TG QUEST....

....will be delayed until 9. Sorry, gentlemen.

Last Thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/19447851/

Day: 2
Current Objectives: Restore Ah My Goddess world to natural state, remove SUE infestation, repair damage to space-time. 4/6 SUEs neutralized?

Fleet Location: Main force hiding behind the moon. Indefatigable wreckage in low orbit. Al'Keshes running operations planetside. Oncoming Storm a light hour out attempting to look into the past.

Inventory: http://pastebin.com/HGsJUZZb
Descriptions: http://pastebin.com/UpKiRZnh
>>
Ok, but when you get back, I want a blurry picture of those people in colored clothing.
>>
>>19460659
You already got one.

When we last left our band of heroes, they had managed to subdue and capture the SUEs TC and Brett, leaving behind a catatonic Rei, and Ahriman. The goddess Lind is not allowing you to release Ahriman back to his home, as she wishes to interrogate him as to what is going on.

You also deployed the VPs, Tosh, Ryu, and Finalon to search for mysterious interlopers spying on your activities.
>>
>>19460617
I'd like a status update on:
1. The damaged Al'Kesh. Has it been repaired yet.

2. Cellular processes in Brett: have Doc Lazarus check on the stasis pod and make sure that there's no cellular activity.

3. Have another stasis pod prepped and beamed down. Have the Avatar check Rei for any responses, and if nothing, have him put into a stasis pod. Without TC, Rei should be incapable of independent action.

4. The Zombie Hunter Squad and Dystopia Squad are to continue their search of the Nekomi Tech campus. Listen in on communications of the locals, and keep up our charade of being Tokyo MPD SWAT and JSDF 10th Mountain Division, and that the we are still working to secure the area. Have the drone squad on-site assist in the search.

5. The droid squad deployed at the Nekomi City wilderness is to re-deploy to the Nekomi Tech campus to assist in the search for the transpace transmitter, except for the Observers. They are to go with Ryu, Finalon & Tosh, and the VP brothers (one to each pair) to assist in their search.
>>
>>19461184
Could you repost it? I don't remember it.
>>
>>19461189
Your Al'Kesh will be repaired in a few hours.

Brett is showing no signs of cellular activity within the pod.

With some difficulty, your salvagers manage to get another pod from the ruined Indefatigable. They begin preparing it for Rei.
>>
Have the All Under Heaven use its tractor beam to pick up what's left of the Indefatiguable for now.
Also scan Nekomi for any more big reality distortions.
>>
>>19461235
>>19461219

The picture just showed three human-sized humanoids, one in red, one in purple, and one in black clothing. They left the portals towards the Nekomi area.

The AUH begins to tractor in the Indefatigable's shell.
>>
One of the suggestions from last thread was to see if Lind would accept information about Urd's whereabouts in exchange for Ahriman's freedom. Since everything is going bugshit insane with Yggdrasil and the doublet system and Urd is a powerful goddess/sysadmin, this could be a good bargaining chip.

Also, have the Avatar see if Skuld is free of Rei's influence. I don't like those puppy eyes she was giving his comatose form in the last thread.
>>
>>19461269
That could just mean she has empathy.
>>
>>19461267
Once the Indefatigable is in the All Under Heaven's main hangar bay, have the repair Scarabs continue using their repair nanites to fix the hull.
Also have Data and 6 of the Mobile Emitters set to Emergency Engineering Holograms see if they can get the replicator working to help with repairs.

>>19461269
I do not believe that we can trade information regarding Urd's location for Ahriman's release; we've already shown that we are here to fix the problems with the Yggdrasil and Nidhoggr systems and that keeping the primary system administrator in stasis is not in our interests.
Lind will more likely than not be able to work out that we would be freeing Urd eventually anyway, and so would not really need Urd's location.
>>
>>19461267
Assuming these are WH40k individuals... the Purple person might be some devotee of Slaanesh, red for Khorne, black for Malal?

Although, our Farseers did not detect any out-of-place entities while they were scrying for anomalies. We should ask the Farseers if they can direct their scrying to find/discern the identity of the three blurry figures on the picture we captured.
>>
>>19461267
Oh, I was hoping for an actual picture to look at. I figured even if it's distorted and blurry, someone might recognize them.

Do a search for new reality distortions. Also, I want to know if Tom is still at "home"
>>
>>19461323
>Malal
>Working with anyone
...Probably not.
>>
>>19461321

So do we just say that we'll answer her questions as best as we can if she releases Ahriman? And point out that this saves heaven the trouble of containing a Chaos Sorceror who has seen constant intrigue and conflict for over 10,000 years?
>>
On the convincing Lind to let him go, I'd suggest mentioning that his continued presence on this plane of existence will likely cause more problems with Yggdrasil. They already know about multiple planes, hell and heaven are on a couple of them, so this should be no surprise.
>>
>>19461269
"She is free of influence," the Avatar states. "She's just confused and sad."

>>19461321
You set your team to working on salvaging the replicators.
>>
>>19461373
Yes. As Codeki said, we can say that Ahriman's very continued presence on this plane will cause problems with the balance and that he should be returned from whence he came as quickly as possible.
>>
>>19461436
Alright then.. Bundle Rei up as soon as the pod's ready.. If we can't get another form of containment ready to go before it. Whatever works.

I agree with trying to convinve Lind to release Ahriman and let him leave in exchange for us answering questions.. Ahriman is likely to trollface us if we let them do it. Also the fact he'd be at full power once he leaves the emitter fields.
>>
>>19461474
Even if he is at full power, so are Belldandy, Skuld, and Lind.
He seems to be more or less done here in any case.
Should we bother asking him if he knows who the three intruders are?
>>
>>19461498
It don't see the harm in asking that specific question.

Also, MetaOP, has Mouse had any luck with decrypting that last transpace message we intercepted?
>>
Just a shot in the dark, but do we have a Police box on any of our ships we don't remember looting?
>>
>>19461587
Or, say, just sitting on the outside of the hull someplace?
>>
>>19461522
Nope.

"What would you give me for that information?" Ahriman asks. "If I knew, that is..."

>>19461474
"Wait!" Skuld says. "What are... What are you going to do with them?"
>>
>>19461611
We'll do our best to make sure Ms. Lind doesn't keep you in a headlock for the next eternity. I know how you hate being controlled, after all.

Also, MetaOp, these: >>19461587
>>19461596
>>
>>19461611
We're going to try to cure them. Then, if possible, bring them home.

To Ahriman. Depends on how useful the information. Although, finding out of a Chaos Marine can be reconstructed while away from his home plane would be interesting too.
>>
>>19461611

>Skuld

We're going to see what we can do to help them.
>>
>>19461611
Right now, we're going to move them somewhere where their presence will no longer have a negative effect on Yggdrasil.
After that, we will do some harmless tests and with any luck devise a cure for their... condition.
>>
>>19461611
>Ahriman
"We'll do what we can to have you returned to your home intact. We only need you returned there, not necessarily in one piece, after all."

>Skuld
"We're going to try to cure them of their condition. We have made unprecedented strides in that regard, and hope that our research proves to be successful."
>>

>>19461641

No Police boxes.

"Pity, then. Because I don't know," Ahriman states.

"I... I see..." Skuld says, frowning. Suddenly she lets out a gasp, her eyes widening. "I need to go find Sentaro! It's been so long since I talked with him!!!"

