((Good morning, /tg/! I'm starting this thread two hours earlier. Call it an experiment. This is a quest meant to sort of bridge the gap between seasons of Holy Grail War Seattle. You don't need to read HGWSeattle to understand everything, but it will provide some context. It's also set in the Nasuverse, the setting in which most Type-Moon works like Fate/Zero take place in.

Archive of previous threads:

[ Remember, you are a sentient mass of gray matter (you seem to prefer the nickname 'Bob') inside the skull of David Alexander, magus in late high school. His abilities are limited to basic magecraft, like the creation of familiars, the reading of prana/mana movements, some ritual magic, and basic spellcraft, then his magic, which is to amplify a reaction or process. ]

LAST TIME, ON CANIS RISING:

DAVID'S ATTEMPTS TO DISCOVER MORE INFORMATION ON THE STRANGE DRUG 'HOWLING' LEAD TO MORE DEATHS AND MORE WORRIES THAT HIS OWN FRIENDS AND FAMILY MAY COME UNDER FIRE.

THE CHURCH SENDS AN AGENT - AN EXECUTOR NAMED LISA, WHO IS STAYING WITH HIM WHILE HE WATCHES OVER A FRIEND'S HOME.

A STRANGE LETTER MENTIONS THINGS THAT ONLY DAVID AND HIS FAMILY SHOULD KNOW.

AND 'BOB', THE FAMILIAR, ATTEMPTS TO GET ITS MASTER LAID, AND SAVE HIS LIFE, IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER.

AND NOW, THE STORY CONTINUES...

I'm awakened by the ringing of the phone line in Donnie's room. Groaning, I pick it up, rubbing sleep from my eyes. It's 6 AM, and I groan into the phone in my attempt to greet.

"Morning, David. Turn on the news." my mother states dryly. I blink, and do so - to see my school.

"-Experts are still baffled at the level of destruction today. It seems that casualties still cannot be counted, and that the cost of repairing what has occurred might be a major concern..." the newscaster's voice fades as I stare at the massive hole in the side of the school - large enough for a large car to drive through with little issue. Part of the roof is also caved in that area. There's blood on the rubble, as well.

"Eyewitness reports are vague and disjointed, speaking of a large animal breaking down the wall and attacking students, while others mention hearing a loud explosion. We will update as the situation progresses, but it seems today that classes are closed. Students are advised to remain at home."

I turn off the television.

"It seems the situation is rapidly escalating." mother says. "I have some things to prepare - I'll be coming by at noon to speak with you and Bob and Lisa about it. I'll see you then." she says, hanging up.

What a morning.

I can hear rustling in the backyard, where the property merges with the lake.

It's 6:05. What should I do?
>>
>>19607876
>rustling in the backyard
well lets make like a horror protagonist and check it out
>>
>>19607876

If so, use it.
If not, try to find Lisa. If she isn't in the house, go to backyard.
>>
>>19607876
Wait this attack happened at night? Why the hell were students there at night? Or this early in the morning, for that matter.

>>19607920
...Nope. Can't see out of the water.

Pretty clear vision in it, though.

>>19607902
I make my way outside, to find Lisa practicing her form - which is strange to see, as she uses the large sword primarily as a defense and strikes with her fist and feet.

"Lisa."

She looks at me calmly, dressed in what she wore yesterday - though her top is tied at her midsection, a tanktop beneath it. I'm a little surprised, she's better endowed than the original outfit lead me-

"Yes, David?"

"There was an attack at the school this morning. It seems like it did a lot of damage, may have been related to Howling."

"Is that so."

"Yes. Some of the witnesses claimed to see a beast."

She pauses, and her eyes narrow. Something about that face deeply frightens me.
"Is your car operable?" she asks, that gaze feeling like it's burning through me. "We must move to the site."

"Well, there's news copters and students were advised to remain at home..." I say, but she keeps staring.

Master, this is gonna sound a little odd, but...do you have any inherited silver? I have a hunch, and if I'm right, this could be really bad.

THERE'S SOMETHING IN OUR BACKYARD CHECK IT CHECK IT CHECK IT. See if Lisa can sense anything first, familiars or whatever.

Also, was last night a full moon, by any chance?

>>
>>19608208
Looking over the damage, it's mostly to the trunk and the back area - it just missed anything of importance, though the trunk now smells deeply of burnt person.

Thinking over it, I could probably evade the news crews with Lisa's help. And we don't really have any other leads at the moment.

>>19608213
>>19608268
You can't be...

Oh god damnit.

Last night WAS a full moon. No, I don't have any inherited silver. But it'd be best not to assume anything about how these... things work. I mean, Dead Apostles are just fine with garlic. I think.

I rub my temples.

"Lisa, what do you know about werewolves?" I mutter. Her stance changes slightly.

"I'll tell you on the way." she says.

Apparently Werewolves are also called 'beastmen', or are a part of a large group. All werewolves are beastmen, but not all beastmen are werewolves.
Anyway, werewolves are segregated by the color of their fur, which is metallic. Something about vitamins and magic? I don't know. The most basic of them is the Copper. They can't control their transformations, and looking them in the eyes when they aren't transformed generally reveals what they are. Iron is just barely above them, only physically more durable. And Lead is between them, but they are at top athletic condition even unturned.

She mentions there are even stronger Werewolves, but before she can explain further, we reach the site, and she unbuckles and leaps from the car - as its moving - and dashes with strange speed towards the school.
>>
Park ya car, and follow, master. Cautiously, of course.
>>
Wait a minute...

Howling?

Werewolves?

There might be a connection here...

We shouldn't be making too many assumptions about the werewolf thing, though. We've been wrong before. Keep an open mind while looking for clues. Try to see if you can find anything about the creature that caused this, fur on the rubble, maybe some blood that isn't quite human, leftover magical residue, that sort of thing.
Also, what's Lisa doing? Pay attention to what she's looking at.

This is all assuming the police will even let us enter the premises, of course.
>>
>>19608470

I know, I was just looking for an wxcuse not to say what I think it is. Wouldn't want to spoil the surprise~

I get out of the car after I park it, running after her. What does the Church feed these people?! My gun rests in my holster - when did I pick it up? - as I run. She's fast. Very fast! I make it to the scene and... All the news people are gone. That's... unnerving.

"Copper." she says, kneeling at the rubble and holding up a shining hair. "...At least. There may have been more." she draws her blade in a scowl, grasping the handle as it leaps from the case. "I advise you to stay behind. Modern metals are not suited to harming werewolves - of any rank. Unless you have that loaded with pure, un-alloyed, unmixed lead?"

I frown.

"I have to help anyway." I say, and she rolls her eyes.

