A New Fate/Stay thread since the last one's autosaging. We had some bitching ideas last time.

>>19654427
>>
How would you guys feel if I ran a quest thread on this?

It'd be similar to EGO's, except that I greatly love to make the player struggle and I hate writing romance with a passion.
Of course, we'd have to pitch some Servant ideas before anything could happen...
>>
>>19663582
>Struggle
Hmm, mite b cool.

>No romance
Fuck this shit. I think I'll just go read EGO's again.
>>
>>19663582
On the one hand, we have quite a few quest threads already

On the other hand, I don't participate in quest threads anyway so my opinion isn't particularly valid on the subject

On the third, tragically deformed mutant hand growing from my abdomen, maybe that one angry anon will literally explode from rage if we reach critical mass!
>>
>>19663582
Sure. Nasu is all about suffering after all. Just ask Sacchin fans. Just try and make it different though. And make the Baron Caster.
>>
>>19663652
Different?
Did someone say [nospoilersontg]New Orleans setting?
>>
>>19663671
Oh hell yes. Make it during Marti Gras. I can't wait for the inevitable hurricane summoned by Caster.

Good man. Now we just need someone who actually knows how to template this sort of thing to cover Jim Bowie. I'm thinking Saber.

I will never get a chance to play a game based on F/SN, and it is one of the best stories I've ever read/watched/played.

Notable Skill

Martial Arts A+++

>Noble Phantasm
>God Hand: One Strike, Certain Death
Mas Oyama was undoubtly the best hand-to-hand martial artist the Japanese Country ever saw, but most of the other fighters didn't know him or simply didn't believe on his feats so he decided to show his skills. He then went around challeging other dojos and doing stupedely powerful acts of skill.
One of his biggest acts was fighting fighting with bulls with his bare hands and in many times killing them with one punch. After that Mas Oyama became known for his one hit one kill technique
At any point of the fight Mas can enter on a specific stance and "charge" his punch, after charging he will unleash the punch and depending on the ammount of time charging, the power of the punch will increase where a fully charged punch will probably kill the opponent.
Rank:A

>Kumite: The Bloody Test
For 3 days Mas Oyama fought against 300 fighters at the same time and defeated all. Once completing it he decided to make the 100 Kumite the last test to get the final black belt on his dojo. To this day only 15 people managed it and none at the same level of Oyama.
When fighting against a big number of people Oyama strikes gain a Anti-Army quality being able to knockout many in one single strike

Caster:Fafnir
>Strength: B
>Endurance: B
>Agility: B
>Mana: A
>Phantasm: B
>Luck: D
>Noble Phantasm: Ridil & Hroti

>Fafnir's Swords Ridil & Hroti both act as magical crests, and in his posession act as foci for his spellcasting. With them He does not have to use incantations. Ridlil has poison magic, and Hroti has Fire magic.

:Bio, the draconic foe faced by siegmund the hero, Fafnir is summoned to the holy grail war as an monster-type hero.
A Dwarf by nature, Fafnir was a magical shapeshifter, that famously held the form of a dragon, a feat only few could ever do. With wicked spells and draconic breath, he famously dueled the hero.

Summoned as a caster, Fafnir uses shapeshifting spells, and through Ridil and Hroti, uses fire and smoke on the battlefield, bringing harm to all in his way. Being a spirit originally, his stats are far superior to a hero-type.
He has the special attributes:
>>Shape shift.
Transform body into any beast.

>>Dragon-blood.
Spells are greatly empowered and enhanced past normal limits. A large plethora of spells are automatically known to fafnir.
>>
Rider: Steve Irwin
>Strength: B
>Endurance: A
>Speed: C
>Mana: D
>Phantasm: B
>Luck: B

>Noble Phantasm: Life Of A Hunter
Steve Irwin's life was dedicated to an endless chain of hunting, and as such cannot successfully fight without choosing his prey. Selecting a class of servant (or a master, should the name be known) will allow Steve Irwin to use his other phantasms against the chosen servant and master. All other servants consider him one rank lower for every attribute but Luck, which becomes E. Additionally, he cannot use his phantasms against them. This will not change unless the prey he has chosen is killed, or a command seal is used.