"Valkyrie Lind... Our job requires we take custody of that man, but if you allow us to speak, I'm sure we can answer what questions you might have..." Virtun begins to say.
>>
>>19461611
"If possible; and we believe it is; cure them of this sickness they currently possess. Think of what they have as... Well, you know those bugs that pop up because of faults in Yggdrasil? They have an affliction that gives off that same kind of not-goodness. It has a different source, but we hope to cure it one day. Until then we intend to keep them in stasis so they don't cause any more grief."

"Ahriman... What would be your price for that information? Keeping in mind we *do* trade fairly for solid intel."
>>
>>19461184
Can we ask Skuld/Lind if it's alright for us to take Rei to our doctor and place him in a Healing tank if need be?
>>
>>19461693

Would this situation require a double-roll, or are we going to see where this goes?
>>
>>19461693
>17
D'OH!
We forgot to specify using the Double Roll!

Well, use the Double Roll for our next action.
>>
>>19461714
Double Rolls can't be used after the fact. They need to be declared before the dice are rolled.
>>
>>19461693
That's Vitun Talking. I want to use the Vitun only "Oh Crap" roll.
>>
>>19461730
Bit of Luck (Sp): For the next round, any time the target rolls a d20, he may roll twice and take the more favorable result. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

Good Fortune (Ex): At 6th level, as an immediate action, you can reroll any one d20 roll you have just made before the results of the roll are revealed. You must take the result of the reroll, even if it's worse than the original roll. You can use this ability once per day at 6th level, and one additional time per day for every six cleric levels beyond 6th.

It's the second one I wish to use. 17 is bad, but hopefully, we don't roll worse.
>>
>>19461730
Second this.

Right. Here's the plan.

We point out that Ahriman has Lods of ePower and he might trick, deceive, or lie to Heaven.
His presence is causing bugs.
We want to answer questions in his place.

If we CAN'T answer questions in his place, then at the very least we want to be present for the questioning, so we can:
A. Provide gellar fields from our ships, and
B. Counteract his lies and BS.

This sound reasonable?
>>
>>19461730
Oh right, Clerics of Desna have an ability to reroll their own dice after the fact, don't they.
Seconding this.
>>
>>19461760
Induringa1
>>
>>19461760
Double roll the Emergency reroll, imo.
That way we can't possibly get two 1s!
>>

>>
>>19461767

We could also say that we may have answers that would be more relevant and/or useful than the answers that Ahriman may give; while he's no doubt wiser and smarter than all of us put together and is undoubtedly THE chaos sorceror/warp magic user, we probably know a bit more about the meta than he does.

Also, our actions have shown that we have Yggdrasil's and this universe's best interests in mind. Ahriman, on the other hand, will answer in whichever ways benefits him the most regardless of who it screws over.

lar-cleric

Flash of Insight (Su)

At 10th level, once per day, a scroll scholar can gain a +5 bonus on a single attack roll, caster level check, or saving throw as an immediate action. This decision must be made before the results of the roll are known, but can be made after the die is rolled. This ability can be used twice per day at 15th level, and 3 times per day at 20th level.

This ability replaces the normal addition of a new 4th-level spell slot to the character’s spells per day— from this point on, the cleric has one fewer 4th level spell slot than other clerics.

VITUN, USE YOUR MIND!

GOD WILLS IT!

"You see, miss Lind, we have access to knowledge far beyond his resources, and we are sure we can explain everything in a satisfactory manner," Virtun nods. Lind pauses for a moment, the symbols on her face flash for a moment and then her eyes narrow.

"Knowledge beyond him. Who are you? I just checked. You're not connected to Yggdrasil, and I do not think you are connected to Nidhogg. That means you're outside the system. And that worries me," Lind levels her halberd at you with one hand, before murmuring something under her breath and keeping one hand on Ahriman. "Start at the beginning. I'll tell you when to stop."
>>
>>19461987
Miss Lind. We are members of an organization, like your own, sent to deal with reality distortions, which you commonly refer to as bugs. We are from a plane of existence, like Heaven, but separate. Ahriman is from another, but his is closer to Hell. Unfortunately, this man is bound to the fabric of his plane in a manner that it would cause severe damage to this one should he be killed.

Anything else you wish to know?
>>
>>19461987
>>19462030
We came here because the system was getting super duper out of whack.

What we're going to do is:
A. Fix it, then
B. Go away.

One step to fixing it is to not allow Ahriman here to lie to you, or bullshit you, or otherwise trick you.

[Lind has successfully noted that the Players generate distortions, as the players are not canon-native. Thus, the players are reducing system stability. How 'bout that?]
>>
>>19461987
"As we told Miss Skuld before, we are members of an Agency with certain unique skills. Our superiors ordered us to come here when we detected the failures in the Yggdrasil and Nidhoggr systems.
"Our task was to identify the problems which caused this situation, and to rectify them using whatever means we have available, while minimizing our direct interaction to the minimum necessary.
"Our Agency's mission statement is to put right what has gone wrong.
"Ahriman is from another plane of existence, and usually is not supposed to interact with this one, or with Heaven or Hel. He must be returned, alive, in order to maintain the balance that our Agency is supposed to uphold."

And use a Double Roll.
>>
>>19462030
Brett and TC are living Reality Disruptions. They create bugs and cause damage to computer systems like Niddhog and Yggdrasil. They cause this damage by using mind-control to alter people's thoughts, like how Bell forgot about Keiichi. Sometimes they are even worse.
>>
>>19462055
>Lind has successfully noted that the Players generate distortions
What? No, that's wrong. She ran a database index search against us and found that we weren't in Yggdrasil's database, and she then stated that she doubts that we're in Nidhoggr's either.
Nothing she said implies that we're causing reality distortions.
>>
>>19462030
"Are you the cause of the system malfunctions? Who are these people that were managing to interfere with even First-Class Goddesses? Who is-"

Distracted by her questioning, Ahriman suddenly breaks free from her grasp, a pauldron of his armor coming lose and crumpling under the goddess' supernaturally strong grip. The sorcerer bolts for one of the portals as Lind reflexively takes a swing at him. Immediately a cascade of divine lightning strikes her, causing her to cry out and be temporarily dazed. Incited by the violence, several of the Chaos forces attack, heedless of the consequences. They are struck down in short order by the spell still hanging heavy in the air. Keiichi winces at the violence and Belldandy interposes herself between him and the fighting.
>>
>>19462125
Did the Abjurers erect those Walls of Force over the portals like we had asked?
If so, Ahriman isn't going to get very far.
>>
Heal Lind.
Explain how the SUEs are basically just living Bugs.
Unfortunately, these are very powerful Bugs.
We came to fix them, then leave.

