The Titandonis continue to grow larger, evolving an extra set of legs to cope with the increased weight and allowing them to walk with a softer gait, making them harder for the sandworms to detect.

Over time what was once a sharing of nutrients across the blood/root system has become a sharing of cells, Cho photosynthetic cells now populate the the top of the Titandonis body, providing enough sustenance that they can go months without eating.
This constant trickle of food allows them to continue growing through out there lives, much like the sandworms those that live long enough can be truly massive, though more prone to injury as their exoskeltons ability to support their weight doesn't increase as fast as their size in old age.

The blade runner packs have started moving with the swarming rippers. The smaller rippers can fly and scout for prey, while the bigger blade runners can kill far bigger prey than their smaller cousins could.
Together, these two species form wast hordes of claws, teeth and chitin, which moves swiftly from place to place in search of food.

When the horde attacks, the smaller rippers serve as an distraction to the bigger creatures, biting their ankles and other soft parts. The bigger blade runners use the distraction to their advantage, so that they can strike when the prey is unable to defend itself. They impale their prey to their forelimbs, while slashing them with their secondary arm blades. They use their strong beaks to crush the creatures shell/skull/spine or other hard parts.

the wesper swarms they once took advantage of becoming more and more difficult to follow, the albatross cho evolve a drastic measure to ensure the continuation of the species: a controlled burn.

the species has developed the ability to produce special sap that is both incredibly volatile to shock and quite flammable.

the unstable sap is bundled within newly adapted spore pods, designed with tough-shelled fireproof spores and specially shaped wings that help them steady their fall when dropped from the parent's bloomshell.

when a sporebearing adult senses an increase in humidity in the air, such as would be produced by evaporation from an oasis, it releases its hellstorm of explosive sporepods. the first to impact burn through any local flora or fauna unable to escape the blaze, while those who come late are left with pre-fertilized ground to take root in.

the once sundry sight of a massive flying plant becomes a signal of terror for many desert inhabitants.

the albatross cho, in the presence of nutrient-rich ash and the byproducts of their new method of reproduction, develop much stronger structures around the bases of their wings. these new structures allow for powerful flexing of the wing structures.

the albatross cho have developed true flight!
    - young of the species need not wait for a sandstorm to rise, simply a strong gust for them to work off of
    - if a flyer is grounded, it has a much greater chance of regaining its altitude
    - greater control is possible in flight. the ability to vary altitude helps them reach denser pockets of humidity.

    BEHOLD!
    The smart houyi!

The snake houyi were out-competed in brute strength and speed by the running houyi almost everywhere. The little advantage the snakes had was their relatively more accurate spines and longer range.
Unlike their running cousins, the snakes couldn't just ram a tankdoni while shooting few javelins at it, and expect to succeed in bringing the acid spewing bug down. No they had to think what they were doing.
Slowly, but surely, a predatory cunning like no other started developing within their brains. The concept of tactics, covering fire and flanking were slowly sinking to the minds of these ravenous predators.

The snake houyi hunt in packs with almost military grade organization. Each individual has clear objectives and roles when they hunt. One distracts the prey, while other moves to its flank, as the rest of the pack provide covering fire with their spines, pinning the prey to the ground, allowing the flanking one to either unleash a volley of spines to the creatures unarmored backside, or simply move close enough to be able to swiftly kill the victim with it's arm blades.

There is clear, cold and calculating mind lurking within the armored head of these beasts. They know when and when not to attack, they make plans, ambushes, raids. They capture creatures to their lairs, presumably for feeding their young. They are predators, first, sentients second. There is no compassion in them, the weak die and the strong endure.

Having made these, I just want to say that that didn't happen in this thread. That was actually the very first thing to happen in the first desert thread.

For the volcanic event, the sandcoral usmal stick near the plants, preferably the more primitive kaskus and cho which, by what I gather, have an easier time surviving out in the open desert than those adapted for life around the oases.

    YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!

