So I was wrong. Looks like you get to play today as well.

Last time, we officially joined the Federation army and HOLY SHIT PROTOTYPE GUNDAM!

But now you're Robin Diez again so fuck that noise.

You unlock the door with the codebreaker, sneaking out. Looks like you have another chance to escape again. You should make it count this time. The hangar is probably being guarded again, though.

So he's a Newtype with a focus on talking to one "dead person". Like if Lalah kept bothering Char, or if he could keep bothering her.

It's more savory for a hero than dealing with something like the EXAM system, or other things that give you an OS for the mobile suit that's basically a tortured Newtype soul.

    Reposting relevant section...

Now, you have this nice MA, this Elmeth. Eventually, though, it’s going to get damaged, or outclassed, or SOMETHING. You’ll want to make it better, won’t you? That’s where the Upgrade Tree System comes in. After 5 victories, you’ll gain an upgrade point for your MA, whatever it may be. You can put that into Thrust, Armor, Output, or Weapons. After 3 Upgrade points have been put on, depending on where you placed them, you’ll be able to upgrade the MA to a new model!

We've already put one upgrade point into the Elmeth's weapons. One of the ideas that was brought up in the last thread was turning the Elmeth into a support system for the prototype Gundam, so the pilot could use the bits if they were a newtype.

I think we need to know specifics about what we can do with the points.

    >>17808757
What this means is this: After 3 Upgrade points are made, you can choose to research an upgrade. This will make a plan, that will involve the researched machine. You do not HAVE to make the plan when you get the three, and if you want to combine machines, or make one designed to support another, you'll have to make a combined plan. For example, if you want to turn the Elmeth into a Gundam Support Craft, you'll need to be able to upgrade the Gundam at the same time.

    Questions!

    1. What does the Output upgrade do?
    2. What would we get for upgrading Weapons three times?
    3. What kind of plan could we research right now?
    4. If we got three points for the Gundam, and chose to make a combined plan to turn the Elmeth into a Support unit, would it be able to work with other Gundams or just the prototype?
    5. Do we have to spend three points to make a plan, or just have three points?

Let me answer those one at a time.
    1. Output allows you to use limited-use weapons more. An output upgrade on the Elmeth would allow you to use the Bit Control System 2 more times.
    2. Upgrading weapons would either get you Megaparticle Cannons, or more powerful bits, as per the table below.
    3. Right now we could upgrade it to Elmeth (Adapt Ver.), as seen in the related picture.
    4. The support unit would work with any Gundam-Type.
    5. You just have to have them, not spend them.

It's faster, more durable, and carries 16 bits in all. In addition, because of improvements in technology, you'd be able to use 14 of those bits.

The Prorotype Qubeley is also an option, and a good potential choice. However, because of how complicated it is, and the fact that it is only around the middle of the One Year War, you would require 6 Upgrade Points set to it.
    >> Anonymous 02/05/12(Sun)00:09 No.17810732
    >>17810694
For the time being, I think we should go with one point to Output and two to Weapons, both for the bits.

I'm assuming upgrade points can be gained for a unit regardless of who uses it, so we just have to have Burning sortie a few times in the Gundam so we can create the Support plan.

Diez laughs out loud. "I like you, girl. What's your name?"

    "Shannon O'Clay."

"Well, Shannon O'Clay, looks like you've got yourself a squadmate. As a show of good faith, let me design something neat for you."

Upgrade it to this! Elmeth as a mobile suit. No need to screw around with fancy newtype funnels that may not even exist yet. You canstill kick more ass by having limbs for proper AMBAC, melee and hand-held weapons.

The Zanny plans were added to your inventory when Diez joined. The E-Pac blueprint is a gift from Diez, for getting a critical convince. It's ammo for the Gundam's Beam Rifle.

Neat. Let's get Diez's situation squared away with the captain, then check out what Tholfe left for us.

Heading up to the bridge, you tell the captain about Diez switching sides.

"Interesting," she says, a bemused look on her face. "We'll put him around on a trial notice, just in case. Good job, Sub-Lieutenant. I'm impressed." You salute politely, and leave, going back to your room to see what you got!

How good of a pilot is Diez? We might want to put him in the 78-1 if he can keep up with it.

You do so. Your Megaparticle Guns now do 14 damage, and your bits do up to 6 each.

And seriously, this is all luck. You guys are doing better than I could have imagined.
    >>17811234
Diez is a fantastic pilot. His stats aren't much worse than Burning's, and Burning's an ace, while he's a rookie.

And that luck could evaporate in a moment. Let's appreciate it while we've got it, because the dice gods do not bless quests often.

And they had him in an Oggo? What the hell, Zeon.

If we're close to docking, find a place to watch the approach to Luna II. There's not much else to do at the moment.
