I need to reset my biological clock or something. Overlsept, but here, typing.
    >> Brain In A Jar !2he8cbHXgM 09/18/11(Sun)17:39 No.16343740
You are a strange creature, capable of taking over other lifeforms to serve as your vessel and turning them into biological engines of war. Your current host, Jack Winters, was unbeknownst to you a drug addict, and overdosed on speedball. To survive, you bonded with him, but this damaged you, leaving you separated from the bodysnatcher command structure. An individual by accident, you are hunted by the cyborg aliens and your own kin, allied out of necessity with the century spanning conspiracy the Wise, and their many forces.

After borrowing Richard's jet to get back state side, you got brought up to speed on global matters, talked with Cath's sister, and watched Megan escape her holding cell through video chat, the facility she was held in under attack.
    >> Brain In A Jar !2he8cbHXgM 09/18/11(Sun)17:39 No.16343744
    Your known abilities are:
    - reinforcing your muscle and bone tissue, making you several times stronger, faster and tougher
    - growing weapons from your arms, limited to one on each arm in any combination:a hooked, double edged blade on your forearm, claws, a spike that springs out from your wrist underneath your palm or launchable bone spikes
    - hardening your skin into thick, segmented bone plate armor resistant to heat and energy weapons, and growing a membrane under your skin, that contains fluid that hardens on impact
    - absorbing ingested organic material, that you can use to increase muscle and bone density(animal tissue is the most effective)
    - the ability to call forth your host's memories, skills and knowledge
    - altering your appearance, includin skin\hair\eye colour, facial features, height, build, and gender, though the more elaborate the change is, the more time and effort it takes.
    - producing almost any kind of drug, poison or acid in liquid form, including sedatives, that you can deliver via gasses, at high pressure from an opening that can be created anywhere on your body, or through the wristspike.
    - producing special material that can be a flaming liquid sprayed out, a flammable gas or a sticky jelly on fire
    - emitting pheromones that influence humans
    - sensing the mind-link of bodysnatchers
    - enhanced senses, capable of switching to different spectrums (infravision, ultrasound, noise filtering, etc.)
    >> Brain In A Jar !2he8cbHXgM 09/18/11(Sun)17:40 No.16343757

    - fiber-optic nervous system, allowing you to ignore pain to some extent, and speeding up your reflexes by orders of magnitude
    - a pair of leathery wings growing from your shoulder blades, with a bio-fuel fed jet system underneath it, allowing you extremely fast aerial movement
    - superhuman sense of balance
    - four combat tentacles
    - sonic vibrator drums that can cause disorientation, loss of balance and nausea on a wider area or severe pain and internal damage when focused. The effect magnifies the more drums you use.
    - combat tendrils that can be shot out to a few dozen meters, they are a centimeter in diameter, as strong as steel cable, and have hooked ends that lodge themselves into objects or enemies
    - reading and altering the mind and memories of humans using specialised tendrils

    Mutations:
    -Perfect Predator
Noise-level sense, body better optimised for stealth, invisible to digital sensors and leaves no scent
    -Monstrous Strength
Increased strength, speed, and leaping distance
    -Armoured Juggernaut
Massive armour, capable of deflecting most attacks and weathering the rest.
    -Master of Arms
    Improved bodysnatcher weapons
    -Protean Nature
Near-instantenous morhping, improved energy efficiency, fine control over your shifting

The gunshots coming from the speakers of the terminal have been absent for a few minutes by the time the technician comes back to you. "Sir, you have been asked to wait in the briefing room. All available high-ranking personnel will join you as soon as possible." You nod, and head to the elevator, going down to 7-B, level after level swooping by. The walk after that is short, the halls echoing your fottsteps, empty beyond a handful of guards. The door opens for you, and you flop down on a chair, waiting.

The minutes tick by, and you quietly swear. A smoke would be real welcome right now. But of course, the only time you actually had the chance to buy a pack, you were shot five minutes later. They must have taken it out of your pocket when they hauled you off. It seems to take forever for anyone to show up, and when Cath finally appears, the whole staff you saw when the preparations for the battle were held here follow her. Jacobs seems to be in charge now, and he stands still until everyone is settled down and the display has been turned on. "Forty minutes ago, twenty three of our bases of operation were attacked. We have lost contact with approximately sixty percent of our troops, and the Wise have gone off the grid, with the exception of Black Crown Three. We assume they were attacked as well. Any questions?"

The room is silent, the men and women staring agape, stunned.

    Wat say/do?

    >twenty three of our bases of operation were attacked. We have lost contact with approximately sixty percent of our troops, and the Wise have gone off the grid, with the exception of Black Crown Three
Fuck. That's all I can say. We need to find the Queens (or any other way of becoming a force on our own) quickly. The Wise are screwed, and we can't win a war singlehandedly in our current state.

    "Do we know who's attacking?"

"What are the locations of the remaining forces?
    >We have lost contact with approximately sixty percent of our troops
"Do you have problems reaching them, or has their loss been confirmed?"

I think we really need to meet with the two original Wise. ASAP.

Every face in the room turns toward you. "That is another issue. So far, we have not found any non-human lifeforms among the attackers. There also seem to be more than one faction at play, as one of our bases had survivors due to two distinct groups launching their attack at the same time, and attacking each other when it became apparent that they had competition." His face is grim, eyes hard as steel. "There is worse. Black Crown One is assumed dead, due to a release of the Origin Virus at his base of operations in Seoul. The city has been completely wiped off the map. There are no survivors."

His voice cuts through the murmurs filling the air. "Black Crown Three has estimated that the alien forces will realise our weakness in less than twenty four hours, and will launch a full scale attack. We have until then to prepare. First, Miller..." Jacobs starts issuing orders to the officers, going through a detailed plan to bolster their defences.