Over time, the symbiotic relationship between the Suzumou and the sandworms becomes even deeper. After generations of hosting these sentient wespars, the sandworms develop a curious trait. When they finally grow too big to properly move around, they start developing specialized openings at their sides. These openings lead to a simple flesh-pouch, in which the worm starts storing small amounts (from it's perspective) of fat.
These, almost womb like chambers were quickly utilized by the Suzumous, who no longer needed to melt trough the hard skin of the worms that resides between their massive armor plates. This trait is beneficial for the worm, as the wounds made by the wespar nymphs when they emerge, are no longer in the open, making infections less likely. Now the wounds are contained within these incubator chambers running down the worm's sides.

The Suzumou start permanently living in these "wombs". Their presence doesn't affect the worm much, as the walls of the chambers are coated with thick mucus, that prevents infections.

These old worms, with the food provided by the Suzumou who worship them as gods, can produce high amount of eggs. The worm populations continue to bloom.

The Cho hit the evolutionary motherload and make a series of quick advancements and adaptations.

The central spire grows up and outwards, forming an umbrella like structure over the main area. It is hard and armoured, made of interwoven fibers with iron strains to protect itself from the bombs of the albatross cho.
Underneath this umbrella, sandwiched inbetween layers of plantfibers to mitigate the effects of shaking, are great waterpacks the cho can rely on in hard times of little water and can use to extinguish itself if fired upon.

The creeping vines grow longer and stronger, able now to support the weight of almost any creature in the desert.

When there is a great disturbance(eg sandstorms, being eaten, bombardment, fucking sandworms), the umbrella locks up and the vines wrap around it forming a difficult to penetrate series of walls, the rubbery inside absorbing kinetic damage and channeling it into the ground via it's new and improved root system.

Every now and again (about twice a month) the UMBRELLA CHO shoot out great spore clouds that bathe the desert in it's bio-luminecence.
Every night the light refracted through the waterpockets forms a rainbow lightshow to be seen under and around the plant as it bathes itself in a light mist, washing off any detrius that may form on it's surface so it can take advantage of every bit of sunlight in the morn.

One can now see many of these plants growing around seasonal or permanent water sources and they fill the surrounding desert with it's glow.

Also the Aquatic Usmal have developed a small crest on their heads which flushes with blood when an Usmal senses danger, sending the group diving into the safety of the Submarine Cho's chamber

On a happy note the Devil houyi has evolved nicely to fit into its new environment of lava, ash, and volcanic hell. It has become significantly slower. Why thats no good you say? But it has a shiny new spine launcher. This spine it launches is a modified bone. Inside is a mix of highly volatile liquids that on impact mix when the bone cracks. then..well, "boom". Yes dear readers, the devil houyi is no longer the proud beast it once was, its been reduced to a giant artillery peice that will rape you if you get too close with its giant claws. Oh, its got a nice upgrade to electrical sensitivity as well. that ash makes it hard to see.

A subspecies of snake houyis emerges. The volcanic houyis adapts to live in the hot obsidian wastelands. They are smaller, more lithe than their cousins who live in other areas.
To cope with the immense heat in these dark plains, they have developed lighter skin, that reflects sunlight off their bodies.
Even still, they are mostly inactive during the day, as the heat prevents them from doing much.
They hunt the jet wespars which flock to these fields. They have developed a way of making their spines grooved, allowing them to shoot even further with more accuracy.

The "Carrier" wesper has had to deal with the increased predation from the snake houyis and even the great artillery houyis. In order to cope from predation on the ground, as well as from the albatross cho in the air with its firestorm pod release the Wesper merged a very old design with new concepts. The "carrier" wesper no longer has the single shot cannon it used to. Its radio broadcast communication to the other jet wespers has become more powerful, it has become as large as an Albaross Cho and a flap along its lower body can open and close, creating a sort of internal hanger giving it a much larger capacity then before. Two very powerful propulsion organs have formed once more. The "exhaust" from this scorches the sky black. The beast otherwise is the same as before, complete with hypersonic "bullet" drones. aim down, fire drones. collect corpses later.

