The year is 2025.

Your name is Dave, and you didn't ask for this.
Once a generic white-collar worker who lived alone save for your cat, you were hit by a car and spent three months in a coma. You awoke to find that your unconscious body had been taken in by the corporation 'Emulsified Electronics', and implanted with an experimental augmentation. You soon found that it allowed you to control electronic devices with your mind. You quickly became embroiled in corporate warfare, fighting the PMC ArmaTek and their employers, Cadmium Dynamics, and there have been incidents with a corp named Kawasagi Infinite. You were recently kidnapped by a group calling itself Resurgence, who claims they're Saving The World. In retaliation, you went all the way to Antarctica, where you took over one of Resurgence's facilities.
>You have 20000 credits.
>You have 2 fate rerolls.
>>
Sitting in front of you is a red case with the symbol of the Cog on it; where you swore your admech army would be. But it's empty. It's sitting open, with a note on the inside.

Twelve was here.

It didn't mention any specific cell. That means that it wasn't a specific group of three agents. . but it was Twelve, directly.

<Dave.> Cyan says. <I'm detecting something strange in this storage container. It seems like a timer.>
>>

>>19137879
OMG IT'S A BOMB

Rollan to disable it.
Don't let me down now
>>
>>19137879
>>19137909
Also, do this in BULLET TIME

I don't want our stored stuff to blow up. That would suck.
>>
It's a bomb, you realize. You close your eyes, and try to hack it, but. . it's jammed. You don't let that stop you. You clench your fist and redouble your effort, and then you feel it deactivate.
You breathe a sigh of relief, and with Cyan's help, dig whatever it was out of the rest of your stuff. You don't ever remember storing a bomb in here. .
>>
>>19137931

Be careful when digging shit up. Especially da BOMB.

We should move our stuff somewhere.
>>
You carefully pull out the bomb. It was a power core, set to overload exactly a hundred and twenty seconds after the storage container opened. How petty could they be?
You sigh. You should move your stuff somewhere. Most of it isn't that important, what with your army gone, but it isn't in your best interest to get it all blown up.
>>
We seriously need Abel's help on this.
These Resurgence assholes are pissing me off, we don't have the skills to counter-intelligence them but Abel does.

>>19137989
Power core? Is it safe now? We should claim it. Tiny loot, yes, but still something. Just drop it off at EE and they will find a use for it.

Check the container for bugs just in case. Then call someone for pick-up and move it to a secure holding in EE, we'll move it later to Arcadia (or whatever we decided its name is).
>>
The power core, for what it's worth, is safe now, as you tear off the timer and slip it into your bag. That done, you close your eyes and check the container, top to bottom, scanning for bugs. You find one, and it seems to be transmitting everything to. . .somewhere.
<Cyan, can you tell where it's transmitting it's info?>
<Negative. It's simply transmitting all information randomly in about a ten mile radius.>
>>
rolled 28 = 28

>>19138052
Rolling for magical hacking procedure to find all the places it is transmitting and then trying to discern which one is the the real one. (doesn't hurt to try, I hope)
>>
>>19138069
Oh well.
Wasn't banking that it would work anyway.

Call Abel and ask him what we can do with the bug, if there is nothing to gain from it, destroy it. Then go back to EE
>>
<Is there any way we can discern where its transmitting to?> You ask.
<Negative. The bug is transmitting actively, and I suspect that whatever is recieving is doing so passively.>

You shrug, and call abel.
"Dave?" He asks.
"Yeah. . I have a bug here." You say. "In my storage container. I suspect it belongs to Resurgence. Anything I can do with it?"
"Well, no, not really." He says. "It's probably best just to destroy it."
"Gotcha." You say, and you crush it between your powersuited fingers.

You find yourself back at EE a few minutes later. You go down to the training room, and, just as you thought, Grayson is in there, testing out the new modifications he's made to his rifle.
"Hey, Dave." Grayson says. "What's up?"
>>
>>19138140
"Well, I need some combat training. I realized that I have no idea what I am doing and anyone who has a moderate cqc expertise can out-perform me unless I get lucky. I heard from Amy that you're real good. So, can you train me and give advice?"