"Mercy is the only gift I have to give." she says, and the blade lights up. "They may still be within the grounds, somewhere. The moon is still in the sky and still full - so the daylight will only weaken the transformation. They will still be stronger than you. Come along, if you must."

She walks into the halls - dark, the power shut off - with purpose.

Something tells me that this is very dangerous.
>>
>>19608532
Keep close to Lisa.

Goddammit, Young Master. You REALLY should have stayed at the house and waited for Mistress.

But no. Off you go, traipsing into the unknown blindly, not a clue what you're up against.

It's a bloody Loup-Garou. Happy? You're probably fucked if you find it or it finds you.
>>
>>19608532
Follow her, watch her back, don't get in her way. You're kinda out of your league here, kiddo.

No idea how developed Copper Werewolves (or Werewolves in general) are as to sense of hearing/smell when compared to regular wolves and dogs, but you should assume they already know you're here.

If you survive this, prepare some special weapons to deal with the doggies. Pepper spray should work wonders, as should teargas and other things that outright burn your sinuses. They're non-lethal too, so our dear Executor shouldn't have a problem with them.

I was wondering, Master..

Would you be able to focus your particular kind of magic on the projectile you fire from your pistol? Especially on multiplying the kinetic energy that it develops while hitting a target?
I don't think that there are many things - magical or non-magical - that could withstand such a hit.

Also, split up. That way you will find the culprit easier. Or it will find you.
>>
>>19608532
Question: can you increase brightness of sunlight with your magic around you?
Because if you can, you have flash-grenades.

Canines tend to have more sensitive with noses than eyes. Finding a discarded sandwich and using your powers to make it rot faster would be a more useful makeshift grenade-weapon, IMO.

I may be wrong but isn't the transformation of kinetic energie a process in itself? And I didn't mean the bullet speed by itself, more the power of impact when it hits something.
>>
>>19608670
Well, laws of drama make this outcome likely and...
Oh, wait. I've just nearly agreed with you.
Master, DO NOT split the party.
>>
>>19608711

Ah. Yes, he could speed up the rate at which it transfers its kinetic energy to the target, thus resulting in more force...which is, unfortunately, relevant only when dealing with something normal bullets can kill.

Good thinking, though. Let's save that one for some time when it'll work.

Also, how do you feel about accelerating the rate at which blood clots and making someone's veins jam up?
>>
>>19608711
(Transfer of kinetic energy is indeed a reaction, and falls under David's ability - but he lacks the reaction speed to pull it off. )

>Stay together.

Yes. I'm going to do this.

We step through the area, looking around. The light from Mercy allows us to walk without much trouble, but everywhere I look... There's been damages. What sort of beast is capable of leaving such huge gouges in the walls? Every now and again, I see blood, but... No bodies. Shreds of clothes, sometimes.

Lisa looks around with her face one of disgust.
"Werewolves. Here." she mutters. Her free hand draws some small red devices, and I feel her circuits open and begin to draw Prana - and long blades appear from the handles, two in one hand.

We stop. To our left, the cafeteria, to the right, the hall towards the gymnasium. The trail of damages seems to go both ways.
>>
>>19608771
Again, keep close to the Executor. She knows what she's doing.

>>19608771
I would suggest to go to cafeteria. There should be more scenery - tables, chairs, etc. - and we probably don't want to fight werewolfs on open ground.
>>
I'm curious as to why the newspeople left. No way they'd abandon a story like this. Either they were mind controlled away or someone or something jammed the signal and then they were killed.

Do you have a cellphone, Master? See if you get reception.
>>
>>19608855

>Howling
>>

>>
>>19608873
"Let's try the cafeteria first. We can loop around to the Gym next if it's not there." I say, and she nods. Together we step into the cafeteria.

Oh. That's what happened to the news crews. A huge beast with shining fur stands in the center, gnawing on the remains, while a man stands aside.

His arms are glad in metal, with runes upon them, and his hair looks like a pale, very pale blonde. Almost platinum. A huge grin is on his face. But the worst part isn't the bodies or the smell...

It's the sound. Like a toothless man eating a watermelon. Ripping, snapping, noshing, chewing. Growls and grunts. The sound of blood splashing as it feasts. it's the size of an SUV, a huge hound that has no place in reality. The man looks up and laughs. His robes - long and layered - are in earthy colors, a prominent circle of gold lace on his chest.

He looks me in the eyes, and -

RUN.

Fear floods my body. I can feel teeth at my neck, my heels, my arms. I feel the pain of my stomach being torn open. None of these things happen, but fear locks me down, and I cannot move, even after his golden eyes look away. No, that's wrong. I can't move because if I did, I'd flee.

"Looks like the church finally sent its runt. And the boy, too - I was hoping I'd have a chance for this." he says quietly.
>>
>>19608956
Ohhh shit kid. Stay calm. Try to clot his blood in his brain if he attacks. It's your best bet. Or letting Lisa handle this. Your call.

>"Looks like the church finally sent its runt. And the boy, too - I was hoping I'd have a chance for this." he says quietly.

If you manage to shake it off, master, ask him why he's doing all that stuff. As much as a I hate monologuing villains it could buy us some time to assess the situation better. And it's not like there is someone left to save, fufu.
>>
>>19608956
Calm down.
Use your magic to slow down pulse and lower adrenalin level if you can't.
Be prepared to fight or run depending on situation.
Keep your hand close to the gun.
Ask for man's name. It's only polite for him to introduce himself since he seems to know us.

Also, to other Bobs: do you think increasing intensity of the smell of blood has merit? It may provoke the beast into attacking the man. Or it may just anger it.
>>
>>19608956

Hah. Leave. Now.
>>
He's probably controlling it or has a way to control it, so no.
>>
>>19608983
He's most likely a magus. We can't affect magi directly.
>>
Lisa's hackles rise, and the man laughs.

"It's you? I think white suits you better than black. ...But it seems we'll have to end this early, little Lisa." He laughs harder, slamming his right fist into the ground. Fire springs up, white and blue, spreading rapidly as he leaps onto the hound.

I can't do anything as she rushes after him. His left hand points, and glows - and a lance of electricity flies at her. She slashes through it, but is slowed by the size of her weapon. Just long enough for him to break through the large windows at the entrance, slamming through. The fire stops her as she balks at the heat. And the magic binding me releases.

The smell of burning flesh stings at my eyes.

"Lisa, we need to leave. This place will burn down soon."

She frowns angrily, turning to look at me.

"At least we know who is producing Howling, now." she says. "But you're right, we need to leave."