Some of the landworms adapt to the obsidian plains. They are able to tunnel trough the relatively brittle rock with surprising ease, although they become somewhat smaller.

They develop a special "quake" organ at the tip of their tails. This organ is covered with metal lumps, and underneath them, are exremely string vibration muscles. They can generate such immense vibrations with this organ, that it causes the obsidian to collapse. Essentially, these creatures cause minor earthquakes under the feet of their prey, and as the ground they stand on is swept under them, they fall to their deaths, as the worm quickly snatches them.

The next issue for the Matriarch were the beasts that can fly or shoot projectiles. It would need to make something that can counter both at the same time. Its next target was titandonis and houyi. Capturing them would be hard but with the new tusmals it would be easier. after many failures came the success. Queen started to work with the genes of these two creatures and after many trials gave birth to the biggest Pusmal creature to be seen. Wusmal is 30m tall and has eyes all over it's body so it has 360degree eyesight. In front it has extendable tongue which tip is diamond hard and coated with poison. At the tail it has organ that let's it shoot the spines same way as other creatures in the desert. but the main point of Wusmal is transportation. Its muscles and fat can take the ranged attacks of other creatures with ease and within itself there is numerous holes that let Pusmal and Rusmals to travel safely.

The volcanic houyi develop foldable skin crest on their backs. The crest is supported by long hollow bones, which the creature can move up and down, allowing it to fold the crest when it needs to.

The houyi use these crests to manage their body temperature better in the hot obsidian plains. They raise their skin crests against the wind, allowing them to cool themselves down, as the skin is teeming with blood veins.

This adaptation allows the snake like creatures to be more active during the day, thus they can hunt more.

I rather original content. It brings new life to the world and helps people not to fall into old ruts.

However if the tribute character is done properly (all the evolutions that led to that point make sense for the environment and base creature) then I have no problems.

I was mostly confused by your things, as I didn't get the reference. If you want to go down with the whole bioengineering route, you might just want to tone the speed down a little bit.
Simply copying exact features from other things in one generation is kinda cheap.

The bodies of the Suzumou change as their worm hosts start providing them with ready made homes.
Their legs grow stronger, allowing them to fully support their weight on them. Their acid glands atrophy, as they no longer need to melt through the thick skin of the worm.
Their communication "wings" become longer, allowing them to transmit more complex messages trough the bioluminescence of these wings.

Their primitive religion also develops. They now see the worm as their own personal gods, that beget them, and grant them shelter, for exchange of food sacrifices. They have also started to react violently if they see a juvenile worm being harmed. They don't actively try to protect them, but if they spot a worm in trouble, they will come to it's aid, even if the worm might kill it's saviors, as the juvenile worms do not feel connection to the Suzumou.
The worm will remember the act though, and in later life, it might be more welcoming to it's small worshipers.

A splinter species of the ambush houyi develops extremely acute eyesight, as well as powerful extra air-sacks to their pressure lungs, allowing them to propel javelins very far.
They hunt by stalking stalking their prey, and then shooting them from a clear distance, so they can avoid harm. They then use their elongated legs to quickly skitter to their kill, and devour it. They use their sharp tail blades to deter any would be thieves from their prey.

These creatures hunt in the plains, flouz creatures are especially to their liking, as they are easy to pop, and then follow as they fall to the ground.

The tentaflouz having increased predation have begun to adapt. They begin to expel gasses at irregular rates causing their bodies to vibrate. When shot down by the accurate houzi their bodies shudder violently and send vibrations through the plains. This draws the electric plain wurms to their corpses, dissuading the houzi from hunting them en mass.

The competition between the slizers and the jet wespars for the reign of the skies has finally caused developments.

The massive slizers were often unable to defend themselves against the fast and agile jet bugs, who shredded the fragile wings of the flying slizers, causing them to fall to their deaths.

As they were in the brink of extinction, some slizers developed additional acid glands in the former water intakes at their sides. They use these glads to excrete a haze of caustic fluids, which upon entering the "jets" of the wespar, cause them to spontaneously explode, as the acids react with their organic fuels.