Catherine appeares beside you, frowning. "What's going to happen? To us, I mean?" "I have no idea, Cath." She sighs. "Well, not much to do about it, is there." She grabs herself one of the chairs in the room, and sits down, surprisingly unconcerned. Jacobs is done fairly soon, and dismissed his subordinates. He glares at the two of you, silent for a few seconds, before speaking up. "So. What will you two do? What are you willing to help us with?"

Call the numbers of all the wise to see who is still kicking.

"Do we know who released the virus?" Sigh. "Seems like we'll have to do something to stop this carnage before even more people get hurt."
"Any idea how we might track the attackers, Cath? I doubt they have any kind of communications technology that could stand up to you."

"We are still tallying up the dead, but at the moment, approximately one third of the forces missing are assumed to be K.I.A., the rest are... most likely part of the group that undertook that attacks. The remaining troops are scattered around the world. The largest concentrations were hit the hardest."

    >>16344046
"I don't think so. I can make educated guesses at the most, after monitoring communications, but I don't have the means to crack the encriptions the Wise use. I assume they use something similar." "Well crap. Alright, I will attempt to contact the Wise through the channels I've been given. Agent Jacobs, we are at your disposal if you require anything." He shoves his hand in front of you, and you shake it. "Thank you Mister Winters. I will be counting on you."

You leave, Catherine trailing behind you. "I'd like use that phone thing you can make again. Oh, and could you set up something so the Wise can contact us?" "Sure thing, here." After leaving a message to contact you for all three Wise, you hand back the headset she gave you, and start to ponder. Is there anything else you can do?

The Wise are compromised of seven members, the three White and Black Crowns and the Eye. Two fo the White Crowns are behind the fools, and one is neutral, supposedly, that is. You have the channels to contact the three Black Crowns, Esther, William and Eliah.

"You know where Kellery is right now?" Cath blinks, her eyes flashing blue for a split second. "Two levels above us, 5-A." "Thanks Cath. I'll have a little chat with her, you go on ahead to the suite, try your hand with those encriptions." The ride is short, and Catherine gives you an ecouraging smile as you step out. It takes you no time to find Kellery, as Daisy is by her side, reading a book as the woman is working on her computer. "Ah, Jack. Can I help you?" "I'd just like to hear your take on things."

"Ah, well." She pulls out another one of those scramblers, a slightly different model this time. "Here's what I managed to piece together. The Origin Virus released in Seoul was a fall back measure. They couldn't cut every single comms channel, and I restored some of the data. A sizeable force was deployed, and fought their way into the compound. They met heavy resistance, but managed to reach what they were aiming for. Black Crown One. The thing is, I am sure something happened. I do not have the information to know exactly what, but something simply overloaded the satellites orbiting above the city with jibberish. The Origin Virus arrived two minutes later in a guided missile."

"Interesting. I have something else to ask. Could Daisy read the minds of people? Sniff out traitors?" The girl looks up from her book. "Aleks forbid me from it." Kellery rubs her eyes. "Yes. She does have the ability. But she lacks the finesse, the training to do so safely. The human mind is incapable of taking the stress that comes with it, and the enrvous system would simply shut down. I fear what the backlash of being in contact with a dying mind would do to her. It's not safe."

Daisy puts down her book, and hops off the stool she was sitting on. "But I can do other stuff! Like, feel the big ones, the Queens!" The two of you just stare at her for a moment. "What?" "I can feel them. They're really big and strong, but they're mean. They've been talking a lot since before yesterday. I try to stay away from them. But I can tell you where they are. Not the house, but, I think I can point at them on a map."

Oh God. Seoul was destroyed? That's a pritty fuckin big city. What did they do, nuke it to kill off the Origin Virus?
Shit, even if we were to end this civil war within the Wise within the 24 hours it could very well be too little too late. We're going to need to begin mobilisation of every military on the planet and produce enough weapons for them to effectively fight!?!

    >Is there anything else you can do?
I- I dunno. Is there? Wait. Idea.
We know exactly where that base we woke up in was right? We use our mind link with Cath and see if the can find the bases signature or whatever using her remote systems. We build up a profile on that base and then begin looking for identical sites. We cross reference those with ones the teams here know about and anything they dont know about are possible locations of the Fools. Even it's a rediculously huge number of bases we can narrow that down some way or another.

I've been thinking, We all know what we did with the Cat and tricked the soldiers in that base about. Could we actually help to 'enhance' some of the soldiers with bodysnatcher cells? I dont mean make them over powered or anywhere similar to us but every little bit could help as this conflict starts to get larger.

The thing is, this thread pretty much marks the point where I give up all hopes of balancing things. I present you with the situation, and all bets are off. Dying is a very, very real possibility.

So yeah, if it is consistent with what has been established and what I have jutted down, I'll allow it. Might as for some rolls, but I'll allow it.

"Okay hon, we're going to get you that map. Prof, could you print one out?" "Of course, it shouldn't take long." She storms off, and returns a little later with a series of maps varying in detail, and a box of thumbtacks. The girl frowns in concentration, and discards the smaller sheets, and soon you are looking at four cities marked, one in the USA, one in Germany, one in China and one in Russia. "I think Jacobs would like to see these." "Go ahead. We'll be here if you need us."

Holding the stack of papers, you step outside and shout to one of the guards. "Sir? Agent Jacobs is in -2-A." "Thank you, that will be all." Another quick ride in the elevator, and you stomp across the halls, finding Jacobs skimming a report. "You'll want to see this."

He frowns after you explain it to him. "And you are sure about this?" "Absolutely." "Well damn. We could turn the tides with this. I don't know how to approach this, though. They're all in major population centers. I can't just nuke the things, can I? Fine time for only Black Crown Three to be around. What about you? What do you think? You have the most field experience around here."
