>>Character bios and Dave's new shiny backstory can be found at: http://pastebin.com/SbPd3kJm

The year is 2025.

Your name is Dave, and you didn't ask for this.
Once a generic white-collar worker who lived alone save for your cat, you were hit by a car and spent three months in a coma. You awoke to find that your unconscious body had been taken in by the corporation 'Emulsified Electronics', and implanted with an experimental augmentation. You soon found that it allowed you to control electronic devices with your mind. You quickly became embroiled in corporate warfare, fighting the PMC ArmaTek and their employers, Cadmium Dynamics, and there have been incidents with a corp named Kawasagi Infinite. You were recently kidnapped by a group calling itself Resurgence, who claims they're Saving The World. In retaliation, you went all the way to Antarctica, where you took over one of Resurgence's facilities. After assisting KI and EE in a mission to finally destroy CD, you and Amy Tolstoy both went into hiding in the facility you had taken, using your time to hunt down and destroy Resurgence.
>You have 50000 credits.
>You have 1 fate reroll.
>>
Amy's grinning when you wake up. Large bags sit under her eyes, and it looks like she hadn't slept at all last night.
"Daaave. The drones finished your new power armor." She said. "I'm still working on that force multiplier. The. . mobile carrier slash flying heavy armor. . thing. The heavy vehicle." She said, her voice trailing off at the end. "We won't have enough goop for it. . but I think we can get the parts from other places."
>>
"What kind of other places?"
"Well, we need a ton of hover plates from KI or EE delivered, which might take awhile unless we can talk Omega into it, and we also need a building-sized power core, and some real computing power. I'm. . not exactly sure where we could get those, not at first. Maybe we could steal them from somewhere. . " she said, then shook her head. "I need some more coffee."
>>
>>19187639
"Amy, you should take a rest."

>We won't have enough goop for it
"We still have a lot of money left... unless you considered that in your calculations"

>I'm. . not exactly sure where we could get those, not at first. Maybe we could steal them from somewhere. .
"Well, I don't have any ideas, to be honest."
>>
>>19187639
"You should take counsel of your pillow. You've been overworking yourself."
>>
"We still have a lot of money left. . . unless you considered that in your calculations."
"I did." She said. "We only have like, eighty five thousand credits left, after your armor. That might be enough for the Luin and the rest of the weapons, but not enough for the frame, plating, power core, or computer."
"Well, I don't have any ideas, to be honest."
"I might have some, but . . I'm not sure." She said. "I'm thinking we can go to some of CD's bases before they go under, and steal the computers and power core from them."
"You should take a rest, first." You add.
"But. ." She frowns. "Nevermind, you're probably right."
>>
>>19187840
"or we could raid your parents house..... just kidding. Go have some sleep, dear."
>>
"We could raid your parents' house. . " You say. "Just kidding."
Her eyes widen. "I *could* talk to my parents. They have all sorts of connections; we could see if they could get freebies for us."
"Just go take counsel of your pillow." You say. "You did get shot yesterday, and you've obviously been overworking yourself."
". . Yeah. . ." She frowned. "I'll go do that. But if something happens, you wake me. Kay, Dave?"
>>
>>19187879
"Sure thing, honey."
>>
"Sure thing, honey."
"Pshhh. . ." She snorts at your choice of endearment, and twists off her legs, wrapping herself in blankets...
She just took your bed. And on purpose, too, you think.

The halls of Valhalla are unusually cold and lonely, all of a sudden. It occurs to you that only you and Amy are in the building. It's entirely possible that EE is fighting Resurgence right now, and right this second. The thought makes you feel like you're just wasting time, standing here.
>>
heh, I can Imagine Dave thinking that he might want to ask his parents for money too.

And do it by flying to their big estate in NY, blowing up the gate and the front door, then standing in the foyer flailing his tentacles wildly and yelling "Daaaave's back!"
Then going up to his parents and going "Listen, I need some money. And by some, I mean hundreds of thousands of credits."

> It's entirely possible that EE is fighting Resurgence right now, and right this second. The thought makes you feel like you're just wasting time, standing here.
That's not cool.
Lets go to the control room and start info-mining/scanning/looking at news to see what's happening with KI and EE and then the world. Also look for news and info about CD.
>>
You suddenly think of your parents.
It's been years, but... They have money. You need money. And if you don't get it, people you care about could be in danger. . .
You'll need to think more about opening that door, though.