We should start with no power-suit and no tentacles so that we have some basics on unarmed combat. Then we will move up to our full equipment so that we can learn to exploit it fully.
>>
>>19138140
Well, why don't you teach me some moves?
>>
>>19138140
Also, E!

To what extend we can short that teleport time-out?
>>
"Well, I need some combat training." You say. "I realized that I have no idea what I am doing and anyone who has a moderate CQC expertise can out-perform me unless I get lucky. I heard from Amy that you're real good. So, can you train me and give advice?"
"Hmm. . Yeah, I think I can do that." He says. "I'm a bit rusty in CQC, but I can try."

The two of you remove your armor, and find yourself standing on a mat, Grayson staring you down.
"Now, we're going to start with the basics." He says, and moves toward you. "Watch closely."

An hour later, your entire body is sore, having been thrown and beat by Grayson in every way you can imagine.

"Come on, Dave, you can do better than that." Grayson's saying, sweating profusely. He pulls you up, and the two of you take a ten minute breather before continuing.
"Now, while it's important not to telegraph your moves, I don't think that'll be possible with your mechandrites." He says, pointing over to your power suit. "Just the way they're built- you need to whip them back before you can whip them forward."
>>
>>19138273
Listen intently to his advice and note it all down.
If he is up to it, have another hour or two of training.

Also, I've been meaning to ask this, how is Dave's body anyway? He was just an office drone and has been in coma for 3 months. I doubt that he has a strong, muscled body. We should have him lift weights and exercise every day for an hour. I'm sure Grayson can give us tips on lifting too
>>
>>19138273
And what if we USE! bullettime in CQC combat with Grayson?

TRY THIS!

Also, why don't we make Magneta learn all the tactics for CQC and teach us in beetween our mind?
>>
>>19138311
The point of this training is NOT to use our special abilities. We're trying to get some mundane combat expertise which we can personalize later
>>
>>19138273
They will look for just that, won't they?
Surely we can use that to feint?
>>
>>19138273
Well, people have been stupid enough to develop fighting styles emplying whips before, we should probably check those out later on.
>>
>>19138305
>Dave used to be in pretty good physical condition before the accident. When he got knocked into the coma, that deteriorated a bit, but he's still not that bad.

"That'll look for that, won't they?" You ask. He nods. "Then surely I can use that to feint."
He gives you a fierce grin. "That's the spirit, Dave." He says.

"How long do you intend on training?" Grayson asks half an hour later.
"Another hour or two, maybe." You say. "I need some good, solid combat experience- without my cybernetic gadgets helping me."
"Well, that's fine with me." He responds, and then the two of you are at it again.

"Oooh, that looked like it hurt." Amy said, looking down at you after a rather nasty cross-counter. For her information, you're not sure you can even feel pain anymore. "You two been at this all morning?"
"For the most part, yeah." Grayson said. "He's gotten a bit better."
>>
>>19138379
>Dave used to be in pretty good physical condition before the accident. When he got knocked into the coma, that deteriorated a bit, but he's still not that bad.
That's good. Still we should spend up to 30 minutes each day to keep it that way.

I guess we had enough for today. Thank Grayson and have some rest. Eat some food drink some water, etc
>>
"I think I've had enough for today." You say, still lying on the cool mat.
"Fine with me." Grayson said. "At your level, even a little bit of this would help you."
"Thanks, John." You say.
Amy grinned. "Hey, Grayson. You and I. Let's spar." She said, with a mischevious look.

Grayson and Amy were both standing on opposite ends of the mat, as you sit by.
"You got your legs toned down to human levels?" Grayson asks, and she nods. "Good. I don't want a broken jaw."
They dove towards one another, and after a blur that was all counters, dodges, and feints, Amy executed a perfect roundhouse kick and threw Grayson onto his back. She pulled him back up. "You're rusty." She said.
"I'm exhausted, too." He responded.
"Yeah, I know. But you still would have lost."
"Ayup."

"Daaave." Amy said, as you donned your power suit again. "I think I got the two modules working on a single core."
>>
>>19138467
"Want me to test it out then?"
"Alright, lets go."
>>
"Want me to test it out, then?" You ask.
"Of course."
"Alright, lets go." You say, and the two of you roam on over to Amy's workshop.
"First, the stealth module." She says, connecting your cable to it. You close your eyes, and activate it, your body and suit vanishing.
"Looks like it works." She says, and disconnects it. "And we know the power shield works, so let's just connect the dual core."
She connects a different, larger core to your cable.
"Okay, now try." She says.

