    Old thread:

    List of Servants thus far:

Rider: El Cid (I have the statblock, this guy's set in stone.)
Saber: Finn McCool, need stat block
    Lancer: Uncertain
    Caster: Lovecraft/Rasputin. Uncertain
    Archer: Odysseus, need stat block
Assassin: Uncertain if I should follow the Nasu line or grab another
    Berserker: Might be Beowulf. Uncertain.

Takes place in Seattle / Washington.

After the Fifth Grail. Makiri and Einzbern are participants, but not Tohsaka.

Always looking for help! Artists welcome!

I'm not particularly good at this kind of thing, but I'm definitely interested.

Also, Odysseus is an A+ choice. As for Assassin, I don't have any real concrete ideas, but I don't see a need to follow the Nasu line and make up a Hassan. It gives you a lot more flexibility if you don't.

I'm somewhat dissapointed there isn't a gun as a servant but whatever.
And i feel like Lovecraft theme was already done with the dude from Fate/Zero.
    I suggest Holmes as caster

Screw that, Der Fuerer. Imagine the chaos if anyone sees hitler running round stabbing people with a spear. Or machine gun, he was a military man.
    >> WeeabooPete !!KadDxk6fnqZ 04/15/12(Sun)21:36 No.18730506
I think Beowulf as Berserker is awesome. Fuck the Nasuverse canon, 4th War Berserker never went mad in hos own lifetime, either - they just added some incantations in his summoning ritual to make him mad. (maybe the magic words involved whispering about the latest 40k codex)

Lu Bu for Lancer. Fuck yeah, Three-Kingdoms era!

Brutus as Assassin. Et Tu Brute and all that would make for a great visionary Servant. [http://forums.nrvnqsr.com/showthread.php/1175-Fate-Somnium-Summer-Redux]
This guy's markup for Assassin is pretty solid, IMO, but YMMV
    >> Anonymous 04/15/12(Sun)21:36 No.18730508
I'd go for either Hector or Telamonian Ajax as the lancer, since they have ties with Odysseus and their rivalries can serve as plot points here and there. Picking Ajax comes with the benefit/issue of an already existing Noble Phantasm, Rho Aias.

On another note, I am hoping for Cid to be the PC's Servant.

    Assassin
    Spirit: Marcus Junius Brutus
    Alignment: Lawful Good
    Strength: D
    Endurance: D
    Agility: A
    Mana: D
    Luck: B
    Noble Phantasm: B+

    Abilities:

Presence Concealment - The ability to conceal the Servant's presence, granted usually to the Assassin Class.

B: At this rank, the Servant cannot be tracked by normal methods and low-level spells, and only reveals his or her presence when attacking or moving at high speeds. The probability of stealth attacks to succeed is increased moderately.
    >> That McGuyver 04/15/12(Sun)21:38 No.18730531
I re-propose James Bond for assassin. We need at least one classy character, and no one has more class than Bond.
    >> WeeabooPete !!KadDxk6fnqZ 04/15/12(Sun)21:38 No.18730534
    >>18730525
    Skills:

    Disengage
The ability to break away from battle.

C: At this rank, the Servant can retreat from battle effectively. Also has the ability to return an unfavorable battle to the first turn and return technique stats to their defaults

    Eye of the Mind (True)
Calm analysis of battle situation and conclusion of action during a tight spot through "theory of battle".

C: At this rank, the Servant is capable of calmly analyzing situations except during an emotionally challenging battle. Even if the chance of victory is small, he is able to devise a plan to exploit that possibility.

    Nature of a Rebellious Spirit
The temperament to never remain at one location and never embrace a lord. A wandering star that does not have the capacity to be king nor is capable of finding his own king.

A: Enough to cancel all kinds of charisma and leadership abilities.
    >> Anonymous 04/15/12(Sun)21:38 No.18730536
Did some Googling and how about Hassan-i Sabbah for the assassin since the word is actually derived from his religious cult that he led although I'm not familiar enough with the system to stat him up

Odysseus is going to be one bad ass motherfucker.

Give him something relating to always having a clever plan, make his bow only usable by him and him being extremely dangerous with it.

Maybe give him a NP based on his ten years of wandering and besting the challenges he found there.

His luck stat will be complete SHIT.

