    Aw shit.

    TG QUEST!!!!

    Last Thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/18385365/

    Engineering list: http://pastebin.com/7hTAHGyg
    The Summary: http://pastebin.com/3ATuVKRQ
    Inventory/Forces: http://pastebin.com/HGsJUZZb

Short Summary: You have successfully dealt with all of Dr. Grimm's manipulations to catapult the 8-bit dystopia into a hopeless wasteland so far. You have dealt with the mega-corporations that rule here, you have destroyed the 'gifts' of Dr. Grimm, and you foiled the premature attempt at ending Dr. Light's life. With everything seemingly accounted for, you now have just one foe left to face on this world.

The corrupted and bloated form of Dr. Grimm himself.

What's the status of Wily's forces, specifically WilyCorp HQ.

We have destroyed the Imperial dataslate and the upgraded Robot Masters and their minions, but the designs are still in Wily's network, and probably still in his head.

Don't we still need to wipe those plans and erase Wily's memory?
    >> Potential Writefag 03/23/12(Fri)20:28 No.18434169
    Yay, MetaQuest!

    Forget these haters, man.

Now, as I recall, the plan was to use the giant flying drill-ship we have to bore straight to the bastard. This seems like a nice, simple plan.. I know others are lurking to provide more details and help devise a safe path to get our stuff there and going safely.

On a personal note, how long does our current research topics have left to go? I've lost track of the day counter over the last few threads. Also, how's the creation engine's resource-gathering coming along?

Also, this. Mouse should be able to get the stuff on Wily's computer, but we're still gonna have to give Wily a dose of memory erasure. Any of our Aurors feeling brave?
    >> Anonymous 03/23/12(Fri)20:31 No.18434183
    >but we're still gonna have to give Wily a dose of memory erasure
Maybe we don't have to bother with Dr. Wily.
Unless he has eidetic memory, he can't remember every detail that went into the upgrades; the technology would have been too advanced for him to replicate it without notes. And since we destroyed his dataslate, and we're about to wipe the schematics, we may be okay.
    >> Anonymous 03/23/12(Fri)20:34 No.18434211
    overreaction much?

hmmm...Bowser and Falco haven't been Holtz'd. Are they red herrings? have the farseers do some scrying, just to make sure. Also, we got any analysis back from our scrying on Grimm? We identified the figures in the chamber?

We were planning to swipe their database for operation robo/tg/guy.
    >> MetaQuest OP 03/23/12(Fri)20:37 No.18434229
The farseers state that their relevance has faded.

ANON: Though he might manage to remember a thing or two that may lead to an upgrade here or there, what Dr. Wily remembers shouldn't be enough to cause a dangerous disturbance. Wiping the plans for them from the network may be a good idea, but they won't be able to use them to build more Robot Masters for a while. The most immediate threat now is Dr. Grimm, though as always it is your call.

There are plenty of resources to salvage, so the creation engine is getting nice, full tanks. Your scientists completed the research on the Ebon Lance of Longinus a few hours ago, and your engineering team has completed the squad's worth of reality disruptor rifles, but then the bay blew up.

Let's see what the research into the Ebon Lance has yielded.

Also, we should probably be prepared to fight off a giant spider that can move as fast as greased lightning. Like that one from "Zombies Ate My Neighbors", but WH40k-ified.

Even if he only remembers a little, the things he does manage to piece together from that would give him a clear advantage, I strongly vote to mindwipe anyone who worked with metacontaminants. The only exceptions to this i can think of are people we are taking with us.
Have we done enough damage to Robotnik? We don't want him getting too powerful from the devastation we've caused Metpharm and Wilycorp.
Did we make sure to get any backups Metpharn and Robotnik had?
We should probably also check what Light's managed to reverse engineer, and try to get copies of his designs and production equiptment.
We should also loot all the tech we can while we're here.

