>Location: Kalak Tower, Warped Lands.

Raziel, a kalak currently in the form of a lithe, dark-haired woman, is leaning over the large stone dais that had been dubbed 'Azariel's Throne', a powerful artifact that she's. . currently carving into a necromantic totem of some kind.
Ell, a scrawny elven man, is holding open a silver, chronomantic tome, reading it, as the bracer on his wrist, an artifact known as both 'Bubbles' and The Mind, borrows his senses and reads along with him.
Kristoph, magic-resistant, and knight of Arcturus, is currently rubbing his once-broken arm. "There's not even a scar." He mumbled to himself.
The one who overpowered his resistance and healed him, Duchess Marigold and your cousin, is unconscious after an incident with the Ankh, a vaguely malicious artifact that implanted itself in her body.
>>
Two twins stand there in front of you, pressed up against the wall. Both kalak, and perfectly identical, with grey feathers running along their bodies, they are Ragnarok and Gehenna, and the agents of the late Eidolon. Without the tome in Gehenna's arms, you can't tell which are which.
At their necks are the glaives of your lizardman compatriots, Nahzit and Velrid. Nahzit looks. . furious, baring his teeth at the two, and his tail swishes and twitches- It reminds you of a cat on the prowl. Meanwhile, Velrid just looks bored.
Ezekiel, a dark, lanky kalak with both blue and black plumage, looked up. "I'm going to go to the saferoom." He said. "I need to- I need to tell Dariel and Kaliel what happened." He said, and set out of the throne room, stepping over the corpses of dead mutants.
Grayson, dire bear and gentleman, tilts his hatted head and harrumphs, before sitting down.

Azariel, the shade previously mentioned, nodded to him, and then turned to you, his luminous, glowing green eyes the only bit of color in his tall, thin form.
"No doubt you have questions." He said.

OP screwed up.
>>
>>19608843
During yesterday's post-quest shitstorm, in exchange for Exabyte's failure to properly describe the fight, and what went on with Marigold, Kristoph, and Azariel.
>>
>>19608843
>You got a fate point because I'm a horrible writer, and as such, I didn't describe what was going on nearly well enough.

"What, exactly, is 'The Game'?" You ask.
"It's what happens when four friends, supremely powerful, decide that they can easily change the world toward their own ideals." Azariel says. "And then they disagree, and go to war against one another."
You look down toward Marigold, and back up to Azariel.
"What can you tell us about the Ankh's cost upon the one it bonds to? The Heart said it wasn't as... intense on the living, but that's all it would say."
"Blood." Azariel responded. "When used on the dead, the. . result has to consume the life force of others, and the hunger never abates. On the living, and on a girl with that sort of talent, there's no way to be certain."
"And. . who is Tyr?"
"Someone who thinks magic users are the cause of all problems in the world." He said. "He is one as well however, and he wants this generation to be the last with magic."
>>
>>19608889
>they can easily change the world toward their own ideals

"What plans did the other 3 players have?"
>>
"What plans did the other three players have?"
"Eidolon wanted the opposite of Tyr. He thought that magic was the solution to all powers. What he achieved in The Game, before old age took him, was what you saw of the elves. The Weave, the prisms, the airships. . He was winning, and then he died. We knew he would come back. . but hundreds of years later, and nothing- So we assumed he was gone completely."
He shrugged.
"As for the wanderer. . .I don't seem to recall. It was long ago, after all, and I am old. He was the one who declared this a 'game', though."
>>
>'solution to all powers' should read 'solution to all problems'.

>Goddamnit, Exabyte.

now that the fighting is over, and these events have turned what do you say of our plans for the wastes?

"And yours?"
"Mine was short-sighted." He said. "I wanted to do what I did back home, beneath the violet skies. Unseal my evocation, and lord over everyone and everything, watching them cower beneath my power. But now that I have my kin, my plan has. . changed, somewhat." He said. "I'm dead. So my plan is to end the game, and leave the world to those that don't play it."

>>
"Is there a way to release the spell you cast on the other Kalak when they left the tower?"
"That spell. . ended with my death." He said. "Raziel, go ahead."
"Right." Raziel said, standing. She was. . somewhat hesitant. "My people are from another world- The man who raised me was a fugitive, and my mother was sacrificed in order to open a portal to this world."