    Hmm.
Assassin: Al Mualim. The dude that created the word assassin. You chose ANYONE else, shame on you.
Caster: LOVECRAFT. Dude, this isn't even a choice.
Lancer: Crazy Horse. Fits somewhat. Hector of Troy would also work if he hasn't already been used canonically.

    Make the Assassin
    "John Doe"

    Noble Phantasms:

    Sic Semper Tyrannis
Title: Thus is the End of All Tyrants
    Rank: B+
    Type: Anti-Personnel
    Range: 1-3
    Maximum Target: 1 person

A technique that defines Assassin to his class. The ultimate physical murder technique that will kill every opponent without fail.

This is an attack that, while not the bane of those who are immortal, will, without fail, kill those who are counting on near-infinite HP or stacked lives.

A crystallized attack that once took down a mighty emperor, Sic Semper Tyrannis imposes the fate of “death” upon the enemy, changing his status from living to dead. As world notices and tries to fix it, the following attack of Assassin is what is deemed most suitable for the task, and it automatically becomes an unblockable attack that will surely kill the opponent. After all, the attack is just means to achieve the end that has been “corrected” already.

No amount of HP or armor can stop this attack, as it will continue as long as it is needed to take to kill the opponent. Only in the cases where highest rank of AGI is combined with instincts and reflexes on par with sixth sense is dodging most of the attacks possible, which is the only way to avoid a fatal outcome. In other words, dodging until Assassin runs out of magical energy stored in Sic Semper Tyrannis.

In a sense, very efficient Noble Phantasm, as it does not take lot of magical energy, but that is also its downfall, as the small amount it takes to activate becomes the aforementioned weakness.

    Finn stat-block, eh?

Let's see... A whack, with little knowledge of the Nasuverse at large. Feel free to adjust

    Fionn mac Cumhaill

    Saber-Class

    Str: B+
    End: B
    Agi: C
    Man: B+
    Luk: D

[EX] Magic Resistance - Manifested through the cloak he wears, Fionn Mac Cool is practically invulnerable to magic, especially mind-affecting magic.

[EX] Supernatural Wisdom - Finn Mac Cool received and ate the Salmon of Wisdom, and a piece of its flesh was burned into his thumb. By sucking on his thumb with a query in mind, he can receive the answer to that query through his infinite knowledge.

    Noble Phantasm: Nimh ["Venom"]

    Rank: C

The spear of Finn Mac Cool, which he may cast at will. He casts with great accuracy, and the blade is cursed and exudes a cloud of venom which is creates a deep pain in the user, which Finn used himself to stay awake when slaying the fairy Aillen. The spear was the weapon which struck the faerie down.

    Noble Phantasm: The Giant's Causeway

    Rank: B

Finn Mac Cool is a legendary giant of a warrior, and once infamously created a causeway to fight the bravest man of Scotland by lifting and throwing the land in such quantities that it created a chain of islands called the Giant's Causeway. His might is infamous, and he can turn any thrown object into a D-Rank Noble Phantasm with the investment of mana. Objects which Finn lifts and throw remain complete and whole during the process no matter how illogical this may seem through physics.

    Spirit: Odysseus

    Strength: A
    Endurance: B+
    Agility: A
    Mana: B
    Luck: E
    Noble Phantasm: A+

Abilities - Independent Action: Odyseus doens't need a Master for mana, blah blah.

Mystic Eyes of Whisper - Odysseus can convince someone of damn near anything. Servants of B rank or lower are inclined to believe what he says is true.

Julie d'Aubigny, La Maupin - Saber
    Strength B, Endurance C, Agility B, Mana C, and Luck B
(can't get away with so much without some enhanced Luk)
    Magic resistance A, Riding B

Young Spirit: A drawback. As a recent spirit, her Str an End have been downgraded one level.

Wild Courtesan: La Maupin is a tumultuous and powerful personality. Her charm works beyond situation and context, making life more... interesting. La Maupin can adopt female clothing through this ability.

The Male Rayment: Maupin fought in male clothing and didn't know defeat. Mundane weapons are useless, and other attacks can be avoided by her Luk. La Maupin adopts male clothes through this ability.

So she won't stand toe to toe directly to other Servants, but Saber MagiRes and Male Rayment means she is hard to chew. Wild Courtesan is just a powderkeg waiting to explode and can be very useful outside combat, as long as you want to face the consequences.

    FFFFFFFF-

    THAT MAKES PERFECT SENSE.