And with that, she picks me up and runs out of the building. Unhindered by my weight, she leaps from the school at the top of the hill to my car, at the bottom. Setting me aside, she stares at the burning building.

"Death is someone else's duty." she mutters, the sword growing dim.

It's about 7 now. Where should i go?

"My first assignment."

"What?"

"My first mission was to kill him." she admits, staring out the window. "I was in a team with three other Executors. A den of werewolves - we were to kill all of them. We attacked during the new moon, when we expected the least resistance. But we made a stupid mistake. And he got away." she shakes her head. "His name is Hund. James Alexander Hund. He's a specialist with Rune magic, and is an excellent crafter of mystic items. He's also an electrum werewolf - one of the greater hounds. Difficult to kill, difficult to find, when he doesn't want to be."

"... So he's the one making the Howling?"

"He has to be. It's the only explanation."

"We're heading to my place. We need to relay this information."

She bristles visibly and I sigh. "Look, you were going to see her either way. Get over yourself."

"My apologies. This series of events has me on edge." Mother states, and we all enter.

We begin to share information. From Mother:

She learned that the drug is given to the dealers in exchange for signing a Geas. This Geas actually prevented her from gaining much information from the guy's soul, so she had to let it go. She is especially frustrated about it - though she did learn that all pickups are dead drops, so there's that.

Meanwhile, Lisa has far more substantial information to impart. Over the course of three hours she educates us on how Werewolves 'work', as far as the church understands. She gives mother the name of the culprit, though it does not help much, and explains that his methods are to surround himself with 'lower' werewolves and operate in relative safety. She goes on to say that it would be heavily inadvisable to go in alone, or even with Mother, Attie, herself and me. It took five Executors to even stand a chance.

(In the diagram provided, 'breed' means a transformation via bite. Sexual breeding always produces a member of the same teir, but most werewolves are infertile.)

"Any questions, Bob?" mother asks. "Or ideas?"

"Can we get any pure silver bayonets?" I ask. Eliza chuckles.

"Ask Lisa."

Lisa looks away from my gaze, and she sighs.

"Certainly it would work." Eliza says. "But she's a failure. She can't kill."

...What? "Why don't you tell him, Lisa?"

"Eliza, is this..." Attie starts, but Eliza holds up her hand.

"Tell him, Executor of the church."

"We moved to kill Hund. But I sensed no werewolves. The den's residents had been replaced, with normal humans. But my allies... Didn't care. Gleefully, we thought we were slaying monsters in the name of the church. But among those hundred people..."

Her fist slams into the metal table. Denting it. "Not even one! Not even one Werewolf!" she shouts. Real anger in her eyes. "Because of that... Because of that failure. I can't..."

"She can't kill. I looked into her information." Eliza says quietly. "Why else would the Church send her in alone against a Servant? Against Hund?" She turns with cold eyes. Eyes of purpose and power. "I should send you home, Lisa. This battlefield is no place for you. This kill or be killed world is not somewhere you should be."

Lisa stands, angry.

She's not exactly the warmest person I've ever me, Young Master, but I think Mistress is being a little harsh. Not everyone is as cavalier as she is about taking lives.

You need to set Mistress straight - Lisa has been nothing but helpful, and Mistress has been nothing but antagonistic. Surely she's sufficiently mature to stop insulting people long enough to formulate a battle plan.

Honestly, Mistress. I remember you being above that.

"Mother, aren't you above this? You're just insulting her. This isn't going to get us anywhere." Lisa looks at me with thought, but Mom just stares me down. "Lisa has put herself on the line for me, several times now. She's saved my life... twice, now."

"That doesn't change the fact-"

"But it does." I cut in, now feeling like I've leapt down a very steep slope, and I have to keep running. "She's not a killer, sure. But that isn't a weakness. Maybe it is to you, who is so cavalier with the lives of others - but not for me and her. She's strong enough to fight, to hold the line. That is what matters."

"And if she needs to kill?"

"She won't. I'll make sure of that." I say. "You told me killing is a tool, to be used only when truly necessary. But Bob has shown me how little you care for lives except those closest to you." I return her glare. "I'll shoulder the burden of the lives that need to end. And she will stand between me and danger."

Lisa blinks at me.

"You're making a mistake, David. She's going to buckle when you need her most."

"Drop the bullshit, Mom. She's from the Church, but she's not hunting any of us." Attie frowns. "Pardon the french. But I'm not about to stand here and let you insult her."

Mother crosses her arms and fixes me a cold glare.
"You'd choose a member of the Church over my protection?" she asks cooly.

"It's not a matter of one or the other."

"Then go back to Donnie's. This discussion is finished." she turns to look outside.

We walk out to the car. I still feel a little upset. It's not like Mother to be so cold. Lisa seems to be in thought on the porch for the moment, so I open the letter.

David,

It seems things are escalating faster than I predicted. Or planned. It may be necessary for us to meet sooner, rather than later, but I am unavailable for the present moment, and am uncertain how much is safe to share with you, without direct observation. Understand that someone is keeping an eye on you, other than Bob or Lisa or your mother. You're a special thing - an entity that only appears rarely. We are not about to allow that to be squandered.

Fire Keeper

...Weird. And unsettling.

I fold it back up, and look up at Lisa as she sits down.

"You alright? Mom isn't usually that... Abrasive."

"She has a point."

"So? She was mostly wrong."

"..." Lisa stares off for a moment. "Let's get some groceries." she says quietly.

"...Yeah, let's. Veggie burgers and all that."

I start the car, unsure what to think. Or even if I did the right thing,

>FEARFUL LEGEND INVOKED

Get the hell out of our head!
>>
>>19610308
It's fine if she doesn't want to kill - hell, I can respect that to some degree. But would she stop us from killing a monster like Hund if she's got him pinned down? That's the important part here.

Hell, even if she's difficult about it there's plenty of ways she can be of use to us even as a non-lethal meat shield. Werewolves are basically a cross between humans and dogs. Highly advanced senses, especially smell. There's plenty of ways to completely overwhelm those sensitive sensory organs with shit like pepper spray and teargas, all of it non-lethal.

We sure as shit can't handle Hund by ourselves. He knows who we are. He more than likely knows where we live. He'll come after us before long, and we need all the help we can get. Lisa's done us no wrong so far and at least we can be sure she won't stab us in the back (which is more than can be said for any other servant of the church). She's got a personal stake in this predicament.
>>
>>19610866

Call it a premonition, but something tells me we'll end up in exactly the position Eliza fears - Young Master's life hangs in the balance, and Lisa still can't pull the trigger on someone. Or stab them. You know what I mean.

>>19610736

Don't sweat it too much, Young Master. What's said is said, and done is done. All we can do is keep moving forward.