You get up, and go to the control room. Immediately, Talos greets you and boots up the computer for you. You slip on the goggles, and start info-mining.

<Hey, Dave.> Abel's dropbox tells you. <Nothing big has happened as of this morning, but we're keeping an eye out. This dropbox works pretty much exactly like the one in the fast food place, except this one only works between Hlidskjalf and my safehouses.>

<Things are still pretty busy- CD's pretty much all been pushed back to moscow for repairs, and while they're there, KI and EE have been snatching up their old bases. Other than that, nothing's happening.>
>>
>>19188046
Send him reply message
<Oh that's great. Make sure to immediately notify me if something happens>
<Talos, when I get new messages in the drop-box, please notify me.>

<]Amy has been building some sweet stuff for me, other than that nothing happened. Speaking of which, do you know where we could get a building-sized power core and some real computing power?>
>>
<Oh, that's great.> You reply. <Make sure to immediately notify me if something happens. Amy's been building sweet stuff for me, but other than that, nothing has happened. Speaking of which. . do you know where we can get a building-sized power core and some real computing power?>

"Talos, notify me when I get new messages in the drop-box." You say.
"I will do so immediately, sir." Talos responds, using Valhalla's speakers to do so.

Less than a minute later, the computer pings. "You have a new dropbox message, sir." Talos informs you.

<Dave. I have the perfect place. One of CD's old bases- some of their people are dug in there, and the KI agents are having trouble getting them out. I'm sure you can show up, kick some ass, and get the parts you need. KI hasn't touched it, and EE isn't about to get there anytime soon. I can use my clout to get the KI agents out of there and give you some space.> The message says, and gives you the location of the base.
>>
>>19188046
>>19188084
Afterwards, keep searching for any info about Resurgence we can find.

...We know we checked the whole bunker for bugs and backdoors, but are we sure that the satellite we are using doesn't have them?
>>
>>19188150
<Thanks, will do.... after Amy wakes up at least.>

Question: has Javelin been repaired? or do we not need it anymore since our medium tentacles have plasma bolts?
>>
>>19188173
>The javelin hasn't been repaired; it's still no more than slag. Your medium drites aren't quite as powerful as it, but they're designed for more rapid fire.

<Thanks, will do.> You say. <After Amy wakes up, at least.>
With a ping, you send the message. . And then another bout of paranoia hits you. You close your eyes, and put your hand on the satellite uplink.

Suddenly, you're sixty three thousand miles above the surface of the earth, near the south pole. Many terabytes of information flies through you, as nearly all of the people living in Antarctica rely on you for their network. You sit there, scanning yourself, but. .you don't find anything out of the ordinary.
The uplink, you can tell by direct connection, is working very well as an anonymizer. You realize exactly how significant it was that you were able to track Twelve through the uplink- a normal person, or even a powerful AI, would have a problem doing such a thing.
>>
>>19188222
Lets spy on our new neighbors!

Or if we're being boring, sit around and mine for info about resurgence.
>>
rolled 1 = 1

>>19188222
How about we try and see if we can sense any residual trace of twelve's connection?
>>
>>19188259
Ok, even the dice think that's a stretch.
>>
You try to find some kind of residual trace of twelve's connection, but. .nothing. It seems when he had Valhalla's computer banks wiped, it also wiped all data of the connection.

Still directly connected to the uplink, you close your eyes again. . It's time to mine for info. You can't sit around forever like this.

>Roll 1d100 for INFO MINING
>Taking first roll
>>
>>19188259
>>19188267

Hah.
Lets not waste time and effort on that then. Just sit and search for info passively.

>>
rolled 80 = 80

>>19188276
Mine info with an e-pickax.
>>
You scan, and don't find anything that jumps out at you. But then again, there's so much information to sift through, most of it computerized garbage that you can't make sense of. . . How does abel do this?

But then you notice something jump out at you. Project Atlantis; Nothing connected directly to Resurgence, but. .