Ebon Lance of Longinus: This weapon is composed of an unknown substance fused with a material that appears to exist on several planes of reality simultaneously. The consequences of this is that it can both extend past and break most known forcefields, and is capable of hurting entities that, like it, dwell in several dimensions simultaneously. Other properties include an ability to change its mass and shape to fit any unit from infantry scale up to mecha scale. It seems to have a sort of will comparable to that of a weapons guidance AI, and appears to be nominally 'alive'. The makeup of this artifact seems to be markedly different than what our database suggests for "normal" Lances, however we have made several strides in replicating the item on a lesser scale.

Offensive Reality Emitters+ Ebon Lance of Longinus unlocks Transpace Lances for research.

    >Even if he only remembers a little, the things he does manage to piece together from that would give him a clear advantage
Normally I'd agree, however the Canon is pretty much close to its end. I don't think Wily will be able to implement enough upgrades fast enough to fend off the inevitable. He'll be like Nazi Germany with their jets or Imperial Japan with their damn submarines.

MetPharm, we collapsed half of their building, so I think we did enough there.

Robotnik is dealing with a homicidal Sonic, so I think he's got enough problems, especially since we sabotaged Metal Sonic so he's not ready.
    >> MetaQuest OP 03/23/12(Fri)20:48 No.18434307
The Storm is detecting multiple explosions from all around RoboDyne HQ as a titanic struggle is waged within. Occasionally onlookers get brief flashes of a blue blur weaving in and out of the mammoth structure.
    >> Potential Writefag 03/23/12(Fri)20:48 No.18434312
Ah, right. That was the part I was forgetting. Thank you.

Data; while Mouse is performing the hacker equivalent of chainsword-based-dismemberment to Wily's data on 40k-grade tech; could you please coordinate with ANON and get these permits and such up and running?

We should have done enough to Robotnik that Sonic can take it from here, and MetPharm only had the Stones. That's mystical goddess voodoo there, so I highly doubt they can replicate it at all.

We should be in the clear. Prep the ship for imminent drill action. Load some KI, SCP, UNIT, the Prawns, and X-COM vets and psychics onto said ship and be prepared to move out.

We should bring along a big group of drones, HK-50, and Securitron. They can act as meatshields.

And don't forget BLU Team, since they can respawn.

Now, guys, we have 40% of our scientists now freed up: what project should we have them work on?
I'm voting for Federation EMH Mobile Emitter for Creation Engine Production.
    >> Anonymous 03/23/12(Fri)20:58 No.18434391
Let's have ANON scan the City for a network node that we can tap into. We can then send down Mouse and the Sandmen, with HK-50 and a Securitron escort, to suborn the node and create our shell mining company by hacking into government databases.

We should keep an eye on Robotnik and light's facilities, so that if the teleport interdiction goes offline we can loot anything that isn't destroyed. (Computers, manufacturing facilities, ect).
We should limit our looting so that everything we might need for grimm goes to dealing with grimm, but if we have spare teleporter time or spare troops we should have them loot what they can.

*positively evil cackle* Oh, we're gonna have fun with this.

Yeah. Let's add these guys as well. My vote goes to Small Meta Ships because that (last i checked) will also give us Meta Transit Drive.

I'm seeing a total ratio (once the other projects finish up) being 75% on Meta Ships, and 25% on the Voiceless Spear. I wanna know what this baby does.

    >75% on Meta Ships, and 25% on the Voiceless Spear.
40% just freed up, so we could put 25% on the Voiceless Spear right now.
The remaining 15% could go to Small Meta Ships. But there's Advanced Aglaophotis to consider, and the Transpace Lances.
And all of the upgrades for the Creation Engine Database, and adapting the Antaeus deflector shields to work on other vehicles and on power armor troops, as well.

What about the Nameless Blade? We've had that thing for a long time, and we still have no idea what its powers are.

How about 25% into the Voiceless Spear and 15% into the Nameless Blade?

Or even better yet: Don't our Abjurers know the spell Identify? Aren't these magic weapons? Why haven't we used Identify on them yet?