Normally Masters supply Prana/Mana/Whatever to the Servant.

However, some Masters have shit magic Circuits, and need to feed their Servants some other way. The only 'natural' sources of Prana are in sexual fluid and blood.

Some Servants (Caster in 5th Grail War) subsisted on having sex with their master. Others (5th War Rider) did so by accosting/killing people on the streets.

The killings of some of the killers were prana-charging rites! Holy fuck, that is terrifying and awesome.

Guile, given some time to think and plan Odysseus can create a near flawless stratagem that if followed properly leads to success in his goals.

Something about his bow that only he could draw and he shot through 12 axe heads to prove it was him, then he slaughtered the suitors with it.

Something to do with his journeys like him obtaining the bag of wind, walking down to the underworld and stabbing a cyclops in the eye.

    AGI: B
    MAN: C
    LUK: F (Below human standard)

    Skills -

A bow with incredible power. Only those with a Strength rating of B or greater can even draw it. The arrows move as Odysseus wishes, and never lose kinetic energy until they reach their designated 'target'. Nonmagical defenses and cover are rendered useless. >Eye of the Mind (False) (心眼(偽), Shingan (Nise)?) is an innate talent to sense and avoid danger based on intuition, that can also be called the Sixth Sense or prescience, gained through many ordeals and adventures. As a natural talent to avoid danger, it greatly differs from Eye of the Mind (True), which is danger avoidance that originates from “predictions augmented by experience”.

    >Eye of the Mind (True) (心眼(真), Shingan (Shin)?) is heightened insight that was refined through experience.

Jack would be a young spirit, barely 200 years old. But terrifying. He's had time to perfect his art. He's had time to learn to change his methods. He's had time to learn to savor the hunt. Physically, he should be pretty much all around average. Nothing special to look at. And that's part of the danger. At anytime, he might just *snap*. And you never know what might set him off. I don't think you can even have a Grail war without Tohsaka participation, the three families each provide something necessary. The Tohsaka family specifically calls forth the Servants, I believe.

As for Assassin, since it's somewhat historical that the word itself calls back to the Hassan assassins, I think it's well enough to leave it at that unless you really want to bring in some other extremely famous assassin, and even then you'd need a really strong relic to call them instead of Hassan.

    As for Saber, from wikipedia:
    >Accounts of Fionn's death vary; according to the most popular, he is not dead at all, rather, he sleeps in a cave somewhere beneath Ireland, surrounded by the rest of the Fianna. One day they will awake and defend Ireland in the hour of her greatest need. In one account, it is said they will arise when the Dord Fiann (his hunting horn) is sounded three times, and they will be as strong and as well as they ever were.

That sounds a lot like a Noble Phantasm, although I don't know if you've planned that out yet, or if someone already brought it up.

True. So basically, we can divide Finn into two figures: Lancer Finn, the young Finn who struck down the faerie, and Saber Finn, the Lord of the Fianna. Lancer Finn has an actual Noble Phantasm weapon, but Saber Finn has the potential to accidentally the whole war. Though given the requirements... is there any mage on the planet who'd be capable of producing/tracing enough artifacts to summon the entire Fianna, much less providing prana for upwards of twelve Heroic Spirits at once?

Well I'd imagine it would only be a temporary summoning. Like through a Reality Marble or something.

    Caster Class

    STR: E

    AGI: E
    MAN: EX (see: Mephistopheles )
    LUK: A

    Skills:

Summoning (EX): Faust may summon any being that is not a Deity without loss of status, however, this drains his Master's mana instead of Faust's. Thus, a second Servant may not be summoned without loss of status.

Spellcraft (A): Knowledge of how to reconstruct 'miracles' that cannot be accomplished by science.

    Noble Phantasm: Mephistopheles
    Rank: EX

A familair of great and terrible power, summoned through an unholy deal with Satan. Mephistopheles will advise both Faust and the Master, and will not attempt to mislead or decieve either. He can cast spells at a Spellcraft skill of A. Faust uses Mephistopheles to commit all casting except his Summoning. Jack always liked getting up close and personal to his victims. Jack uses the shadows to close in on his target, moving seemingly without ever entering the light, faster that human reflexes can even respond too. Lacuna. Noble Phantasms work like danger multipliers or extra dice. Heart Rate system may be kept as Endurance, limiting long conflicts.

