Maybe time manipulation is the reason why we crash too often - out future self is drawing on our power to do awesome things, which means our MAJAIK supply is being split at least two ways, maybe thousands.
If we push ourselves, that overloads the system and causes it to crash.

Since the TARDIS is independent from space-time, our future time manipulation couldn't get to our magic supply and the tests in the TARDIS all came back normal.