The slizers use these acid clouds to shield themselves against the jet wespar's attacks.

In addition to the vibrations the tentaflouz's new diet on this continent has led to it storing more volatile gasses. Upon being punctured they crash sparking the gas mixtures they contain. They swell and explode helping to draw in wurms and maim any ambush houzi that get too close to their downed prey.

I like this update, and I like that name you called them. Houzi. Yeah, I am pretty sure that I will start calling the tripod ones houzi, the snake ones houyi and the running ones can stay as devils. Now there are nice names for all the subgroups!

Anyways, the sniping houzi quickly learn that the vibrating sacks of flesh will herald the coming of a GODDAMN landworm! They slowly stop preying upon the adult flouz creatures, but young ones still belong to their diets, as they generate far less vibrations when they die.

Their main food is once again, social burrogs.
They usually shoot them into soft parts, such as eyes, sides, ankles, anywhere were they lack armor. To discourage any would be kill sealers, the lubricant mucus their javelins use has started to smell and taste horrible, and when the javelin hits the target, this mucus spreads and sticks to the carcass, and quickly forms a revolting digestive membrane over it.

The snipers aren't jet immune to the taste either. They are bloody furious when they are eating.

The running devils become even faster. They lose their horns, as they develop to fin like spikes at the top of their carapace, in order to reduce drag, their legs also became even more suited for running.

The movable claws near their knees develop into long talons, which they use to settle disputes between the individuals, as well as for hunting.

This gives me something interesting to work with.

With having the more volatile gasses in their bodies, the pressure reliefs, air jets, and filtration organs of the tentaflouz have to adapt. The air jets become more movable as well as capable of releasing more controlled amounts of gas. Since these gasses react violently with the air, flames often spout from them. Their pressure relief also routes into the jets.

The sandworms develop special glands in their flesh pouches, that provide nectar like liquids for the Suzumou. This allows grants the worm a greater bounty of the kills of the wespars, as the adults no longer need to eat as much of meat as they ordinarily should. The nectar is mostly just sugars and related substances, which the worm no longer needs as much, as it is largely immobile. It needs the proteins that the meat contains, which earlier would be eaten by the suzumou too. Now that the suzumou eat less meat, the sandworms can produce even more eggs.

In addition, more of the sandwom's nerves have grown within the incubation chambers, allowing the worm to monitor it's little inhabitants better.

I think it's time to finally start reinforcing the fact that these things are smart and give a push toward tribal.

The Tentaflouz find that they can use rocks for a number of purposes. They use them for breaking open the shells of prey, fighting off predators, hammers, etc.

Overtime the power of the firebombs have turned the Tentaflouz into the masterminds of the central plains. They coast on thermals taking down prey as they see fit. Overtime their bodies have adapted to the volatile gasses and have even created intakes to create slightly better burns. Their exhausts have also become more finesse oriented. Though at a full burn they move quite quickly through the air.

Alongside that their eye system has evolved to allow them to escape threats from all angles. These adaptations have allowed the Tentaflouz to become more sociable and learn from one another through dances they perform in the air.

The Tentaflouz have realized the concept of safety in numbers, congregating into large nomadic groups of up to fifteen to thirty. Some houyi begin to use the caverns and otherwise already loosened soil that the landworms have created to build their burrows in. Their front claws become sturdier, to help them dig, and their tail starts excreting resinous substance, that they use to harden the walls of their lairs. They also become somewhat smaller. The digging houyi live in bigger groups than their larger cousins. The group is led by the ruling male and female, who have the privilege of reproduction. The rest of the individuals of the pack are their descendants.

The landworms are a problem to them however, as they can easily breach their burrows. This is why their lairs aren't permanent bases, instead the houyi are constantly ready to move out, in case they feel the tell tale vibrations and the static buildup that signal the arrival of a landworm. They quickly abandon their nests, sometimes intentionally crippling the weak, sick or the elderly to buy time for the rest of the brood as they make their escape.

