Anyone up for some action with bolter bitches tonight?
>>19594155I'm here, though I may have to elave sometime soon.Or not, I can't be sure now.
Reporting for duty brother.
>>19594155bumping with last sessionhttp://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/19566182/We were about to storm the Covenant of the Order of Bloody Tears to extract our ally Magos Fram...
>>19594249mhmm looking forward to it.Oh by the way going to the Foolz archive and searching for User: 'Skargan' or Subject: 'Chapter', is a great way to see if there's a thread up.
>>19594242>>19594181Good to see you both. I am not sure for how long I will be here, but it would be nice to conlude this bussiness with sisters. So, you are in orbit of Attero, with the full might of your Chapter behind your back, thinking about how to get out your hostage...
>>19594288I think we should go for a show of force with our chapter, and demand Fram be released, while 6 revenants, led by Geron, infiltrate the base and prepare to extract Fram should the Sisters refuse to obey our demands.Thoughts?
>>19594281Yeah, I found foolz only recently myself. A damn useful tool.btw, I haven't updated Chapter Master profile:=Chapter Master=1 FATE POINTFighting skill 40Strength & Toughness 45Willpower 45Perception 47Intelligence 39Agility 36Charisma 42Traits:+Psyker(beginner)+Eldar tongue(basics)
>>19594309Cool.Also, don't forget your name.
>>19594308I'd go with this. Also, I'm pretty sure we'll have to kick some asses. In 40k, you aren't a respectable force if you haven't massacred some sisters.
Brethorius approaches you and gives you a slate with additional tactical information:Covenant of the Order of the Bloody Tears:Estimated enemy forces: 10 - 1000(?)Combat notes:-Zealous, will not surrender in battle-Covenant has multiple outer AA and anti-infantry defences, but few visible anti-armour emplacements-There is a high chance to infiltrate the facility using Revenants, but little chances to escape with hostage-Status of hostage is unknown
>>19594335Whilst we should be prepared to defend ourselves, we don't wanna start a civil war with the Sisters.
>>19594361If the sisters are fully engaged at the front of the monastary, what are the chances of the revenants extracting the prisoner successfully?Conversely, what are the chances of the revenants getting out without Fram, if he's released voluntarily?
>>19594312greetings to you too!what exactly do you have in mind by a 'show of force'? Do you want to parade 600 marines in front of their monastery? Fire a cyclonic torpedoe on one of the major pilgrim cities? What message do you send them?Roll d100 for persuasion/intimidation(depending on what you say)
I agree whole heartedly with Luigi.I've gotta bath my boy and put him to bed then I'll be free, don't explode into tentacles without me.
Just caught up with the rest of the last thread.I archived it last time, btw, I didn't think that oyu would show up and I had to go to sleep, so I wanted to make sure that it's archived.I would rather go full stealth, but we already showed up in force, so we might as well go through with it.So, send in the revenants and have them infiltrate. Then, stroll up to their front gate and demand that the dude is relased. If they refuse, have the team get him out of there while we keep a pretext of negotiation.Ideally, we would keep them busy talking, the revenants would do their job and we would just leave pretending that we gave up.By the time they realize that the dude has been released, we will be in our ships saying just as planned.
Wait wait wait I have an idea to get Fram AND not fuck up our relationship with the ecclesiarchy. What if we offer to aid them in a mission in exchange for the liberation of the magos?
>>19594387I think we should parade as many marines as we can muster, along with our Retribution Baneblade and our Predators (you said they had little Anti-Armor right?), and demand that they release Fram.We should tell them that the Magos should be doing the Emperor's holy work, and every moment he is refused the ability to continue his work is blasphemy to the Emperor.Any other ideas before I roll?
>>19594395I wanted to go full stealth but extracting Fram is REALLY frickin' hard.
writing now, gimme a second
>>19594371Getting out of the Covenant without the guards noticing is the same as for inflitration - 85%You are not sure how much it would decrease their defences, I will randomise how they react to outer threat.>>19594395Thanks a lot! I was thinking who did that.rolling for inflitration? Geron +5 Revenants?
>>19594387"It has come to our attention that a crime most foul has been comitted and one of our acquaintances has been taken to this monastery against his will. His name is Fram and we demand his release. Our words are backed by justice, heavy armour, bolters and orbital nuclear weapons."