You are able to rally your forces and send them on the small mission with minimal effort...

    15%=Voiceless Spear
    20%=Small Meta Ships
    25%=Nameless Blade
    30%= Transpace Lances

Say OP, what happened to the S2 engine and blue crystal research?
    >> Anonymous 03/23/12(Fri)21:20 No.18434623
I disagree. We can probably identify the Nameless Blade and the Voiceless Spear using Identify spells, without using scientists.

MetaOP, is there any advantage to having scientists research the weapons rather than just identifying them?

My plan instead, is to drill around enough to annoy Grimm so hard, he climbs up onto the planet surface instead.

If we fight Grimm underground, he has the advantage of terrain (cave, as in CAVE-INS, and he knows his lair well so he can maneuver easily) and hostages.

We could strike a deal with Koopa and the four Gauntlet heroes in case shit goes south.

    Possible research topics:
    Creation Engine Mobile Emitters
(Incursion tech, EMHes are both based on these)
    Incursion Tech
    Blue Crystal
    S2 Engine
Nameless Blade & Voiceless Spear (can't we just identify them?)
    Small Meta Ships
    Transpace Lances
Possibly combining Healing magic with Healing nanotech to create Healing Magitek.

    I vote:
Finish up the S2 engine and Blue crystals.
    Research Creation Engine mobile emitters.
We'll need Incursion tech, to disguise our stuff.
Don't bother with Small meta ships; they require components we don't have.
Just cast Identify on the Blade and Spear. If we can't do that now, we'll be getting a box-o-useful-items including a Nethack spellbook of Identify when we get back to base, and we can do it then.

We could have Agrias on the Mikasa with Cheryl, for backup Geomancy.
That way we have a drill, the absolute 0 cannon, and backup geomancy if anything goes wrong.
Of course, Teleport beacons on Cheryl, Agrias, and as much of the Mikasa's high-ranking crew as possible, to teleport them out if they're in trouble.
Come to think of it, we have Abjurers and Aurors.
Can they cast Flame-freezing charms or Protection from Fire on the Mikasa?
The White Mages might also cast Wall on the Mikasa.
Between that stuff, we SHOULD be able to get through the liquid hot magma.

    >> Anonymous 03/23/12(Fri)21:33 No.18434756
Mapper - Star Trek tricorder with attached exographic targeting scanner. Allows for mapping of the surrounding area, with up-to-the-second updating on people, where they're facing, what equipment they carry, even their heart rate. May be possible to detect ghosts via a modulating sensor sweep. Output can be fed to any imaging device.

It basically lets you see through walls, identify targets, what weapons they carry, their current health, and auto-maps so that troops always know where they are and where to go.

Emergency Beam-Out Cortical Stack - An implantable device that combines Federation emergency beam-out circuitry, Soulcatcher imminent-death detection heuristics, and the Eclipse Phase cortical stack. Allows for a cortical stack to automatically be beamed back to the Oncoming Storm if death will result in the cortical stack becoming unrecoverable.

Economizers - Makes all spells cost 1 MP.
    Ethers - Restore Mana.
Nethack Holy water - Blesses items, which typically makes them work better. It can also bless a larger quantity of water, for infinite holy water.
Nethack Book of Identify - allows you to fully identify even mundane objects.
Possibly also: Nethack Spellbooks of Detect Monsters, Detect Treasure, Detect Unseen (traps), and Magic Mapping.
Warsong Battle Drums - Increases the attack damage of nearby friendly units by 10% when worn.
Staff of Negation - Spammable AoE dispel. also hurts summons.

The Voiceless Spear does as its name suggests. It steals the voice of the being it is currently fighting. This effect can be resisted, but it is difficult to do so. The Spear gains a temporary power boost whenever it steals a voice. When it steals enough voices in a given time span it can unleash a deadly wail that acts similar to the spell Wail of the Banshee, killing all foes that fail to resist its power around the wielder. The Spear is also a potent magical weapon, being incredibly durable and sharp.