But, for the moment - FOOD. Gotta keep your strength up, you know.
>>
>>19610736
Get burgers. Get enough food to see you through at least a week. Get a few cans of pepper spray from a store that sells such things, it'll be a decent enough non-lethal line of defense against the doggies. Hurt them enough to stop them from mauling you for a few seconds, at least. Maybe visit an antique store and buy some old silver cutlery if you've got money for it.

Not much to be done about fire keeper at the moment other than wait for his/her next attempt to contact you. He/she doesn't seem to have any malicious intent, but we don't have any info to go on regardless.

Also tell Lisa that it's okay, that she doesn't have to share this burden alone, that Hund will pay for what he did, that sort of thing. She really seems like she needs someone to talk to right now, and she's not used feeling this way.
>>
We make our way to the grocer. I stock up on food - keeping Lisa's preferences in mind. When I'm actually trying to avoid meat, it's kinda interesting to see all of the options. The excercise takes some time, and Lisa finally speaks up at the car.

"You didn't have to say those things." she says, as we load up the car. "It's... she was probably right."

I scoff.
"Even if she was. She could have phrased it better. And she didn't even offer any solutions. It's like she just wanted an excuse to talk down to the church... Which, I don't think you like them much either. Why are you even still with them?"

"...It's not like I can sign a two-week notice, David. Besides, if it weren't for them..."

She sighs.

"In any case, I'm not sure..."

"Look." I put a hand on her shoulder. "You're good at defending people, right? So do that. Do that and leave everything else to me."

"Please don't touch me." she says quietly, brushing off my hand and looking away. "Let's go h-... Let's go back to Donovan's." she mumbles, walking back to the car.

The rest of the drive is quiet, as is lunch.

It's now almost noon.

What should I do now?
>>
>>19611124

Tsundere senses tingling.

Ask her what the Church did for her that leaves her feeling indebted. Don't push too hard, mind. Anyway, weapons-making time.

OH WAIT. Ask Lisa if she'd be willing to train you in basic CQC, both armed and unarmed.

You may need to know more than "Counter-balance the knife, quick slash, retract."
>>
>>19611124
So, CAN we contact Solomon? Or do you think that he wouldn't be interested?

If we aren't involving him... Well, we need better weapons. Check on some antique shop to get silver sword. Or a fork at the very least.

What else... Ask Lisa if the Church would be willing to send more help now since we know identity of our enemy. Unlikely, but still...

Think about other possible sources of help. Shirou perhaps? He isn't the sharpest tool, but he is good in killing and he actually can make a gold sword.
>>
>>19611124
Ouch. Touchy dame.

Call whathisface. Caster's old master. Thomas. Inform him of Hunds and his werewolves' involvement, see if he has more info on him as well as ideas on what Hunds motives might be with the Howling drug.

Ask Lisa how the lower tiered werewolves work. Could they be innocents who can't control themselves while they're transformed, or are they willing monsters even when they're in human form?

How hard is it to kill a werewolf? Can conventional weapons (bullets, Lisa's blades) still kill them if enough damage is done, or does it all regenerate? How fast does the damage regenerate? If Lisa can't kill a doggie with her Executor-blades no matter what she does, then she can just let herself go and slice them up as much as she wants to, right?

Maybe do a bit of target practice, you need to get better with your gun. A bullet to the skull might not kill a werewolf, but it'll sure as hell slow it down and give it a headache.
>>
>>19611245
>Ask Lisa how the lower tiered werewolves work. Could they be innocents who can't control themselves while they're transformed, or are they willing monsters even when they're in human form?

Does it matter? They are still a treat to us.
Otherwise, seconded.
>>
>>19611281
They could be innocent people converted by the Howling drug. We should avoid killing innocents, if at all possible. Especially since that maybe-love-interest-girl of our master might be one of them possibly.
>>
>>19611302
Err... since when?
I mean, yeah, we shouldn't go out of our way to hunt them down, but if they are attacking, I don't see anything wrong with killing them.
>>
>It's fine if she doesn't want to kill

Actually from a logical standpoint... its not. An Executor of the church that has something against killing is like a guarddog that does neither bark nor bite. I still find it hilrious. Look, the church is pretty much a No-nonsense kind of group. They would sacrifice a good portion of humans lives if it measn that humanity surives as a whole and stays the dominant group among supernatural beings in this world.

What we've got to help us is pretty much a faulty product. I wonder why the church would keep her around in the first place if they know that she is that weak.

>Werewolves are basically a cross between humans and dogs
>How hard is it to kill a werewolf? Can conventional weapons (bullets, Lisa's blades) still kill them if enough damage is done, or does it all regenerate? How fast does the damage regenerate? If Lisa can't kill a doggie with her Executor-blades no matter what she does, then she can just let herself go and slice them up as much as she wants to, right?

Well.. no. Werewolves are magical mythical beasts. They may share some common traits with humans and dogs, but that doesn't mean much. Still that doesn`t mean that they have the same weaknesses or any weaknesses that are mentioned in myths and stuff.

>Call it a premonition, but something tells me we'll end up in exactly the position Eliza fears - Young Master's life hangs in the balance, and Lisa still can't pull the trigger on someone. Or stab them. You know what I mean.

I still think we should keep her around, even without wanting to kill someone she has some serios manstoping power. And remember what I've said some time back: Executors are useful but we shouldn't rely on them. Nothing changed about that.

We'll have to be creative about our arsenal, though.. I'm still in favour of explosives. How about a M79?
>>
>>19611245
Thomas says he has little info - but that he will express mail an info package regarding runes right away. He also mentions that while Solomon and he are on better terms, he recommends against getting him involved. When asked why, he says it's not wise to trouble a king with petty concerns on the world scale.

>Ask Lisa how the lower tiered werewolves work. Could they be innocents who can't control themselves while they're transformed, or are they willing monsters even when they're in human form?

"They are slaves to their beasts. It is why I took up Mercy. I... I thought I might be able to save them with it, theorizing that the transformation is a sort of interior, shoddy Marble. But... I've never managed to test it. In human form, they have limited knowledge of their actions as a beast. And the transformation is nightly, but strength varies by moon phase."

>How hard is it to kill a werewolf?
Depends on tier. Most of them have logical wounding and death limits, however...

>Can conventional weapons (bullets, Lisa's blades) still kill them if enough damage is done, or does it all regenerate?
Regeneration is stopped only by Pure Metals. Things that skirt around causing wounds, like poison, might work.

>How fast does the damage regenerate?
At the fastest, instantly. At the slowest, about half as fast as sped up healing from my spells.