>>19594387Hey you, have an invitation to Chapter Master game development IRC.irc.freenode.net, standard port, #chaptermaster

rolled 6 = 6>>19594436rolling for infiltration
>>19594449Sounds good.>>19594460Sweet roll
rolled 22 = 22>>19594469Since someone seems to approve of my write in, here's a roll.We will march most (I'm thinking 70% of available troops, along with the heavy tanks) up to their doorstep and position the rest wherever the codex astartes tells us to position them(depends on terrain, etc.)
>>19594490ohohoho you did it again!
>>19594490I like the way you roll.
>>19594455thanks a lot, I will join, but as long as I run quest, i might not be able to respond.>>19594460sweet roll>>19594449...and even sweeter roleplay(+20) to your intimidation bonus(it comes from your willpower).By the time you broadcast your message Brethorius turns from the consoles to you and nods:>Milord, they're inside. Also, I want to immediatelly make an official note that I want to present Scout Master Geron for commendation. He managed not only infiltrate the Covenant, but also infiltrate their guard HQ and relay us critical information about their defences:Enemy Forces:Canoness Amelia Engel3 Penitent Engines128 Sisters of Battle14 Sisters Repentia6 Sisters Celestian8 Rhinos---There are 712 prisoners being held here, among them:+prisoner no. 007 named 'Magos Heractus'+prisoner no. 700 named 'Magos Fram'+prisoner no. 230 named 'Astartes'+prisoner no 604 named 'Philosopher of Silent Stars'+prisoner no. 112 named 'Xeno Warlock'
>>19594603Free all prisoners we can. Especially that warlock. Obviously an Eldar. Also especially that one called Astartes.
>>19594603SHould we try to release others?I reckon Heractus is a heretic, otherwise Geron would have mentioned him.The 'Astartes' wouldn't be a CSM, otherwise it wouldn't be referred to as 'Astartes. The Xeno....maybe an Eldar? At any rate it's not our problem, though it might be the 'bodyguard' we encountered 4 years ago."Philosopher of silent stars"? No idea....
>>19594603Also you've got the codes to their outer gates, detailed plans of the Covenant and you know where secret anti-armour mines are placed, so you will be able to avoid them.>>19594490You receive a reply:>This is Canoness Amelia Engel of the Order of Bloody Tears. Your words weight heavy upon us. We wish to have no quarrel with Adeptus Astartes, however Magos Fram is a prisoner that belongs not to us, but to Ecclesiarchy. He is a third category heretic, known for his perversions and experiments upon the dead and the living. What is your bussiness with him and why do you want to free a blasphemer?
>>19594657"The Magos is of vital importance towards furthering this sectors holy crusade against the forces of Chaos and Xenos, I assure you, if he his released he will contribute to the deaths of many foes of the Emperor."
OOC: how to post in IRC? There is no place for text input>>19594657You also receive message from Geron:>We are prepared to extract Magos Fram. Sister s have moved into battle stations, we now have a 55% chance to leave undetected. If we would release all of the prisoners confusion would draw some attention away from us(you would get +20 bonus). If you want us to take any other prisoners with us, it will encumber us(-10 per each additional prisoner).
>>19594692I say we release the Astartes, the Xeno, the Philosopher and Fram. But we only take Fram and the Astartes with us, the others can find their own way, providing us with almost guaranteed successful extraction.
>>19594692I think we should free everyone but the heretek, and take Fram and the Astartes with us
>>19594672>We cannot spill blood of those who serve the Emperor... But we ask you to let our common Father on Terra to judge us. Give us 8 days, until Saint Augustine's Day and if there will be no sign from the Emperor, we will let you have prisoner Fram without a fight.
>>19594719We don't actual know is Heractus is a heretic or not....maybe we should release him anyway, I'm sure the sisters could take care of him.
>>19594724How long can the revenants stay in the monastery undetected for?
>>19594734A few hours. They would need to infiltrate again. Also, please roll intelligence.
rolled 85 = 85>>19594751rolling for intelligence
>>19594751Maybe we should release ALL the prisoners, tell the SoB we will assist them in getting the prisoners under control, and once we're inside, the revenants grab the Astartes and Fram, and move into out ranks and uncloak, acting like they've been with us all along?