>>19462169
Like that will stop him.
>>
>>19462169
Indeed, Ahriman attempts to rush through one of the portals one to slam face first into an invisible wall. He curses a blue streak as he pulls himself up and begins chanting. It looks like he is attempting to dispel the wall.
>>
>>19462125
Oh don't mind him.
But to answer your question, we're not the cause, but the cure.
To use a software/biological analogy, we're essentially a specialized vaccine for the viruses that are people like TC and Brett. As well as interlopers like Ahriman over there.
Although to be more accurate, I wouldn't say it's mind-control, it's both more and less potent to that.
Like I would say that people like them have their start with something that should be very familiar to the goddesses: a wish.
While we don't yet know who, if anyone, is granting these wishes, we do know that their power is to warp reality itself to make it come true.
For example, remember Brett's crazy story? Whatever makes him distort reality also makes that story "true", at the cost of doing egregious damage to the universal tapestry.
Namely, the rifts to where Ahriman comes from, which is... -like- hell, but much worse.
>>
>>19462182
Dispell his dispell!
>>
>>19462182
That's going on the Christmas Card.
>>
>>19462182
"Ahriman, we could have ended this peacefully, but you just HAD to try to run on your own, didn't you?
"Abjurers, try to counterspell Ahriman. All Al'Kesh, full power to the reality fields.
"We wanted you gone, Ahriman, but Lind won't listen if you just run right now."
>>
>>19462190
As for TC, his wish is much more simple. He essentially wanted to be Keiichi, but "better" in his eyes. As you can see from what he considered to be improvements, the process also results in mental instability.
>>
Can't we just ask Ahriman to lower his guard and cast Banishment on him?
>>
>>19462125
>Who are these people that were managing to interfere with even First-Class Goddesses?
We don't know how they exist, but they are people who can warp, bend, and break reality with their presence.
These people are the cause of the System instability, Lind.
Heck, you could even call them "System Unstable Enemies", or SUEs, if you want.

We're here to deal with them, and stop them from interfering with the system.
>>
>>19462240
He's already trying to leave. Let's just shut the portal after him.
>>
>>19462246
I mean, yeah, we could simply have the Abjurers dispell the Walls of Force for Ahriman, but is that the right thing to do?
On the one hand, we want him gone. But on the other, letting him escape could keep Lind from listening further to our explanation.
>>
Anyways, is this where I point out Walls of force can't be dispelled?
>>
>>19462219
Hell, Ahriman slamming facefirst into the wall is going on the office blooper reel for the Christmas party.
>>
>>19462279
And you can't grab a Banishment spell and throw it at someone else.
Ahriman doesn't play by your rules.
...But maybe we could time it so the Abjurer dismisses the walls right after Ahriman casts his spell?
Like do some slight of hand?
>>
>>19462182
Do we still have Lind Superaggro?
>>
So, uh, are we interfering, or letting Ahriman get away (and maybe pointing and laughing if he fails)?
>>
>>19462522
Interfere sneakily?
>>
>>19462565
Gotta be more specific.
We can't just dispel the Wall of Force. A Disintegrate spell is too obvious.
We could just wait for the spell duration to end.
>>
Miss Lind. Do you really need him detained, or can we let him leave? We'll continue to talk until you are satisfied.

After >>19462180
>>
>>19462577

>>

>>
>>19462710

Just have Virtun cast some healing spells on Lind while they watch Ahriman crash into the Wall of Force again.
>>
rolled 24 = 24

"If you can explain his role in all of this to my satisfaction, he can leave," Lind states, recovering swiftly.
>>
>>19462745
He came to kill Brett because Brett was mind-controlling his troops.
>>
>>19462745
"He...actually has very little to do with this at all.
"From our readings and investigation, Brett was creating portals to Ahriman's home plane, and in order to satisfy his own ego, was mind controlling the demons there and forcing them here so that he could 'defeat' them.
"Ahriman has a very large complex about people controlling him, so he came here in order to kill Brett and end the threat that he represented to Ahriman and his home.
"As much of a conniving, manipulative, Just As Planned bastard that Ahriman can be, he's actually something of a victim in this whole affair."
>>
>>19462753
Simple, sweet, and straight to the point. love it
>>
>>19462745
...Alright. As I mentioned before, Brett had subconscious ability to force his twisted ideas into reality, which resulted in tearing a hole between this world and where Ahriman comes from.
His power also charmed many of the beings that come from that dark place, the same way TC charmed Belldandy.
However, Ahriman was able to resist the charm and took personal affront to what he deemed an attempt to control his mind/soul.
So he found the portal that Brett had torn open and planned to capture everyone currently distorting reality.
And then probably do unethical experiments to them?
>>

If you are who you say you are, I must ask why you are meddling in this world's affairs? What drives you to 'make wrongs, right?' It is an unusual motive for those not clearly blessed of the heavens. And how do you propose to fix all of this?"
>>
>>19463028
Avatar.
Go make discussion with Lind.

What drives us to make wrongs, right?
Well, you know how stuff could sort of ... get wrecked ... if Yggdrasil crashes?
Bugs flow over from one system to another. If we don't stop the bugs, then all the systems could crash.
That would be bad, by the way, because we have a lot of friends in those other systems.

We plan to fix all of this by squishing bugs, or capturing bugs and making them "Less buggy".

Of course we're motivated by self-interest. System stability is in everyone's interests.
>>
>>19463028
My calling in life is to provide help to anyone I can.
This world needed help, so I'm here to provide it.
To fix it, we simply need to remove the "bug" from those children and send them home.
>>
>>19463028
Well at its simplest level, we're doing this because it's our job, but more importantly we're doing this because we want to. Because it's something no one else is qualified to do and it's something that needs doing. That's the best I can put it.
As for fixing this, fortunately the world is resilient in areas like this. Removing the sources of corruption should be sufficient to trigger the recovery process.
>>
>>19463028

"We are here because we are what we are. It is our purpose. And you know as well as we do, that without purpose, we would not exist. It is purpose that created us, purpose that connects us. Purpose that pulls us, that guides us and drives us. It is purpose that defines and binds us.
"We are here because repairing the problems between planes is our purpose.
"As for fixing all of this, the wheels have been set in motion. Once we remove the causes of the problems, then your system administrators will be able to repair the damage to the celestial and infernal databases."

Use a Double Roll.

Lind listens to the arguments made attentively.

"And beyond all that..." the Avatar adds. "Even if you stood to gain nothing, could YOU avert your gaze from a world you could help? That needed helping?"

Lind frowns, then looks down. "No... I could not."

Ahriman unleashes a burst of warp energy from his hands that finally manages to overcome the wall of force and he vanishes through the portal, which closes behind him. The remnants of the Chaos force howl at this betrayal.

"What do we do with the rest of this rabble, then?" Lind asks, gesturing at the remaining chaos marines.

"They should be destroyed, if possible. I cannot imagine them doing any sort of good wherever they go," Lind states.

This spell functions like raise dead, except that you can resurrect a creature that has been dead for as long as 10 years per caster level. This spell can even bring back creatures whose bodies have been destroyed, provided that you unambiguously identify the deceased in some fashion (reciting the deceased's time and place of birth or death is the most common method).

Good thing we don't need any.

Perhaps now would be a good time to find out, before we have to try doing it on our own troops when we have to fight Chaos battlefleets in the Meta.
>>
>>19463385
Good point.

Anyway, any objections to:
A. Getting the SUEs we already have captured out-of-system so their reality distortions don't affect the place,
B. Scanning for reality distortions,
C. Getting a Drooooooooone to rescue Urd, and
D. Letting Hild know her daughter is safe?

That seems to be our obvious next step in stabilising reality, since we already have dudes looking for the Nekomi transmissions, we have trackers working on finding their targets, and we've got 5/6 SUEs in storage.
>>
>>19463385
while we're at it, maybe a new recruit, I know of a sorceress who incapacitated an entire race of demigods, is a cunning strategist and is currently indisposed, Her name is Xandra. the only problem is she's kind of a megalomaniac.