As for the last one, severed limbs regrow slowly - but enough damage will end a Were.

I ask about training, and she frowns.
>>
"I can teach you. But it will be rough. Bruises will be common. Are you sure of it?" she says.

"Anything will help."

She sighs. "Then tonight. We shall practice tonight. You have..." she falters. "Uh, magic things, right? To do?"

For some reason, her face when she runs out of vocabulary makes me smile. "I mean, shouldn't you practice?"

>"Please don't touch me."

Oh, God, that's awful... Nevermind.
Practicing your magecraft sounds good. We suspect you have RM, after all. If it's true, you potentionally can utterly rape werewolves. No idea how to check it, however.
>>
>>19611334
If they're simply victims in all this, then I'd prefer to take them out by non-lethal means. If there's no other way of stopping them, sure, but if these are just teenagers who wanted to experiment with drugs then killing them without trying anything else to cure them (Solomon's magic, for example) just seems short sighted.

>>19611343
>An Executor of the church that has something against killing is like a guarddog that does neither bark nor bite
From the church's point of view, certainly. We, however, are not the church. She's still a guarddog that will do very nearly everything to keep us from harm. She's skilled as an executor, and probably the most useful non-magical combatant ally we have apart from Attie. Also, since she won't kill we KNOW will never try to murder us in our sleep.

>Still that doesn`t mean that they have the same weaknesses or any weaknesses that are mentioned in myths and stuff.
Eh, the pepperspray stuff was just a fancy I came up with. Silver would still work, and we could probably use Donovans atelier to smelt it.

>Executors are useful but we shouldn't rely on them
Agreed. We shouldn't rely on anyone, if we can help it. But master is fairly weak and not very skilled by himself, so we need allies for this fight.

Explosives require too much preparation for my tastes. We know next to nothing about our enemies' whereabouts and where they plan to strike next. It's good for a skirmish where we can choose the battlefield, but not so much for everyday kind of stuff.
>>
>>19611343
>It is why I took up Mercy. I... I thought I might be able to save them with it

Please just kill me.. It`s funny whenever she goes on about that it kills any romantic interest one could feel for her. It`s just so... selfless.

>"I mean, shouldn't you practice?"

You should probably explain to her that unlike a normal magus your magic sucks major balls, master.

That reminds me, it's probably about time We and her should be formally introduced to each other. Since we know that in trems of being an executor she`s a complete wuss.
>>
>>19611366
>"They are slaves to their beasts. It is why I took up Mercy. I... I thought I might be able to save them with it, theorizing that the transformation is a sort of interior, shoddy Marble. But... Trying to save people, no matter the cost. I can respect that, even though it's odd to see an executor who cares about such things. We SHOULD try to minimize casualties of innocents. They might be trying to tear out our throats at the time, but if they can't help it flat out murdering them without trying anything else first seems like the easy way out.

Practice magic, for now. Useful stuff that might incapacitate a werewolf long enough for you to get away. Maybe carry a couple of gas lighters and practice augmenting them into a makeshift flamethrower? Being set on fire might not kill a werewolf, but it'll certainly slow it down.

Also, could you use your augmenting magic on the wards in Donovans house? Like, make them heat up instantly rather than over several hours? Just in case we need it, I mean.
>>
>>19611462
>then killing them without trying anything else to cure them (Solomon's magic, for example) just seems short sighted.

Depends on situation. If killing them is easer then trying to save, then we should kill them.

>Also, since she won't kill we KNOW will never try to murder us in our sleep.

She still can cut magic circuits. And I'm not sure if we, Bob the Skull, qualify for being "alive" in her book.

Your other points are good.
>>
>>19611515
>but if they can't help it flat out murdering them without trying anything else first seems like the easy way out.

>"Why else would the Church send her in alone against a Servant? Against Hund?"

We need to stop looking at Lisa's goals and the Church's as being one and the same, though.

I mean, we have a militant pacifist Executor here (which is like a fucking unicorn), and she's been sent out against something which SHE admitted took like five of her fellows to take down one of.

Clearly she and her superiors are at some kind of impasse.
>>
>>19611831
Not just that, but the big bad guy appears to be someone who is at least partly responsible for fucking up her brain to get her where she is today. It could very well be that the church sent her on this mission as an 'either you fix your mistake and finish Hund or he finishes off you and we'll be rid of your pacifist bullshit' kinda thing. This whole meeting with Hund must've brought back a lot of bad memories. I kinda feel sorry for her.
>>
Practice is slow, but meaningful. More focused than ever. Working diligintly, I learn od several weapons I can make. Firecrackers, which are in no short supply thanks to Donnie's father's hobby of fireworks and gunpowder, tied to a tin of air freshener spray, makes for a decently strong anti-scent weapon.

And as a bonus, makes any room it's used in /lemony fresh./

Aside from that, Molotovs, a shotgun, and a few other things I borrow.

Coming upstairs, I serve dinner, then head outside for my first session of training with Lisa - who is dressed as she was this morning. With some effort - She must be a high C - I keep my focus.

It's barely training. More of a brawl where staying up alone is a great struggle. I feel sore all over - the pain is a testament to my greater understanding of my own body. And with it - a greater understanding of what amplifications would be most efficient.

I think giving an Executor who can't kill this assignment is tantamount to the Church pronouncing a death sentence on Lisa. I hypothesize that her first assignment ending the way it did put her out of favor with the Church.

Now they're giving her the hard assignments hoping Lisa will get killed off and removing a blemish on the Church's reputation.
>>
>>19611920
She's obviously got experience fighting werewolves, so ask if she has some techniques if you're up against a raging animal like that. Other than 'be somewhere else', I mean. Weaknesses, tactics to use, tactics NOT to use, that sort of basic stuff.
>>
>>19612146
Pretty much what I was getting at.

... Which probably means we can't count on the Church for any extra support.

Not that it was the best of ideas in the first place, but it explains why someone like her is even here with us.
>>
>>19612146
>I hypothesize that her first assignment ending the way it did put her out of favor with the Church
Not entirely. I think it's the way she REACTED to it put her out of favor with the church. She cared too much and it's hurting her usefulness to them. Given their track record, I highly doubt they'd have minded if she'd been a cold uncaring bitch about it.

Exactly. The Church isn't going to be of any further help; Lisa is on her own, with the exception of Master David.

On a lighter note: are my fellow Bobs certain that trying to pair up Young Master with Lisa is such a good idea? Granted, Lisa is very well put together but Mistress Liz seems to hate her guts. Granted, Lizzie is being way too hard on Lisa but Mistress is who she is and is too set in her ways to change much.

If Young Master and Lisa ended up a couple, Eliza will NOT be happy and that could make the Sunday family dinners very....awkward.

