The golem's feet clicked as it ran for you. .
And you tossed the crystal to Impulse.

Apparently, the golem viewed Impulse as a 'girl' as well. . and barreled into her, bowling her over and snatching the crystal from her.

"Don't think your tricks don't bother other people." You say. "This was not what I agreed on."
You cross your arms and 'humph' at her. She pulls herself up, examines the crystal, then raised her eyebrow. ". . Fair enough." She said. "I doubt I could get you to cast another unsealing spell on me, huh. Golem, hand the crystal to me."
"Yes, Eidolon."
Bubbles, dropped the crystal into her palm.

You touch Bubbles' surface, and you draw energy out of it. The golem's crystals go dark, and its head droops.
"I stand by my word." You say. "Put the crystal out of your reach, and I will unseal a portion of your abilities."
She frowns. "I don't like the idea of letting go of this thing. I'll be fine if I stay sealed; It just means I need to find World Key sooner, rather than later. You still going to let me hitch a ride over the Warped Lands, right?"
>>
>>19517465
"I was going to unseal your magic, you know. I upheld my end of the bargain. But then, you sodded it up, cheated me, made me break reality to keep such a dangerous bit of sorcery out of your hands- if you couldn't trust me enough to simply ask for it nicely you certainly can't be trusted after stealing it- and the hands of whoever acquired that crystal, and then you mind controlled my loyal knight! Speaking of which, undo that codeword, and either free him or transfer control back to me. You're doing a terrible job at being tricksy, Impulse. You're just being rude, untrustworthy, and... And... A GIT! I'll give it another go, but don't expect me to be happy about you wasting my magic, AND causing this standoff."
>>
>>19517578
You did just try and cheat me, and then you commanded Ser Bubbles to assault me and steal this from me. You are hardly being a hospitable guest.

Before I even consider allowing you to stay on my ship you're going to have to relinquish all control over Ser Bubbles and grant it to me.
>>
>>19517578
"Of course. Now, would you like that power or not?"
>>
"You did just try and cheat me." You say, "And then you commanded Ser Bubbles to assault me and steal this from me. You are hardly being a hospitable guest."
You wait a beat, for dramatic effect, and then continue.
"Before I even consider allowing you to stay on my ship, you're going to have to relinquish all control over Ser Bubbles and grant it to me."
"Why would I?" She asked. "You heard it; I'm it's maker. Golem, climb onto the gryphon."

Ser Bubbles climbs up, and curls up on the gryphon's back- 'Ol Beaky doesn't seem happy about it. Impulse, meanwhile, closes her eyes, and whispers a spell.

"Oh, I actually don't think I need your help to get to the provinces. You hardly noticed; but the Heart learned your trick. Take me, the golem, and the gryphon to the Provinces." She says, commanding the heart. With that, you feel the crystal's magic flare up. . and then Impulse vanishes, alongside her two companions.

You close your eyes, and focus. .You seek Bubbles, Ser Bubbles. . You scry.

But, with a chilling realization, you feel. . that isn't his Name anymore. Not since he changed his loyalty to Impulse. Now he. . he doesn't have a name.

Your magic is pulled into the void, and you can't see anything but fog.

Pssst. You missed ooonee.

You bite your lip, and try again.

This time, you try Impulse. You seek her, focusing. . .

The fog parts, and you see Impulse walking down the street of a human city, smiling broadly. The golem clanks behind her, obviously refilled with power- apparently from the Heart.

She draws the Heart out, once more, and talks with a jeweler in a shop. The distance makes it hard for you to hear. .but the jeweler eventually gives her a chain. She attaches it to the Heart, and puts it around her neck.

"Hey, Uriel." She says to the gryphon next to her. "How is the ankh doing? Thirsty?"

The gryphon nods.

"Then let's go take care of that."

Move Golem or Move Heart. With the heart we'll have a huge font of magic to draw from, and have the knowledge to fix Ser Bubbles when he shows back up, so in effect it'll be saving Ser Bubbles in the long run. Also, denying Impulse her bullshit power, because evidently she's not who she said she was (a scholar of the inner workings of magic and reality) and is in fact an evil mastermind. Or both. She can't be trusted with the Heart.
>>
You reach out. . and grab the Heart with your magic. The strain brings you to your knees, at this distance. .But through the fog, you pull it towards you.

For the second time, the heart appears in your hand.

But this time, when you touch it- it gleams, as if accepting you. Some strange, aware presence touches the edge of your mind, and, quite casually, it somehow informs you that Impulse. . literally *was* Eidolon.