>>19463436
> I know of a sorceress who incapacitated an entire race of demigods
Just go hit up some DotA canons.
Suddenly ALL THE DEMIGODS.
Just say the game was closed due to lag or someshit.
>>
>>19463421
D is very ill-advised, as well as kind of difficult to do.
First, if we rescue Urd, Hild will know anyway.
Second, we have no way to contact Hild.
Third, that's involving ANOTHER vastly more powerful entity in our affairs, when it doesn't need to happen.
>>
>>19463491
Good point.

A, B, C then?
>>
>>19463512
A. Moving the SUE's in containment to the All Under Heaven is going to require some modifications, since the AUH doesn't have a Containment Bay. TC, Rei, and Brett are in stasis pods, and Trevor is weak enough to be in a regular brig covered by reality emitters, but Koh is in a tightly controlled subspace inversion field with an chroniton generator creating an interference chronometric wave. That's dangerous to send through a Meta Transit without precautions in place.

C. This will require scanning of Urd to make sure that she is clear of any enthrallment before we take her out of the time distortion.
>>
>>19463578
Good points.

Might as well scan for reality distortions regardless.
How do we check if Enthrallment is still affecting someone?
>>
>>19463617
We can have the Avatar look at their mana flow, have Cheryl or Tosh check their minds, or have ANON scan them for the tell-tale reality distortion signature of a SUE's enthrallment.

"I know there's a fine line between compassion and foolhardiness, but the others do bring up a good point. If we can figure out how to break Chaos' hold on those so firmly entrenched with it, then we can use that knowledge to help better ward our troops for the coming battles. Who knows? Maybe we'll even find a few useful ones once they're free... IF they can be freed."

"If they can't... Then we've learned something valuable in that direction as well. Knowledge has served us very well so far, and the lack of it will cost us people we can't afford to lose. Though I think it'd be a very good idea to be ready to execute them if any of them show resistance. This place has given us enough surprises for one lifetime."

>>19463421
I give support to A, B, and C. I'll have to agree with the belaying of D, though.

>>19463578
We could transfer over to the All Under Heaven, and have the Storm transit out. The setup is already in place on board, so it should be fine, right? I mean, we could wait and pull her out as like, the last thing before we leave... Or get some help from Heaven and lock her in a binding circle/array until we can clear her of Influence. Hild's gonna get pissy, but she can just deal with the fact we had her daughter's best interests at heart.

But the problem with having the Storm transit out is that it has the most sensitive and sophisticated sensors in the Task Force, and the ONLY sensor package capable of detecting reality distortions.
Sure, the psychics and such can also detect reality distortions to a degree, but the Storm's sensors are still the best at it.
>>
I'm still a bit worried about those three figures that emerged from the portals in the forest. The Farseers didn't seem to pick them up as Chaos-tainted individuals. But since the portals that were caused Brett's presence link only to the 40k-verse, it may be safe to assume that these are WH40k inhabitants that we're dealing with.

Who could fit the description of wearing purple or red or black in the WH40k universe, yet pass as non-Chaos entities to a Farseer's sensibilities?
>>
>>19464612

I'm worried about them too. However we just have to keep the search on for them. Well since the other goddesses are here, unless I missed a post of them leaving, we could recruit their help in retrieving Urd. Seeing familiar faces would work better in breaking Urd enthralment.

Another thing is that we should try to get the doublet system back up as soon as possible. Since we haven't actually killed the S.U.E's they are still influencing the world. Which means that Hild is still following the events that the knights have been setting up.
>>
I'm concerned. The Mk II Reality Emitter was supposed to be our definitive answer to the Chaos Question. But Ahriman has shown that he still has a lot of power even when hit by the power of 5 Capital Ship-class Reality Emitters. We need to work further on our defense technologies.
>>
>>19464968

When OP gets back, we should see if the light-image we have of those three figures can show us how the wilderness portals looked like.

Three human-sized figures; one wears purple, another red, and another black. If these aren't WH40k people, then this could mean another crossover has occurred... Perhaps with another canon that is very familiar with solving "incidents". With copious amounts of bullets. And grazing.
>>
>>19466586
That could just be by virtue of him being Ahzek Ahriman.
I mean he's much more than your average chaos sorcerer.
>>
Other theories on the three figures:

Red-clothed figure is a Techpriest of some sort. Black-clothed figure is an actual genuine Vindicare assassin. Not sure who the purple person would be; could be a space marine. Together, they may be a bunch of rogue traders.

If this isn't the case, then we may be dealing with a handful of meta-aware operatives. The transspace signals that were originating from the Nekomi Tech campus may be connected to the figures that left the wilderness portals.
>>
Even given the size of the Meta, true Meta-Aware Factions that have access to transpace communication technology number less than a dozen.
It could be a TSAB operative mage, since this is an anime Canon.
It could be a deep cover operative for the IDKPB.
Possibly Combine, but it doesn't feel right.
It could be a Time Scout of the ATN or a Slave Searcher for the Closers, but they're way out of their normal area of operations then.
>>
>>19468327
Yeah, Ahriman's more than your regular daemon.
But the point of the Mk. II's was to be able to stop powerful Chaos and Warp magics, the kind that are usually considered nearly unstoppable.
We need to continue working on the Reality Emitter project.

Also, now that we have some Chaos forces in custody, now would be a good time to test the effectiveness of Aglaophotis-A.
We'll need some alive to test the effects of Aglaophotis-B when we finish the research, as well.
>>

After some talk in the IRC, I.. I think I'm gonna have to retract my previous reasoning for sparing/attempting to deconvert here (>>19463663). It would be too much of a gamble for too little real gain. Especially since the dice don't really like us.

Instead, I'll +1 the "Test our anti-evil Aglaophotis-A" plan... But warn everyone the results might be ugly. Real ugly. Might wanna get K1 outta here so he doesn't have to get mind-wiped to stave off insanity kinda ugly.
>>
>>19472726
Why? We need to know if Esuna will have any effect, and if the Nano-Disassembler from the Scarabs can deconstruct Warp-affected materials.

As for getting Keiichi out of here, that's a given. It would actually be safer to keep him and Bell on an Al'Kesh unless we want them to go home and we keep them under surveillance.
>>
>>19472726

The Chaos-cannon fodder that Ahriman brought along are probably past redemption, as well as any Khorn/Slaaneshi/Nurgle marines and/or cultists that remain.

The remaining Rubric Marines might be slightly easier to work with, seeing as how they're probably still in possession of their full mental faculties; but they're still probably going to remain loyal to Ahriman. They're also probably very cynical/jaded even by WH40k standards seeing as how their entire life consisted of being shat on just because they had psyker powers. When this is combined with their mastery of warp-sorcery, the best we can hope for may be troublesome allies who may still act as informants for Ahriman even if we purge them of Chaos-taint.
>>
>>19472960
The point of the experiments is not to redeem the Chaos forces. It's to see how well we can remove Chaos taint without specialized Warhammer artifacts or specialists.
If they survive the process, we can put them to work. If they don't then we haven't lost anything.
>>
>>19472960
>>19473037
Honestly, let's just test our Algowhatever on them. The Avatar is all for disposing of them, and if the Algo works, we'll have a way to kill them easier so more of our forces will survive encounters, letting us get some Virtue Points.
>>
You guys still deciding whether to test Aglaophotis-A or try to redeem them?
>>
>>19473089
I'm for attempting to redeem them. Is testing our various anti-Chaos methods on them.