You summarize what you've found- Project Atlantis is, essentially, an independent center for deep oceanic research, located far underwater. If anyone would notice Twelve's gunship, it would probably be them.
>>
rolled 84 = 84

>>19188338
More info on Atlantis!
>>
rolled 30 = 30

>>19188338
Try to hack into Atlantis' computers.
>>
>>19188367
ok, that's two bad rolls, time to go back to lurking.
>>
You try to seek more info on Project Atlantis, even hacking into their computers, but it's easier said than done- You can tell that there's data there, data you could use, but even with a futuresatellite uplink, there's simply too much water in the way to get to the data- At a guess, you'd need to be there personally in order to access it. That, or to get someone else down there to upload everything to a disk.
Inadvertently, you access a smartphone down there- the connection quality is just as bad as everything else, but.. You're sure you can call it.
>>
rolled 78 = 78

>>19188393
Don't think it is a good idea to call it, just get the data off it and try to use it as a relay for further probing.
>>
>>19188393
>>19188416
Oh yeah. And if we manage to get any kind of a connection to their systems immediately install backdoors and overriders.

A good way to boost the signal would be to develop a simple cloaked droid with a relay and signal booster on board and send it midway under the ocean wehre Atlantis is.
>>
You disregard the idea of calling it, and try using it as a relay for further probing. You can access a few other things, like a camera, and a submarine, and a bit of calibration equipment, but when you try to see through the camera's view, the connection is so bad that all you can see is static, and the calibration equipment, you know, would be completely useless if you couldn't get accurate readings. This satellite uplink is really something, though- it seems to amplify your range incredibly.
>>
rolled 89 = 89

>>19188445
Install backdoors and overrides!

Use the sum of all the equipment we managed to connect, to further infiltrate their base. Use them as relays or signal boosters.
>>
You get to their computer systems, but it isn't easy, and you start to try to weave your way into their computer. It's slow going, though, very slow.

Nearly a few hours later, your head aches, and you're just starting to get administrator control over the system. Once that's done, you create a new user for yourself, give it administrator control, and hide the access as deep into the system as you possibly can.
"You awake?" Amy asks, after you pull out of the system. You realize you're laying down, and she's wiping your brow with a damp cloth. "You were. . passed out. Are you okay?"
>>
>>19188521
"Oh, don't worry.
I was just hacking and infiltrating a research base deep on the ocean floor. It was as hard as you think it would be. But at least now I have control over it and can use it to scan for 12's massive gunship."

Install automated warning signal for us if Atlantis locates something similar to 12's ship. Also scan its logs on the day when 12 escaped for anything useful.
>>
>>19188583
After that lie down and rest for half an hour or something.
>>
"Oh, don't worry. I was just hacking and infiltrating a research base deep on the ocean floor. It was as hard as you think it would be." You say. "If I can get a better connection to it, I can take control of it and use it to scan for Twelve's massive gunship."
"That's good to hear." She said. "But. . try to warn me next time. I thought you were like. . in a coma or something. Anything else happen while I was out?"
>>
>>19188619
"I talked to Abel and asked him about our powercore and computer problems. He gave me a location of one of CD's bases and said we ought to find them there" give her the coordinates.
>>
>>19188619
"Ah sorry about that. I wasn't planning on doing that beforehand. I just got bored and decided to find something to occupy myself with.
The signal to the base is still lawful though. Think you could make a small cloaked drone which relays and boosts my signal?"
>>
>>19188619
"How are you feeling."

Also, I had an idea. Could we write an AI specifically for info-gathering and spying and put it into the satellite?
Lets ask Azure that.
>>
"Ah, sorry about that." You say. "I really wasn't planning on doing that, I just got bored and tried to occupy myself. We do need to get some kind of better connection, though, because I can't hack it directly. Any way you can build some kind of signal boosting drone?"
"I can try." She says. "You want it to be a flying relay, with a satellite uplink, essentially?"
You nod, and she puts on the goggles. "I'll try to figure out how to get that to work."
"Also, I talked with Abel a bit about our powercore and computer problems. He gave me a location of one of CD's bases and said we ought to find them there." You say, and send her the coordinates.
"Good to know." She says. "I'll get the drones to start working on the frame of the . . whatever it is we're making. Mobile fortress? Carrier? I don't even know what it is, it just has a lot of weapons and can fly. To tell you the truth, I was pretty tired when I designed it, and still probably on painkillers."
"How are you feeling, by the way?" You ask.
She frowns. "I had a few nightmares, and my arm aches, but I'll be fine. I'm still hella tired, but I can't sleep any more."
>>
>>19188735
"Maybe we should just go out and have some downtime? I don't want you to overwork yourself."