The Nameless Blade also, is extremely sharp, durable, and can harm things most other weapons cannot. Its power seems to grow the more it is wielder by a single owner. On hit, it has a chance to reveal the enemy's true name, which may be useful depending on the foe. Upon killing a foe, it has a chance to steal some of their power, granting a temporary ability invoked by uttering the truename of the foe slain. This ability depends on the creature killed.

    I have a better idea.

Ask Lucca for advice. Heck, her AND Dr. Light. But isn't she someone who had to deal with Lavos, who just happened to be an alien parasite that drilled it's way deep beneath the earth to sleep and corrupt it...sorta like Grimm!

    So we have Geomancy
    Ship scanners
    Lucca's expertise
    the Goddesses' hints
to find a way to get to the core.

Then, we have a Mikasa, Geomancy, Resist fire and Resist physical damage spells, and 0vercl0cking, to get to the core.

    Want him to try?

Mouse manages to hack into the local governmental databases and manages to falsify permits and licenses for the "Concordance Extraction Corporation", including a mining ship license for the Mikasa as the "Ishimura", to create an experimental mining borehole. He seems quite pleased with himself.

There seems to be a sort of artificial tunnel leading from ruins on the surface to the core. The spatial distortion it's emitting indicates the tunnel/maze is only a mile deep, but somehow connects the crust to the core, accelerating distance traveled within.
    >> Anonymous 03/23/12(Fri)21:50 No.18434929
Chrono team reached Lavos by means of a floating magitek castle that existed at all points in time.

We don't have one of those.

The goddesses should be willing to open a path. Din is fire, maybe she can pull back the magma for us?

Failing that, we can combine the water channel idea with Agrias' geomancy to maintain the passage. She won't be able to assist against Dr. Grimm if she's doing that, though.

Alternatively: Maybe Dr. Light can take command of Wily's leftover robots and have them reinforce the tunnel for us?
    >> Anonymous 03/23/12(Fri)21:51 No.18434932
But she never developed anything to get to Lavos.
Yeah, she developed the Teleport Pods, but the one Timegate that remained open that led to Lavos only led to where he appears on the surface.

Fine. Psychically boost the Abjurers' and Aurors' anti-fire spells, the White mages' wall and protect spells, as they cast buffs on the Mikasa.
Then boost Agrias' geomancy and the Farseers' guidance as they attempt to bore a hole through the planet.

First we need to figure out what interdiction fields are in place in Grimm's lair. He's got hostages, and knowing his knowledge of Guard operational procedure, they're likely to be Canon Protagonists that we need to rescue.

Have ANON and the Oncoming Storm scan the core for any kind of interference or interdiction field.

MetaOP, can the Indefatigable use its transporters in conjunction with its transphase cloak?

Also, ask Data if there's any way to tighten the transporter's Annular Confinement Beam by synchronizing multiple sensor arrays to feed coordinate locks into the targeting scanners, then distributing the molecular imaging scanner's processing load across multiple computer systems? Perhaps enhance the Annular Confinement Beam by setting up extra sets of energizing coals in a parallel circuit?

I think it's more of a personal display of Power that's required here.

Spike showed Courage physically and personally. Elaine dispensed her own brand of Wisdom personally. Cheryl's gotta take a personal part in this; I think Din's saying.

She may very well be needed to battle against Grimm's mind fuckery. A battle of souls and Power. Din wants her to pit her "Inextinguishable Light" against the Darkness at the heart of the world. She wants, gentlemen, to prove that Cheryl's Fire can drive back the Shadow seeking to crush this world.

I think, gentlemen, that Cheryl's going to have to go on the offensive. It's time Grimm understands what it means to know true darkness and fail to yield to it. She has faced the horrors of Silent Hill; Grimm's little grimdark sandbox is nothing to her.