A few red sparks burst from your power suit, and then you vanish.
"It's. . not perfect." She says. "There's like, a bubble of distorted light around you. Try walking around."

You take a few steps back, and then she looks this way and that. "Yeah, when you move, the distortion gets worse, but. . when you're perfectly still, it's almost impossible to see you unless I already know you're there." She says. Then she grins. "I think it's a success."
>>
>>19138561
"Can it be improved if more work is done on it?"

<Guys, do you have any ideas how to improve it?>
>>
>>19138561
"Well, surely you can improve it?"
>>
rolled 59 = 59

>>19138561
See if we can somehow improve it?
>>
"Any chance of improving it?" You ask.
"Well, the chance is there, of course, but it wasn't easy to set up a stealth field and power shield to work at the same time." She says. "I'm actually pretty sick of working on it." She admitted. "Of course, if you deactivate the power shield, then the stealth field automatically kicks in at it's normal quality, but I don't think I can get both working perfectly at the same time."
>>
>>19138601
"Have I just heard you say you can't do something? Wow, that's a first."
>>
>>19138601
"If you're sick of working on it, what if we give it over to EE technicians and scientists? They could iron it out, no?"
"Also, you should patent your inventions or something. Like those Ravens you're building."
>>
"Have I just heard you say you can't do something?" You ask. "Wow, that's a first."
"Psh, plenty of things are impossible for me." She said. "Like. . . getting the power shield and stealth field working together, and. . . "
"And?" You ask.
". . . I can't think of anything else." She admitted, after a moment. Then she sighed. "So, want me to install this dual core into your suit? Then I can leave a few spares for the techs to work on, see if they can improve it."
>>
>>19138653
Grin "Yes, that would be great"
"I must say this is amazing. I didn't think I would be able to get both the cloak and the shield"
"How is the hoverplate project doing? Have you installed them on your legs already?"
>>
"That would be great." You say, and she gets to work.
"You're just dating me for my technical expertise, aren't you?" She asks, and then sticks her tongue out at you.
"Yeah, that's it." You say sarcastically. "How's the hoverplate project going? You installed them on your legs already?"
"Oh, yeah. I had those done by the time we assaulted the dome. I can even fly for short periods." She said. "That's why I haven't been on my rollers lately. I might install wheels on my overchargers- it feels weird not to be able to roll around."

>Stealth Module Upgrade acquired!
>>
>>19138736
"Hovering is better than rolling around, no?"
"What are you going to work on now?"
>>
"Hovering is better than rolling around, no?" You ask.
"No way. Rolling is better." She says. "I like the noise it makes."
"What are you planning to work on now?"
She shrugs.
"No clue. I was toying with the idea of making a lightsaber out of a very powerful and well-arranged set of magnets and some plasma, but. . I'm not even sure that's possible."

Light up and grin at the mention of lightsabers.
Pat Amy on the shoulder and tell her we will support her.
>>
You give her a wild grin. "Do iiit." You say. "I'll support you."
She breaks out into laughter. "The look on your face, Dave. Yeah, I'll probably screw with it. I have a few ideas, but it might take way too much power to work for very long. Plasma is only really good for projectiles, usually." She says.
>>
>>19138857
"Doesn't matter. I mean, it's lightsabers!" Keep smiling.
>>
"Doesn't matter. I mean, it's lightsabers!" You say.
"So, even if it only worked for half a second, and did no appreciable damage in that time, you'd still be happy with it because it's 'lightsabers'?" She asked.
You nod.
"Okay, then I'll get to work." She said, walking over to a terminal in her workshop. She started running through a few design programs. "You're strange, Dave." She says.
>>
>>19138914
"You're the one who's strange" smile. Then start flailing around invisible light saber while making lightsaber noises.

"Wait, don't tell me you haven't seen Star Wars movies?"

Maybe we'll FINALLY move into our new apartment?
>>
>>19138964
No, but flirting does not move the plot anywhere.
Well, maybe I would have something, but I just jumped in without reading any of the previous threads.
You catch my drift? Well, not anymore once we get hovering.
>>
>>19138976
Maybe.
Yeah, you're right.