Also this >>19188717 ask Azure and/or Amy about that.
And
>Install automated warning signal for us if Atlantis locates something similar to 12's ship. Also scan its logs on the day when 12 escaped for anything useful.
>>
"Maybe we should just go out and have some downtime?" You ask. "I don't want you to overwork yourself."
"Well. . Let me finish designing this relay first." She says. "It'll be a lot larger than a normal drone- maybe the size of a raven, but it's pretty simple, for the most part."
A few minutes later, she took off the goggles. "Okay." She said, giving you a smile.
"One thing first." you say, and put your hand on the uplink computer again. You connect to Atlantis again, and you're about to set up an automated warning signal, but. .the connection is so bad, you would need to spend nearly an entire day installing it. You frown, and disconnect.
<Any chance of writing an AI to automate info-gathering and spying, and put it into the satellite?> You ask Azure.
<I'll get to work on it.> Azure says. <I'll be borrowing some of Talos' computer banks to do so.>
"Hey, Dave." Amy said, grabbing your shoulder. "You're kind of being a hypocrite, you know. You can't overwork yourself either."

"Thanks, Mom! You're awesome." Amy says, as you carry the piano out of the building. "I'll call you later!"

Five minutes later, the two ravens, the piano carried between them, land in Valhalla.
". . That was fun." Amy said, grinning.
>>

That it was, we should do this more often.

Ok lets set it up and we can make some sweet sweet music. Sit on my lap and I'll show you how your hands are supposed to move.

Laugh.
"Yeah, best mission in a while."

Then get comfortable and play her some great, mellow song. [anyone have ideas?]
>>
Mozart's Requiem has had more than one conversion to piano, hasn't it? We've killed people.

A lot of people.

A huge amount of people, most of whom were just goons, few of which were psychopathic nutters.

I think it's time we honored the fallen.
>>
"Yeah, best mission in a while." You say, chuckling.
"The theme music was the best part." Amy says. "Because even though you were cloaked, it wasn't hard to tell where you were because we could hear you creeping along. . It was hilarious."

You set down the piano, move it into one of the larger rooms in the facility, and then sit down. "Now, we can make some sweet, sweet music." You say.
"Maybe while you play, I can lounge on top of the piano in a black dress." She says, and sticks out her tongue. "Go on, I wanna hear. . "

You crack your knuckles, a tiny bit of lightning dancing between your fingers, and you get ready to play.

And play you do.

When you're finished, Amy's just . . kind of staring at you, silent.

As you eat, Epona pings the bunker's speakers loudly.
"Oh, the . . thing I designed." She said. "The frame is done, so now once we have a core and computer, we can start putting the rest of it together."
She shrugged. "Should I set the relay drone next?"

>>
"Sure." You say. "I need to infiltrate that ocean base much more thoroughly. How long should it take?"
"Not long." She said. "Just a few hours. Longer than it would be to make a normal drone, though." She said, getting up. "Be right back." She said, rolling off toward Hlidskjalf.
>>

After a grope, an 'eep', starting up the construction drones, a few more songs on the piano, and a sweaty, enjoyable time in bed, you think you've had enough of a break.

"I'm going to locate that base Abel recommended." You say to Amy, who's laying down.
"Okay." She said. "You should record everything you find, so that I can run a good overwatch when you get there. I'm not as good as Verne or Abel, so I need as much info as possible." She says.

"For a new AI that Azure made."

"Root access? Really?"
"From what I understand, if they try something harmful, my subconscious tells them to shut up and sit the fuck down." You say. "Plus, they're friendly."

Unless we used the secret exit and our Raven to get out in secret! But then we'd have to change our suit's appearance a bit, so it wasn't incredibly obvious. I mean, we DID add two more mechandrites. At least. Can we get Amy to do a more extreme appearance change? Maybe... An armet over our helm?

