Guize i put this together, however i'm not creative enough to turn it into an actual game.. can u guys think of something fun we can all play and maybe add to this, maybe like a backstory and plot? also i cant think of any boards that corresponds to Rogues and Paladin. halp? and please also give the reason on why they match..

    >> Anonymous 02/20/12(Mon)07:13 No.18025763
    Basic /tg/ courtesy.
Use proper words, not stuff like "u" and "Guize". Don't use emoticons.
It's a slow board, wait a few minutes before bumping.
Otherwise the next guy might insult you instead of giving advice. Might also be the reason why people seem to ignore it in the first place.

/tg/ as Ranger? I don't buy it. If anything, we're bards (probably the biggest storytime board around) or Paladin (we love ourselves some grand tales of heroism and sacrifice).

As to who could be Ranger instead? Well, /an/ is already beastmaster, so... Maybe make /diy/ the ranger and /g/ or /k/ the weaponsmith.
If anything, /diy/ is more of an artificer, anyway.

Clearly, this is a spot for /m/.

Yeah. We love to imagine ourselves as one of the smarter and more educated boards. How much of it is true varies, though.

No worries, you're new and it's understandable.

    /v/ as Rogue
    and /trv/ as Ranger

/co/'s storytimes are far more prevalent because of their nature. We obviously have a few bard levels, though, and prefer campside fire legends about the farmer that outsmarted Asmodeus and Boxcar Joe the Magic Hobo compared to their fare.

/a/ - Book of weeaboo fightan magic. Swordsage probably. /jp/ cannot be described as samurai, they are mostly touhou, visual novels, and autisim. Closer to a Hermit mage.

old /b/ - BBEG. Not a single entity, but a self replicating army of shapeshifters with a single hive mind. They are an army of thousands, and they could be the baker, the town guard, the mayor, your wife, anyone. The PCs discover this, and no matter how much they tell people no one believes them. They must seek out an ancient hammer of legend, said to be forged by the moot, oldest and greatest of the long forgotten gods. Only with this can they defeat The Legion.

/d/ - Shapeshifter. Or or sorcerer specialised in /d/ related spells

    /e/ + /s/ - princesses.

/g/ - Artificer. /m/ is warforged. Together they fight crime.

/k/ - Could be many classes. I like ranger though. Grizzled war veteren by default. Complains and mumbles constantly.

/v/ - frenzied berseker. no question.

/r9k/ - warforged paladin. speech issues as above due to faulty programming / mechanisms.

/adv/ - sage. Gives bad advice constantly, especially when not asked.

    /an/ - druid / beastmaster. /vp/ is summoner.

/co/ - paladin. Not fully accurate, but closest fitting.

    /diy/ - artificier.

/fit/ - Monk. Perfection of the body etc.

    /lit/ - Lorekeeper / sage is fine.

/mu/ - bard by default. Focuses on music. /tg/ is also bard, focusing on stories and legends ala skald.

Both /v/ and /co/ like good storytelling, /v/ to the point where if the game has a shitty cliched plot, they go apeshit and use it as a springboard for attacking every flaw in the game. /co/ is self-explanatory. Both are equally capable of creating good storylines like /tg/, although /v/ would probably have a hundred satirical/stupid entries before coming up with a serious plot.
    >Lore of games we play
Pretty much any board dedicated to some form of entertainment likes learning more about the backstory and lore of their interests.
    >Quest Threads
/a/ has both serious and comedic quest threads. But I'll give the edge to /tg/ on this.

Anyways, the point of this is that no one board gets to be the board that rules over everyone else, but that each one has a role to play within the story (and not outside of it, if someone wants to argue that the GM is a role). Making /tg/ the ULTIMATE CONTROLLER OF EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE just reeks of favoritism on the same level as making /b/ the final boss.

I would prefer to see moot or a mod to take DM role, but if you like. I just felt like we should have a playble option. Taking into account the minmaxing strategising and the roleplaying, perhaps a cleric with domains in strategy and acting. A fat, neckbearded cleric, a little obnoxious and opinionated, but with endless strategic ideas and always quotes or retells legends with great gusto. Firmly believes his religion is the best religion, and the only one that gets shit done.

Interesting. The Rogue implication still works since 'Rogues do it from behind'. Something more Charisma based perhaps. Bard could actually work, since they are the stereotypical seducers. Their voice is their weapon both figuratively and literally. Using songs to charm people, then tie them up or something. Alternatively an enchantment based sorcerer would also work well.

    >Calls anyone with armor casuals
I laughed my sides off ha ha ha

samurai should go to /Jp/, /a/ gets Wizard.
    >> Anonymous 02/20/12(Mon)14:45 No.18029031
no, /a/ get anything you can roll with the marysue generator on sup/tg/
    >> Anonymous 02/20/12(Mon)14:47 No.18029049
/jp/ should get a magical girl instead.

    This image needs /sp/.

What is the most bro-tier class in existence? They get that class.
    >> Anonymous 02/20/12(Mon)14:50 No.18029082

you've never actually been to /jp/, have you?
    >> Anonymous 02/20/12(Mon)14:50 No.18029084
Rangers and Rogues get along pretty well...

    /sp/ could be a Rogue.
    >> Anonymous 02/20/12(Mon)14:52 No.18029101
    >/fit/ Self obsessed monk.

    more like homosex monk
    >> Anonymous 02/20/12(Mon)14:52 No.18029104
    I'm okay with this.
    >> Funky Solar/Marine 02/20/12(Mon)14:52 No.18029110
    wheren't we paladins?
I call for an unnarmer paladin warrior of justice.
    >> Power Gauntlet 02/20/12(Mon)15:19 No.18029374
    /a/ - swordsage
    /lit/ or /rs/ - archivist
    /d/ - summoner or transmuter
    /po/ or /tv/ - illusionist
    /co/ - binder
    >> Anonymous 02/20/12(Mon)15:24 No.18029430

and heeeeeere we go. Pay attention to the thread. /a/ gets a class out of the Book of Nine Swords, because non-shitposters on /tg/ are trying to classify boards based on both their positive and negative traits, not just herping and derping about boards they personally don't like.
    >> Anonymous 02/20/12(Mon)15:25 No.18029441
/tg/ is like dragon, we will mate with everything possible (hopefully even dragons).
So /tg/ is most likely bard.
    >> Anonymous 02/20/12(Mon)15:27 No.18029463
/co/ should be a paladin, because that's what they aspire to be.. even if it never works out.

Also the moralfag worship. For all the trolling and bullshit when something truly reprehensible does go down 95% of /co/ comes together.
    >> Anonymous 02/20/12(Mon)15:27 No.18029467
    Gah, my post vanished

Anyway, a pira/t/e and /r/ogue duo who work as merchants, getting specific shit for specific people.

Morality and legality are not issues...
Mental note: include as NPCs in next campaign.
