So maybe you have been the best person, maybe karma is a thing, and you owe the universe something. Maybe, this is overdue, and you deserve it.
Or maybe you shouldn't fuck up smack deals.

Whatever the reason is, you wake up in a trunk, or what you assume to be a trunk. You can't see much, though as far as smell goes you're fine, and first impressions of the place aren't good.

Well, it's a good as time as any for a fresh start, right?
    Welcome to Liberty City.

With difficulty, you flip yourself over onto your side, and fan out with your hands in the dark, searching for anything you can use to get out of here. Through some coincidence of fate, your finger slips over the tip of a slight knife, jutting out from the trunks carpeting.

You take it and begin to work away at the trunk door, attempting to leverage open. After a minute of struggle, the knife gives a little and trunk pops open, giving you a view of a brooding skyline, overcast by a foggy blue Liberty City night.

They left you here, in a Hove Beach car lot. Nothing's pretty, and it all just reeks of shit.

Guess you've got to add to that hit list.

The car's a dusty old Blista Compact, fast, shit looking, and dented to hell and back. The door's are locked, but you don't find that to be much of a problem, and soon you're in the cabin. Unlike before, it seems they've left nothing for you, besides the car, which appears to be in working order.

You could probably hotwire this thing, but where do you plan on going?

You're afraid you have nothing but this knife, the car, and...
It seems you're wallets gone, which is to be expected. But there's something in there, a picture, a face you don't want to forget.
You need to get it back.

You decide to search the car a little more thoroughly, and in the glovebox you do find some papers, car insurance in an unfamiliar name. The Compact was probably stolen by those thugs who took you out, men with names you know, but not an address to go by.

When you get the address, call the city or county office tax assessor, and ask for the name of the owner of that property (its absolutely public domain.) See if there is an associated phone number to it, and any other property they own.

You begin to devise a plan for finding this guy, a "Anders Goldman." If anyone can give you an idea of where these punks are, it's him.

Till then, you need a place to hideout, work on your next move. You have a buddy up in Dukes, speaking of places that smell like shit, if anyone's still loyal to you, it's him.
You get into the steering column and hotwire the car, easy, and are greeted to the soft ministrations of Lazlo, a local talk show host. You back the out of the lot, and onto the open road, where a whole line of immigrants are ready to run into you, and a few almost do. That's Hove Beach for ya'.

The urban cityscape passes you by as you take the car uptown, it's a short drive, but it's night, and Liberty City, so shit is bound to happen.

(I love the Elvis idea, using both.)

Elvis rolls over the hood of your car.
    What.

Before you can really comprehend this, you find yourself drifting into the coming lane of traffic, and though you right yourself quickly, your front bumper slides against that of a coming police car.
The blare of a particularly obnoxious siren tells you that was a mistake.

You can't afford the hassle of being taken in, and floor it, switching the radio to LCHC to complete the mood. You hear the petulant squealing of rubber as the officer turns around to pursue you, and seeing an opportunity, you duck into a seedy alleyway in response.
Speaking of seedy, what you assume to be a hooker is now splattered on your windshield. Gross. Hot? Anyways, you clear the alley, bloody hood and all, and clip a turquoise green van as you exit into the adjacent street, you lose your front bumper, but not a lot of momentum, and you soon reach top speed.
The officer, slowed by your detour, rounds the bend and heads after you, though he isn't able to keep up for long.

You decide to pull into Cluckin' Bell, and getting out of your car, stare at the blood in disdain. You ought to clean that up.

You walk into the "restuarant" and hover behind the counter, a young latina girl giving you a dumbfounded look before spitting out the usual spiel, taking your order and whatnot. It's said nice and dull, you guess the night shift takes it's toll on everyone. You ask for a bucket of wings.
You now realize, like an idiot, that you have no money.

The food comes out, fast and cheap and gross, like only fast food is. The cashier looks at you expec-well, boredly, and you just kind of stand there.
"You broke son?" a gruff voice asks from behind you. You can feel the spaghetti dripping from your pockets as he chuckles, and gives you a sturdy clap on the back. "That's funny, tell you what, I'll get us a second bucket, and we'll have ourselves a little contest. You win, meals on me, else I'll be "expecting" something from ya'." He chuckles again.
