the others away, you took care of a pack of Faux-Dragons, absorbing their ability of flight.
    >> Brain In A Jar 07/23/11(Sat)16:42 No.15680669
    Your known abilities are:
    - reinforcing your muscle and bone tissue, making you several times stronger, faster and tougher
    - growing weapons from your arms, limited to one on each arm in any combination:a hooked, double edged blade on your forearm, claws or a spike that springs out from your wrist underneath your palm
    - hardening your skin into thick, segmented bone plate armor, and growing a membrane under your skin, that contains fluid that hardens on impact
    - absorbing ingested organic material, that you can use to increase muscle and bone density(animal tissue is the most effective)
    - the ability to call forth your host's memories, skills and knowledge
    - altering your appearance, includin skin\hair\eye colour, facial features, height, build, and gender, though the more elaborate the change is, the more time and effort it takes.
    - producing almost any kind of drug, poison or acid in liquid form, including sedatives, that you can deliver either at high pressure from an opening that can be created anywhere on your body, or through the wristspike.
    - emitting pheromones that influence humans
    - sensing the mind-link of bodysnatchers
    - enhanced senses, capable of switching to different spectrums (infravision, ultrasound, noise filtering, etc.)
    - fiber-optic nervous system, allowing you to ignore pain to some extent, and speeding up your reflexes by orders of magnitude
    - a pair of leathery wings growing from your shoulder blades, with a bio-fuel fed jet system underneath it, allowing you extremely fast aerial movement
    - superhuman sense of balance
    >> Brain In A Jar 07/23/11(Sat)16:43 No.15680676
Kneeling on the dirty asphalt concrete, you feel a stretching sensation in your back, a new set of limbs, a bony framework for the wings extending, the leather growing rapidly to complete it. Two small orifices grow underneath them on the middle of your back, a small burst of bluish flame squirting out to test them. Some of the sedative you carry prepared has been transformed into potent fuel, allowing you a few minutes of flight.

Lifting your head, you spot two groups of five Warriors rushing to catch you, about ten seconds from reaching there. Extending the mind link, you can feel that the Infiltrators have also divided into two, some of them chasing down Catherine and the others, the rest seemingly waiting for something a few hundred yards from the park.

    Wat do?

You start to weigh the odds of capturin one of them alive, when you hear a strange, keening sound in the distance, and throwing a glance in that direction reveals that bright, blue flashes accompanies it. Extending the mind-link to it's limit, you feel that a dozen or so Infiltrators have gone dark. One of the groups of bodysnatchers heading your way break off and head in that direction. You can feel Daisy there, close to the source of the flashes.

Taking the opportunity, you quickly redesign your armour to be more aerodinamic, and take to the skies, the jets pushing you off the ground with amazing force. In a second, you are upon your prey, deftly snatching one up by the shoulder, then swiftly changing course towards antoher. Dropping your struggling, heavy payload, you are rewarded by a satisfying crunch, the speed of the creature making it impact with massive force.

A cursory glance reveals that the one you threw has been killed, the one underneath it still alive, if barely. The rest seem to be a bone-spike specialised Warrior, a close combat one, and some type you haven't seen before, it's signals through the mind-link showing it as a leader. It is larger and more slender than the Warriors you saw before, four large tentacles coming from his back.

The tentacles, if I recall correctly, function as additional "slots" for weapons. In other words: We have two arms, he has six. We must be careful with him. Also, the one with the spikes can shoot us with them, which means he can damage our wings. Let's kill him first.

Be careful not to spend all fuel. We must be able to quickly escape.

Floating in the air for a second, you quickly start moving when spikes start to fill the air, courtesy of your target. Moving in a wide arc, you boost yourself towards him, shutting the jets off and folding in your wings, going into a dive. The spikes rattle of your armour, and you extend your right arm, the hook-blade ready on it, piercing deep into the beasts neck on impact. You're legs on it's chest supporting you, you slam your left against the smooth, bone-plated head, the wrist-spike forcing it's way through the dense bone, cracking it in the process. A long tongue flicks out of a mouth filled with needle-like teeth, before the Warrior breaths it's last.

You manage to free your weapons in time to avoid the charge of the close-combat type, pirouetting out of the way of it's much larger blades. It tires to simply trample you to death using it's size, but you jump above it, turning upside down in the air, placing a hand on the top of it's head for balance. Lightly pushing off, you spin around, landing a jet assisted roundhouse kick on the temple. The creature falls to the ground lifeless, the force of the blow having caved in a part of the skull the size of your fist, it's eyeball hanging out from the stalk like a snails.

You turn towards the last one, the "leader", ready to ffight, only to see it slowly circling around you, cautiously keeping it's distance. It also seem like two of it's tentacles are being morphed into an organ you haven't quite seen before.

Realizing that this is your best chance to take the creature out, you sprint towards it, a quick flare of the jets between steps increasing your already impressive speed, making you tackle the Warrior like a cannonball. Hitting the ground with bone jarring force, you raise your right for an instant before striking down, seperating one of the tentacles from it's owner, the spike on your left pushed into the joint of the creature's right arm, fixing it in place.