Quick System. Noble Phantasms and magic reduce target difficulty just like items. Having Luk, End as dump "HP" stats could work great for hardier characters.

FATE Dresden Files. The crunchiest. Compels and Aspects make for enhanced storytelling/participation.

Masters are mortals using mortal stunts, and the PCs.

Servants are their insanely powerful NPCs with crazy magical powers, who they direct and provide with mana in the form of mental and physical stress [to help power NP through mana] and Fate points [because let's face it, Servants are going to have Refresh so low it's fucking geological]

Some of us haven't read any of the series. And brain melting magic would fit in well in this matchup, specifically as a counter to all the extra people being drawn in in this matchup.

I was thinking an ability to summon mythos creatures, non-dietys mostly.

Another ability to channel power from the elder/outer gods, gaining power but putting extreme mental strain on the Master.

An Elder Sign, an anti-magic/anti-ability spell

And finally something where he wakes Great Cthulhu up, becoming a berserker until Cthulhu falls back to sleep (lets say R'lyeh is right off shore for shits 'n giggles), with massive stat boosts.

    Lovecraft
    Caster Class

    STR: E
    END: E
    AGI: E
    MAN: EX
    LUK: EX

    Skills:

Iron Mind (EX): Lovecraft and his master are perfectly centered in their minds. No event, sight, or truth can break their sanity.

Magecraft (B): Lovecraft is capable of basic magecraft.

    Noble Phantasm: The Elder Signs
    Rank: EX

Lovecraft is capable of sealing areas from supernatural activity with absolute certainty, so long as he can place a series of signs within the territory. Said area reverts all Heroic Spirits to basic humans, all Noble Phantasms to either simple weapons or mere tale, and all skills to the peak of human ability. Placing these signs takes one minute for each, and the amount needed to cover an area depends on magic already present and the area needed to be covered. The area also acts as a perfect barrier against abilities that rely entirely on Prana, and can disable other attacks.

    Noble Phantasm: The Forgotten City
    Rank: EX

By utilizing a ritual, Lovecraft can bend the space of a large area, randomizing where doors and paths lead entirely. The spell last as long as Lovecraft can maintain it and as long as his Master can stand it.

For raw stats, Siegfried and Beowulf are the oldest, though Odysseus would get a boost out of being so well known. Finn is older, but more obscure, so his raw stats come mostly from him being a sort of proto-Arthurian figure that makes him pretty recognizable. El Cid is one of the youngest, but very well known and celebrated in his country, so he'd punch at a decent level. Harun al-Rashid is rarely referenced but is the archetypical sultan of Arabian fantasy so he'd probably be among the weaker guys in this line-up. Jack the Ripper is the youngest, so he'd probably have the worst raw stats.

I think people are mistaking my idea for an Archer that uses a gun.

There's still a personal legend, like Billy the Kid. However, instead of summoning the Spirit into reality, you shove them into their own Noble Phantasm (The gun) and weild it, thus becoming the Servant yourself. It's not used because it erodes your sense of self, and it's hightly dependant on a single weapon/ability set.

An idea, /tg/. Perhaps not one for this quest, but I just want to see how people would take this idea.

It's possible for servants to not be heroes, but spirits, ideals, events (Archer to a degree, Rider Black death)- I might not be 100% accurate on this, but given some leaneacy and an open mind, it's within the realms of possibility I think.

So what about The Manhattan project... as a servant? A personification of the dawn of the era of Nuclear war and the threats and fear involved. If anything could be a powerhouse and still be a "modern" era servant, why not this? Nuclear danger and warfare has changed the face of war and strewn pure paranoia into the entire globe. A Pandoras box, if you will. And if you wanted to fluff it up, all that fear, anger, selfish desire... all that negativity and its density combined and became a servant.

so I ask you, what sort of abilities would this servant have? Or even simpler, what sort of class might they be? I'm thinking caster or Beserker, myself.

Mostly just pondering and wondering how /tg/ would take / adapt such an idea.

"Despite the fact that he spent much of his life drilling folks in the head with bullets, Reeves' service record was utterly stainless. He killed fourteen men in gunfights – more than Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Billy the Kid, and Wild Bill Hickok - and wounded dozens more, but was never once convicted of unlawful use of force or murder or police brutality or any of that stupid crap. He couldn't be bribed or paid off, and one time he even hunted down and arrested his own son when the kid murdered Bass' daughter-in-law. Unbelievably, Bass Reeves was also apparently more bulletproof than a Steven Seagal movie, seeing as how he was never wounded once during his time on the force. He had his belt shot in two, his hat brim shot away, a button on his coat shot off, and his bridle reigns cut in half by bullets, but never felt the sting of a gunshot to any part of his body."