Though we haven't yet decided if we want to move to Doom Fortress and forget about the apartment. With Amy's ravens we could travel there in 30-50 minutes.
>>
"You're the one who's strange." You say, making lightsaber noises and swinging around an imaginary lightsaber. "Wait. . don't tell me you haven't seen-"
"I've seen Star Wars. All of them." She said. "I mean, come on, give me some respect."
You chuckle.
"Well, I should probably go do something productive." You say. "Like, finally moving my stuff into Grayson's apartment. Well, our apartment, now."
"Hasn't it been like, three days since you were kicked out of B-3?" She asked. "Where have you been sleeping?"
"Well, sometimes in Abel's safehouse, sometimes on a specific young lady's couch. . ." You say.
"I see." She says, and then tosses you some keys. "Verne won't mind if you use his car. Although, nowadays, it's more like mine." She shrugs. "You won't even need to refuel it, because I tossed a power core in there weeks ago. Have fun."
"Yeah. . heavy lifting. Fun." You say.

An hour later, you finally bring the last of your stuff to Grayson's apartment. You left all the stuff you didn't need, like a few cabinets, dressers, and all of the minor furniture, but you did move over your bed, clothing, an old computer that Abel built for you a few years ago. . .
"Home, sweet home." You say to nobody in particular.
>>
>>19139019
Great.
Have a nap, eat some sandwich. Play some video games of ye old.

Contemplate on what to do next.
>>
First things first. It's been a whole four hours since you ate breakfast.
You need a sandwich.
But you aren't the kind of roommate who just steals food. . .so you walk down to the grocery store, whistling a tune, in complete power armor with your mechandrites waving about, you purchase a ton of food. You hardly even notice the pedestrians getting as far away from you as possible anymore. Seeing as you've eaten nothing but fast food and the rare home cooked meal, you're glad to finally have a place where you can make real food. Bringing it all back to the apartment, you load up the all-but-empty refrigerator. The way it looks, Grayson hardly keeps anything in there.

Your shopping trip done, you make yourself a truly delicious sandwich, consume it, and then lie on your bed. Finally, for the first time in two and a half weeks or so, you finally feel. . normal.
Then you realize that you're still technically an organic, conscious mind stuck inside of a cybernetic spinal trinket that's currently wired into your nervous system. That's not actually normal at all.
Suddenly, you don't feel like you can sleep.

So instead you play video games.
>>
>>19139019
>>19139157
We've just been so busy lately with corporate attacks we forgot how to spend downtime. Start working on reconstructing our AM army, see if there are any sites that sell miniatures, they might not be right but we can modify them to look like we remember.
>>
>>19139157
>Then you realize that you're still technically an organic, conscious mind stuck inside of a cybernetic spinal trinket that's currently wired into your nervous system. That's not actually normal at all.
>Suddenly, you don't feel like you can sleep.

Bullshit. If anything we can sleep when we want to, like a lightswitch. Should be great to just fall asleep immediately, I love when that happens.

>>19139164
We were thinking of using that machine we have back in EE. You know, the one that uses atomic-goo? We could have them actually walk around and everything. Would be so cool.
>>
After a half hour of losing horribly against people in korea, You groan, and decide that you could start reconstructing your admech army. You start searching for someplace, anyplace that knows anything about warhams, but. . nothing. It's like Warhammer 40k had vanished off of the face of the earth or something.

Screw it, you think, and you order a 3D printer. You can make your own goddamn miniatures. And without using the prohibitively expensive 'atomic goo', like you were thinking.

"Yo, Dave." Grayson says, walking in. "Amy told me you were moving in. How are you finding things?"
"I stuffed your fridge full of food." You say, and he chuckles.
"That's fine- I never eat anything but fast food."
>>
>>19139211
That's not healthy you know, I mean it'll work but a proper meal is better for you and you can actually get some variety in there.

Hell we don't even have to be in the kitchen, I can turn a bleeding edge top of the line suit of power armor into a robo-butler chef.

Grayson, what are agents supposed to do when we're not dealing with crises? Because this is the first bit of actual down time I've had since I woke up from the coma.
>>
>>19139211
Dave should definitely cook something for Grayson.