>>19594751You remember a few unfinished things, but that's about it.Unfinished bussiness, quests and interesting facts:+Eldar prophecy warned you that in 325.M41 your Chapter will face an apocalyptic invasion of your homeworld. That is in 4 years from now on.+Wrath of Corax, the most valuable relic for your Chapter and all descendants of the Corax, was lost on Hades.+You have not completed your plans to apprehend Dresos Kand, merchant who might have something to do with illegal trade in xeno artifacts.+You are under influence of the Laughing God. If it is possible at all, it would probably be wise to try to repay your debt to him or at least to avoid his attention.+Anterion had an 'accident'. You are still not sure whether it was your curse that was at work or someone within the Chapter.+Anterion mentioned Silencius. Who the hell is he?
>>19594768So many loose ends....I think right now we should do>>19594764
>>19594764Idea is good, but that would be a terribly lucky coincidence, now that they already know that you are here after a prisoner. Also you are quite sure that just 50 Sisters would be more than enough to put those prisoners back into their cells, given time, not speaking about Penitent Engines and other suppor that they have.
>>19594800True it would seem odd, but they don't have any hard evidence, provided we sneak away successfully. Also the number of prisoners is what forces the Sisters to let us in to assist, allowing easier extraction.
>>19594816>>19594800Oh wait you said "you are quite sure..."I read it as "Are you quite sure...."Whether they let us in or not it should make it easier for our revenants to extract Fram, right?
Isn't there a procedure you have to go through to get declared a heretic?Ask them on whose authority Fram was declared a heretic and how.The best case scenario solution to this is getting the prisoners we are interested in released legally. The worst case is going in, blowing the monastery to pieces and getting our targets and a bunch of our marines killed in the process.
>>19594816It would certainly give you 'casus belli' in official Imperial court(if the matter reaches it) for intervention in order to assist Sisters, but there is another question whether they will let you in. Ofcourse you can always simulate a prison break, kill all the sisters and report that it was done by the prisoners.
>>19594838It's tempting, but I'm still kinda "ehhhh..." on killing Bolter Bitches for the hell of it, I mean, what are we, Grey Knights?
>>19594838it was me.>>19594828yes, prison break makes extraction chance 75%>>19594832>Magos Fram is not yet declared a heretic officially, because it was impossible to detain him, he was hiding from our sight on Nestorius for years and local authorities were not cooperative. Now that he has been detained, he have questioned him and his confession proves that he is a heretic. Now it is only a matter of time until we get a proper court ruling. We are holding him under the reason of 'suspected heresy' at the moment. You can try to use your knowledge of Imperial Law(non-existent) with an intelligence roll. Naturally whatever you say improves/decreases your chances. your Int is 39
>>19594889From what I can gather here, they are just following orders and some asshole in the higher rankings of the church is using this place to get rid of people who cross him one way or the other. There should also be legit prisoners in there(like that xeno warlock, as much as I want him out of there, he is a legitimate prisoner, since the Imperium is at war with most eldar, with Lyanden and a few other being notable exceptions)This whole thing demands a thorough investigation.
>>19594905"I'm sure Magos Fram's 'confession', was merely a misunderstanding caused by his confused state, as you said, he has been hiding for years, presumably alone, he must have been clueless as how to react."
>>19594905Do we have anyone on the ship with the proper knowledge? The chief navigator is a noble, right? He should be able to help us out here if he is around.>yes, prison break makes extraction chance 75%I'm not really fond of releasing all the prisoners. There are probably actual heretics in there and I do not want them running around. Also, the sisters go through enough shit as it is, I don't want to give them more unless we really have to.
>>19594949addendum "you must be aware, that machine cogitator translator from his version is an unupdated ones, dated from heresy era manufactorum, for sure the translation error leave NOT in 'i am not a heretic' out of the actual output"
>>19594922mhmm that's what i think.A conflict between the Ecclesiarchy and AdMech at high levels of command.....
>>19594949Also, he has a point, we would like to know some details about his confession. We do want someone with actual knowledge of law to take a closer look at it and how and why he provided the confession.
Must... not... make... strategic girth joke... in front of the sisters...