Yeah, just saying, feel like Lovecraft is kind of a lame approach given we've already had two fancy monster Casters. I think we could have more fun with Solomon or Harun or something. I know we're mostly Ameri-and-Eurofags here, but it's a shame to see such a narrow range of mythological interest. Hell, I wouldn't even call Faust a mythical figure. Significant literary figure, but not mythical. And Lovecraft is purely out of /tg/'s hurr-durr 'Cthulhu is rad' fetish.

Though I have to admit, the idea of him bound to a black master would be hilarious just to watch him squirm under the hand of a 'sub-human'. The man is a pitiful figure, it'd be fun to watch him suffer.

    Assassin

I concur. Old Scratch would be mythical, though, if we want to take elements from that mythos.

/tg/ has way less of a cthulhu fetish than a lot of places. Also in this case we made Lovecraft a defeater of Lovecraftian horrors, so yeah.

Harun al-Rashid [Aaron the Rightly Guided]

    Caster-Class

Noble Phantasm: Bayt al-Hikma ["The House of Wisdom"]

    Rank: A+

A vault-type Noble Phantasm, the House of Wisdom was the grandest library since Alexandria, home to a magnificent number of magical grimoires and the wisdom of the ages. Harun is capable of producing many tomes of wisdom from this library, giving him mastery of nearly all forms of sorcery, especially the binding and summoning of djinn and spirits.

Noble Phantasm: The Caliph Walks Among the People

    Rank: C

Harun al-Rashid is infamous for walking the streets of Baghdad in disguise - once, he was hired to assassinate himself by a group of conspirators. When this Noble Phantasm is active, he cannot be recognized by his seeming, but it cannot be used together with his other phantasms.

Noble Phantasm: The Thousand and One Nights

    Rank: B

Harun is the subject of many of the stories of the legendary collection known as the Thousand and One Nights, and is capable of playing any archetypical role in fiction. Because of this, he takes on an aspect of myth no matter where he goes - while this Noble Phantasm is active, Harun is always 'someone you know', capable of performing any mundane task through his vast store of wisdom. When the legends of the Caliph of Baghdad are spoken while he walks the Earth, he gathers mana, giving him an almost unlimited supply so long as his name is known and remembered - his glory and his power are one and the same under God.

    Solomon (King of Mages)
    Caster Class

    STR: E
    END: D
    AGI: E
    MAG: A+
    LUK: A

    Skills:

Magecraft (EX): Solomon can replicate almost any Sorcery.

Eye of the Mind (True) (EX) :heightened insight that was refined through experience. Capable of calm analysis of battle conditions even when in danger and deduce an appropriate course of action after considering all possibilities to escape from a predicament. So long there is even a 1% chance of a comeback, this ability almost ensures the chances of winning.

    Noble Phantasm: Seal of Solomon
    Rank: A+

A ring that allows Solomon to control entities with a Divine or Unholy nature. The greater that nature, the easier it is to use on that subject. This ability is highly efficient in prana, and lasts for a long time - however, only five entities can be so controlled.

    Noble Phantasm: Key of Solomon
    Rank: EX

A collection of magic spells that can be performed by anyone capable of replicating the pentacles. Said pentacles are incredibly prana-efficient and have a variety of effects, such that they encompass the entirety of Solomon's casting ability, which is enourmous.

I figure his House of Wisdom would magnify and make more efficient his sorcery... the man was a great admirer of Solomon and no doubt had Solomon's Key among his collection. With an easy way to generate mana and the enormous center of knowledge Baghdad was before the Mongols burned it to shit, I see him as an incredibly efficient magecraft machine, but one without any true Sorcery - Just slim, nasty, easily-produced wonders. Casual magic. This is a man who can command a carpet to fly not because of any quality of the carpet but because his course is the right one, decided by God, and the words he speaks are Truth.

Harun is an incredible badass, a clever detective, a dangerous sorcerer, and a bold hero all at once, throughout the many tales of the Thousand and One Nights. He plays every role from hero to villain, but one thing never changes - as king or pauper, he is a man for whom command over the world around him is a state as natural as breathing.