>Noble Phantasm: Beast Tamer
Steve Irwin has defeated many beasts stronger, faster and more cunning than him, and his link with the land connects him with those he has conquered. Steve Irwin can call the beings he has faced to aid him in battle, along with anything lower on the food chain. Should a Servant be killed by him, he gains a one-time ability to call upon their aid for five minutes.

>Noble Phantasm: A Fool's Immortality
Steve Irwin has survived countless fatal encounters, and by normal logic it should have been impossible to live to the age he did. Should Steve Irwin engage in dangerous activities, his Luck is considered one rank higher, and only damage to his heart will kill him.
>>
>>19663582
>No Romance

Fine, but you have to promise to make the Master and Servant different genders at least.
>>
Don Quixote
Rider

An old man of Spain, gullible but good natured, inspired by heroic literature to take up the lance in search of adventure.
>Strength: D
>Endurance: D
>Agility: D
>Mana: E
>Phantasm: E~A++
>Luck: A
>The Chivalric Code
All stats increase a full rank when acting in defense of a woman or the downtrodden.
>The Ingenious Gentleman of La Mancha
Weak in body but strong in conviction, reality itself is malleable to Quixote's beliefs. The closer held, the farther reaching.

Basically a servant who'd be difficult to win with, but fun to play.

Illustrating his later phantasm a bit, Don Quixote, as a knight-errant, believes it his duty to deliver justice upon the wicked; good always triumphing over evil (in those sorts of stories he reads), it would be hypothetically impossible for him to lose against any servant of evil alignment, no matter how skilled or numerous. However, also believing a knight never turns his sword against a lady, he'd be absolutely powerless against literally any female combatant imaginable.

No idea what would happen should he face an evil woman.

Furthermore, though he carries no signature weapon, any object he is or can be convinced is a weapon he may wield as one, with all the blessings and abilities he believes it to possess. He could slice a tank in half with a wooden sword if he believed it capable.

The only caveat to all this is Quixote's belief must be genuine; he can't simply decide he's good at something or that the fountain pen you handed him can split the sky, it has to be something he's internalized within the very fiber of his being.
>>
>>19663582
We already have a quest on the exact subject. Between that and the general over-crowding of quests already (EGO agreed, don't bother him about it), doubt we need another.

Lovecraft
Berserker Class

STR: C
END: C
AGI: C
MAN: D
LUK: D

Skills:

Mad Enhancement : At the cost of mental acuity, Lovecraft has been granted otherworldly strength and power.

Noble Phantasm: Beast Within
Rank: C

Lovecraft's eternal foes, the Elder Ones, have planted a 'seed' within him. Whenever Lovecraft is in combat, he may randomly summon Beast-class Servants. These Servants draw mana and prana for their abilities from the Master.

Noble Phantasm: The Forgotten City
Rank: EX

Lovecraft can bend the space of a large area, randomizing where doors and paths lead entirely. This ability manifests whenever Lovecraft is in danger, and its unpredictability may lead to a tactical disadvantage.
>>
Baron Samedi
Strength: E
Endurance: E
Agility: E
Mana: A
Phantasm: E - A++
Luck: B

Noble Phantasm - B: Friends On The Other Side
The Baron can summon powerful voodoo spirits to do his bidding. However, they will want some sort of compensation for their work, no matter how small or large their job.

Noble Phantasm - E - A++: Things I Haven't Even Tried
The Baron is a master at sympathetic magic. Items he possesses of the target of his magic increase it's effectiveness. A piece of clothing doesn't do much; A blood sample can over ride almost all magical defenses, to say nothing of a phantasm or sympathetic artifact.

Noble Phantasm - A: I Am You
The Baron is really just the true spirit of Baron Samedi acting through the spirit of the human most like him upon summoning, the spirit is not Samedi, but Samedi acts through it... Should the spirit be on the verge of destruction, the spirit of the true Samedi may jump to the Master and act through him (completely overriding the Masters free will). This technique can be used in situations where the servant does not risk destruction (such as in cases of extreme need by the Master) but for its duration it leaves the spirit that samedi normally 'rides' essentially a lifeless defenseless husk. The Master retains all access to noble phantasms that samedi has gained, and full use of all of his powers for as long as Samedi is "riding" him.