I think we need net guns and rapid fire ballistas for when impulse tries to retrieve the crystal...

make sure uriel dies properly this time...

instead of magic cannons why not ballistas enchanted to be easy and faster to reload, but not automatic.

then we simply enchant a few barrels of quarrels or stones...

the mechanism might be more comp[licated, but anyone can be taught to operate a balista

"One artifact to another." You whisper across the continent, into Impulse's ear. "A fair trade."

You study the Heart more, examining how the magic flows. . And it doesn't flow. It's. .a spring of energy, a source- something that brings energy forth from nowhere when called upon.

You inform the heart that it was traded away for a mere golem.
It doesn't seem to mind.
The heart starts probing your mind, as if trying to seek out exactly *how* you Moved it twice.

"Ell, charge the crystals and make haste across the blasted lands."

The elf, who had just tiredly woken up, gives you a weary look, but then nods and approaches the wheel.

You go back to the Heart ask if it can explain what the Archeotheka is. . and you realize it doesn't know. It just knows that is what Eidolon called it. It separates the words into their constituent parts; 'Archaeo'. . Earlier, primitive. . Perhaps it means ancient artifacts, it surmises. 'Theke' means box, or vault. .

After a moment, the Heart realizes that the closest it can get to explaining the Archaeotheca is that it's some kind of. . collection of artifacts? Unification?

Suddenly, Ell's eyes burst into light, and you sense the. . entire weave, twisting toward him.

He screams, and wings of blue flame burst from his back, raw magic arcing through his body.

The entire Jormungandr. . Moves- and you're suddenly floating above Cerulean City.

Ell is unconscious, on the floor, and he has. . small burns in his back and arms, small points where lightning had burned out. You touch it, and feel that. . the entire weave, at once, tore through his body. That much magic. .
He'll live, the Heart informs you. Magic in raw form cannot kill someone.

Don't give the sword away. They want nothing to do with important and therefore dangerous stuff, so we let them go back to their simple life without the burden of a legendary weapon.

We can't trust Fellwind. He doesn't want the sword anyways, and might give it to someone else just to be rid of it.
>>
With a start, you notice that he isn't wearing his Gauntlet. Then how did he use the Jormungandr's control crystal?

"What happened?" Raziel and Ezekiel says, rushing up to Ell. The elf stirs, and blinks. Then opened his eyes.
"I saw it." He said, his eyes wide. "And I. . I took it inwards. A bit too much, I guess." He pulls himself up, and looks overboard, peering through the fog that makes you invisible.
"How long was I out? We can't be here already, can we?"

Ezekiel looks overboard. "Uh... Last I knew, we were at the Prism. Did we translocate? Raziel, did we translocate?"
He looks mildly alarmed.
"Did. We. Translocate?" He asks a third time, much more alarmed, and Raziel recoils.
"I don't know? How could I know?"
"Damnit, I wish Cassiel was here." Ezekiel said harshly, and he clenches his talons. It reminds you of the time he started slinging spells at Raziel.

neither one gets it. lewin is an archer and already has an enchanted bow, so he doesn't need it. Fellwind gave the thing back to us, he neither needs nor deserves it. Fellwind: Asshole. Does NOT want the sword. Clearly stated that he doesn't want it at all.

Impulse: Asshole. Has clearly stated that she wants the sword. Is known to be very tricky. Would have no problem asking nicely for it or holding Lewin hostage in exchange for it.

Put those two things together and you can see why we shouldn't give him the sword.

>"He had somewhat of an awed tone to his voice. "Is it an artifact? Because it seems like one of those things that become legendary over time."

>>
"Yes, it seems we translocated."
Ezekiel calmed down, and took a deep breath. "Okay. . The twins haven't shown up. . so we might be okay."
"The twins?" Ell asked.
"The other twins." Ezekiel said. "They like to follow coven members when they translocate."
"Apparently, Ell here was a little too tired, and tried to fly the jormungandr without realizing he didn't have his gauntlet- and *succeeded*. We got here in an instant."
"Huh. That's cool." Ell said. "I feel kind of like I. . used something up. Not magic, but something else."

Lewin and Fellwind came abovedeck, alongside the lizardman brothers.

"We're here already?" Lewin asked; he look a bit disappointed.
"Yep, we're here." Fellwind said. "Let's be on our way."
>>
>>19518490
Because they really want Fellwind to stay even though he called us a monster. And wants to kill us. He's spit upon our good name and renounced his oaths, and convinced Lewin to do the same. Now, it'd be nice if we could convince Lewin. But I don't think that's possible.