[X] CD Base infiltration

This is more time critical and will free up KI agents to deal with other problems.
>>
>>19190638
>I misread but still
It has been established from the beginning of the quest that normal people cannot use ONE mechadrite comfortably, let a lone 6. They will recognize us immediately.

If we don't lose the drites (which we will never do), anyone will recognize us.
>>
"Let's go steal some computers and power cores." You say, and follow Amy as the two of you get to the control room.

<Okay, Abel.> You message the dropbox. <You can call the agents out of the base, and we can go in.>

<Done.> Abel responded, a few minutes later. <Good luck, Dave.>

"Okay, so, how are you going to do this?" Amy asked. "You can strap the computer banks to one raven, and the power core to the other, so you can just ride one and make the other follow you."

<I have brought forth knowledge, and thus, power.> Daedalus says, bringing up a display of the base. <Behold.>

The entire thing is full of craters, obviously bombed. According to Daedalus' records, the remaining underground part of the base is only accessible by a single, long hallway, which the CD agents are staying at and using as a bottleneck. The KI have been holding them under siege for quite some time, but the defenders don't seem to be weakening anytime soon.

Everyone drops their weapons, and start to file out, one man cutting a long, nearly invisible string- probably made to detect cloaked people, as they come out. There are only a dozen or so power suited men, and three or four scientists in labcoats, as they come out, and remove their suits.

to the rest of the people on the ground "I can put in a good word with KI and get them to not kill you or I can let you guys get back in the hole and wait for them to pick you off; why don't you all discuss it while I'm buisy"
>>
>>19191178
"Yes."

Then address the others. "Listen guys, CD is pretty much dead at this point. All of other bases have been hit and destroyed by KI and the main base in Moscow is in ruins. I would suggest cutting your ties with them and going on your own way instead of trying to protect them."

"Heck, I'll let you keep your equipment too when I leave."
>>
"Don't worry." You say. "You help me get done what I want to get done, you guys get to leave here in one piece."
"I see." He responded. "You're not KI, are you?"
"I already said I wasn't. I suggest that you quit, find somewhere to hide, and forget that CD was ever a company. I'm not saying you have to, but it's the smart move."
". . You're part of Resurgence, aren't you." Douglass says, leading you through the tunnels some more.
>>
>>19191210
Not this. We can't even imply we are working with KI. Were supposed to be running solo right now, remember?
>>
>>19191222
nope, I just want a power core and a really big computer...
>>
>>19191222
"How do you figure?"
>>
>>19191226
you raise a valid point...
>>
>>19191211
We probably shouldn't leave them a dozen power suits. We can use them for raw materials for stuff.

>>19191222
Hahaha, NO. Not in the least, I just needed a new computer and something to power my Jacuzzi. Your company is pretty much dead, it's getting taken apart slowly and if Resurgence doesn't get you someone else will.
>>
"Nope, I just want a power core and really big computer. How do you figure?" You ask.
"You're not with KI, but you can hack a computer easily. And then you recommend we get out of the corporate business. Just like Three did." He said.
>>
>>19191222
I think we should deny this claim. Although classic misdirection would be nice, we don't want these CD guys to look at Resurgence to flock to.
>>
>>19191222
"Do I look like some teenage terrorist idiot with an irrational grudge against corporations? No, I'm not from those Resurgence assholes. I'm just trying to be humane. I'll be frank, Plan A was to flatten your bottleneck with light artillery fire and burn out whatever was left, routing you to some deeper part of this hole, but then I decided it was a far better idea to NOT kill even more poor goons. CD might be a giant pack of dicks, but the employees, I can't say... What was it like working under CD, anyways?"
>>
>>19191249
I'm just that good, and I didn't say corporate business, I said CD. CD from what I have seen is run by complete assholes and is about to fall apart, but I didn't think that needed to come down on your head. You want to hire onto another company be my guest.
>>
>>19191249
"oh you know that guy?

yeah, we got the call from him too but we got our severance packages first..."

fluctuate the cloaking so he gets a vague impression of the 8-armed death machine standing a few feet from him
>>
>>19191249
"Well, it's just less bothersome than killing you all. Besides, I didn't want to resort to violence when this could be resolved more peacefully."
>>
>>19191249
Oh, him.