>>19594987im watching you
>>19594912welcome, bro!>>19594964No one on your ships know Law well enough to make a convincing case.>>19594949>>19594971>We believe that Imperial commision will find out how to accu... find out truth wheter he is a heretic.
Also, can't we request to interrogate him personally?
>>19595012damn those Sisters...Alright, we gave them plenty of chance, I saw we release the damn prisoners, offer our assistance (with our strength rounding up the prisoners should be good for some training), and get the Revenants, along with Fram and the Astartes out of there. Also, if we ARE let in, we should grab the xenos warlock if we get the chance.
>>19595033I *say we release the prisoners....Other thoughts?
>>19595012"under the monitorum case act of false accusation for heresy, you could be tried by trias judicia platform, 3 highest commander of eccelsiarchy, navy and monitorium, watched by astartes of the sector, if you falsely accuse an imperial citizen involving technical and clerical error, sure they REALLY have evidence and confession from Magos Fram?"
>>19595014>>19594982You can only have a copy of his signed confession.> I, Magos Fram of Nestorius, want to confess before the Emperor on Terra and his representative in Sector Deus, Cardinal Astrobelus, that I have commited heresy. I dabbled in dark arts, fornicated with the dead and mutilated the living for my pleasure, I spoke the names of Dark Gods and pissed on the Imperial Eagle while singing Imperial Anthem backwards. There is no way I can repent for those sins, so I request my lord Astrobelus to have kind heart and grant me Emperor's Mercy.>Magos Fram(signed barcode and written name)
>>19595067"sister, we use RFID in this sector, this is forgery"
>>19595033Seconding this.>>19595067>Dat sarcasmI already love this guy
>We believe that Imperial commision will find out how to accu... find out truth wheter he is a heretic. How about we demand the right to represent him in court? We have a librarian somewhere and we can hire a competent lawyer through our connections with the merchants or navy.If we win this case, we can go on and demand more info on the rest of the prisoners here and possibly bust them out too.The biggest problem here is how we would get that eldar.
so we ace attorney now
>>19595107The Chapter Mater is far from it.And our Master Librarian, the guy who would know shit about this, died recently, leaving us with his inexperienced protegé.
Clearly it's a forgery. Clearly there's some darker power at work here.I say we agree to wait, to lull them into a false sense of security, then in a day or two we send our stealths to infiltrate. They should target their power generators and security centers for strategic, co-ordinated strikes. When they are in disarray we can make a quick attack to get our man out, and free as many of the others as we see fit.
>>19595045>>19595078>>19595080>>19595093>>19595107Seeing that you are not planning to back down, Sisters use their last threat:>You can take Magos Fram, but if you do, we will take this matter to Lord Sector Governor and High Lords of Terra if need be! And you will need to sign the papers that you are taking him from us, that will be used as evidence!do you take the prisoner anyway?
>>19595134Our revenants are already inside, ready to release all the prisoners, allowing them to escape with Fram and perhaps a few others.
>>19595134also something something something strategic girth
>>19595130mmm fair enough
>>19595151they're expecing us to do something now which is why I say we wait, either they'll shore up their defences or lower their guard, hopefully they lower it. I WANT ALL DEM PRISONERS
>>19595150"YES WE WILL!"And NOW the revenants release the prisoners! If we were gonna get Fram anyway, they'll be less suspicious, and we can get the Astartes and maybe the xenos as well.
I'M GLAD TO SEE WE STILL DON'T DO THINGS BY COMMITTEE IN THESE THREADS
>You can take Magos Fram, but if you do, we will take this matter to Lord Sector Governor and High Lords of Terra if need be! And you will need to sign the papers that you are taking him from us, that will be used as evidence!>do you take the prisoner anyway?Yes, this is pretty much what I want. We will still have to get him a trial to clear our name, ofc, but now it's on our terms, not theirs.Soo... I vote yes.
sign the papers using only our girth and quill-fu
>>19595183Just FYI everything I say is open to discussion, I don't say anything conclusively.I probably should have added: "What I *think* we should do is:".
i am lazy to coordinate this, but so far you've had these choices:1. wait 8 days2. wait a few days and bust prisoners out3. release prisoners and offer sisters help4. exfiltrate your team with Fram at 55% or 75% if you release prisoners
>>19595203I personally think C and D.What do you think?
i vote quill fu to sign the fucking paper and revenant bail fram ass and we have accidental epileptic seizure and throw several kraken grenade
>1. wait 8 days>>19595202He is referring to the fact that there are only 2 of us in the IRC chatroomAnd I've been in there myself for about an hour now.irc.rizon.netrisingsons
>>19595203I say D, liberate everyone and save the astarte
cannot use the irc from here for some reason...