It is not uncommon for a sbordinate to sacrifice themselves so that other grorrirogs may take down larger beasts such as sand / land worms, wespar, or houyi. As the subordinates develop, they may become Alphas themselevs and will splinter off into their own groups as gorrirogs decide who to follow. Overtime, the Suzumou learn to tap the nerve endings of the worm which end in the pouches.
Nothing much happened, except that sometimes the worm increased the nectar production of the particular chamber, or opened/closed the "door" of the chamber.

At some point however, some Suzumou tried to lick these nerve ends. As the exposed nerves connected with the tongue teeming with nerve-ends, a connection was made. A rudimentary at first, but nevertheless the Suzumou had managed to touch the mind of it's god. As the practice of liking the nerve ends grew, the Suzumous tongue changed. The nerve endings at their tip became more pronounced, allowing them to make a clearer connection with the sandworms.

The mind of the ancient sandworm is vast. Their brains themselves are massive. They are sentient, they remember. Young worms are intelligent, they learn fast, as there is no-one to teach them. The minds of these ancient worms are all but memories. Memories of their past, of the things they have "seen", done and learned.
When the suzumou first connected to the minds of these gods, they were overwhelmed. Their insignificance at the face of their deities blew their minds. Many started seeking advice from the worms, and some times, they received scant pieces of memories, which provided some guidance.

Unbeknown to the wespars, the stimulation they caused by peeking to the minds of these old beings, slowly started to vitalize their ancient brains. They worms slowly grew curious again, drawing new memories from the minds of their worshipers. New sensations, concepts, experiences, all these served to set their minds back in motion.

As the TentaFlouz grow closer to each other so too do their genetics become more streamlined. They no longer need their huge mass of tentacles instead there are now two set of tentacles under their large eyes.

The feeder tentacles remain much as their ancestral versions, used for filtering food and grabbing onto their small prey. However, a new set of tentacles becomes prevalent in large TentacleFlouz communities. These large tentacles split into finer arms and are used shape firebombs. In addition the mouths have a link to the volatile gas chambers and stomach fluids to allow quicker fire bomb creation. In doing so their "hand" tentacles are freed up for other things.

The new light shows are used for communication, their ancestral pheromone sacks withered and gone. Their 360 degree eye sight has developed into a long red gash that sees all around them. At night the TentaFlouz shine light around them creating "clouds" of light where they can see night time predators, and to attract prey.

    Strange things are in motion.
All across the deserts, within the Suzumou communities, strange creatures are born from the worm-flesh. Outwardly, they look mostly like Suzumou, with minor alterations. But they speak with words bearing wisdom far greater than any of the Suzumou before.

The claim to be the prophets of the worm, the gods speak through them. The worms see the world trough them.

It doesn't take long for these worm seers to become the leaders of the Suzumou. The will of the worms is made manifest with their commands. Great hunts are organized, the juvenile worms protected and the worm eggs scattered to suitable areas.

Truly, the gods of the desert are coming forth.

The cultivator Sandoni that colinised the leaf sandoni and Titandoni have not physically changed much in time, though they''ve gained a greater ability to learn and poses a very rudemntry base of a spoken language, a series of clicks and chirps that can convey very simple information.
Most interestingly they've learned to be picky in which Titandonis they colinise, picking only the very largest such that they are less likely to be usddenly killed by a predator. The Titandonis themselves also benfit from the extra care and aid in finding water the flying cultivators provide.
lately the cultivator sandoni have begun introducing new strains of cho to the forrest on the Titandonis back. The most succesful colonies being those that manage to grow Spiked Cho, the extra defence this spine shooting plants provide against predators ensures their home will live longer.

One of the larger flocks of TentaFlouz have taken to raiding the chodoni on Titandoni's backs. They float above and the smaller ones distract the worker chodoni. Meanwhile the largest of the Tentaflouz will unleash a hellstorm on the largest cho plants. Then the fastest of the TentaFlouz swoop in and grab what they can.