Well, he has the right idea, at least for CD. If it isn't KI running them over resurgence seems hellbent of ruining everybody's day.
The way I see it, you're the easiest target for them. You've been more than helpful so far, so take my advice. Get into some private work, or small merc work. Anything but the corps.

(SUDDEN THOUGHT, IF THIS DOUGLASS GUY TURNS OUT TO BE REALLY HELPFUL, SHOULD WE OFFER HIM A JOB/REFUGE IN OUR BASE? WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE ANOTHER PERSON ON BOARD THE RESURGENCE RAPE TRAIN.
>>

>(SUDDEN THOUGHT, IF THIS DOUGLASS GUY TURNS OUT TO BE REALLY HELPFUL, SHOULD WE OFFER HIM A JOB/REFUGE IN OUR BASE? WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE ANOTHER PERSON ON BOARD THE RESURGENCE RAPE TRAIN.

eeeh,
lets not

"Do I look like some teenage, terrotist idiot with an irrational grudge against corporations? No, I'm not from those Resurgence assholes." You say. "I didn't say corporate business, I said CD. CD is about to fall apart, so if you want to hire onto another company, be my guest."
"Well, with these disks, I could probably buy my way anywhere else. . " He said, thinking.
"You've been more than helpful so far, so take my advice. Get into private work, or small merc work. Anything but a corp." You say.
"I'll. . think about it." He said. "Here's the core."

Oh my, you think, looking at the looming, glowing sphere.
This is quite a bit larger than a standard building-sized power core.

"The ravens are on their way back." Amy said. "We got the computer unloaded."
>>
>>19191320
Turn off the core first. Then haul it back up to the surface.

>>19191262
those guys aren't teenagers though
>>
>>19191288
Hell, these are some of CD's last agents, and probably their last few good ones to be guarding... Whatever this thing is. I say we offer all of them a job as freelancers with us. Though they'll probably not care for the idea, since we just kinda... Slashed up their buddy and all. Unless he was That Guy, which would probably explain why he endeavored to get everyone killed by resisting the offer to just surrender peacefully when there's a murdermachine in the room.

>>19191320
"... Mr. Douglass, just what am I looking at, here? Did you build this thing? God damn, this is some Singularity esque shit right here. Do you have a time-controlling glove stashed away somewhere, too?"
>>
rolled 37 = 37

>>19191320
>>19191336

after we do that I still say we should go back up and do our big and scary act cloak down, drite-walking along and singing a soft little song.

just to terrify the poor sods.
>>
You touch the core, and spoof an overload, forcing the core to deactivate, and the whole thing goes dark.
". . You're Bullfrog." He said, as if suddenly realizing. "That's why you can hack things so easily, and deactivate a core just by touching it."

You pick up the core, emulating a powersuited, mechandrited version of Atlas, and you carry the core on out of there, just as the ravens descended. You strap the spherical object to them, and they start to lift off. .

Just as a bunch of KI agents return, wielding sniper rifles. "Everyone, stand down!" Someone calls. One of the agents start firing at the Ravens, but Amy triggers their max speed, not having to worry about G-forces.
>>
>>19191377
Did we leave with Amy or what?
>>
>>19191389
Amy is controlling the Ravens from Alaska.
>>
rolled 19 = 19

>>19191377
are we still on the ground?

if yes then "hey dickheads watch the paint on those things" plus hack their guns into safety mode

if no then the same plus flipping the bird behind us with both hands
>>
>>19191377
"Sssshhhhh. Keep that little secret between us."

"Lay down your weapons, and no one gets hurt. You've already lost and you have worse shit to worry about than HQ breathing down your neck."
>>
>>19191377
Oh no, KI agents. They have sniper rifles. Everyone stand down, we don't want a fight.

Give the KI guys an intimidating look.