Have her distract him. Have her battle him. Have her reach into the depths of his fetid soul and cram it so full of Light and Hope that the fucker dies screaming. She is the tip of the spear aimed at his black heart. It's time to thrust the spear, gentlemen.

Well we HAVE a freeze ray. Not sure if we should tell Lucca about it, though - might cause canon contaminations, might help us.
Securitrons or off-duty troops might as well help set up the lab. No canon distortions from that.

Ah. So you want Cheryl to mentally attack Grimm as a personal show of power?
We might as well do that now, BEFORE we start tunneling.

Cheryl starts attacking right before the Mikasa rounds the Moon/is teleported into a good position to start drilling (however we wanna work this). Her mission is to draw everything she's got and hit him with everything she's got. Full assault.

Everyone in the psi-matrix that isn't going with the Mikasa focuses in and become part of Cheryl's shield. Grimm's gonna hit back *hard*, and they're gonna need to be ready for it. Farseers can help also by focusing what they can of their Doom ability towards Grimm.

Everyone else stands by just in case Grimm can trigger something nasty for us where we're at. He's going to realize the moment Cheryl starts up that it's the endgame scenario coming for him; and he's gonna fight tooth and nail.

Well, are we taking the Psions and the X-COM Psi-Veterans with the Mikasa, or having them stay with Cheryl to be part of her matrix?

I think they should stay behind, and we send in the SCP, UNIT, and KI troops, and have Securitrons and Soulchipped vehicles to make up the slack.
We should probably send in Darius, Agrias (if she's up for it), Elaine and Lyla, Spike, Star-Lord, perhaps even Data.

    And don't forget BLU Team.
    >> Potential Writefag 03/23/12(Fri)22:49 No.18435432
I think we should leave Spike. I don't think his "How Many Pints of Blood Do You Have" has recharged yet, and there's no sense in risking him when we have so many other choices.

Also, yeah; you bring up a good point. Everyone in the Psi-Matrix should stay and help shield Cheryl.

Maybe field some of the TG Soldiers in their place? They need more experience.
    >> Codeki 03/23/12(Fri)22:50 No.18435434

In addition, Finalon with the Nameless Blade may be useful in this fight, if he can get a strike in against Grimm to learn his True Name.

We have Alicia, Lavian, and Mustadio to bring along with Agrias for support.

You have a point about Spike. And Tosh, as well as Char, will be staying behind, then.

I think we should also bring Data along, as his android body may allow him to continue functioning even if the others are incapacitated.

I don't know about Egon, since he's more of a support Hero, rather than front-line fighter. Though his proton pack might be interesting again Grimm.

    Maybe bring Gondegal along?

And yeah, the TG Soldiers to replace the X-COM Veterans. We should get another squad of TG Recruits.

Now that we're going down into the center, we should probably try to think about what we'll be facing off against.

One thing for certain is the giant spider from Zombies Ate My Neighbors, as the visions from the Goddesses at the very start of this mission showed. If Grimm continues within that vein, then the hostages that are being held may be cheerleaders or such, although he may also be holding key lore figures that can counteract the more grimdark/dystopian aspects of his influence.

Here's a video of the spider bossfight in action:

So we can probably expect a tough fight (duh). Spiderwebs going everywhere slowing people down, small spiders spawning throughout the fight, and the spider itself going apeshit crazy all over the screen. We should also probably expect to see other obnoxious enemy types from that game.

The Mobile Infantry with their heavy flamers would be useful.

We could spam Securitrons into the room while the hostages are rescued.

The SCP Troopers may want to try their Reality Disruptor Rifles on Grimm, while the UNIT squad uses their energy weapons.

X-COM Psi-Veterans are part of Cheryl's psi matrix and were agreed would stay behind.

You load your forces onto the Mikasa, Mouse finishing up the last of the covert preparations in selecting a space of land no one would care about if you tried to drill a gigantic hole into it. On a barren wasteland far outside the City's limits, the drillship slams into the crust of the planet like a giant bullet, the drill on the front chewing apart the rocks and dirt. Agrias sits in the center of the ship's bridge in the lotus position, marshaling her powers for the strain to come.