Unless of you course, you tweaked what he actually was.

As I recall, Lovecraft consistantly used himself as a character in his books. His heroic spirit could be the author and the character combined, as such- the writer embued with the perceptions of so many readers and his tales fames.

I've figured before that Lovecraft could actually make a pretty neat beserker, though in a warped sense. The horrors of his tales spew out of his body, attacking anything in sight bar Lovecraft himself. Usually these unwarranted and unwanted "summonings" involve a lot of screaming, agony, torn flesh and blood and are quite horrifying to behold. Since the abominations summoned are individual and uncontrollable by Lovecraft himself, it means he has to stay very far away from his own Master, lest he endanger them indirectly.

The Masters bellow this must end fast, for Berserker's identity is compromised, and Quixote must strike first or perish under brute power.

Berserker doesn't care, as he doesn't feel any ill intention or desire from Quixote, something tugging at his mind... it is the first time in this War someone regarded him with manners and... by God, is he recounting the tale about that little shit Gawain? Remarkable.

You know, Grendel would make a good Assassin.

Wait, hold on. Hear me out here; I remember when I first read Beowulf, it struck me how Grendel, the big bad monster, could go about his work apparently without being seen or heard. That how it struck me: they would wake up, head to the feast hall, and all they would find of those holed up in it the night before was blood and pieces.

    Don Quixote
    Lancer Class

    STR: B
    END: C
    AGI: C
    MAG: B
    LUK: E

    Skills:

Delusion (C) : Quixote's self-assurance of his greatness and nobility grants him a measure of power. The stats shown are when he is secure in what he is, if this charade is broken, they all fall a rank.

    Noble Phantasm: Giant Killer
    Rank: B
    Anti-Unit

Don Quixote's lance strikes without err while charging, always at a 'vital' point. Even if it is out of reach, or the enemy is protected, the lance still strikes. However, such strikes may or may not be fatal, or even damaging.

Noble Phantasm: Dream the Impossible Dream
    Rank: EX
    Anti-Army

If Don Quixote's illusion of granduer is broken, his depression and sadness spreads to other servants. They all lose three ranks in all skills and abilities until such a time that he regains his composure. Until that point, magic is stunted in the area (Defined by line of sight to him) and Noble Phantasms cannot be triggered.

You've already started stating them out, but I thought I'd throw in my picks for the hell of it:

Rider: Chuck Yeager. No seriously, the guy is more than qualified.
    Saber: Perseus, because why not?
Lancer: I agree that Don Quixote is a pretty good choice, even though his insanity (or was it senility?) could also qualify him for the most hilarious Berserker ever.
Caster: Baba Yaga. If you don't agree with me, you probably don't know who she is.
    Archer: Robin Hood. A cop-out but c'mon
, he's due for the role already.
Assassin: Some John Doe. If you can actually recognize their name, they aren't a very good assassin.
Berserker: Here's a bit of a twist. Since the heroes can be from the future, let's say that there was a fatal flaw in creating humanity's first combat-cyborg. Something went wrong interfacing his brain into the machinery, driving him mad and sending him on a killing spree that lasted for weeks before his own military could put him down. Actually......going back and reading all that, it comes off rather cliche (but it was either this or Macho Man Randy Savage).

Lovecraft a unsung hero who's heroics and sacrifices have been reduced to mere Fiction. He Raged a one man war against madness itself with only his Wit. Through his Deeds he gained a unmatched knowledge of the occult and ancient which he further employed in his battle against the insanity the threatened to tear the world apart should it become free for just a moment.

In the End he died sacrificeing himself. Takeing the madness of the world into himself, a burden only he could bear and died standing. Knowing that although he had beaten the evil for the meantime it would once again resurface

his final wish were that the story's he had left would help prepare the those to come when the great evil would re-appear.
Love the idea of his NP reducing everyone to normal humans. then maybe sending elements of his story's to manifest and attack those trapped

A little too complex (managing Seven Servants is enough as-is) but a fun idea. Perhaps outside the perview of this quest, but perhaps another one

OP, will we need to start a new thread? (What post count do we need to hit for autosage, anyhow?)

I see none of you have so far mentioned Julius Ceasar. Have you mentioned Charlemange, any historical popes or Dalai Llamas, Atilla the Hun, Tamerlane, or Ghengis Khan?