However, these raids never totally devastate the Titandoni or their Chodoni populations. The Tentaflouz use them are large roaming farms grabbing food when other sources are scarce.

due to predation by the carrier wespar, the albatross cho evolve out of the swarms' reach rather than attempt to defend physically. they develop additional wing structures and sinuous flexor tissue. this addition to their flight power allows them to reach incredible new heights sometimes exceeding 40km.

to cope with the decreased oxygen levels and much of the available water being in frozen form, the albatross cho have adapted a strange behavior to coincide with a physiological addition: their formerly weaponized sap drains constantly from their seedheads, whose jaws clap rhythmically to cause bursts of heat significant enough to melt airborne ice crystals. the moisture is absorbed further down the body by the multitudinous root-vines along the plant's posterior edge.

Btw IG, what do the Suzumou require to become tribal. Is it necessary for them to be tool using from get go?
    >> Indonesian Gentleman 04/24/12(Tue)04:59 No.18840252
    >>18840114
Tools, or organic tools. In essence, a way for technology (or biotechnology) to be used by them. Current Suzumous only need that to get to tribal stage.

    >>18840094
Well not all of it are intentional. Vyrii was just something to make the Lem nightmare come true (and a catalyst for advancement), Frilla scenario is not gonna happen (but opens up possibility of a new ecosystem that we don't have on Earth), Seed Rehn is accidental, and Shogun Glund marches... yeah, not yet seeing it.

I'm just gonna point out that by the time the desert folks get tribal stage, the Ta'mirel had first contact with the K'Lahk, over at the Western Continent. I'm also guessing the first Albacho round-the-world trip will happen about the time we left the Western Continent to work on the desert, or some time after the Na'suul invented Juggalo Drug. Which means the Eastern Continent will get hit by the Seed Rehn first. This allright with everyone?
    >> Anonymous 04/24/12(Tue)05:01 No.18840262
    >>18840114

    Expanding on this.

I'd like to take the Suzumou to somewhat alien direction, with their symbiosis with the equally sentient sandworms. I think that adding intelligent, sentients who are not necessarily tool using would ad a great variety to the world.

Take for example the houyi. They extremely intelligent, and definitely sapient, but they will never develop tools as their bodies and lifestyle don't support tool using. They are like dolphins, intelligent, maybe even equal to us, but unable to become a "civilization" if you know what I mean. They are a different type of intelligence. They are basically sapient predators, antagonists to the "proper" tool using tribes, but equal in intelligence.

I am not completely canceling out tool using from the Suzumou, but they are far less inclined for it than the Nad'lun for example.
    >> Anonymous 04/24/12(Tue)05:06 No.18840290
    >>18840252

Ok, with me. The Nad'lun have had it far too easy. They are jet innocent to the true nature of this cruel planet.

My thoughts on the Suzumou are in this post:

Hmm, indeed, they could become something intelligent, like the Glud and the Vyrii. Both don't use tools.
Let's just see which one survive in the long run; Would the Suzumou, Vyrii and Glud survive the march of technology?
    >> Anonymous 04/24/12(Tue)05:23 No.18840412
    >>18840329

Well, there is really nothing stopping the Suzumou from developing tools, it just that they don't really need them. They are provided by their "gods" and they are content at worshiping them and providing food for them. They can hunt creatures efficiently enough to not need tools for the task, as they have deadly poison stinger, sharp claws and mandibles for weaponry.

i think i can securely dub the albatross cho in their final stage then, if tribes are on the horizon.

man i love the idea of these massive, lone beings slowly circumnavigating the planet occasionally dropping seedpods, unable even to comprehend the destruction they may sow upon the land, until their incredibly long lives end and they become slowly orbiting detritus in the upper atmosphere.

perhaps some day, far in the future, a dead god may fall from the sky and astound tribes of creatures we couldn't possibly fathom. that was the vision I had for these creatures oh so many threads ago. this world of war and death needed something old and lonely to keep beauty alive.