Then there was a bright flash of light.
"Interesting." Ell said. The tome was gone. . and Bubbles had been plated with silver, his gems glimmering.

Man this guy sounds familiar.
>>
"Did you just fuse the two?"
"No. . Bubbles did it." Ell said.
"Bubbles, are you still in there?" You ask.
"I have subsumed it." Bubbles responds. "Interesting. Like this, I still cannot overcome paradox without destroying myself. . but I can think much, much more quickly."

"Azriel should we tell the other kalaks of the spell being broken?"

"zeke are the chicks okay?"
>>
>>19609097
Let's ask our twins what they think we should do with Ragnarok and Gehenna.
>>
rolled 91 = 91

>>19609138
I personally think we should place a binding on them to force them to care for the young kalaks, to teach and raise and so forth...

but thats just what I think is a good Idea
>>
>>19609162
That's what I planned to suggest as well. Nice.
>>
"Thinking about things today, by using the time in tomorrow?"
"Essentially." He says. "For example, I can use portions of my mind to assist me for events later on. It will. . trap me, however, and I refuse to be a slave to anything, even fate itself."
You nod, and turn to Raziel. "So, Raziel, I didn't have time to ask. Any luck at the crypt?"
"They're clearing up more undead and reassembling the bodies for me." She said. "I'll have to go check on them when we leave."
"Azariel, should we tell the other kalak of the spell being broken?"
"I would. . prefer not." He said. "I did a great many things I am now ashamed of- and I do not want history to know of them."

As you spoke, Ezekiel re-entered the room, Dariel and Kaliel coming with him.
"Az!" Dariel asked, and ran to the spirit. "I thought- I thought you were-"

He runs up to hug the spirit. . but flies through.

The puffy kalak just sits there for a moment, looking to the ground. You can't see his eyes. . but you know what he's feeling.
>>
>>19609191
Place a hand on Dariel's shoulder
"He died saving this world from the fate your home suffered. I know this won't make it hurt any less, but he saved the lives of hundreds of thousands with his sacrifice."
>>
>>19609221
"our homes" is better, I think. Because it happened to us, as well.
>>
He's feeling, no doubt, the same thing you felt when your own father died. You were in a forest, and you were just. . lost.

So you put a hand on his shoulder. It's more fluffy than he looks, which almost seems impossible.
"He died saving this world from the fate our homes suffered." You say, in a calm voice. "I know this won't make it hurt any less, but he saved the lives of hundreds of thousands with his sacrifice."
"Not to mention." Azariel said. "I'm going to be here to stay. In this form, yes, but I will. . unlive as long as the throne serves as my totem."
"Really?" Dariel asked, looking up to the ghost.
"Indeed. I still have to teach you alchemy, do I not?"
Dariel nodded, and squawked happily.
>>
>>19609234
I left that out because they probably don't know anything about Ishelda.
>>
>>19609264
They don't need to. If they ask we can say, "My home was destroyed by demons, as well."
>>
Hohoho. Ancient, spectral birdman advisor GET!
>>
>>19609263
See how Kaliel is doing.
>>
You look over to Kaliel. . and she's examining the mutant bodies.
"These things are so twisted." Kaliel said. "Whatever made these aren't very smart."
She doesn't seem hurt at all.
"I could make better fighters than this, and I'm only fifty." She said. "Zeke, can you escort me to my room? I need my books."
"Right." Ezekiel says. "Let's go- I'm not sure there aren't any mutants still in the tower."
"Yeah, duh, that's why I'm asking you to escort me."
>>

I thought she could only just do shapeshifting...
>>
>>19609319
Well I can make better fighters than that with a snap of my fingers and I am only twelve!
>>
I wonder if he's a free-willed undead? It would be tasteless to ask IC.
>>
"Wait. . I thought you could only do shapeshifting." You say.
"As if." She says. "Uriel's specialty was shapeshifting, and he still got found out. Mine's gonna be shapeshifting. .but I'm not sticking to actual creatures- that just limits people. I'm going to make my own forms."

Every kalak in the room suddenly look at her, and go silent.
"No offense, miss Kaliel," Ell says. "But that's kind of. . insane. What if you screw up your organs or something?"
"Well, duh, I'm going to test it on animals and stuff- shapeshift them, first. Let's go, Zeke."

Ezekiel and Kaliel leave the room. Azariel sighs, and shakes her head.