Class: Saber
Name: Beowulf
Alignment: Neutral Good
Strength: A
Endurance: B
Agility: D
Mana: C
Luck: B

Ability: Monster Slayer (B+): Beowulf inflicts more damage against anything with beastial or draconic traits.

Noble Phantasm: Hrunting, Sword of the Red Plains (C+)
Hrunting is a incredibly sharp blade, able to cut through almost any substance. However, it cannot damage anything constructed magically.

Noble Phantasm: Naegling, The Unfailing Blade (B+)
Naegling is Beowulf's trusted family blade. While it caps his strength at C, it at the same time increases his damage against monsters and dragons, as well as boosting his Endurance, Luck, and Agility to A.

Noble Phantasm: Bypassing the Hide (B)
No matter the defenses, Beowulf can use his Strength to break through. He can forgo the use of his swords to boost his Strength to A+, and attempt to simply rip his target in half. This attack must be contested with the target's Strength.
>>
>>19663652
Please, we'll be the one who summoned Baron Samedi.

We stumbled into town, we're a good magician, from a somewhat established house. We follow Voodoo traditions, we know our stuff but didn't know a Grail War was going on.

We wake up after a night that we barely remember bits and pieces of. We have one hell of a hangover and a man or woman in a nice suit with skull makeup on their face is stirring a pot of gumbo. They turn to us, say that was a wild party we had last night and that the gumbo is perfect for dealing with our hangover. Oh, and there's a war for the Holy Grail going on, you can call me Caster.

The bow given to Arjuna by Indra, it comes with a quiver of infinite arrows and lets Arjuna fire his other two Phantasms. The twang of the bow has a sound like the cracking of thunder, so while it gives the arrows piercing power, it makes stealthy shooting harder.

>Rank B-- Vajra: The Diamond Thunderbolt of Heaven
Every three days, Arjuna may invoke Indra's name in a prayer. The result is that the next arrow Arjuna fires becomes a lightning-fast attack that can penetrate any defense: as fast as lightning, as strong as diamond. However, Arjuna must keep the arrow on the string for five seconds before it can be launched as a Vajra shot.

>Rank A-- Brahmashira: Oh Brahma, Sunder the Earth
Once each week, Arjuna can pray to Brahma to use this weapon, which is a single, powerful homing shot that creates an explosion comparable to an anti-tank rocket. It can only be used on those with weaker abilities than himself, like Karna's version, and can't be supercharged with prana.

The Viking at Stamford Bridge - Berserker

STR: B
END: A
AGI: B
MANA: E
LUCK: D

Skills:
Mad Enhancement (C) - Rank up for all parameters except Luck and Mana, but in exchange one can no longer think and speak properly.

Battle Continuation (A) - Makes possible to fight even with deadly injuries and can remain alive so long as one does not receive a decisive fatal wound.

Noble Phantasms:

Permission to Die Honorably (A) - The Viking at Stamford Bridge cannot be harmed by frontal attacks whatsoever. The only way to hurt him is from behind, and such attacks deal normal damage.

Impassable Resolve (C) - The Viking at Stamford Bridge can set an area as his "Bridge". While he is in this area, physical parameters increase by one rank.

>Weapons
Mosin-Nagant M28 "Pystykorva"
Suomi KP/31 submachinegun
Simo can spawn ammunition for these weapons in the appropriate feeding devices, but only in his pockets or pouches. Weapons still have to be loaded manually.

>Ability: Breathless (B)
Simo can stay unseen with ease, having evaded counter-snipers, artillery-strikes and a full infantry battalion. This ability raises one rank if the terrain is familiar (needs to scout it once) to Simo. If he is not appropriately camoflaged for the area he's in, the ability lowers a rank, and cannot benefit from the familiar terrain bonus.

>Fantasm: White Death (EX)
A white, brightly glowing bullet. It contains relatively little mana, but it's concentrated enough in that little projectile to pierce any armor without fail. If Simo is detected, the bullet may be dodged if the Servant's Agility stat is high enough. The requirement drops as range increases, due to the flight time of the bullet. The second limitation is ammunition. Simo only has 5 cartridges loaded with these special bullets. For ease of carry, they are stored in a standard stripper clip, but they can be used individually like any other cartridge.