Try injections of Aglaophotis-A, Esuna cast by a White Mage, nanite treatments to reverse the physical warping while running them through a energy cleansing field.
>>
>>19473089
Go for the Aglaophotis-A.. But get K1 outta here first so his brain doesn't go all melty and shit from whatever may happen. Guy's been through enough.
>>
>>19473153
And you intend to just try convincing them to join you and allow this to happen?
>>
>>19473153
All while asking them if they have considered letting the Light into their lives in a parody of Mormon and Jehovah's Witnesses.
>>
>>19473177
I think we should go for the Aglaophotis-A. Let's have a weapon we know works VERY WELL before we try to redeem Chaos. (Also, totally not around Darius. He's already fussy enough about Ahriman.)

We can MAYBE try and convince the Thousand Suns to join us.
>>
>>19473089

I say we test and see where that goes. If they end up being purged of taint, then all the better. If not, well... at least we tried.

Alternatively, we may want to find a way to dispose/incapacitate them quickly; we still have one more SUE to deal with and Urd is still frozen in time. Though TC's downfall may have broken Koh's hold over Urd, we may still want her sisters and K-1 on-site to help us if Urd is still being influenced. Not to mention that there are those three from the wilderness portals, and the transspace signals from Nekomi Tech.
>>
>>19473177
Well, it's either agree to the test and let the Light into their lives (and maybe die in the process), or get cut down right now as we have the Prawns tear the power armor off of the Chaos Marines and expose them to Aglaophotis-A and then cut them down in a hail of bolted fire when Virtun's spell ends.
>>
>>19473199
We need to see if te reality disruptors will work against Chaos.
We know that Bolters and Meltas will always work, and we have two squads of KI down there already.
>>
>>19473199
Ehhh... Chaos IS potent. And even the Avatar's going "killmaimburn" towards them. I mean, the dude is basically a living force of Good. If he can't see any hope, then something's wrong.

Go for dosing them with Aglaophotis-A. It's a better use of our time, really. We do still have that SUE and the three figures to track down.

Hose them down with Aglaophotis-A and let's move on... Before the dice gods are more angered by our lack of hilarious offerings.
>>
Just kill the fucking things so we can get on with tracking our three mysterious friends. I've been waiting three fucking threads for that.
>>
>>19473230

We could also goad them into attacking us and get them fried by Virtun's spell. This will speed things up, and also act as a litmus test to see which of them is unreasonably bloodthirsty/stupid and which of them still maintain enough control over themselves to have some restraint.

Don't forget that we're still on a bit of a deadline. Requisitions may shut down in a day or so, and that Black-Ops fleet will meet head-on with the reality distortion in one or two days. If we want to get an extensive repair job on the Indef or want to request another ship, we'd best do so before Requisitions shuts down and we have to trade immense amounts of tech for anything substantial.
>>
>>19473263
That's what I was saying. Only reason I suggested we might try to convince the Thousand Suns is because they have full mental faculties, and it'd give us a link to Ahriman when we make Christmas Cards of him running into an invisible wall.

We should totally send one of those to Creed, he'd appreciate it.
>>
>>19473263

Seconded. If the Avatar of the Virtues says it's not a bad idea, then we do so.

First, though, we may want to collect K-1 and the goddesses in an Al'kesh and notify them about their sister. Preferably away from earshot of all of the testing.
>>
>>19473263

>>
rolled 94 = 94

A cursory attempt at converting the Chaos forces is made, but they openly laugh and mock both Virtun with his promises of redemption and a better life, and especially Darius with his promises of fiery retribution from the God Emperor. However, while the talking goes on, the two test Toxiguns with the prototype batch of Aglaophotis-A is transported planetside and quietly issued to Star-Lord, who takes one in either hand. He then nods to Virtun to dispel the spell.

"Well if cannot come to accord..." Virtun sighs, gesturing. "I suppose you'll have to go to hell."

Then Star Lord opens fire, spraying the crowd of Chaos with a hail of armor-piercing, toxin-carrying projectiles.

MetaQuest OP, did we manage to get a shot of the portal that the three mystery figures came from? If so, and if it's legible enough, how does the portal look like?
>>
>>19473447
The Aglaophotis rounds strike the Chaos Marines to varying degrees of effect. Some simply shrug off the effects of the toxin, some seem weakened and injured by it, and some scream in pain and collapse in a convulsing mass right away. The effect it has on demons is far more pronounced, a 100% casualty rate among the monsters, with an identical death rate among the Possessed. The only ones that seem immune are the Rubric Marines. As the Chaos forces begin to counterattack, Lind begins to lay into them once more, shredding marine after marine as Virtun calls down a holy Flamestrike to blast a squad to bits. One falls down with a hole in his head thanks to Sniper, and the KI bolter rounds tear apart nearly all the rest. A handful of Rubric Marines walk implacably towards the Knights, spraying HEAP bolts at them, but careful deployment ensures that Knights with intact armor are always there to shield those that find themselves injured.

"Corp Por," a calm voice intones. One of the Rubric Marines suddenly glows bright blue and falls to a pile of ash. "Vas In Flam Grav."

A roaring column of fire suddenly bursts from the ground to envelop the remaining marines. The supernaturally intense flame fails to instantly kill the Rubrics, but instead it forces them to scatter, making them easy prey for Lind and a charging Darius once they exit the inferno.
>>
>>19473653

Poor Rubric Marines. All they've had is about 10,000+ years of shit life just because of a policy change regarding psykers.

We should take great pains to ensure that the Nekomi Tech Campus is purified completely and wholly. We don't want any hapless students mutating a week later and splorching bystanders all over the pavement.
>>
>>19473653
It takes no effort at all for your scientists to figure out that the Aglaophotis-A is deadly against possessed and the lesser demons of chaos, and damages chaos marines based on how infused they are with warp energies. It does however, require some form of biological body, which is why the Rubric marines were immune. In addition, the projectiles had some difficulty piercing the power armor of the marines. Star-Lord is skilled enough to aim for damaged areas and weak spots, but armored foes might prove difficult for normal troops.

Have the Avatar take a look at the portals and see if he recognizes them.
Also have ANON run the portals through the database to see if there's a match with other known portal types.

Have the SCP Troopers and Knights Inductors on cleanup.

Ask Belldandy and Keiichi if they would accept a ride to their home in one of our Al'Kesh. Ask Lind if she would accompany them and help protect them until the problems have been dealt with.

+1 to database scans and seeing if the Avatar recognizes the portal type.

Do we want to deal with Urd right away? If so, Bell & Skuld (and maybe K-1) could prove very useful in helping her snap out of the SUE compulsion. That is, if she was under compulsion in the first place. It is rather odd that Urd & Koh were the only ones to go through the Judgment Gate; you'd think that all the SUEs would be all over that stuff once they learned of it.

"Moongates are rectangular, so no. I don't know what that is," the Avatar says, being the one who used Corp Por earlier.

Your Knights and SCP begin clean up operations as ANON begins the database search, and Star-Lord takes the goddesses and Keiichi aside.

"You sure you don't want to hitch a ride? It's actually fairly comfy in there," Star-Lord says, jerking a thumb at the spacecraft behind him.

"We have our own method of flying," Belldandy returns with a smile, a large broom floating to her hand. Star-Lord blinks.

"Er... OK..." he says, turning to Lind. "Well, can I at least count on you to keep them out of trouble?"