We need a true, proper knight to wield that sword. Like the one who died. Who Fellwind LOOTED IT FROM, and we later reforged it. With magic. Because we thought Fellwind would be a steadfast and loyal protector to the end, despite his hard edges. We were wrong. We need to find that knight, who this sword truly belongs to, and restore him to life as a magical semi-organic semi-synthetic construct. A skeleton in a metallic body.
>>

There's no good way for this situation to go. If we give it to Lewin, then he'll buckle to Fellwind and run off with it, or he'll freak out, stop being a doormat and someone will get stabbed and that would be horrible. If we give it to Fellwind, he'll spot on it or us, with a tiny chance he'll go "oh for fuck's sake fine" and realize we aren't a monster to give away an artifact TWICE. But that's miniscule. If we keep it, they're gone for good no dobut. We'll ring up Lewin and Fellwind another time if we can. But we're keeping the sword that cannot be stolen. Because we're not risking it being given to Impulse or left to rust in a stone somewhere. We need it for mechaknight anyways.

You reach out your magic toward him, ready to detect lies. .

"Well, among other things, I am a skilled swordsman. .and I am immune or resistant to most forms of magic." Unknown, comes the spell's response.

"How about you accompany us while we're in the city, and I'll decide later?"
"Very well." He responded. "Until then, I shall join your cotorie."
"How come you're resistant to magic?"
"I must admit, I don't know." He said. "The magister said that it was due to some kind of . .latent power in my family's blood that awoke. He then spent the rest of the week casting spells on me. Some worked, some didn't. . some singed me quite badly. In the end, he said that spells cannot effect me, but they can effect the. .world around me, which then effects me."

". . Just a little bit." He said. "But I have a feeling every time I be sarcastic in your presence, something will happen to show me up. So I'm going to have to tone it down, if I wish to keep my pride intact."
>>
>>19521545
Surely there's some sort of hight problem.
>>
>>19521545
>>19521543
We will ride in on Grayson, gracefully dismount and then dance flawlessly with him.
>>
>>19521561
I like this guy
He knows what's up

>>19521515
Grayson, mother fucker

>>19521561
I thin kwe should go back to the ship and start making clothes if we want to be on time

>>19521562
I am sure its nothing that cannot be handled.

>>19521561
I have no idea what you mean.
>>
"Well. . I must take my leave." Kristoph said, bowing to you. "Make preparations and such. Where shall we meet?"
". .We can meet at the Jormungandr." You say, after a moment's thought.
"The Jormungandr? That's not, like, a giant dragon or something, is it?"
<Ell?> You ask, signaling through the rings.

The massive, orcish and orichalum airship suddenly bursts into existance, small, dark violet flower buds on the hull. That's strange- the Galadriel's Lights are normally light blue, and they definitely weren't at this stage of growth yet.
"Oh, I see. The Jormungandr." Kristoph said, mostly to himself. "The flying airship that can appear from nowhere. Makes perfect sense."
>>
>>19521646
"Yes, Jormungandr."

Please use this now >>19521638
we should start making those clothes.

Tell Nahkit to come to the ship so that we can make his clothes too
>>
>>19521683
+1
>>
>>19521646
I think the pet troll will break him.
>>
>>19521646
Deep purple seems to be our thing. First the power crystals, then bubbles, then the sword and now the flowers. I don't suppose there's any type of magic accociated with purple?

"It can appear from nowhere, but this time it was here the whole time."
>>
I was wondering, how does Grayson get on and off the ship, any way?
>>
>>19521714
Magic.
>>
>>19521683
Only if Nahzit gets a monocle.
And a matching one for Grayson.
>>
>>19521714
Jumps?
>>
>>19521714
Moonwalks
>>
>>19521714
I always imagined Grayson being a black bear, and they are proficient climbers.
>>
>The gangplank is reinforced. Also DIRE MAGICS.
>The same dire magics which magically moved the wooden ring around his neck to a piercing in his ear. You didn't actually see it happen- one day it was around his neck, the next, in his ear.

"Yes, the Jormungandr." You say. "Now, we must go- we have our own preparations to make."
"Of course." Kristoph said, and walked out of the monument hall.

You make your own way back to the Jormungandr, and get the cloth out of Grayson's pack, and get to work.

There are a few minor issues- namely, Nahzit absolutely hates pants, and they don't fit with his tail much, so you end up having to give him a skirt and a dress tunic.

But finally, finally, you finish them in time. . Almost.

You close your eyes, and dredging something up from your memory. .

On each tunics' breast, and on the hip of the each dress, you embroider the sigil of Arcturus- A pheonix, rising from the, not flames, as one would expect, but long, pointed-petaled flowers.

Now. . Now you're ready.