>>
>>19609445
Why? Nothing wrong with shapeshifting into a dragon.
>>
>>19609475
It might invalidate the sacrifice, so she really should not.
>>
"One hundred years of childhood.... I can understand why you're only raising two of them at a time."
"Actually, they become adults at eighty. Ezekiel and Raziel just grew up rather slowly. I'm glad that I at least got to raise them well enough to be self-sufficient before I died." Azariel said. "I have no more eggs to hatch, anyway."
>>
I'm p[retty sure the sacrifice will know someone shapeshifted to resemble a dragon and an actual dragon.
>>
rolled 18 = 18

>>19609497
is that all of the kalaks?

I thought there were more...
>>
>>19609498
We have had this discussion before. No dragons. We could ask Azariel to be sure though.
>>
>>19609488
But it won't. Impulse said it has to be an actual living dragon. We've already seen a demon shapeshifted into a dragon and if the demons could break the sacrifice on their own it'd be completely pointless.
>>
>It has to be a 'true' dragon- shapeshifted or undead versions don't count.

"Is that all of the kalak?" You ask. "I thought there were more. . "
"Twelve eggs, and myself." Azariel said. "That was all I brought. Two sets of twins. . Cassiel, Uriel, and Hadriel are dead. There are only. . eleven of my kind in all the world."
>>
>>19609585
Will that be enough?
>>
"Will that be enough?" You ask.

"It should be." He said. "We're quite long lived. Raziel, after you're done with the totem, get to breeding."
"W-what?!" She asks, backing away. Her face goes bright red.
"Kaliel can't- she's too young, and Nieriel is. . wherever she goes." Azariel says. "So it has to be you. Or Nieriel."
She covers her face, and then gets back to carving, looking very pointedly away.
>>
>>19609585

>>
Poor fools are doomed to inbreeding.
>>
>>19609742
Not necessarily, you have to keep in mind that the only Kalak who are actually related by blood are the two pairs of twins.
>>
Azariel goes perfectly silent and still, making no movements save for the green glimmering in his eyes.

"I have a favor to ask of you." He says. "Find Nieriel, and bring Dariel and Kaliel to her. They won't be able to stay here."
"What?" Dariel asked.
"I don't have the power anymore. This place will not be safe."
>>

>>19609721
Just throwing the idea out.
>>
>>19609770
Are any of them ACTUALLY related by blood? I thought they were just a bunch of random eggs that Azariel brought with him.
>>
>>19609779
true inbreeding will lead to bad shit of there not enough of a gene pool avaible
>>
>>19609770
Now, I'm no rocket surgeon, but I'm pretty sure 11 people isn't enough to keep genetics diverse enough to prevent becoming inbred in a few generations.
>>
>>19609840
Actually with shapeshifting they can just shift into a genetically diverse form of Kalak.
>>
>>19609840
Actually I think 11 is the minimum threshold, at least for human beings.
>>
>>19609853
Or if that doesn't work they could shapeshift a human (Or anything alive actually) into a Kalak, which should have different genes.

Fuck it, let's make a new artifact to keep the Tower safe.
>>
This is hard to figure out without a genetics lab.
Here's a tough one. If two Kalak who are related both shapeshift into humans, are their human forms related genetically?
>>
>>19609953
We made one artifact by getting a nat 100. Do you really wanna drop our fate point on doing that? I don't.

>>19609901
We have a divinating compass, we can find her easily.

I expect she's on the western continent, myself.
>>
>The inbreeding point is fairly moot from your perspective, though, as a kalak generation is anywhere from 300 to 500 years, not to mention, you're royalty; You're pretty inbred yourself.
>I'll have to decide how shapeshifting effects genetics. I don't know right now.
>>19609919
>And actually, Raziel and Ezekiel aren't identical twins, and in her defense, Zeke is pretty attractive in kalak terms- his multicolored blue-and-black feathers are fairly rare, and they do that.

"Unless you know where I can find them, I won't promise to take them anywhere. But I can promise that they will get the opportunity to accompany me in as much safety as is possible."

"I'm not a child!" Dariel said. "I can fly, and if the history books are right, that means that's my rite of adulthood. So there."

She giggles, and wipes her eyes. "We both know that's Raziel."
"Kristoph, can you take her back to the ship?"
"Yes, my lady." He says, and sheathes his blade. Then he looks back to Azariel's sword. . .