>>19595190>>19595187Agreed then. Revenants leave the Covenant and Magos Fram is released... Reputation gained:-Contempt[Adeptus Sororitas]
>>19595244Unlucky for the Astartes and the Eldar....coulda got us a lot of favour with a chapter and a craftworld.
>>19595244Sorry for my weakened roleplaying from this point onwards, I woke up at 4 am today, so I am quite sleepy, but I still want to play.Your fleet is above the Attero, Sub-Sector Tyranus, you have managed to secure Magos Fram who is very grateful to you for his rescue. Poor coghead seems to have been badly tortured, that's the way they forced him to make his confession. What do you do now?
>>19595244Now, time to talk things over with Fram and get things ready for the trial. Also, get our revenants out of there. If they get teh chance to take a closer look at that eldar, do it. If they can ask him questions, do that too.
Let's leave our stealth team behind and get them to break out more prisoners when we leave the planet 'cause fuck the SoB man

>>19595473i vote for the 29 yo
>>19595446Magos Fram reports that he was captured by random thugs, that were most likely either bounty hunters or thugs, working for Ecclesiarchy. As you might have noticed, confessions are directed to Cardinal Astrobelus, leader of Ecclesiarchy in the Diocese of Sector Deus. He is the arch-enemy of Fabricator General Regon... They hoped, that declaring Fram a heretic would strike a blow to the Nestorian Adeptus Mechanicus
>>19595473Well we should definitely focus training in defensive combat.Hang on, don't the Imperial fists owe us for that power fist we recovered? Could we get some of there defensive expertise and/or equipment?
>>19595457>> get wealth by exploring territory is my voteYeah, I support this too.I want to put Duke Glemont to work so we can get investment money while we wreck xenos' and traitors' shit and steal their stuff.
ok, my brain is fried, I don't want to make stupid mistakes, so I got to sleep. No game tommorow, but we can meet next week. Before you leave please decide on a couple of things, likeYour combat doctrine? How would you want to train your marines? What are your plans for development of Varda(if any)? What are your plans for financial development? How are you planning to prepare for the invasion(next session begins in year 322.M41, so you have 3 years)? What do you want to do next session?
>>19595527your last posts will be taken as statements.also please someone archive this, thank you.oh, and I added him to your Chapter: Duke Glemont - TreasurerI will be around for half an hour until I get ready to sleep, so if you have any questions for data or stmh, you can ask
>>19595527I think:We should train for defensive combat, asking the Imperial Fists if they could loan us some tutors to assist us in this endeavour.Financial-wise, we should send our fleet to explore other systems in order to find recruits and wealth, as well as our financial investor making us money as well.As for the invasion, we should concentrate on making more marines, buffing up our monastary's defences, and getting more hardware from Regon (concentrating on Retribution class Baneblades and Predators).
>>19595527Huh...I vote for:Combat doctrine: I'd say to remain flexible, if we have to focus on something then I vote for defensive combat with some stealth thrown in.Varda: No idea, I'll leave this to the others.Financial development: Leave business to the duke, maybe explore in our spare time. Buff the fuck out of our fortress defenses and get more vehicles.Next session: Dunno. What about the gladiatorial games?
>Your combat doctrine? How would you want to train your marines?>Hang on, don't the Imperial fists owe us for that power fist we recovered? Could we get some of there defensive expertise and/or equipment? This, get some training from them, we will need it for the invasion>What are your plans for financial development?Hire financial advisor, support his investments.I vote for the oldfag.>How are you planning to prepare for the invasion(next session begins in year 322.M41, so you have 3 years)? It will probably come from space, so I want to buy as many orbital defensive platforms as possible, along with some extra warships. As for ground defence - the imperial fists can teach us about that.>What do you want to do next session?I want to handle the trial and get the courts to release all the prisoners we are interested in taking from that prison. Also, busting out that Sun Tzu. Somehow. Not sure about that.