>NO HOMO!
>>
>>19139211

>>
"Hey, Grayson. what are agents supposed to do when we're not dealing with crises?" You ask. "Because this is the first bit of actual down time I've had since I woke up from the coma, and. . I have no idea what to do with my day off."

He shrugs. "You're asking me? The guy who lives in an almost empty room, sleeps on a cot, eats only fast food, and spends all day training or tinkering with my rifle? Hell, you're asking the wrong guy here."
>>
>>19139287
"Haha, you're right.
Guess, I'll go and find something to do then."

Lets just kill some time. Go out for a walk, go to town and just wander about, looking at stuff, doing nothing in particular.
Of course, while wearing our full combat gear.

then call Amy. "Amyyyyy. I'm booooooored!"
>>
>>19139287
Snicker about him talking about tinkering with his rifle. You raise an awful good point. My other options were Amy, who spends it working on technical projects, Jun who is married to her job, Mark who also lives in a garage working on stuff and the KI agents who probably are about the same as you.

Whip up some grub for the two of us, make a nice large batch of stew or curry that will have leftovers for a few days. If we need a few extra groceries and don't have the right spices we'll go out to a local Indian market/grocery store, in full powered armor.
>>
>>19139336
We could call Lucca and Lucas and ask them to hang out or something.
>>
>>19139353

"Got it." Lucas says. "Lucca, you keep your drones cloaked, and cover me and Dave. I'll sneak in."

She nods, and straps herself into the chair, moaning as the needles stab into her implant. "I'm in." She whispers. "KI gave us. . Four heavy drones, eighteen light drones, six recon. I think trying to handle the light drones might be a waste for now, so I'll leave them until I need them."

"Ready?" You ask Lucas. He nods, and then fades away.
"Mission start." He responds.

You crouch near the fence, making sure to get as far as you can from the dogs, while still close enough to hack them. You close your eyes, and focus. . .

You access one, and you can tell that it's fully robotic and mechanized- no power suits here. Apparently, from what you can tell, it's recieving constant orders from some kind of controller. You try to spoof the controller, and replace it's orders with your own. .

The dog twitches, and falls to the ground, inactive.

Whoops, you think, as the other hounds approach where the first one fell.

You quickly get the fallen dog to stand back up, spoofing the controller, and the dogs lose their interest, believing it to be working again. You access the other hounds, not directly controlling them quite yet.

<Cyan, can you triangulate where the controller is?> You ask.
<Affirmative- it's the machine inside the warehouse- it appears to be a computer system with direct human control.>

"I'm on the roof." Lucas says. "How are things out there?"
"Quiet, still." Lucca responds. "Dave, we'd best get the distraction started around now, or Lucas won't get a chance."

Jump into the fray and start wrecking shit, moving towards the warehouse.
>>

Let's do this shit, cry havoc and let loose the dogs of war. If we can't let loose the dogs leave a swath of destruction towards the warehouse and take control of the machine directly.
>>
"Hounds." You call, standing to your full height. "With me! We shall bring chaos to this place!" You call, and subvert the controller with a quick force of will.

One of the guards notice you, and call out, firing a shot at you. He's quickly piled upon by your mass of hounds.

You twist towards a group of power-suited men who charge out of the warehouse, wielding chainguns, and you fire a swarm of missiles at them, the explosions blowing them back despite their power shields. You approach the warehouse, as the controller keeps trying to reassert control of the hounds. But your will is still strong, and the hounds are still yours.

"He's here!" one of the powersuited men are calling into a radio, as his power shield is blasting hounds away. "Bullfrog is here! Send Project Immortal!"
>>
>>19139795
Dogs, do you want to properly funtion forever?
>>
>>19139851
We're ready, let's rip this fucker apart. The dogs ought to be able to keep the rest of them plenty busy while we tear Kell into little bits and stuff each bit in a different container. No reason to be anything other than extreme, prepare the Javelin and remember our earlier CQC lessons.
>>
"Hounds, do you want to live forever?!" You cry, and monomolecular teeth tear through the power suits of the enemy soldiers.
"I'm in." Lucas says. "Infiltration successful."
"There's something coming." Lucca says. "In a heli. And it's in a real hurry, too."