"The bird won't need this, will he?" He asked. "Ask him if I can have it, once he comes back again."

With that, Kristoph and Marigold left, leaving just you, Raziel, Grayson, the two lizardmen, and the two twins.

"Now." you say. "The question raises about what to do about the pair of you."
Their eyes meet, and they start twittering to one another, in whatever birdsong language the kalak use.

You bring your magic up, raring to go, and Grayson growls, getting to his feet.

"Know, that if you try to jostle them from where they are now. . .you will need to do it perfectly. . or they will be torn apart by titanic forces beyond my, or your, control." One twin said.
The other raised his arms, ready to cast.
You do it anyways. You close your eyes, and seer. .

All you see is the night sky. . and. . a sun. No blue skies, no nothing. You're just in the dark, with a single, burning star. Behind you is something. . . Catastrophic. Massive. Enormous.
A cold chill runs up your spine, as your mind starts to refuse the very size of the thing. It must be larger than the entire world!
Frozen in space and time, the lizardmen sit, glaives raised, balanced precariously between the. . massive object, and the burning sun. You have the feeling. . that if you do this just wrong, they will get pulled to one side, and. . . crushed, somehow.

With a strong, angry will, you Move them, so perfectly, and so elegantly. .
They reappear at your side, active again.

"No." You say. "Your two lives for the promise you'll never interfere with or assault either directly or indirectly me or anyone I associate with."

They gaped as the glaives press up against their necks again.

Why cant people ever discuss things reasonably come to reasonable compromises, before acting.
The whole magic can solve everything sound nice and we might have allied if they would simply have explained it to us.

New personal policy: always make our agenda known so that we don't behave like that.
>>
>>19610794
I'd rather not. If they have no malicious intent, they can do whatever they want for all I care.

Being brought up by Azariel and then taught by Eidolen probably messed up their personalities pretty good, but I think those two aren't lost causes.
>>
>>19610801
Or we could have them along if they so wish.
They are powerful in their own right and have talents that might be useful.
Given their lives are almost literally in our hands at the moment, we could demand that of them. Though it'd be poor show of character given the sort of persona we've established as a kind-hearted, elegant girl.
>>
rolled 98 = 98

How about we ask them what they're planning to do now
>>
"Now, what say you to these terms?" You ask.

Their eyes meet again, and they tweet-

And then Nahzit slams their heads together. "No. Either talk in common, or answer her question."

"I- . . I swear." One of them say, meeting your eyes.
"But they took your tome!" The other says.
"She's letting us leave, instead of killing us. Renouncing Eidolon is worth our lives."
"I. . I swear as well." The other twin says.

Wanderer: "Ishelda. The girl who keeps running, never looking back out of shame."
Ishelda: "One day, I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine."
Kristoph: "I've seen whole armies turn and run away, and she'll just swagger off on her ship, launching off in with a snap of her fingers. The girl and the flying ship. Next stop everywhere."
Ishelda: "What's the point of being grown up if you can't be a little childish sometimes?"

"Stand down." You tell Nahzit. He and Velrid lower their glaives.

The twins start tweeting to one another, having some quick, involved conversation. It almost sounds like an argument, but their expressions stay perfectly neutral- something you find quite creepy.

Soon enough, they finish their conversation, and turn to you.
"We thank you for your offer, but it would be best if we did not. Our siblings do not like us, much; we have done too much to be forgiven."

They bow, and Ragnarok starts chanting another spell- One that you sense is targeted specifically on the brothers. Probably a translocation spell.

"Again, thank you." Gehenna responds. "You. . .don't mind if we recover the Fell, do you?"
He was gone before he could receive an answer.

This is going to be a more immediate problem then I had thought.

We should pull Raziel aside and tell her that we think Marigold is becoming some sort of possessed vampire thing, and see if she has any ideas.
>>
>>19612302
Seems like we need to have a proper chat with the Ankh and find our what it's mad about.
>>
You straighten your legs, forcing yourself back up.

Marigold falls to her knees, trembling, and crying, unintelligably. Kristoph touches her shoulder and murmurs something. . but she pushes his arm away, gets up, and runs below deck.