How do exactly our clothes look like and how are they compared to other nobles?
>>
>>19521826
If we hold Rikar, it turned into amethyst, but is it still as strong as diamond? Or is it weaker because we're not 'pure' enough?
>>
>>19521881
>Uh . . Fancy, I suppose. Cerulean City is full of tailors, and they all have their own specific styles- what you did was you took all of the most 'famous' styles, combined them, and added a splash of Arcuturus style.

>>19521913
>When Rikar changes color, it means it has 'accepted' you, which means it will be active in your hand. It doesn't do things halfway; it just either accepts you, or ignores you.

On a scale of 10 'fanciness', how many 'fancies' do we have and how 'fancy' are the rest of the nobles?

and how long is a kilogram?
>>
>>19521941
We made 3-4 dresses in less then two hours? Was magic involved? We need to know so we don't pass out mid ball.

Why would Rikar accept us? It's not like we're an honorable knight. We've stolen a bunch of stuff.
>>
>>19522009
Of course was magic involved
>>
>>19521993
A kilogram is about 5 Celsius long, everybody knows that.
>>
>>19521993
Slightly shorter than YOUR MOM!
>>
>>19522009
>Why would Rikar accept us? It's not like we're an honorable knight.
Well we did make it. You don't reject your parents just because you have slight ideological differences. It's not like we're evil or anything.
>>
>>19522009
>Why would Rikar accept us? It's not like we're an honorable knight.
Eh... what makes you think it will only accept honorable knights. In fact, what the hell do you know what an 'honorable knight' even is? Perhaps your idea and its idea are different?
Stop assuming shit, dammit.
>>
>>19521964
>>On a scale of 10 'fanciness', how many 'fancies' do we have and how 'fancy' are the rest of the nobles?
They're at a 7-8 on average, and you're around a 9 or so. Would have been a 10, but you were rushed.
>>19521974
>>Also, how fancy is Grayson?
A 15 on the scale from 1 to BEAR
>>19521979
>>And how fancy is the Jormungandr?
. . . Yeah, let's just move on.

>>19522009
>>Was magic involved?
Yes. Yes it was. Specifically, it was an 88 roll from previously in the thread.
>>Why would Rikar accept us?
Because you don't know the exact specifications behind the artifacts. Not even Eidolon\Impulse can know exactly what they do, or how they do it, or WHY they do it. It's what makes them artifacts.

Oh man, that what we need, a SPESS MUHREEN to add to our retinue
>>
>>19522252
We need to acquire a full understanding of being a spess marine, so we can create Marine Elementals.
>>
>>19522323
So... water elementals?
>>
>>19522323
We shall create an army of them, and Raziel shall animate Guilliman as their spiritual liege.

marine [muh-reen]
adjective
1. of or pertaining to the sea; existing in or produced by the sea
>>
>>19522359
>>19522383

You're obviously forgetting the most important ingredient of all:
Speehss!
>>
>>19522383
Wrong form of Marine. We want the noun form.

>1.
>>a. A soldier serving on a ship or at a naval installation.
>>b. Marine A member of the U.S. Marine Corps.
>>>c. SPESS MUHREENS
>>
>>19522393
>REMEMBER, you can only put either emotions, or the four cardinal elements into an elemental.
>Which means, in order to make a SPACE MARINE elemental, you need to feel empty space. In other words. . . you need to feel nothing at all.

"Monster."
"Monster."
"You're a monster."
You cover your ears, sobbing. You're. . alone, lost. They keep calling you. . they call you a monster, or an outsider, a murderer. Everyone, everyone hates you.
You just want. . something, something other than this pain. You would even prefer to feel. . nothing at all.
. . And why can't you make that come true? You could. .you could make it come true. you could burn away your feelings. . it wouldn't be hard, and it wouldn't. . hurt anymore.
As if you had cast a spell. . you bring your magic up to grip your heart. . and tear it out.

You smile. It's an empty smile. . so much so that the crowd around goes silent.
You raise your hand. Let's show them how *right* they were, shall we?
An elemental made of . . something, something dark, something empty. A shadow, darker than a shadow. . It starts absorbing heat, and light, and the people around start. . running. But the ones closest. . they're empty eyed, just like you. This elemental must have. . taken their hearts from them.
Good. Now you can have 'friends' that aren't scared of you.

>Neutral end: Void queen.

Fuck.
>>
>>19522525
Best end. We'll show Fellwind.

Actually no, that's terrifying.
>>
>>19522525
What chain of events would lead to that happening?
>>
>>19522959
>No clue. Perhaps the Jormungandr explodes, and everyone on it dies. . but you Sorceress yourself a shield and you land. .Everyone sees you walk out of the rubble, and assumes you're the cause.