"No," Lind states. "Trouble and them get along far too well to keep them out of it. But I can hinder trouble, and will."

"Fair enough," Star-Lord nods.

Well... there was talk of a war with Heaven. Perhaps some infernals want in on this. Or were wooed as advisors. But given how things ended up in the latest Diablo series, I don't think hell is in any shape to really do much of anything.

I don't recall any major figures from the Diablo series that routinely wore purple, red, or black. None of the iconic depictions of the player-characters, anyway.
>>
>>19473886
Imo, I'd start on a Rescue Urd plan at the moment.
Ask Skuld or Bell to accompany us, if they're still here.
We'll just get Drooooooones! with time lock bands to do the rescuing. That should work.
Heck, if we can get Banpei then problems are solved forever.

Once that's done, another sweep for reality distortions should get a much clearer worldview.

Keep the Transpace emitter search team searching.
Keep the Bloodhound team searching.
Get an Observer up with the Bloodhounds.
Now that 40k's portals are closed, our Auror scrying should work better. Though, our Farseer's scrying should work worse. Plan:
Scry the Redshirt, Purpleshirt and Blackshirt.

That should get us started on our current problems.

"Three entities, their identities and intentions unknown, came through. We are attempting to track them now. We will update you with any new information we acquire concerning them. They could simply be auditors come to investigate the recent troubles. Or they could be others like Ahriman and us, who were sent here to repair damage done to the balance by another Agency.
"Please allow us to find them and contact them first before you take any action."

Now have the Storm warp back to extreme Earth orbit and begin scanning for reality distortions in Nekomi City now.
>>
>>19473898
19473954 here.
I think that, even if Urd is safe, she'll be able to do a decent amount of troubleshooting if we free her.
It also removes Hild's motivation for any war.
Safe? Yes, she is safe, but right now the world isn't.
>>
>>19473928
Despite being the best equipped for the job, the VPs lose the trail of their quarry and spend the rest of the day fruitlessly searching for him.

Finalon's keen elven tracking abilities allows him to track the prints all the way to the Nekomi Campus. Tosh looking up as they get closer.

"Someone's near, mon. But his mind be shielded. Hard to even sense, let alone read. Still. That way," Tosh nods. Tosh and Finalon sneak around the edge of the campus, following the tracks away from the university and back into the city proper, going through backstreets and alleyways, several times sighting a dark figure fleeing just ahead. They increase their speed, and soon find themselves in an alley, at the end of which is a man in a black suit, his back to Tosh and Finalon, apparently talking on some sort of high-tech walkie talkie. The Oncoming Storm detects another transpace communication as this happens.
>>
>>19474022
Scry that man.
Scry "That man but purple".
Scry "That man but red".
Sensor lock on that man.
Now we know where the comms are coming from, let's listen in on them and get decoding. Tech h4x squad, 50% of h4x is decoding anyway. Get on it.

We'll want to talk to the man. Tell him we're not hostile.
"Hi! Who are you talking to?" is a good first bet.

Are these Transpace comms? As in, fully 100% Transpace comms, and not just any old meta-comms?
If so, we may have an issue on our hands.
>>
>>19474022
>>19474022

Shit. He knows he's cornered. He's going to either call down for reinforcements or for transport.

Should we have Tosh let loose with a mind-blast?
>>
>>19474022
He's from a Meta-Aware Faction that has access to transpace communication technology.
Our normal procedures of obfuscating our identity do not apply.

Tosh, identify ourselves as a Transpace Guard Sector Task Force, and demand them to identify themselves. Be ready for a hostile response.
>>
>>19474071
I don't think so, a "Hello" would go further than a mind blast.
What if this dude is Black Ops?
You don't start robusting Black Ops.

Seems like a solid plan.
>>
>>19474022
Aha!

Tosh, Finalion; get an image of the figure when he turns around. Call out to him. Be prepared for shit to happen. Friendly first!

Ryu, I hope you're nearby and ready to pounce this guy like a motherfucker. We want him alive, but don't hurt him if you can help it!

If not, Tosh mind hax and Finalion try and snag his clothes to some wall or something with Tolkien-level Elven archery. Don't let him get away!
>>
>>19474123
Ryu is busy himself, but we'll get to that in a moment.

>>19474066
You don't know if it's TG technology or another device that allows transpace communication.

"We be a task force for the Transpace Guard," Tosh warns. "Tell us who y' are."

"The Transpace Guard?" the man asks, not turning around as he returns the walkie-talkie to a jacket pocket. "I see. What are you doing here?"

"This is Task Force 38 of the Transpace Guard. We're here to neutralize the reality distortions which were de-stabilizing this Canon.

Finalon, keep your bow aimed at him; we might still need you to disable him.

>>

"First off, we're asking the questions. Let's start with 'Who are you?' and 'What are you doing here?'. The Guard is conducting an official reality stabilization operation, and you and your two companions just suddenly appear out of nowhere? You are very suspicious in your timing, sir."

I don't like this. I don't like it at all.

If he was Black Ops or another branch of the Guard he'd have flashed his creds by now. Guys, I don't like this at all. Divert someone to assist in one of our Al'Kesh? The modern-day-looking forces, of course.

> So you claim dominion over these worlds?
Well I don't see YOU fixing reality distortions.

>>
>>19474329
No, we shouldn't send more troops into a situation that's still unknown. It's better to keep an Al'Kesh locked on to Tosh and Finalon to beam them out rather than sending in more troops into an unknown situation.

The Al'Kesh can be on-station and doing overwatch with its staff cannons.
The only other forces we should move to the area are Hornet attack choppers, because they're expendable.
Any other forces can be beamed to Tosh and Finalon in a second, so there's no need to move them around prematurely, or have them show up before we know what we're dealing with.

"Enough of dis. Tell us who you be workin' for. Don't be tryin' anytin' funny now. You got nowhere ta run." Tosh warns.

The man chuckles, turning. He wears dark glasses and has short black hair. ANON is unable to match the face to anyone in its database. He cracks his knuckles, through Tosh's feed, you can see he wears black gloves made of some dull black material. He slams his fists together and a few small arcs of electricity jump from one glove to the other.

"Nowhere to run?" he says. "My friend, you're the one that has nowhere to run!"

With that, he punches the wall of the alley, the buildings around the trio shuddering, as stone walls burst open. In the span of a few seconds, the mouth of the alley has been closed off, sealing Finalon and Tosh within along with the mysterious stranger.

"Some sort of cloth armor?" Finalon murmurs as he draws another arrow. Tosh attempts to unleash a mind blast, but the potent psionic explosion fails to stun the stranger, though it does knock him back a bit.

"Neat trick," the stranger says, smiling. He then charges, reaching Tosh before the Spectre has a chance to unsling his gauss rifle. Tosh recovers quickly though, drawing his balisong and slashing low at the stranger's torso while Finalon steps back to aim.

Have an Abjurer give this spell a try
BANDS OF STEEL
Conjuration (Creation)
Level: Sorcerer/wizard 3
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Target: One creature
Duration: 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Reflex partial
Spell Resistance: No
You conjure a number of shining metallic bands out of thin air, encircling a Medium or smaller creature. The victim must succeed on a Reflex save or be immobilized (helpless). If the saving throw succeeds, the victim is only partially trapped by the bands (treat as entangled).
A creature immobilized by the bands can attempt escape as a full-round action, either by bursting free
(Strength DC 18) or wriggling out (Escape Artist DC 18). An entangled creature can use a full-round action to break or disentangle itself with a DC 13 Strength check or a DC 13 Escape Artist check. Large or larger creatures are too big to be captured or impeded by the bands.

