You are Seymon Rivers, one of the many bastard sons produced by Lord Walder Frey. You have recently been "volunteered" to join the esteemed and venerable brotherhood of the Night's Watch after a brief yet enjoyable dalliance with one of your father's younger brides was unfortunately made public.

You are three days north of the Wall on your first ranging when you are rudely awakened in the middle of the night by the whinnying of horses. You should be sharing your tent with two other newly sworn brothers; Cressius (a scrawny young Lannister bastard with rotten teeth) and Andhun (a middle aged Dornishman with an enviably thick mustache), but they are gone. There's one other tent on the other side of the firepit where Osric the Ranger (the leader of your party), should be sleeping. Your horses are tied up about fifty yards from your camp.

You slept with your sword by your bedroll, but your armor and shield are outside your tent, by the firepit.

    What do you do?

You can see your leather armor hanging from a tree branch, drying off the day's rain by the fire; your mail shirt and shield piled on you pack beside it.

There is no sign of Cressius and Andhun, but you can hear sounds of a struggle coming from Osric's tent.

You don't see anyone around as you slip out of the tent, but you hear a muffled scream and a few wet-sounding thumps from the direction of Osric's tent.

There are a half-dozen different footprints in the dirt around your campsite, many of them unfamiliar to you.

The horses are gone, though you can clearly see hoofprints in the dirt leading away from the camp.

As you struggle into your still slightly-damp leather armor, you see a fur-clad wildling leave the Ranger's tent with a bloody axe, breathing hard and wiping a spatter of blood from his cheek.

He seems surprised to see you awake, but not so surprised he can't fling his axe at you.

    He throws red as well.

Since both of us went red, we first both declare our attack, then work out who goes first with a contested Reflex roll. If you lose you can buy initiative, so it's always a good idea to save back a few dice to buy it - buying initiative costs your opponent's Perception in dice.

    http://knight.burrowowl.net/doku.php?id=rules:terrain

Here's an overview. Basically, you take out of your CP however many dice you want for a terrain roll and roll them against a TN. Beating both of your attackers means you get to choose which of them you fight. Losing to both means you have to fight both. Losing to one means that one gets to choose whether he fights you or not.

I would highly advise you to put aside 3 CP for a terrain roll at an utter minimum. Fighting 2 guys at once in RoS is not fun.