You look into the distance, and see a helicopter flying above your head. Right as it gets above you, something leaps out, and collides in front of you.

It's Kell again. No suprise there.

The suprise, however, is that those four limbs on his back from before were gone- and one of his arms were replaced with a massive, thick shield. He hoisted it up.

"Miss me?" He asked.

Who were you again?

Just keep on pretending that we don't remember him, it's funny.

Ok he has a massive shield, it probably has weapons in it but it's probably mainly defensive. That really makes the javelin less effective, use the hounds and our drones to circle him and strike at his back and flanks, if he over extends himself grab his shield with all of our drites, swing him around and RIP HIS ARM OFF.
>>
>>19139958
Nope. Busy unleashing the hounds of war.

"Who were you again?" You ask.

"Fuck you!" He calls. With all four 'drites, you heave a massive vehicle at him. He raises his shield, but wields it sideways, as if he were blocking with the outer rim of it, and he brings it forward. . slashing the vehicle in half, both sides flying both ways behind him.

"Monomolecular, bitch." He snarls, and you direct a spare hound to leap into him.

He snatches onto the dog's head with his free hand, and flings it at you. You barely dodge out of the way.

One of Lucca's heavy drones start firing at him from behind, but the drone's chainguns are simply sparking off of his power shield.

"Oh, you brought friends." He said. "Too bad that I have multiple power shields now."

You direct another dog at him, but the hound gets blown back by the power shield.

You leap forward, bringing your drites to bear- or so you make him think, as your heavy drites slam up from below, grabbing his shield arm, and you slam him into the ground. He laughs, and raises his free hand. You notice that it's. . much, much larger than it used to be, as are his boots.

He's simply laughing as you slam him repeatedly into the ground. "Oh, this is rich." He says in a mocking tone. "I'm Bullfrog, I'm going to go ahead and try using blunt force to fight my enemy in superheavy, extra-plated power armor."

He leaps to his feet, and wild cables burst from his removed arm, whipping around wildly.

You activate bullet-time, and close you eyes to hack his power cores. . You're able to turn a few of them off, but for the others, you can't quite get past the jamming.

Something collides with your chest- he's launching toward you, a jetpack on his back boosting him forward, his power shield repulsion pushing him forward, faster. You're barely able to bring your 'drites in front of you in time, and the collision blasts you back.

You draw out your Javelin, and you notice that his helmet is gone again. His missing eye covered by a thick plate, and he kneels near his removed shield arm, the cables still whipping about wildly.

Well, Dave's tried to be amiable to his enemies since Tolstoy. Tolstoy, however, was completely insane even before Cadmium Dynamics fucked with her head, so she was nothing but a mindless death machine, like most combat drug users, a zombie, but all the time. Kell's still got his faculties and I think he's just in it for revenge on us. I think we can try to diplomance him if we try hard enough.

And the 'beating our arse' note is irrelevant since we just broke his neck and smashed his face with his own shield-fist. Speaking of which, we should continue with that until he seems disabled. Do we have any way we can foul up his stumps so he can't start reattaching limbs? If so, do that. It'll make him easier to transport if he's a limbless stumpy git.

And where are the hounds? We haven't used them since they bounced off the shield. He might pull the same DDOS bullshit on us, but it's worth a try to start tearing him up bit-by-bit with our doggies.

Next time when we get downtime, lets not waste it searching for more mission, shall we?

"I can't say I know much either." Jun said. "It seems that CD is being very secretive about him- Abel's been looking since yesterday, but he hasn't found anything useful. They're acting as if whatever he is, and the technology surrounding him, is completely top secret. If he keeps upgrading differently than the time he fought you in Mark's plane, then they must be sinking tons of money and supplies into him. "Possibly." She said.
"Hey, do you have any ideas how to bypass jammed equipment? I'm running into this problem more and more lately. Could you work on something?" You ask. She steeples her fingers.
"Well, your cables create a direct connection, and make it easier for you to hack, correct?" She asks, steepling her fingers. "I might be able to upgrade your augment and drive a cable through your arm- then set up something similar to an EM hammer connected to the cable. Whatever signal you give off, the EM hammer should amplify that- if that doesn't work, then you can at least hack easier by contacting whatever it is you want to, just by pressing the Hammer's palm to it." She says. "I'll get to work on the design, but it may take some time."