He could have been transmitting from his walky-talky. Or possibly talking to a device on his person. I don't want to point fingers, but his undefined powers combined with reliance on personally-crafted weapons... this screams IDPKB to me. Only with a person who might not be an important character at all.

Finally, get Tosh and Finalon up to the Storm's medbay, and everyone else onto an Al'Kesh in preparation for when Ryu catches up with his target.

The IDPKB uses a stargate-like method for transporting troops to and from sectors. But we do not know at the moment if they require a gate to travel back from those sectors. It might not hurt to pay them a visit once all of this is over, and if we have some spare time.
>>
>>19475049
Then I misunderstood how they work and will keep that in mind for the future. Does anyone have any idea of the limits of those things so future derps can be avoided? I know they can do surface to orbit teleports of things up to skyscraper size.

Anyway, you have a choice. You can take a free after-the-fact reroll due to MetaMistake, or I can go back to round 3, teleport your other dudes in and we can redo it.

The DNA samples are collected quickly and efficiency, Tosh and Finalon's injuries being relatively light.

The scrying on the other two fails, but as this was happening...

Ryu managed to regain the trail of the red man, and followed it into the city. Several times he catches glimpses of red out of the corner of his eye, and several times he manages to almost catch up to sounds just ahead of him, and several times he almost loses the trail again. Ryu perseveres however, and as Tosh and Finalon fight their own battle, the following happens to him.

Ryu is walking carefully through an area currently abandoned in Nekomi, buildings damaged from some unknown struggle all around him.
>>
>>19475143

OP, is the first choice a reroll on a single roll that happens after this?

Ask him about the reality emitters.
>>
>>19475800
"'Unauthorized incursions' basically means anything that *causes* those disruptions. Very bad for everyone's health, you know."

Are any of those devices giving off a signal of some sort? Scan the fuck out of them!

"Repairing reality is; among other things; yes, sealing off the world against those 'incursions'. Perhaps we could work together, since there are some last bits to do before we're done fixing this world back to it's proper state."

Casually and totally innocently show him the Reality Emitter, Ryu. Like, disguise it as an annoyed look to the forces nearby that seem to be putting a dampener on the mod.. Or something just as innocuous.

Be prepared for questions.
>>
>>19475800
Do you know if your organization has like a... diplomatic branch or something?
And I suppose by unauthorized incursion I mean people showing up at this world who are not authorized to do so.
Such as that small army who showed up at about the same time you did.
We have successfully removed their presence here and prevented any more rifts from occurring.
And right now we're curious about what you and your companions are doing here.
>>
>>19475800
"Yes, we have neutralized the one that was causing the other world to bleed into this one, and will be taking him back to our base for proper trial and sentencing.
"As for your unauthorized incursion, this world is located within our jurisdiction. The TSAB knows better than to try to cover up an illegal incursion like this when the world is so deep in TG space. The kind of diplomatic incident that it would cause is not the kind of headache that anyone wants to deal with right now, given the current political climate.
"So, who do you work for? The IDPKB? The Combine? The ATN?"
>>
>>19475800

Have the Farseers and Cheryl (and Tosh, if he's up to it) see if they can detect any psionic signatures going to and from Guy. ANON, see if the devices on Guy are sending or receiving any transmissions.

>Guy

Well, "unauthorized incursions" in this context usually means something along the lines of going into a place with the intent of shooting the place up and reforming it into one's image, so to speak. Which can have far-reaching consequences.

May we ask what you mean by "intruding worlds"?
>>
>>19475880
Guy shows no reaction, and ANON cannot detect any specific signatures on his gear.

"What do you propose?" Guy asks.
>>
>>19475899
>>19475913
"We detected that another world was infringing on this one. If handled incorrectly, the two may have merged. Hopefully you stopped it along with the portals," Guy says. "You say you have jurisdiction here. This is your space? Your world?"
>>
>>19475917
Since we're both here to essentially get the same job done, and we're going to be paid either way, finding the last of our targets here, and either capturing him, and if he resists, silencing him.
>>
>>19475917
"Well, we have one more troublemaker to round up, and one of this world's more important individuals to get out of their current predicament.. Which would you be more interested in observing for a more proper report for your employers?"
>>
>>19475913
Guy is not sending or receiving either psionic or any other signals.
>>
>>19475972
"The sector in which this world resides is within our jurisdiction of worlds we have a responsibility to protect.
"The treaties between the TG and the TSAB were fairly clear about that. And even the Combine understands the concepts of borders, even if they don't respect them."
>>
>>19475991
Is he emitting any sort of Ninja Wave that would allow him to silently communicate with others of his group, especially other Ninja without sending any sort of wave or signal?
>>
>>19475917
Well could we get like at least a summary of your mission statement?
Like just as much as you're authorized to disclose?
>>
>>19475972
The world doesn't belong to us. It belongs to its native inhabitants.
We protect those native inhabitants.
This is our space, I suppose, in that we patrol it and protect it.

If we're here on roughly the same goals, can we get in touch with your commanders or some diplomats of some kind?

It'd be nice if we can work together.

Also, what exactly are your goals here, Guy?

Currently, our goals are to:
A. Interrogate a purple-suited man who came through the same portal you did, to see if his intentions are benevolent (and possibly gain his assistance with our second goal),
B. Capture the last remaining large distortion sources on this world, and
C. Not get our asses killed in the process.
>>
>>19475972

"Our jurisdiction" in the sense that if any forces from another world come into this one and try to claim it as their own or reshape it into a world that is more to their liking, we come in and try to restore the world to its proper state.

Let's make this clear; we do not participate in this world's politics or happenings at all, unless external forces threaten it. And once that external force's influence is removed or neutralized and the world is able to proceed on its natural course without further help, we withdraw and leave the world alone. We do not own this world, or its inhabitants. We work to ensure that nobody does, even if their intentions appear to be benevolent.
>>
>>19475972
Not really.
Think of it in terms of... law enforcement I suppose?
Like while we don't really own or command it, it is still our responsibility to deal with any destabilization in reality.
Also if your employer is looking for conquest, could I give you a polite warning and say that this is not somewhere you want to be?
Like sure it may seem "normal" to a casual observer, but there is some crazy shit going on here.
>>
>>19475972
Also, Guy - do you know about a man in a black suit and gloves?
Tough brawler, and he could shoot lightning from his fists.
We tried to talk to him, but he attacked us, and after we defended ourselves and try to capture him, he fled through a portal.
We'd like to talk to him, or at least learn what he's here for and who he works with.
Scry Mr. Purple based on what we know about him, get our bloodhound team on the case [VP99, VP98, Spike, Ryu, Tosh, Fina, Observer 1, Observer 2], have Farseers guide them, and try to locate Mr. Purple.
Keep scanning for reality distortions to see if we can pin down Tom or Purple.

"Borders imply sovereignty over the land. But I see. You seek to protect them, but do not rule over them. Much like the better ninja," Guy nods. "Yes, I can tell you that much. We were sent here to investigate the infringing of worlds, alongside some strange signals. The purple-suited man is with me. Tell me more about either, the troublemaker or the individual."
>>
>>19476112
"The troublemaker currently has someone of importance to the stability of this world under his charm. He has infiltrated tendrils of control into her mind, and she is unaware of how she is being twisted to dance to his whims.
"We are currently trying to track him down with our sensors, then will formulate a plan on how to capture or silence him."