On the bridge of the Storm, Cheryl stands, her hands balled into fists at her side, her face tight.

Mouse intercepts a few concerned queries about the legitimacy of the drilling operation and patches the call through to a semi dazed Spike, who still manages to bullshit them enough that nothing comes of it.

On the surface, RoboDyne HQ explodes in a gout of flame, a giant egg-shaped machine emerging from the ruins as a blue blur zooms around it. The titan of speed battles with the titan of metal as the MetPharm HQ goes up in flame as well, the X-COM NOVA squad flying from the uppermost floors into a waiting transport.

Minute after minute passes as the Mikasa continues to drill through mile after mile of rock before finally Agrias opens her eyes.

"It is time," she states, standing and outstretching her hands. Manning a computer console behind her, Data begins readying the program he prepared for just this occasion.

The Mikasa bursts through into the magma layer as the liquid rock is pushed away from the ship by Agrias' magic, giving it just enough space to fire the Absolute Zero Cannon. As the cannon fires continuously, causing the magma in front of it to harden to rock, Agrias shapes and molds the tunnel created, Data calling out advice and information as fast as he can allow as the three work in unison to keep a layer of protective stone around the ship at all times as it bites deep into the earth.

Something odd happens... but it is to the crew's benefit. Such continual firing of the cannon SHOULD be putting a huge strain on the Mikasa's reactor, but the power output doesn't seem to be dropping at all. It seems to actually be operating beyond its normal specifications. Something is clearly feeding it power, but who, what, and how all remain unanswered.

Also, now would be a good time to have the Behemoths disembark, and have the Mikasa get a weapons lock on Grimm. Fire after the Mikasa's initial volley.

White Mages, make sure that all Heroes and Troops have been buffed with ReRaise, Haste, and Wall.

Securitrons, deploy around Grimm and get weapons lock.

BLU Team: Engineer set up a turret on the Mikasa's bow. It's not much but every bit helps.
Medic, you're on medic standby because the White Mages are going to be drained.

All Troops and Heroes to hold back while the Mikasa fires it's laser cannons and missile batteries.

With a great crash, Grimm bursts free of the ice just as the first wave of projectiles slams into him, causing him to howl in pain. His form ripples and two giant boils on his flabby belly burst into a pair of obscenely long arms that slam into the ground.

"Riiiiiise," he hisses as several shiny green bubbles of slime burst from beneath the rock. The bubbles pop, revealing a large number of robed reptilian humanoids with no mouths. In one hand they carry a wicked looked sacrificial knife. In the order, a lantern fashioned from a skull. They slowly shuffle forward with glowing eyes. "Riiiise, my disciples. Take your vengeance... Satisfy... your grudge."

Grimm giggles madly with laughter as another pair of arms sprouts from his back and begins to haul him across the web of slime in his lair like a slimy, fat monkey. Slowly he begins to get closer to the Mikasa...

Seconding this. The securitron droids may get the least of the brunt of the Karma attacks that the Tonberries have if they were freshly manufactured and not the securitrons we've used for the previous parts of our mission here. Creating obstructing terrain (or perhaps a conveniently-placed pit?) without directly attacking them might be our best bet here to keeping them out of the fight aside from killing them all with one shot.

If we can somehow get Grimm to injure the tonberries, that may also trigger massive karmic retribution on him, or just hurt the tonberries with no other effect.

S2 Engine and Blue Crystal are already being researched, so that's a moot point.

Mobile Emitters are useful, but we need Aglaophotis-B for our anti-Demon toxiguns.
We're still very limited in the weapons we have that can be used against demonic and Chaos forces.
And there's still the Psi-Shield to consider. The Reality Emitter Mk. 2 is still no protection against psi attacks, as we've seen now multiple times.