>>
"The Drites." You say, and he takes them for you. "Also, it seems everyone has a power shield these days, so the gatling gausses have pretty much become redundant. Any idea what to replace them with? Something that can pierce or at least damage the shields?"

"Well. . Hmm. . Grayson was telling me about Sigma's rifle, and the way his bullets have internal power cores set to overcharge. We could set up those, but you'd have a limit of how fast they can fire. Alternatively, Amy's been screwing about with making some kind of contained plasma blade- she hasn't gotten far, instead only making these. . flamethrowers, I suppose you could say. We could tie those in, but they would be exclusively medium-to-short-range."
>>
>>19141357
"Yeah, lets do it. Guns like Sigma had. I can deal with low rate of fire if it means that the shots will count."

"Maybe when Amy is ready with lightsabers, we can put them in too."

After that go see Amy.
>>
>>19141357
I'm mainly in a medium to short range arena anyways. If I need long range it tends to be against something big and I use the Javelin. I'd go for the exploding bullets, we already are deadly as hell in melee, our problem is longer ranges.

Also are there any ways to make the power claws more chompy and murdery?
>>
>>19141357
"We could go with one of each, divided between the 'drites. Or stick both on, if there's room. Gotta be versatile. Light targets will be shredded better than these gatling gausses and even heavy targets won't like taking a gout of plasma to the face, and power bullets will shred shields and armor as well as turn regulars to fine red mist. Considering the terror created by a plasma flamethrower I doubt I'll actually have to hurt anyone with it; it'll be an instant rout."

What do you know about it? Anyways, artillery and a flamethrower. So I can go all WWI on Cadmium's asses."

"One piercing, one artillery." You say.
"Ah, going for adaptive, eh?" He asked. "Got it. One of each."

"Well, it uses nuclear fission to propel its shots, mostly." He says. "It causes very small nuclear explosions, focused via a very, very strong barrel to keep the entire thing from exploding. The only downside is that the recoil is pretty rediculous."

You shrug, and watch as he puts together the two 'drites, using the synthesis machine to generate a barrel out of 'atomic goop' for the artillery drite, and setting up a long ammo feed for the piercing drite. "You going to want retractable knives in them too?" He asks, and you nod.

"Daaave." Amy says, from behind you. You turn back to look at her, and she gives you a wild grin. She's holding the gauntlet to a power suit, and it has what looks like plasma barrels attached to the top of it.

"The thing can last forever!" She said. "There's no cooldown problems, because once it starts up, it only has to run very slightly to restore any plasma that's been lost."

this, plus

"...on second thought I LOVE that grin Amy; lets get going."
>>
>>19141861
Yay! Sexy times!
>>
>>19141861
Could we turn ourself into an artillery platform with a bit of work, not for most missions but have the option available to do so if we need to say blow gunships and planes out of the sky.

...pardon me I'm off to /d/ to watch some tentacle porn...

just kidding...

you be awesome dude...
>>
We have high tech around, we have masive energy sources.
Why don't we have laser weapons?
>>
>>19141910
>They can't miniaturize light sources enough to be able to focus a laser as a weapon- at least on handheld scale. On vehicle scale, it's possible, however.
>>
rolled 67 = 67

>>19141923
at what point do we start being qualified as "vehicle"?

also I do hope you start the next thread with some commic 'faded to black' comments and exclamations
>>
>>19141956
>Sorry to let you down, but tomorrow's thread will start after the sexy times. This end-of-thread was the official fade to black.
>>
>>19141923
So we could mount a laser cannon onto a plane or large drone?
>>
>>19141989
>On a heavy drone, no. On a plane, possibly. A standard laser is about tank-turret sized, but when it has enough coolant, it can fire lasery death nonstop.
>>
rolled 96 = 96

>>19141972
oh I wasn't asking for details just that you start with

PRAISE THE OMNISIAH! (or something)

and then start as if nothing has happened afterward
>>
>>19141972
We didn't happen to do the dirty deed on any workshop spaces or the Ravens, did we? Because doing this in a cluttered armory-workshop with all sorts of high tech gadgets and weaponry everywhere seems a little dangerous. What if we accidentally take out a section of the building's windows or wall by accidentally bumping our fantabulous ass into a death ray's activation switch or screwed while flying across the city on the back of our pimp-ass hoverbike by accidentally sticking a foot to the throttle?
>>
>>19142016
I was thinking something the size of a spectre.
Since we have problems having our projectiles connect, we should possibly tech it up and just bypass the shields with lasers.
>>
rolled 63 = 63