You look over to the two small, burning flowers, and find that they'd been completely healed, the hellfire gone.
>>
>>19612420
Ask Grayson to watch over her. I doubt she needs anything beyond a big soft huggable bear right now.
>>
rolled 24 = 24

>>19612420
Right, let's barge in on her and have a chat.
>>
>>19612420
Tell Raziel we'll wait, then go see if we can get Marigold to talk to us.

If she needs some blood to drink, we can offer ours, and tell her what Azariel said about the Ankh's "cost"
>>
>>19612442
This,
>>
>>19612302
Well shit.

Guys. Who do we know who is an Ogre and vampiric?

Whargaul the Vampiric Warlord. Raziel's uncontrollable spectre, whose totem is only called upon in the worst of times where there's something really big and deliciously magical (like a couple of hellknights) to smash and eat that makes us look like crumbs.

Now, what is in the Ankh, which has made Marigold into a some sort of vampire, right now?

Something that is shrieking at us in Ogrish. And really, really wants to eat life and destroy everything that has ever existed.

I think we need to have a talk with Raziel to see what the fuck is up, because she's the one who knows the most about the ancient Ogre civilization and presumably the Ankh and Whargaul.

>>19612420
FOLLOW HER.
>>
>>19612420
Well, that was interesting. We should probably go have a talk with Marigold, after we let her calm down for a bit. After a bit send Grayson to be big, furry and comforting and then see her ourself. In the meanwhile talk to Raziel, see if she has any theories on why the Ankh is acting this way and if Marigold being a whirlwind of life magic is making it weird as hell.
>>
>>19612444
I'm not sure we want a psuedo vampiric entity chowing down on our life force...

Let's just ask greyson to watch her.
>>
>>19612471
and Talk to Raziel!
>>
>>19612420
Definitely follow her.
>>
>>19612443
This, we need to do this now, before it goes from worse to worst.
>>
You quickly follow her, calling Grayson with you- if she wants something to hug, there's not much better than a giant, fuzzy bear.

You find her in her cabin- which was quite sparse, save for a journal, her bed, and a few of her belongings.

You find her shaking on the bed, curled up in the fetal position, facing away from you. You hear her mumble something that sounds like 'go away'.
>>
>>19612539
Sit down next to the bed. Ask if she wants to talk, but wait around until she does regardless of the answer.
>>
>>19612539
"Please talk to me, Mar. I just want to help, if I can."
>>
>>19612539
Have Grayson be big and cuddly by her and sit down on the edge of her bed.
>>
>>19612539
Hug her. If she struggles, hug her tighter.
"Mar. I'm not going to lie to you. It's very dangerous. Which is why I'm going to help you. Help it, to get better. Trust me. I'm Ishelda, and there's tea getting cold."
And then we dive into her mind and have a lovely chat with the Ankh.
>>
>>19612539
Sit down on the bed next to her. Just be there if she needs somebody to speak to.
>>
You think. You feel the heart vibrate, as if it were a crux. Can. . Can a crux happen without artifacts, you wonder. There are two things you can do here, two very significant choices, the heart tells you. Choices like this are what create a crux, not just artifacts.

The heart informs you that cruxes, among other things, are what it was created to detect.

>Your choices are:
>[] Speak with the ankh.
>[] Comfort Marigold.
>[] Other?
>>
>>19612624
Marigold. Also, brew some tea.
>>
>>19612624
Speak with Ankh, tell it to back. the fuck. off. Her name is Marigold and she's protected.
>>
>>19612624
Have ourself and Grayson give Marigold a big hug, then maintain the hug and talk to the Ankh. It isn't as comforting as actual comforting but it's still pretty good and we need a chat with the Ankh.
>>
>>19612624
Ankh
>>
>>19612650

>>
>>19612624
Comfort Marigold.
>>
>>19612650

>>
Comfort Marigold. Then tell her we need to show whomever is in the Ankh in charge. There is no way we're letting them get away with trying to burn her flowers.
>>
>>19612686
>>19612650
Very much seconded.
>>
>>19612624
Comfort Marigold, it's not her fault, it's the artifact that's messing with her, she just hasn't learned to control it yet, etcetera, and tell the Ankh to fuck off as we do. If it talks back in whatever pigdog tongue Ogrish happens to sound like, we punch it in its stupid metaphysical face with a metaphysical fist of fuck you. What's that? We can only pick one? Fuck that. We always try our hardest. We're not going to let her feel better at the cost of her going Excorcist or some shit or have the Ankh in control ye her feel irrationally awful over it, that's shit.
>>
>What's that? We can only pick one? Fuck that. We always try our hardest.
>Option 3 has been chosen.

