    >There are no humans left on Earth. They wiped themselves out long ago when they developed the means to turn the dead into supersoldiers, to fight in their wars. They were successful in that, at least–there are no longer any wars. But violence still rages as mutants, mindless undead, and twisted Dolls roam the ruined world. Necromancers are those with the ability to twist the dead into any image they choose; they choose, for whatever reason, to create Dolls out of the carcasses of young girls, often twisting them and augmenting them with weapons, extra limbs, or grotesque bodies. These little girls contain a fragment of memory of their life, and have strong emotional bonds with those that they travel with. Which is good, because they’ll need each other to survive. They can’t die (again), but they can be torn to shreds.

    >The players take the part of these Dolls, and in addition to premade characters, are able to create a character from scratch. This involves choosing a combination of ‘types’, which determine how others see the Doll as well as what sort of fighting skills it will have. Players must also then determine what ‘parts’ to assemble their Doll with. You are literally creating this Doll from scratch. You can add a tail to your Doll’s torso to make it move faster, or shove spikes into its legs to have it do more damage. Chainsaws do tons of damage, and you can opt to equip a metal brainpan for more defense. During battle, everytime you take damage, you’ll lose these parts as they are torn off or blasted apart. After battle you can take the parts of fallen enemies to regenerate your lost parts.

So...you play as the undead little girl-doll...chop up other little girl-dolls, take their body parts, and make yourself stronger?

Sounds like the setting for a guro-horror movie set in the grim darkenest futuristicyness japanesiest city ever.

Outside of the shock value, its just a substitution of themes. Instead of a typical post apocalyptic scenario, its a world ravaged by mutants and ruled by the undead. Instead of a tribal, gang, or village leader, you're a necromancer. Instead of fellow survivors and mercenaries, you have Dolls. Instead of weapons and equipment, you have augmentations. Although there is no character death, there is character annihilation.

    >The dice system is very simple: roll a d10, if it’s 6 or higher, you succeed. During the “adventure part,” if you have a memory shard or a part that applies to the current situation, you can roll 2 dice and take the higher, but if you fail on both dice and roll a 1 on either, you fumble, destroying the part that was used in the roll. Combat uses an abstract map detailing range and is built on a move-point system somewhat similar to games like the original Fallout games. For example, a character might start off with 10 Move Points, which goes before anyone with 9 or less Move Points. Attacking might cost 3 Move Points, lowering the character to 7. Once initiative goes down the list to 7, the character will act again.

The abstract range and D10 system suspiciously remind me of 3:16 Carnage Amongst the Stars. It's probably a coincidence, but I can't help but imagine a bunch of horrific Frankenstein girls acting like Marcus Fenix and the Doom Marine.

below that, " 'Undead' The most common enemies in this game are undead. There are mutants and bugs too, but..."

"What!?" one of them says as she hears the voce

"You finally came, <INSERT GENERIC EVIL LAUGH>!", another familiar voice says.

"NC, is there anyone that the main characters know from the arena (the arena? I haven't heard anything about that before this, I must have missed something)"

er, that above line was someone asking a dev a question

    NC: Nope, no one

Ai: Then, some kind of memory from their previous life?

NC: No, it's a voice they've heard many times before

    tomari and ai: Then, who?

NC: If you see the faces of the two who spoke, you'll understand. Green short-cut hair, 14~15 years old.

    Tomari: Oh, could it be!

NC: Two undead with the same face as Tomari are standing in the middle of the room! They aren't mindless undead, but instead dolls with freedom just like you two! (as in the two player characters)"

Shinigami is a death god. Death Note which is essentially one of babies first anime / manga series.

This seems like a fairly interesting thing, shame I don't know anyone creepy enough IRL to play this with bar myself.

    "Tomari: Suddenly, impostors!

Ai:(quoting one of the characters, the one without the clones) "Tomari-chan, there are three of you!?" No... Tomari-chan is also a clone

"Too similar! What the hell are you!?"

It's scary, so the player and characters (as in the characters in game) can't help but think more...

bottom right of page 10 says something about the impostors showing up in chapter 2 or later"

Ah, you make me feel old. Death Note so new. I knew shinigami mostly because the term was used in Gundam Wing, so it went into weeaboo 101.

"Battle map: You fight exclusively on something called the battle map. It has five sections, and each one has a name. From the side of your ally, in turn (not sure on this part; don't understand it well...), they are called "Hope", "flower garden", "purgatory", "hell", and the last one the dictionary also says is hell
so I'm not sure what the difference between the two is"

Man, I really want to get a copy of this, but I don't know Japanese, I don't have a scanner and I wouldn't really want to razor the spine on it.
    >> Anonymous 09/25/11(Sun)03:52 No.16417933
Man, as much as I want to play this and know a decent amount of Japanese, the kanji in rpgs make translation such a huge pain in the ass.

How do you order shit from Japan? Do you just fill out the form as normal? How do you pay?
    >> Anonymous 09/25/11(Sun)04:03 No.16417999
Amazon Japan functions pretty much exactly like the English versions.

    Link to the game:

Looks like the link fucked up, Copy both lines into the address bar.

As to paying, I've just put in my Visa debit card info in and they've deducted the correct amount in USD from my account.

So the Japanese have written a Prison Pit Rpg for us?

I mean almost. It probably lacks rules for the size change that's so prominent in the comic.

    Alright, cool.
I might be getting some disposable income in soon (major poorfag here). If nobody else has already done it, I'll seriously consider dropping my $32 on this. See if I can find someone to translate it.
    >> Anonymous 09/25/11(Sun)04:11 No.16418034

Yeah, I ordered my Macademi Wasshoi book from there and had it ship to the US with no problems. However, shipping was like $35 for an $8 that could fit into a large pocket.

Well, I'm going to piss off to bed.
I'll be on the lookout for more threads regarding this game, though. And I'll order in a copy of the book if the opportunity presents itself

    Night, 4chan!