...Wait a second.
Purple suited man?
No.
No they couldn't.
Could they?
>>
>>19476153
"I meant how I would be observing them."

>>19476099
Guy frowns. "Yes, I kno-"

ANON detects a transpace communication signal sent from outside the world to Guy as a device at his belt begins to beep.

"Excuse me for a moment."
>>
>>19476112
There was more than one troublemaker in this area. 4 major ones, with a few lackeys brought along with them.
[OOC: TC + Rei/Koh, Brett + Ahriman, ... That nazi dude I've already forgotten and his demon, and Tom]
Subject A was massively warping reality and creating inconsistencies in reality everywhere to suit his whims, we captured him.
Subject B was opening portals to other worlds and bringing in all sorts of nasties, we captured him.
Subject C was trying to bring War to this otherwise peaceful world. We captured him.
Subject D is warping reality, though on a smaller level than Subject A. Currently we're trying to find and capture him.

Ah, so Mr. Purple works with you? Cool. Is there any way we can get in contact with him?
>>
>>19476112
"The individual... Well, hilariously enough, she's a mid-level deity in this world. Another of the troublemakers that was here forced her into a freezing field on the Moon, rendering her incapable of performing her duties. Thankfully, the world can go on for quite a while before she would be utterly needed, but since we've quieted the situation down a lot more than it was we can probably go safely remove her from that field."

Also, guys.. Stop name-droping the other organizations. if he knows how big-time we are he might not slip up and give us something.
>>
I see that nobody has invented a meta-communicator with a "vibrate/no ring" setting.
>>
>>19476178
Welp.
Either he's going to try to fight Ryu, or he's just gotten the bug-out order because his employers realized who they're messing with by questioning the black-coated guy.
>>
>>19476178
Intercept them communications.

Well now we at least know these 3 work together and their intentions are at least mostly benevolent.

Can we intercept their comms yet?
>>
>>19476178
..Well, that's not gonna work well.

If he starts to portal, Ryu needs to ninja-grab something important-looking from Guy. Maybe even prevent him from portalling out.

If he confronts us, tell him the truth: guy in black attacked first. We were trying to be peaceful and he attacked without provocation when we asked him basic questions like we did you. The ones he fought were forced to defend themselves with appropriate levels of force given the situation.

If he does get past or they actually want to talk or something, at least get a name of their organization.
>>
rolled 54 = 54

>>19476256
You attempt to intercept the communications, but as before, it is now heavily encrypted. Your technical staff is still attempting to break the code...
>>
>>19476167
I'm suspecting Rain from Mortal Kombat.
>>
>>19476178
Should we Accio and/or teleport out that Device?

If we have it, we might be able to better decrypt things or find out where comms are going.
On the other hand, Guy will be upset at us.
>>
>>19476308

We're trying to build trust, at the moment. We may learn more from him if we work alongside of him.
>>
rolled 99 = 99

>>19476285
They are still unable to decipher the message.

Guy nods as he returns the communicator to his belt.

"Sorry, I must be going, Transpace Guard Task Force 38. I don't know why my ally attacked you, but I will tell you that's unusual for him. If this area of time-space is under your jurisdiction as you claim, we will certainly meet again. Farewell," Guy says as he reaches into a pouch at his belt. Ryu makes a lunge for the object...

Tech team get a lock and try to work out where the port is headed towards

Go now
>>

>>19476360

"What are you-" Guy gets out before Ryu closes the distance and grabs the object. The smoke bomb detonates in Guy's hand, blanketing the area with thick, gray smoke as the sounds of a scuffle are heard from within.
>>
>>19476360
Hahahaha!

The instant Ryu gets it away, Al'Kesh teleports it up to the Storm's containment bay.

>>19476383
GOD NO. No more targets in the firing zone! This is gonna be ninja battle territory in about three seconds!
>>
>>19476412
But ninjas don't work that way.
>>
>>19476383
Go-fucking-dammit are you trying to mess this up?
Accio won't work because the Aurors don't know what the devices look like.
Trying to get Ryu to grab something at the same time it's getting dematerialized is just asking for him to get beamed out as well as the same time!
You stupid shit.
>>
>>19476408
Route the Al'Kesh sensors through the Oncoming Storm. Try to get a lock on the devices while Ryu keeps Guy busy. Beam them out with Virtun using a Double Roll for this.
>>
>>19476425
If anyone else runs into an area where Ninja are fighting, they are designated "Mooks" and are bound to get killed en masse as the Ninja battle. We don't want to get anyone killed, so let Ryu Ninja handle it.

>>19476408
If we somehow end up with a captive Guy, we need to be as gentle as possible with him. Treat him well, don't fry his brain if we do try to look at his memories, and release him if his organization gets in contact with us. I'd actually like for us to end up on good terms with this other group if possible.

Well that's a little better.

The Al'Keshes and Storm manage to beam out two devices as the two ninjas fight within the gray haze.

After a few more seconds of fighting, a red blur breaks through the smoke and into the shadows. Ryu limps from the smoke, holding his ribs. From the lack of blood, it seems it didn't go past a fist fight.

"That didn't go like I thought it would," he mumbles.

On board the Al'Kesh, the two items are the transpace communicator you saw him use earlier, and a mysterious device you cannot yet identify.

That's all for now. Tune in on Friday for the exciting conclusion (I hope) to this stage!
>>
>>19476615
When we get a chance, we need to train Ryu in fist fighting. Maybe from Agrias as a Monk or by getting a Street Fighter or something.
>>
>>19476615
>transpace communicator
Good. It should have the encryption keys we need to decrypt the messages that we intercepted.

As for the mysterious device, we should put it in Containment and get the scientists and Egon looking at it.
>>
>>19476615
Well, he *is* Guy. The fact you guys didn't escalate is a very good thing.

That shit gets into Containment ASAP. Faraday Cage around that communicator just in case.

Also, hand-to-hand refreshers would probably be a good thing for him.

Night, OP.

Another meta-organization. This can complicate things.

While their agents seem to be a bit heavy on the muscle, whoever's directing them appears to have a fair working knowledge of several canons, as evidenced by their recognition the Space Marines, Von Luckner tanks, Prawn suits/aliens, and the Mobile Infantry battle suits. But their attitude on the current state of meta-politics so far appears to be lacking, at best. I wonder if they've only recently achieved meta-awareness and the capability to travel between canons.

These guys might have been scouts. I hope they were scouts. While Guy is awesome, I cannot see how he and his comrades could have succeeded in repulsing Ahriman or the SUEs, even with their reality emitters.
>>
>>19476615
> and a mysterious device you cannot yet identify.
Guess who has a spellbook of Identify?
We do.
>>
>>19476615

Why did we attack guy? It seemed like the talks were going well. Anyway what is done is done.

I think we best sort out Tom before trying to reboot anything. Considering that he seems to be in bed with Peroth all day we will have to resort to talking.
The only problem is that we have to find him first. WE could ask the other goddesses were Peorth is but we are supposed to have as little interactions with the canon characters as possible.

Lastly I do think that getting the goddess's to help get Urd out is a good idea. We don't want her panicking and turning into her demon form.

P.S.We might get a visit from Belldandy pretty soon :/