The crux settles, and you sit down at the foot of the bed, and hug her tightly.
"Mar. . .I'm not going to lie to you." You say. "It's very dangerous, which is why I'm going to help you. Help it, to get better."

She shakes, almost uncontrollably, in your arms. "It was- it was so mean." She said.

"Trust me." You say, and take out some tea you'd had some elementals brewing.

She's silent for a long, long half hour. . and you don't break the silence, sipping your tea as she sips hers, and strokes Grayson's head.

"Ishelda." She says. "Can you- Can you talk to it?"
>>
speak with the anhk while comforting marigold since one marigold needs support and two we need to see what the hells with the anhk

"It's very possible, Marigold. Whether it will want to speak with me nice and politely, or whether I will have to beat it into submission with magic is the question at the moment. It might have to be both. Ogres are not known for sanity and this one seems especially insane. What YOU can do while I try to talk to it, Marigold, is defy it at every turn, and beat it with sheer will. Silence its whispers. Drown out its shouts with your own. It will not get the better of you unless you let it. Why, I and my companions fought a horde of devils and slew an archdemon, once, and hardly broke a sweat! Anything is possible if you believe. Be strong and believe in yourself, Marigold. I know you can do it."
>>
"Of course I can." You say. You hold her tighter, close your eyes, and. .
There's no word for it, you think. It can only be called 'diving in'.

It's hot, wherever you are. The sky is red, and the ground is blasted and cracked. You raise your arm, to find you're wearing nothing but the ragged dress you came to this world in. You strongly smell sulphur, and you can't see very far in the distance- the red dust and smoke in the air makes it impossible.

"So, little girl." You hear a booming voice say, from behind you. "Were you the one that ran from the demons instead of fought?"
You turn around, and there's. . an enormous, red dragon, cat-like eyes staring directly at you. It pokes you in the forehead with a single, sharp claw.
"I've heard things about you. . Issssshhheeeeldaaaa." It says, drawing out your name into a long hiss.

Well that is the next item on my request list (http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/19569309/#p19573382). Raziel x Grayson wasn't terribly descriptive but it will do.

Because Ishelda hasn't looked yet.
>>
>>19613251
Well we'll ask Raziel to summon it, then we'll ask her to stop exerting control over it, and then we'll ask the dragon what gender it is, which will surprise it enough to stop it going on a rampage immediately. Then when it answers, Raziel can reassert control/dismiss it before it does anything else.
Flawless plan.

Does carving Azariel's throne into a totem make it lose it's artifact-y long range spellslinging-ness? Because that's a useful ability to have.

The cell is dark and damp and cold.
The shackles clink loudly.
"Let me out." She cries, and shivers in the cold. "Please, please let me out!"

A voice rings out through the darkness. "No. Why would I do that? If I did. . I wouldn't be able to have my child."
It's your voice.
You walk in from the dark, your soulfire serpent hissing loudly, as you look at the young Mother, her tail curling around the shackles, trying to break it.
You gently caress her cheek, and the lizardman mother whimpers.
"Of course," You say, "Draconic reproduction isn't quite compatible with other races, so . . when I take your genetic material, you will end up dead."
"Please, please no, no, please."
Your fingers dig into her cheek, and you reach out with your magic, draining away all of her life force. She is a husk, and her last plea died unsaid on her lips.

And then you turn to the egg, and give it a small smile. Your child. The only child.
You give it the Mother's energy, and you feel it rustle. But it's still. . still incomplete.
You've already given it all the force of every living being on this planet. . and it's taken a long, long four years.

You climb out of the cell, and look around. It reminds you of the wastelands, from long, long ago. .
You know what your child wants.
You close your eyes, and dig your fingers into your own torso.
It wants more power.

>Bad End - My Child

The egg rustles, near the dried out husk of Ishelda, once princess of arcturus, next to it.

And then the portal opens.
A young woman with silver hair steps out. Her dead, emotionless eyes survey the land. She looks over to the portal, and a dark, empty elemental drifts out.
"Get the egg." The void queen says, and the elemental obeys.
