We must deploy an expedition to Mount Fraen immediately!
Thank the Dinotian Emperor for his assistance, and suggest he invest in a tablecloth.

I suggest we deploy a thunderhawk loaded with marines to scout the area, with at least two techmarines and a chaplain.

I don’t want to steal all the decision making from the others, so for now, have one techmarine oversee construction of a initiate training outpost in a suitable location on the mountain side. A sky arena would be fine. Those who see themselves as worthy of becoming a marine would have to climb up the mountain alone or in teams and then engage in ritual combat in the arena to determine who is best. The construction should conceal the tunnelling efforts.

Obviously, avalanches, rockslides and tunnel collapse have to be assessed by a techmarine. The other marines are to serve as scouts for debris left from the craft.

Neither of these planets has sufficient surplus to feed Tyr until it stands up on it's feet. Heidrun is devastated from war and alwats had twice smaller population than Tyr and Nordgrim has just over 200 million medieval population that cares only about how to live through next winter.

depends on what do you mean by outpost. Just asking the emperor to give you few buildings or even a stone castle is no big deal, but fortifications, AA or orbital defences cost a lot. Explain me what you want and i will tell you the cost :)

Hold on to the Warbikes STC, consider trading/selling the increesed production STC to Oynx in exchange for big favors/wealth.

We should consider doing something about Tyr before too long. Is there anyone closer who might be able to help them?
    >> Tactical Marine !dZX2eRS9eM 01/21/12(Sat)11:58 No.17619242

We should not trade anything with Onyx. They are implicated in the dissapearance of the 3rd company. Added to the fact they have been employed by us to search for the 3rd company. This doesnt bode well.

We should look to creating a marine manufactorum when we establish our monastery. To replace the over-dependence on Onyx and anyone ellse.

I think it is best we have our techmarines continue to study the STC and the crash site in secret untill we can decide how to use them at a later date. When we can build a manufactorum.

But what to do about the people of Nordgrim? I say we invest some wealth in modernising them.

I think it would be in our best interest to hold onto both modules. We may reap a large profit on selling them, but the long term benefit of our chapters independence of outside aid will out-weigh any price. Especially considering Onynx's potential untrustworthiness...

As to Tyr, 200W is too huge a bounty to pass up, especially in helping other Imperials. Have our last two free escorts begin a course Stygia to retrieve aid.

Also, how much would it cost to establish an autonomous AA defense system around the planet?
    >> Skargan !eJl3QEhBK6 01/21/12(Sat)12:13 No.17619351
200W is not YOUR reward, but money that should be used to buy food, to clarify it.

Equilibrium and Momentum depart for Tyr, commanded by Cessarius. He requests 30 marines, 2 techmarines and 2 apothecaries, just to be safe. Do you agree?

AA(landing shuttles and planes) is not the same as AO(ships). Establishing anti-invasion planet-wide rocket turrets on most of the mountains would cost about 500W. However into this package would also come in bunkers, millions of miles of razor wire, booby traps in landing-suitable zones, etc. Anti-Orbital guns would cost even more, and need a friendly forge world, as you will need to import engineers and maintainance personnel. One of the cheaper ways to provide protection against pirates would be orbital defence station(100W)

    >> Tactical Marine !dZX2eRS9eM 01/21/12(Sat)12:30 No.17619462
    Suggested Deployment:
    - Equilibrium and momentum are to join task force alpha and then go onto this new sector.
    - The ‘eternity’ is to continue repairs and act as task force shield
    - Task force lantern is close enough to aid task force shield
    - 1 techmarine and attendant staff is to stay and continue excavating the crash site on nordgrim. They are to lodge with the training outpost nearby.

We should move all the trained initiates to task force alpha before we move on to the agri-world. We should see about financing them into second generation marines.

Also, move the requested personnel to cessarius.

Tell them to draw in ink, the Imperial Aquila (give them a depiction of it if they are not familiar with it), and teach them to then recite the Imperial Creed (in High Gothic) while burning a sacred oil which we will give them (If we have any on us, otherwise just mechanical lubricant). Then have them preform the rituals to use the machine. Simple enough, but still mysterious, and hopefully reinforce whatever hold the Imperial cult and culture holds.

Also, i dont want to recruit from Tyr. Especially as we have initiates from salvation which may be exact justified revenge and act as rivals.

We should only recruit from worlds that have been proven worthy.
Salvation had to resist chaos, survive drugs and fight tyr guardsmen.
Nordgrim naturally produces good fighters and witch hunters as it is feudal. In addition, they have to climb a mountain to get to the training arena.

Only humans that are loyal to the emperor and come from something like a deathworld are suitable enough.

Heresy indicates the level of deviation from your purpose/duties as seen from the point of view of your superiors and Imperium as a whole. True corruption within your ranks is a lot harder to spot and I chose not to represent it in stats(at least for now), Pic related, breaking these brings corruption.

@Anon who complained about getting Heresy for bombing Delirium stockpiles:
You are confused. Heresy is because your actions led to deaths of 600 000 million imperial citizens, that is - workers, who pay taxes. Less taxes - lesser tithe. Lesser tithe - High Lords are not happy. Drug addiction is not encouraged in Imperium, but it is tolerated as long as taxes are paid and things with claws and tentacles don't fascinate you. In short - in HLoT opinion your actions brought more destruction to wider Imperium than the benefit. As you are Astartes, it is tolerated, but if you will go and purge 10 worlds in a row because of semi-legitimate reasons, someone will be sent to deal with you.

Unfortunately good PR campaign has more chances to clear this corruption than a chaplain.

You are right if it would be so that you found THE STC, full working knowledge of all humanity. However minor STC's are found quite oftenly(that is in Imperial scales) and most of the forge worlds have their own, unique patterns that they keep secret even from the rest of mechanicus. The dark eldar ship must be hidden. If we dissable its cloak the other ships will be able to find it and us. Also, we need to find a way to stop them tampering with the warp-thread we were fallowing.

    Secondary objective:
As soon as the eldar lead that their boardin has failed they will probably flee. But until that happens we stand a chance of getting this eldar ship to fire on them.

Your quick thinking is the only thing that saved you life - all of a sudden two Dark Eldar appeared both in front and behind you. With inhuman strength frontal one punches through your breastplate and black carapace, right into Secondary Heart... You grab him and twist his neck 180 degrees, but the other one grabs your Halbeard and chops off your left arm below shoulder. Ogryn immediately turns around. He roars, ripping out stiches that were holding his lips and with great fury and anger strikes down xeno who would dare to harm his brother in this valley of shadow of death.

Wake up the Navigator, see if he knows how to get us off this shit hole.

Then hit random buttons on consoles until the ship begins exploding. FUCK DARK ELDAR.

Nostradamus claims that he sees nothing. However he is very weak, as his frail physique is a lot less suited to whistand sudden teleportations. Also, it seems that Dark Eldar tried to inject him some kind of sedative, but managed to release only a drop or two before you intervened. Probably they thought such slave would be worth a lot.

Your arm is unfortunately lost. Hypocrates says that he could grow you a replacement in a few years, or you can just get a bionic.

Problem with this method would be, that was designed to teleport willing subjects. there is no way ork or whoever else will want to follow your idea. And if you will bring them to teleporter chained - they will be teleported chained and it's the same as killing them, not worth the effort.

On heresy note... it would be about 5, where 1 is blaspheming against the Emperor's divinity and 10 - attacking other Imperials just for fun/profit.