"Evasion and striking properly. Aim for the spine. Even if they can heal, an object lodged there will prevent movement and immobilize. And finally, prepare to flee."

"You mean run away?"

"Exactly."

I don't know what's worse, how creepy this is, or how I'm getting used to it. "In any case, I'll be taking the first shower." she says, wandering off.

... I still haven't told her about the latching problem.
>>
>>19612285
>I don't know what's worse, how creepy this is, or how I'm getting used to it.

Well your mothers turned out quite well together. trust us.

>... I still haven't told her about the latching problem.

I don't think we really need to worry about that
>>
>>19612241
You know what we do the moment Mistress starts to complain about it, we tell David to say "Are you sure we have enough hot water for both of us?" and she will sit down and roll with it.

>>19612285
As tempting as it is to capitalize on that it'd be impolite. Continue your practice, after she's done take a long shower or bath, hot water to make sure your sore muscles recover properly.
>>
>>19612241
Who says anything about pairing them?
A night or two together 'till we find some acceptable replacement is all I'm asking. That and ability to watch.
>>
>>19612269

I'm not arguing with you on that point, fellow Bob. A woman with a figure that's basically Atalanta with Aunt Sakura's tits is awesome, but couldn't we find another just like her that Young Master's mom would approve of?

Of course, if Lisa is what Young Master wants, I'm okay with this but does Lisa really want Mistress Liz for a mother-in-law??

>>19612312

That would be acceptable to me.
>>
>>19612285
Isn't it about time to check on night swimmer?
>>
>>19612331

Good idea but wait for Lisa to finish with her shower first. I would not advise Young Master to investigate that alone.

bed-piece entsnown. Even captcha has become part of Bob the Skull now.
>>
Check the lake-familiar to see if that skinny dipping lady is there.
>>
>>19612381
So you advise Young Master to investigate a night swimmer (via fish-familiar, btw) while in a shower?

Yeah, seems appropriate.
>>
>>19612411

Yeah, check with the fish first. Then, if the night swimmer appears to be trouble, get Lisa and go check it out together.
>>
>>19612411
Checking will only take, like, a few seconds. If the skinny dipper is there, we'd be set for the night. If she isn't, we can always spy on Lisa in the shower.

Yes.
>>
>>19612331
Would anyone want our old Mistress as a mother-in-law?
>>19612285
Good solid advice kid. I also advise aquiring, in no particular order: A rocket propelled grenade launcher, claymore mines, C4 or Semtex, some type of flamethrower, Dragons Breath shotshells, a large knife of some type, and a high caliber rifle, preferably .30-06 or larger. The more damage we do to them, the longer it should take to regenerate, yes? Burn wounds are a bitch to heal.
>>
>>19612426

>Would anyone want our old Mistress as a mother-in-law?

Unlikely, unless Young Master finds a little shrinking violet who keeps her head down and her mouth shut like Aunt Sakura.
>>
>>19612426
Fuck .30-06/.308, I say go for a full-on .50 BMG rifle at this point.
>>
>>19612448
which is not likely.

YONNG MASTER X LISA HAS SAILED! GOD HIMSELF CANNOT SINK THIS SHIP
>>
>>19612448

And would we want someone like this to be with Young Master?

Body is one thing, but I doubt that a little shrinking violet who keeps her head down and her mouth shut would be any good in bed.
>>
>>19612448
Stonking Great Tits eh? The Kid did say he liked her. Mind you, Auntie could have destroyed the world. Just saying Kid. Might want to find someone less fucked up. And Lisa is definitely fucked up. Don't go for it Kid. It won't end well.
>>
>>19612493
Yeah, master needs someone young and wild and free who is a real animal in bed. Maybe a kindly werewolf lady, so long as he doesn't mind a few lovebites.

For all we know Lisa would end up sacrificing herself to save us.

In the last thread Ego said that Lisa probably wouldn't have given a crap since she doesn't really consider herself to be 'female' as such, just a tool of the church.
That might've changed a bit after todays events, but I doubt it'll be that much riskier. Not if David made it look like an accident, I mean.

>>
I sit down in the living room and sigh, putting on the ring. I wonder what Donnie was so interested - oh.

Within a few moments of me looking, a woman dives into the water. Well, young woman, maybe my age. She is... slim. Maybe a B? and has a figure similar to Mom - but dissimilar enough to be cute, at least. However, she's wearing a bikini. I almost look away until I realize... she's checking for people watching her as she dives through the water. Finding no one, she pulls at the knots on the suit and continues to swim out of them, a smile on her face - even as her perky pink nipples are revealed, along with the fact that she's a natural platinum blonde.

Several minutes pass as I return to my senses, and realize the water stopped.

"Ah, good." I smile and walk up to the bathroom door, and open it -

The first thing that strikes me is how pale she is. She never goes out without being fully covered, except her face. Black hair tumbles a little way down her back, slick and straight, and her large breasts hang openly in view as she dries her hair, blinking at me. Her hips are a little wide, and she doesn't shave much, apparently, wet white-

White?

Hurriedly I shut the door, the disjunction between the colors snapping me out of everything. I stammer an apology.

I'm serious, I didn't mean to do that! Honest!

No reply from inside.

"Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Are you alright? I think you hit your head from closing the door and getting out in the wrong order..."
>>
>>19612801
>She doesn't shave

Yeah, what's up with that?

"No, really. I'm sorry. I didn't know you were in there!"

"It's fine."

"Yeah, uh. I'm okay. The soreness will go away."

There's a long pause as she dresses and comes back out. "The door doesn't latch properly." I tell her, pushing it with one finger after she closes the door.

"Yes. I know."

"... But there's a doorstop inside."

"... Do you not want to see me?"

"No, that's not it - don't you care?"

She shrugs. "What is there to see?"

My mouth has a little trouble moving for a few minutes, and to save myself embarrassment, I dash into the bathroom and get a hot bath going. Thank god for magic water heater.

Still, something about this rings all wrong, and it's hard to think. My mind is cloudy. Rubbing my temples, I recall that albinism is a common defect in homunculi, or at least a byproduct of several 'shortcuts' taken to make them stronger. However, she has blue eyes, not red ones.

Chick has issues. Don't go after that Kid. It will only lead to your pain. Or fucking amazing sex. But likely pain. I'm thinking that the hair difference could be due to either A) White being her natural hair color, and is dyed black or another color in order to fit in with the crowd better when on assignment or B) The result of a combination of stress, the shock of having slaughtered all those people, and the augmentations that Executors probably get. Or a side effect of you healing her 10 years back.