>>19142035
now, I'm imaging the apoplexy of first Verne and then Amy's mother when they find out what their daughter is doing while flying at low altitude, and high velocity...

or the holes in the walls and upholstery
>>
>>19142035
>While the workshop is full of tables with random high-tech gadgets, and the two Ravens suspended in the air, there are still several clear spaces, such as the couch and TV area, or perhaps Amy's bed, and the table next to the kitchenette. The garage is actually very large and not that cluttered, all things considered.
>>
rolled 1 = 1

shhhhh! youre ruining the mental images I've constructed of that place over time; and by extension the antics taking place.
>>
So what made Amy to go all sexy on us?

Kinda weird if you ask me
>>
>>19142162
Then we will utilize all of these spaces, and laugh anytime someone else is using them.
>>
>>19142182
We've been going out, but never actually got any sexy times due to reasons.
>>
rolled 96 = 96

I think he means that her living area is A garage, but not necessarily the one in the basement of EE.

and further I think that it is otherwise unocupied save by projects and work area
>>
>>19142182
>In the last thread, after waking up, Amy asked you if you two ended up doing anything. the reason she wasn't sure was because the night before, she had A Dream. Spent most of the day thinking about said dream.

>>19142179
>The garage is essentially a large, one building where all of Amy's belongings are- she uses one corner as a kitchenette, the other corner as a den-slash-living room, and the rest of it is mostly all a workshop area.
>>
>>19142265
>the reason she wasn't sure was because the night before, she had A Dream. Spent most of the day thinking about said dream.

Oooh, was it a Sexy dream?
>>
>>19142275
>Yes, yes it was.
>>
>>19142284
>>19142265

Man, I was afraid that we would have to work really hard to get sexy times. Like, taking it slowly and finally doing it after a nice romantic date to set the mood and all that cliche jazz.

Amy is more assertive than I thought.

I hope Verme doesn't get too pissed at us. Though I don't understand why he would want to shelter her from "that"... I mean, she has been killing people for last 6 years.
>>
>>19142314
He's going to sock us one, man, it's inevitable.
>>
rolled 19 = 19

I think it has to do with the whole "cleaning the shotgun" thing

Verne is as protective as he is because it is expected; and so that the cowards get scared away
>>
>>19142314
Well he's a mercenary but he's also her uncle and main parent figure, he probably has a lot more experience with keeping her covered in combat than relationship advice
>>
Late to the dance, but a few notes:

Next time, we kill Kell. We do it by overloading his shields, then fragging every power core he has. No close combat, no monologues. Just alpha strike the everloving fuck out of him as soon as he shows face. On the plus side, our plasma blade should be able to take care of crazy zombification cables.

We might even want some drones for this. Not the standard interface and fuck about kinds. No, some stealthy Predator type drones that loiter and drop kilotons of pain on whatever we tell it to. Preprogrammed mission parameters, only one strike command, and none of this remote hackable shenanigans. Flying blackbodies that rain hate on whatever we're painting with a targeting laser when we send the word "go" on the right frequency.

Also, are there any kinds of restrictions, treaties, or laws that would keep us from developing Rods from God? We could use our supermetals and some precise targeting systems. Nothing says FUCK YOU like six feet of ultradense mass punching into you at double-digit multiples of the speed of sound, preferably with an EFP or a fusion blast deployed on point of impact.
>>
>>19144428
>No close combat, no monologues
>no monologues

I agree with this. What the fuck is up with villain monologues? Why the fuck do you people think we can somehow win him over?
Jesus, lets change places for a moment. Would Dave turn coat and join CD if Kell started spouting some bullshit? Hell no! Consider that Kell might have his own "Amy" in CD, his own "bro-Abel", his own scientist that saved him brought back to life. He has as much reason to stay loyal to CD as we do to EE.
Besides that, he is also a powerful opponent who has a chance to take us out, he's not going to stand down and surrender due to some lines.