Finally, if we can't get those cortical stacks, we need the RED-2-GENERIC, in order to be able to auto-revive all of our troops.
    >> Anonymous 03/24/12(Sat)15:10 No.18442071
But we need the Mobile Emitter so that we can replicate portable emitters as well as being able to create holographic personnel. We need this research so that we can fabricate those hologram upgrade packs for the drones and the Securitrons, as well as for HK-50, VP-98, and VP-99.

I think we should put the 40% into the EMH Mobile Emitter research. We got more scientists to help us now, so our research speeds should have gotten a boost.
    >> Codeki 03/24/12(Sat)20:07 No.18444538

"They were cast-offs too!" Grimm hisses. "Discarded after their cycle wa-"

Grimm is interrupted as Alicia opens the Pandora's Box, organ music drowning out all other noise as streams of golden light pour from the opened box, cascading around the vast chamber, through the Tonberries, through the corrupted Link, Zelda, and Ganon, and into Grimm. The monster that was a man shrieks in pain as vast sores are burned into him, part of his distended belly bursting open and leaking foul fluid onto the cave floor. The massed fire of all your troops continue to bite into Grimm, then he shakes violently and a wall of force erects itself between Grimm and you. Bullets, beams, and bolts all bounce off of this potent defense as the ground shakes and a jet of burning magma erupts from the ground, swallowing several of your troops whole , incinerating a few more, and burning the rest.

The corrupted Zelda gathers a great ball of fire to her waiting palms and sends it roaring across the field of battle to smash into Elaine, Lyla, Starlord, and Darius. The explosions sends them flying, and although the trials they have endured have given them the strength to press on, they are painfully burnt.

Corrupted Link reels back as a trio of arrows suddenly embed themselves into his skull, Finalon drawing and firing as fast as he can manage. The once-hero alters his course and begins to charge the elf.

Corrupted Ganon roars a challenge and bounds towards Darius as the Space Marine pulls himself to his feet. The monster raises a huge arm only for Darius to step aside and bring up Ringil, severing the arm at the shoulder. Ganon utters a pig-like squeal of pain as dark ichor spurts from the wound as his limb rolls several feet away.

Grimm begins to hunch up within his protective field.

Streams of darkness burst from Grimm's body to infect your UNIT troopers, but shortly afterwards a stream of light pours from the ceiling and neutralizes it.

Another double Esuna coupled with Lyla and Elaine singing the Song of Healing as best they can seems to slow Link to a crawl until he finally collapses. Ganon is just carved to bits by your attack teams as they focus on him. The monster didn't stand a chance as Alicia and Lavian bring out the Beam Katanas and slice through his form with ease.

The TG remnants fire their Fat Mans into the shell as the Mobile Infantry decide to follow their example, launching the smallest of their suit nukes at the massive Grimm. A blinding flash robs everyone of their sight for a moment, but the long, pained howl that comes after is enough to tell you the strikes hit home.

Cheryl stands bolt upright in her chair with a startled gasp as within the core, the ceiling cracks and begins to fall.

    Well, that's not good.

That a good gasp or a GTFO gasp?
...Actually how were we planning on leaving?
I mean the Mikisa seems pretty trashed.

Alright, everyone who can, get into the ship. Teleport the others out, including the Avatar. Prepare containment for Link and Zelda.

    Everyone back to the boat!

Scout, you're the fasted, go and retrieve the Lance of Longinus before the cave collapses.

Darius, recover Zelda and Star-Lord, recover Link.

    Recover everyone's remains.
Try to recover some of the captives, too.

    ...I'll be there.

We may have a mission kill on Grimm.

If that is the case, I think that the core is collapsing as the load-bearing boss is dying. If this is the case, perhaps Grimm's anti-teleport field is down; we may want to have our starships go in and attempt to 'port all personnel out first, then attempt to salvage the Mikasa.

We may also want to beseech the goddesses of this world for any aid they can spare.

maybe rescue any hostages we can, too.

    It'll drive the fucker nuts.