It would be rather ironic if that's exactly what it takes to solve her problem with killing people, isn't it?
>>
>>19613269
I think the trauma of what happened back then sort of broke her. Like, she feels that she has to be an unfeeling, inhuman tool of the church in order to atone for her mistake. That's why she's so flippant and depressed about it while still showing emotion and anger when Eliza was talking to her. It's not that she doesn't have feelings, she just doesn't think of herself as worthy to have them anymore.

Wh-whut?

'Oh hey Lisa I was checking out this naked chick and I was wondering if you had an opinion'? I mean... Why would she need to know? Plenty of homeschooled kids in this neighborhood.

Probably a lot more now.

The impact of the school's destruction hits me now. There was a lot of people involved in that. A lot... I don't even know if my friends made it out okay. If Rachel was there.

Fuck... what about the teachers? Some of them were pricks, but most of them were really nice people.

Why. Why. Why did he do it? It doesn't make any sense, where's the motivation in all this!? just rampantly killing people serves nothing! I don't understand!

My hand hurts, and I pull it away from the wall, rubbing my knuckles. I rub my forehead again as I get out, feeling much better after that soak. Getting dressed, I come back outside to see Lisa watching the news.

"We memorialize our crew who bravely nvestigated the interior of the damaged high school today, who died in a tragic collapse of the ceiling. 36 others died there. A moment of silence while we memorialize their loss, as well..."

... She's praying. Kneeling, with tears running down her cheeks as her lips slowly move.

I think he was aiming to harm you. You fucked up with the dealer, he could've seen your face via familiar or some rune.
Then he came to your school and... left a message.

Alternativly, he wanted something. Perhaps one of the Howling users awoken, went to rampage, and our friend went to catch him and turn into his servant.

Don't interrapt the prayer.
Come closer and kneel on her side.
Maybe place a hand on her shoulder.
>>
>>19613533
Join her. Even if you're not particularly religious, it's good to take a moment and think about the people this bastard Hund has killed. Think about what you started this for, what you are fighting for. It also shows Lisa that you care. Knowing her, she blames herself for all of this. If she and her team had managed to kill Hund back then, none of this would've happened.

Give her a moment in silence until she's done with her prayer, then reassure her that you will find that evil fucker and bring him to justice.
>>
>>19613533

That skinny-dipper could be a spy or something, Young Master....or she could just be a red herring. Either way it warrants investigation.

Let Lisa finish praying and then ask if she's okay. Put me in the Not Sure If Want category as far as giving Lisa "mana-transfers" is concerned, BUT it looks like she needs a friend or maybe a shoulder to cry on.

As it is, Hund just made this personal. Very personal Kid. He did this to send a fucking message, that you are not safe, no matter where you are. Time to roll out the heavy ordnance. Again. Dragons Breath rounds. Considering Donnie's families dragon fetish, they have to have a couple of those lying around somewhere. I join her in prayer. I don't know many, just the one Lord's Prayer. it calms me down, anyway, and as we finish, I hand her a tissue. She blows her nose quietly.

"Our next move?"

"Find the den. Defeat the alpha female. Save the meals."

"...Meals?"

"An alpha male needs a reason to be in charge, like providing a lot of food. Before you came out, they were listing missing people."

"...How many?"

"Thirty six students died. Forty faculty members went missing." she says simply, rising.

"We'll find them." I say, standing up.

"I'm surprised that a heretic knows any prayers."

"Just one." I admit. "Eliza had me go to church when I was a teenager. Something about informed decisions. I learned it..."

She focuses on me thoughtfully. "And?"

"I'll be honest. I'm not a believer. But... Some of the morals and the ideals stuck with me." I shrug.

"At least you're honest."

I find myself smiling.
"To a fault. Let's get some sleep. We have scouting to do in the morning, as well as training. Right?"

"Right."

We go to our beds, and sleep overtakes me.

I dream again.

The cogs and fire again. But no tubes inside me or coming out. I feel full. Full to bursting, like I'll explode. Everything around me is moving faster, flaming higher. I can feel something terrifying, a loss of control, a mad, manic freedom from rules.

Eh, I’d rather we swing towards the Shirou end of the scale than the Kiritsugu one. Kiritsugu was far more deluded and miserable than his son.

Also, I’d welcome Dragon’s Breath, but if you’re wrong and Donnie’s family doesn’t keep any around (and why would they anyway? It seems like they don’t need any help with creating fire) then they are going to be nigh impossible to get a hold of.
>>
>>19613766

>>19613724
So saying we're going to find and defeat the BBEG is white knighting now? I'm merely suggesting we tell her what she wants to hear. Telling her how we're totally going to blow Hunds brains out with a gold-plated shotgun would only remind her of what she herself can't do.

We have one ally by our side, and she's a mess. Give her a moment to pray for the dead (who are dead because SHE screwed up all those years ago), show her you respect the dead as well and then give her a pep talk to get her out of this rut she's in right now.

Also, where exactly are you expecting a teenager to find military-grade firearms? Seriously, it's not like he's got a damn arms dealer on speed dial. We have limited resources here, and I doubt mommy dearest will be inclined to give us any shiny new guns.

We aren't killing the fucker for her. We're killing the fucker for our own reasons, very personal reasons.
And trust me, Dragons Breath rounds are available, for the right amount of money, and the right connections. Might take a while to track some down though, and we'll have to go behind Liz's back.

I run once a week. In this case, Sundays. Probably at 11 AM pacific. Trying to find a sweet spot time for new people and for the oldies to keep up.

Assuming we do get David laid, will there be seafood metaphors this time?

I would like to applaud you on making the various facets of Bob feel sympathy for a moralistic, churchgoing pacifist, Ego.
>>
>>19613881
Oh, I don't expect it to kill them. I expect it to fucking HURT them. Imagine getting a cigarette ground out in your eye. Now imagine that feeling all over your face, and you also have a very flammable substance (Fur) all over your body. It's going to fucking HURT them. Burn wounds are extremely painful, and don't heal that easily. It will slow them down at the very least.
>>
>>19613939
It will also create flaming werewolves.

So is our Executor's pubic hair a plot point? While I appreciate the fanservice, my inner prude has to wonder: "Why?"
>>

That remains to be seen.

Unfortunately, I have trouble lowering myself, so I might not emulate a Nasu sex scene

Yes. It is a plot point.

Werewolves are increadably flaming already. Go read Twilight.
All joking aside, they'll be in too much pain to care. After all they aren't going to be thinking much outside "HOLY FUCK I AM ON FUCKING FIRE OH GOD THE FUCKING PAIN MY GOD WHY!" or able to do much besides howl? in pain and anger, roll around trying to put the flames out, and otherwise PANIC.
>>
Is the swimmer girl relevant to the plot or just fanservise?