Now why don't we all be peaceful like, no reason for anyone to get hurt, they've surrendered and you don't have a chance of taking me down. Once we're pretty sure they aren't going to just shoot Douglass in the face walk off with our mechadendrites flipping them the bird.
>>
>>19191415
>>19191407
>>19191402

Lets just leave in cloaked mode. We got what we came for, while linger any longer?
>>
rolled 49 = 49

>>19191377
Give the KI agents the data they want and get out of there
>>
>>19191425
They already saw us loading the sphere and I would rather not have Douglass died, he cooperated and didn't try to screw us over.
>>
>>19191441
They can't see us when we are cloaked so that doesn't matter.
I don't care about Douglas. Especially not enough to let him into our bunker.

we can contact Abel and theough him make sure he's safe or whatever but that's it
>>
You shrug. You got what you came for, and the CD forces have already surrendered... You activate your boosters, and follow the Ravens; you can't travel as fast as they can, not by a long shot, but you don't need to hang around here anymore.

An hour later, the power core had been acquired, and the computer banks wiped and installed into the frame of what Amy is calling 'whatever it was I made'.
The Ravens come by, and you climb in, riding it back to Valhalla.

"Daaave." Amy said, hugging you. "It's so. . so boring waiting here alone." She says. "All I had to talk to were the AIs and the AI cluster."
>>
rolled 89 = 89

>>19191377
wait, how many agents?

walk up and with both hands and 6 drites just yank away their guns.

that could work
>>
>>19191463
Hmm, maybe I'll try making a fork of my consciousness and sticking it in the computer, what could possibly go wrong? This is a joke.

Well, Azure makes pretty good conversation but most of the others are really focused. Maybe you could create a conversation and social interaction AI some time, we'll need a butler some time, no reason for it not to be an AI.
>>
>>19191463
Aw. I was hoping we'd get KI to lay down arms too and then everyone'd sit down and sing Kumbaya together. Ah well, silly notion anyways.

"Amy, I think I just stole the key to the singularity from CD. We hold, in our hands, the key to THE FUTURE with that power core."
>>
>>19191463
"Kiss Amy."
"Well, this what you chose"

"Also, I got some data from them. Take a look"
>>
rolled 36 = 36

>>19191463
"well you could have called your mother..."
after disapproval
"so how goes the death-machine build"
pause...

we could call it Amy's technicolor death machine...
>>
rolled 24 = 24

>>19191492
yes!
>>
"Well, you could have called your mother." You say.
"I probably could have. . but then she'd just ask for her piano back." She said.
"So, how goes the death machine build?"
"Well, we still need to figure out the weapons to put on it. I'm rethinking making it into a carrier; instead we can just make it into a hilariously large, single drone with way too many weapons."
>>
>>19191537
"Well, your the genius so you would know better."

Talos speaks up. "We've recieved a new dropbox message."

Those bolos weren't as hardcore as ours. This thing will be amphibious and capable of some degree of flight. We're going to make a better airship than those Resurgence faggots and a better Bolo than Laumer ever did! With blackjack! And hookers!

Actually, I think it was Old Soldiers, but in one of the books, a human colony is founded to prevent mankind from total extinction. The epilogue has Bolos which can fly and even make orbit under their own power.

Her brother was just barely stable when we last left him.

He's probably dead. And I'm fairly certain it's Resurgence's fault.

Remember the unauthorized broadcast in our systems? The "either you fail the mission or lose one of your own, take a third option" one? That was almost undoubtedly from that faggot Twelve. But when all seemed lost, when it seemed we'd be stuck with option two, Lucas and Amy pulled through, if wounded. But then it seemed we wouldn't be able to take Epona. Fuckadoodle, still stuck with option 2.

So we took a third (or fourth as the case may be with whatever option 3 was) option in the end and saved everyone without bowing to that faggot's will for us, whatever it was. He took his revenge for us pulling through, despite all odds, by enforcing the second option and assassinating Lucas post-mission. Killing a man nearly on the brink of death, with hope in his heart, the bastard. He was probably unconscious, getting rest. He never knew he had died.

And Lucca, for some reason, thinks that's our fault. Possibly because 12 TOLD HER IT WAS SO; the faggot's been siring division and terror in all the corps, making his 30-man bunch of terrorists and sheeple agents seem like more than it is. She doesn't give a shit about the mission being a semi-failure because we pulled a Galactic Partridges on her. She's out for our blood because she thinks we've gone rogue and killer her twin brother, who has guided her through her agent-ing from the very beginning, after he saved our girlfriend's life. And is probably doing it for Resurgence.