You hardly free your blade from the concrete before the other tentacle finishes morphing, it's end turning into a large cylinder, a membrane occupying it's front and small orifices on it's top. The latter seem to suck in air, then your world turns red as a deep, vibrating sound fills your skull, the weapon point blank against your face. Tiny blood vessels pop, incapable of dealing with this new form of attack, and your stomach churns. You try to stagger away, deaf and disoriented, but the Leader grabs you by the throat with it's free hand, the grip like a steel vice.

You whrench at the spike lodged in the shoulder for a moment in your confused state, before realizing that you can simply retract it. Fumbling to place it, you slap your palm under it's chin, sending the spike as far as it goes, flooding sedatives, toxins, and bio-fuel without discrimination. In a second, you can feel it's hand on your throat weaken, then fall down limp on it's chest, the vibration stopping. You retch, the area where he gripped you burning. Your hand shaking, you shove it into the wound you just made, tendrils erupting from it's every surface, greedily devouring the being within.

The material within coursing through your brain in a bright cascade of genetic information, you stand, still a bit shaky, and give the corpse at your feet a kick, still coughing with every breath, your ears lightly bleeding underneath the defensive bone.

Stumbling to the last bodysnatcher alive, you can see it trying to heal enough of it's skeleton to move, animal fear spreading through the mind-link like a thick, musky stench. The hook-blade stirkes into it's chest, tendrils bursting from it to feast.

A second before you killed it, the Leader registered that all the Infiltrators sent after Catherine and the others have died, along with two of the Warriors. Feeling slightly relieved by that news, you turn your attention to the possible uses of the genetic material you just absorbed.

Four muscular tentacles sprout from your back, surprisingly agile and dexterous. You need to figure out the logistics for it though, as you don't want the tentacles to get scroched by the jets or impede the wings. Finalyy, you manage to place the tentacles in groups of two on your shoulders, with the wings unfolding a little lower on your back.

Sending out the mind-link to Daisy, you easily find her, already waiting for you. "We're fine, Catherine got rid of the bad guys. She's acting weird right now, I think she got really scared when they started to shoot at us, and she let the monster take over for a little while."

The "real" Catherine is just a normal girl who probably never fought anyone before, much less killed somebody. It's no surprise that she let the "monster" take over to do the deed for her. We must talk with her about that.

Well, it seems that our little family weekend was ruined. Grim reminder about the harsh fact that we're never truly safe. There's somebody wanting us dead everywhere. Cath must learn to live with us, lest the cyborg takes over her. As for plans, I think we should attack the Overseer in the yellow house. He musn't threaten us again.

You start laughing, quietly at first, then it turns into a bellowing, roaring decleration of freedom. You arrive to your destination in a minute, careful to stay under the sound barrier. You slow down to land, Daisy jumping in your arms, shouting "You can fly!". You laugh, and twirl her around, still intoxicated by the new experience.

"Jack?" Catherine steps out of the car, visibly upset, hugging herself with a scared expression. You set the girl down, and hurry to her, embracing her. She sags with relief, almost falling down if not for your support. Turning to a harrowed-looking Kellery, you quietly say "I think you girls deserve some rest. Let's get back home, then I'll deal with the thing that set all this up." You gesture towards the still smoking ruins of the vans and pickup trucks around, most of them melted to slag, a few charred spots signalling the position of the Warriors.

You pile into the car, and drive back home, the sound of the engine lulling you into sleep. You did expend a lot of energy, and the sonic weapon realy did a number on you, so your sleep is deep and undisturbed until you arrive back at the motel, the area dark, nary a working streetlight working. Everyone is silent, worn out by the repeated stress and worry, filing in the run-down building without a word. Catherine drops down on a sofa as soon as she gets in, and after some tired complaining, Daisy gets tucked into bed by Kellery. Meanwhile, you raid the kitchen for some food, taking a few minutes to replenish your reserves, and by the time you step out, the Prof is asleep as well, sitting in an armchair by the girl's side, holding her hand.

Wat do, then? Go after the Overseer now, or rest first?

He'll just be able to track us down again if we stay put right?
If so the sooner we eliminate him the better.

If the Overseer can keep an eye on us the entire time, we shouldn't expect to be able to rest. At least one of us will need to stand watch or something. But otherwise, we should get some rest as well.

    >Tying things up for today then.

You take care not to wake up anyone, and sneak out, breathing in the cool air outside, stretching for a moment, then starting off at a steady run. You get a few curious glances from people you pass by, some guy running around at midnight. The rythm of your feet hitting has an almost hypnotic quality to it, and you enter a fugue state, almost not noticing when you get to your destination after a quarter of an hour.

A large, two storey house, painted a bright yellow lies in front of you, the wind rustling the leaves on the trees in the yard, the crisply cut lawn under your feet. You can sense the Overseer, panicing, it's forces brought down to a mere handful of troops in a single night. Nowhere left to run. The thought cheers you up, and a wicked little smile forms on your face. Your body shifts and moves underneath the skin, an instrument of destruction revving it's engines for combat, your hands clenching into tight fists.

Two Warriors appear from behind the house, slowly walking towards you, ready for anything. A Leader leaps down from a nearby building, blocking the street to the left, and a black van rolls out of a garage on to the road on the right, it's side door popping open to reveal Infiltrators armed with assault rifles.

Your armour flows like quicksilver, covering you, turning you back into the fierce creature you really are. You laugh, a sharp, angry, barking sound, and shout out loud.

    "THAT THE BEST YOU GOT?"