Just as long as you remember that one of the things a panicking predator animal does is attack the fuck out of anything that appears to be a threat.
>>
>>19613999
Who knows~

Also, a reccomendation to FUCKING EVERYONE HERE

Read Tsukihime.

It's way, way more 'solid' than F/SN. Written much better, in my opinion. Even doing one route, I was really stunned at the ability that it had to create a mood.
>>
>>19613988
This can also be achieved by a can of deodorant, a lighter and David's enhancement magic.
Same principle, less hassle. It doesn't always have to be guns when we have MAGIC at our disposal.
>>
>>19613961
I suppose its worth mentioning that we could make a flaming werewolf burn much much quicker, leaving them with little more than a skeleton to regenerate from. Or, alternatively, magnify the process of nerves feeding information to the brain, upping the pain to levels that could cause actual lasting mental damage.
>>
So no one ever uses an incantation for anything. What gives?

And is our best friend relevant beyond his lair/mansion?
>>
>>19614029
That's no fun, and involves getting within about 10 feet of a snarling wolfman wanting to rip and tear your guts.
>>
>>19614039
Vocal incantations in Nasu generally mean "THIS SPELL IS SO SERIOUS I HAVE TO TELL REALITY TO SHUT THE FUCK UP AND DO AS I SAY". The only one I've used so far is the invocation/exvocation for Mercy: Mercy is the only gift I have to give / Death is someone else's duty.

There is one other. It hasn't happened yet. I will fucking blow your mind with it.

Donnie will become relevant when he gets back.

I'm expecting this quest to run a little longer than the last.
>>
>>19614050
THAT WOLF IN THE SCHOOL WAS HUGE! THAT MEANS IT HAS HUGE GUTS!

There still has to be an easier/cheaper way than fire-bullets, though. Maybe Donovan's house has a magic maguffin that throws fireballs.

Also ten bucks on the platinum-blonde skinny dipper being the alpha female werewolf.
>>
I still recommend .50 BMG rifles.
>>
>>19614087
Same. But David is still learning how to shoot. A 12 gauge is better right now for him than a .50 BMG. Unless said .50 BMG was a mounted M2 with armor piercing incendiary rounds.
>>19614084
I'll get in on that action.
>>
>>19614084
>Also ten bucks on the platinum-blonde skinny dipper being the alpha female werewolf.

If this is the case then David's greatest weapon against Hund could be NTR.

Fer chrissakes, guys. Fire won't kill them. And money's not an issues - remember who Mistress is?
>>
>>19614143
Which isn't likely.
We should double our efforts to make him more GAR.
>>
>>19614174
I wonder if swag is a process that can be magnified by David's magecraft...
>>
>>19614165
Again. Not supposed to kill them. Hurt like a bitch? Yes.
>>
>>19614165
Fire won't kill them, which is what we want at first. It keeps Lisa from getting too pissed at us, and we may be able to de-werewolf the Howling users (if they have anything to do with it) without killing them. Also while it may not kill them it will still really really hurt and take them out of the fight.

Mommy might be rich, but she's a bit angry at us right now. I doubt she'll be buying us lots of shiny new guns.

Another quick question EGO. Are any mage killers active in the Seattle area?
>>
I'm amazed that nobody suspects 'Fire Keeper' to be our dear friend Donnie or his dad.

You know.

The guys whose family specializes in FUCKING FIRE.
>>
>>19614321
If by "mage killer" you mean, an individual designed to kill mages, or who uses methods and tactics that mages do not expect?

Probably.
>>
>>19614320
I'm assuming that most of the werewolves are going to be low tier for the most part. And it will still hurt like a bitch, and still slow down the mid tier ones for a while.
>>
>>19614340
Exactly. What are the chances that we could get one to help us for the right price on short notice?
>>
>>19614320
Because the lower tiered ones are likely innocent people who didn't choose to become werewolves but just used a hip new drug.
Because Lisa would flip her shit.
Because our augmentation magic works on flames.
Because I can't think of any other way to slow the doggies down without silver weaponry, which we don't have.

Silver or other unalloyed metals. Which we could acquire/make, given that Mistress is LOADED AS FUCK
>>
>>19614340

HEY BOSSMAN!

Is it possible to change the innocent werewolves back to vanillas?
>>
>>19614451
It depends mainly on if Lisa is correct.

If she's not, then you'll just erase their memories.

If she's right, then you'll collapse the interior Marble and return them to normal.
>>
>>19614420
Again, we want to keep the lower tiers ALIVE for the most part. And gold is a shitty metal to fire out of a gun. Too soft. Same thing with silver. Pure lead might work, but that will take some time to obtain.
>>
>>19614420
Mistress is also pretty damn pissed at us right now for defending Lisa. I doubt she'll give us easy money just because we come to her with our hand outstretched.

Also, fine. Imagine we had a silver sword. Now what? David doesn't know how to wield it and will get mauled to death in seconds, silver sword or no. Lisa won't kill anyone. Even if we had silver bullets, I doubt it's kill them instantly unless we hit them in the brain and David isn't that good with his gun yet.
>>
>>19614492
Stake gun.

Make stakes out of pure, precious metals.

Pin the fuckers to the walls by their shoulders.

>>
>>19614548
Might work, but we don't have one of those and commissioning it would take time. We could use a speargun, I suppose, but we'd still need custom made spears.
>>
>>19614492

Shotgun with silver-plated flechette rounds.
>>
>>19614560
Even the King of Magi is not immune to the economic crisis!
>>
>>19614587
You're thinking well but the idea we're aiming for is something that can decommission a regenerating being without killing it.

Hence the spearing/staking idea.
>>
>>19614560
That's why he will defeat all Servants right on the night when the war starts, of course.
He's the God-Emperor, after all.

On a more serious note: it's possible to summon a Servant before the official start of war. Several Masters did that. What will happen if these Servants were to be killed? Would they count as regular victories or will Grail find some other Master?

For some reason even Kotomime didn't kill any Servants before the start of war.
>>
>>19614624

Ah. Well, then, why the fuck hasn't anyone mentioned tranq rounds?

David could jack up their effects on the werepuppies, and put them snoozin' for days.
>>
And bear in mind, that's one of the funnest aspects of fighting entities that heal extremely well:

You can fuck it up a good deal without killing it, so if for some reason you need it alive, you can still get pretty fucking rough.
>>
>>19614644
Kotomine didn't do it because he was under direct orders from Tokiomi
>>
>>19614651
Hopefully that works. Good experiment to fuck around with at least.
