Here. Internet troubles slowed me down. Will update with what you have in a few, but quest is on. Turn 7 is imminent.

    Assets:
Your current assets, aside from your brute strength are:
-Rodrom, Level 1 Capital City (Walled Fortress)
    -Liam, Level 1 Weirdomancer
    -Shang-Low-Bill, Level 1 Foolomancer
    -Halston Flowers, Level 1 Date-a-Mancer
    -Argent Smythe, Level 1 Lookamancer
    -Countess Whisper, Level 1 Warlord
    -Abigail, Level 5 Demon Chieftain
    -7 Demon Legates
    -30 Bwisps
    -8 Wight-Foots
    -A Cwocodil
-3 Captured Wagons seemingly powered by Stuffamancy
    -18 Pikers
    -8 Archers
    -8 Slashers
    -10 Sappers

    Build Queue:
    -Warlord (Due turn 11)

It is your Turn 7. Liam claims he has used magic to "solve the problem" of the nearby Hobgobwin. You do not know if this is the case or not, but have few other options.

    Your move, King Frank.

I don't suppose the Hellfire Skirmishers could catch him this turn? Do we have anything else that can fly?

They have less move than Gwiffons... and there are four Gwiffons and a Megalogwiff nearby.

Goodies! I have been waiting for this all day.
    I have a few questions:
How many units can a general boost? All of them in their stack, as many stacks as they are fighting with? Or some other number?

Also: How fast is the sapper dig power? Can you put a sapper on a mount and make it dig tunnels faster?

The answers to these will influence formation strategies I have been pondering.

OK I have a plan: It is a very convoluted plan that requires many tricks.

We need to send out the daeamons to turn the Gwiffons and Megalogwiff. We also need to send Whisper, or our self, piggy-backed on this unit (using the cwoc with juced up extra move as an interim mount).

Then switch mounts to the griffs, and use the griffs to capture the hobb.

We should consult our date guy to see who will have the best luck with this plan.
    >> The Titan's Mandate !6CrZ543I4I 02/24/12(Fri)21:42 No.18087434
    >>18087375

    >How many units can a general boost? All of them in their stack, as many stacks as they are fighting with? Or some other number?

Warlords, or any other unit with a leadership bonus, provide their full bonus to all units in their stack. Chief Warlords give their stack their full bonus, any unit in their battle space roughly a 30% of their bonus, and any unit in their Hex but not in their stack 50% of their bonus.

    >How fast is the sapper dig power? Can you put a sapper on a mount and make it dig tunnels faster?

Sappers dig at a variable rate. They can dig tunnels through approximately one hex per turn unless they have more manpower. If the mount has dig as well they can dig faster because that's additional manpower.

Honestly? Anything endeavor you can set up, "buildings" are just popping structures to go along with them that sometimes translate to a mechanical benefit. You don't quite have room for something like a stables for mounts to pop yet, but you will on level 3. When that's built you can arrange for them to pop there.

You see, the idea is that you let the enemy fall into a pit and stab them from relative safety.

This causes confusion and takes out entrenched targets on the battlefield behind the font lines, while putting a great combat unit in an optimal position for a pincer attack.

Wight-Foots are ok and all, but they aren't the best combat option we have. Hell, they aren't even the best scout option we have. I'm thinking they are better used for sabotage/spy missions than anything else.

the best thing we have is the swamp. All units spawned at Rodrom are swamp capable. Enemy units aside from flyers aren't. Wight-foots can hide as a stack, a hole isn't hidden and defiantly not offensive. Wights can be offensive and get the jump on the enemy and are more mobile than a unit stuck in a hole costing us upkeep. A dirtamancer would be very nice.

That's why you don't dig the hole until you see the enemy.

Sappers can dig as far as they have manpower, give them a stack or two and they can easily get 10 hexes a turn. In two turns or so we can have several stacks of pikemen (our best mass combat unit) right where we want them without expending juice, and without the enemy seeing what we are doing. With juice, this becomes absolute murder, of course.

As his mount looks up surprised, you switch the veil around, revealing yourselves in the livery of the side wearing white and gold, and the archers sticking out of the side of your Megalogwiff knock arrows with clear meaning. You pop a pair of cuffs on your prisoner, a chain on the Gwiffon, and this likely represents the end of your turn unless you have production to set.