I think Alexander might have been a worse matchup with Kayneth than Diarmuid.

No.

There are many aspects of the nasuverse that you can make quests about.

Fate was already taken, if you want something nasu then try doing something that hasn't really been oversaturated or explored yet.

You can always write about the Church executors, or dead apostles, or mystic eyes.

God damn the possibilities are endless. Stop trying to restrict yourself to Fate.

>>
>>19664593
Then it gets interesting, and if you're a mage, you'll start pulling out your own bag of tricks.
>>19664590
To me it was the weakest, as Shirou experienced the least amount of character development.
In Fate, he never looks away from becoming a superhero, damn the consequences.
In Unlimited Bladeworks, he comes face to face with what he could become, and consciously realizes his ideals must change if they are to survive, and so that he doesn't end up like Archer.
In Heavens Feel, he throws away his ideals for the sake of his love. He'll do anything it takes to protect her, damn the consequences.

Saber was the one that had the most change in Fate, hands down, but Shirou did change enough to not go down the same path as archer, but the only proof of taht is Last Episode.

I just wonder what the hell happened after Fate for him to pretty much go to england and seek out Sabe.
>>
Would /tg/ be interested in a quest where you play as Zelretch and derp around the alternate dimensions with no consequences whatsoever, because you're motherfuckin' Zelretch?

Or would you prefer being a newly awakened Dead Apostle (after a century of being a mindless ghoul) and have to defend against executors, enforcers, and other hunters while you gain power?
>>
>>19664676
In my opinion, he did become Archer. Always seeking fits a counter guardian well. However, unlike the Archer we see summoned, he never became cynical. One day, he'd see her again. One day, he'd be free. One day, he'd succeed at finding her.
>>
>>19664698
Either one would be fine. Zelretch is practically Boxcar Joe, the Magic Hobo. I love how dickish he is.
>>
>>19664706

But he did and from the look of the epilogue, he didn't die before reaching her or become a CG.

Last Episode leave a lot of stuff ambiguous but Arthur herself reached out to him, I seriously doubt he went down Archer path, probably that the dismantling of the Greater Grail made him finally question himself?
>>

Oh, I'm not saying the Fate route isn't good, far from it. It's a pretty good route, it's just the other two are better in my opinion. Saber is an interesting character, just the others outdo her in that regard.

Avalon is a magical place that only a very few people can reach. Saber went there because she was favored by the fairies.

A character told Shirou (maybe Zelretch) that it'd be possible for him to enter Avalon so long as Saber kept waiting for him, and he kept searching for her.

When Shirou finally died, instead of entering the reincarnation cycle, his soul went to Avalon to be with Saber.

Noble Phantasms:

>Old Betsy: D-C rank

Davy Crockett's trusted rifle. Though slow to load, it never misses when he aims properly. Unlike a weapon like Gae Bolg, which will alter reality to ensure a hit, Old Betsy's round will simply alter direction and speed to hit its mark, demolishing anything in its way if Crockett wishes. It can also be used as a close combat weapon of rank D.

>Crockett's Last Stand: A rank

When his end came at the battle of the Alamo, Crockett did not go quietly. When death is certain, all of Crockett's parameters go up by 1 grade and Old Betsy becomes a close combat weapon of A rank. This Noble Phantasm is activated automatically.

Nasu specifically said that people who used guns cannot become Heroes, as guns make things "too easy to be heroic."

Also, since 200 years ago nobody has become a hero for various reasons, primarily because incredible acts are regarded as things anyone could achieve with the proper training, rather than the deeds of a truly legendary figure.

Also, humanity has been diluted. Nasuverse humans are a limited resource: Early in history there were fewer people, so everyone was fucking crazy-strong and magic was ridiculously powerful.

Now that there's so many people, the power of humanity is diluted to the point where they no longer qualify for spiritual ascension, and magic is a shadow of its former power.

Gilgamesh's plan of killing a large percentage of humanity, while vicious, would've actually worked.