Pusmal nest/Hive is a lot like the anthill. The Queen matriarch lives in the own chamber where it gives birth all day long. Pusmals also grow their own food like some ants do. they grow Cho in the lowest chamber where there is abundant amount of groundwater. This way the colony can sustain moderate amount of population without external foodsource.

Now i will tell you the difference of the tribal and wild pusmals. You can imagine the wild pusmals just like ants. they have no self-consciousness and the queens job is to give birth and rule. The Tribal Pusmals will be different. They will live mostly above ground, have self-consciousness, are ruled by some individual(s) rather than by queen. The Queen is used as workshop for the purpose of producing tools and more Pusmals. The tribal queen doesn't give birth so often as it loses much energy in being used as factory.

The creature technically still exists(or maybe the lava killed all of the bastards, what with having fur in the desert not being enough) and could become something great given time.

Hey, I have an idea for an evolution of the sand worm/sumozu combine. But I need to know something; Does the Sand worm still have teeth?

I was thinking that, maybe, when a sand worm reaches godhood, his teeth start to get loose, allowing the sumozu to use them as weapons and tools and maybe simbols of status. this would imply that some of the sand worm´s teeth evolve to be blade-like, while othe theet are more blunt-like, like hammers.

That way, the "tools" are provided by the gods.

If you want to take it to the next level, the sumozu may evolve to, in a way, "fuse" with this fangs.

TentaFlouz gas sacs have evolved to create a move controllable gas. They still can create the hyper volatile gasses but now they have a version that is inert until sparked by something. These gasses will still explode violently when the TentaFlouz are shot down by any brave Houzi.

As a defense against the supersonic Wespar attacks flocks of TentaFlouz have begun creating zones of explosive gasses. When they creating these domes the TentaFlouz stop using their combustion locomotion and instead expel their inert gasses to push themselves around. In doing so they create large zones of inert but explosive gas.

When the supersonic Wespar fly into these gasses their speed ignites the area locally and the Wespar "missles" die in the process, becoming nothing more than charred corpes.

Tablet is not required for great artwork. You can make good quality works with paint but the true challenge is the skill. You must have some knowledge in drawing to make them look good. I'm just saying that tablet alone will not make the art good. it's the skill.

What all do we have for religions in our little setting here?
So far I remember the Soul Wind for the Nad'lun, the union of Kraless and Nemir for the Burrahn, and now the ancient worms. Would that one dark/nightmare being count? And what all is there that I forgot?

I figured some more tangible behaviors and minor things wouldn't be amiss. Though IG/NG can retcon as needed.

Lastér (frowgs) - The spirit of the mountain, Kunaba
Ta'Mirel - Great war prophecy (not really a religion...)
    Nad'Lun - Soul wind
Jenter (western melova) - The sun...forgot their name for it.
Burrahn(eastern Melova) - the union of Kraless and Nemir (sun and giant ass frilla)
Onolkeshan (dark skinned...membraned? Lem) - Knowledge

...these bug/worm things that I sadly don't know the name of... too

Would anyone be angry if I attempted to write a piece of comical fiction involving humanity attempting to colonize this planet? In intend them to fail and be wiped out well before a single cycle.

    Suzumou, currently at least.
I am not sure if I will call the tribe itself that.
non gent gave that name to the species themselves, when I couldn't come up with one myself.

If so, that would have to be further back than what's being edited. They become intelligent after the hands.

Even modern humans needed some tens of thousands of years of behavioural evolution before they started doing modern human stuff like cave paintings, it's not impossible to have a small change occur in the formula of the gas. Though the ability to actually switch between gases is a big step.

Posting the final update to the Suzumou before we hit tribal.

The ancient godworms no longer need the abundance of teeth in their beaks.
The smallest of them begin to fall off, and under the guidance of the wormseers, the suzumou begin to collect these teeth. They are made mainly into tools, such as knives for now though.

All the dots and shit you see on the beak, those are teeth. I also draw the different teeth variants, and their size comparison to each other and the suzumou.
Suzumou are about the size of a ten year olds.