I saw this thread earlier, but couldn't post. SO, I'll do it now. Here's my serious and my not-so-serious contributions:

>Ivan IV Vasilyevich
>Beserker
>Alignment: Lawful Ebul
>Strength: C
>Endurance: B
>Agility: E
>Mana: B+
>Luck: B+

The Spirit appears as a tall, dark haired man with calloused, wrinkled skin and piercing dark eyes. He stands tall and straight like an immovable pillar against fate and garbed in royal furs, jewels, and gold befitting a great king. Yet when he speaks, naught comes out but Biblical ramblings and truly, one can see madness in his fervent gaze.

>Noble Phantasm: Absolute Edict
>Ivan was characterized largely by his style of politics: absolute control and a hatred of nobles. In life he may have held political power, but as a Heroic(HA!) Spirit, this extends into the mystical as well. Absolute Edict is a heavy, 3 foot long golden mace that will instantly nullify any magical constructs (including other noble phantasms) of C rank or less at a touch. Against those of noble birth, Absolute Edict nullifies any magical constructs of B rank or less.
>Rank B
>>
>>19665002
(cont)

>Whispers of Angels
By far, Ivan was most known for his periods of insanity, during which he claimed God spoke to him through His Messengers. While most believe his psychosis and paranoia were due to his blood and attempted treatments, there may have been some truth to that. Ivan cannot speak intelligibly; he only spews out verses of holy scripture that are jumbled together and frankly confusing. Rather than insanity, this is a side effect of Ivan's connection to the Divine. Ivan has startlingly accurate precognitive visions of the immediate future, though their meaning is not always clear, nor can they be reasonably conveyed. This significantly boosts his otherwise mediocre combat capabilities. In addition, Ivan will instantly know the True Identity of a fellow Heroic Spirit after 24 hours since their first meeting.
>Rank EX

>Healing Mercury
>Ivan's chronic arthritis was frequently treated by large doses of mercury. While this seldom worked, it has given Ivan a rather unique Noble Phantasm. A small vial of silver liquid hangs around his neck. Once per Grail War, any servant can ingest this potent mixture to unlock some of his inner ability. The servant is instantly cured of all wounds and permanently switches their Strength and Agility with their Mana and Luck respectively. In addition, the imbiber's toughness is increased by one level. However, partaking in this toxic drink prevents the servant from accessing any Noble Phantasms (besides weapons) or using magic for the rest of the war.
>Rank A

It's a little unconventional for a Beserker, I know. Any feedback would be nice.

Germanicus Julius Caesar

Noble Phantasm

Triumphus - The Sword of Rome: The Triumphus is the highest gift any roman can have receive from it's country and it's usually given at it's Emperors. Germanicus was the last citizen to receive this legendary gift and so he carries with pride. It's a a fairly simple Spatha but anyone who looks at it will sense a great power within it, as the sword carries the pride of the longest empire in the whole earth.
Triumphus while not a particularly powerful sword when compared to the other legendary ones, it will make lesser opponents cower instantly to the user and make it's user allies rally stronger to his cause.
Rank C

Teutoberg Forest - The Bloody Revenge of the Roman Legions: The Battle of the Teutoberg Forest was one of the biggest disasters that ever happened in Roman Military History, where over 20,000 romans were killed and one of the Legendary Eagles was lost in battle, and Germanicus whole military carreer was about revenging this shameful defeat.
Teutoberg Forest is a reality marble where Germanicus transforms the world into the so fated forest, where 20,000 butchered roman corpses were left hangeds in the inumerous trees, and with an enraged Germanicus appears 8 mighty bloodthirsty for revenge roman legions, who will then use a ferocious charge at the enemy.

3 out of the 5 sorceries have been lost.

No magus alive today can do the things that Medea could. Rin could match her prana blasts with fully-charged gems, but that's hardly an accomplishment to block basic attacks with your strongest treasures.

Reality marbles specifically don't degrade, and the Holy Grail uses resources that never disappear either.

Although I will agree that Nasu consistently contradicts himself and rewrites his own shit to support whatever he's doing right now.

>Ability: Struggler A

>Noble Phantasm: Berserker Armor B
When Guts is in a Rage, the Berserker Armor takes over, increasing Strength, Endurance and Agility by 1 rank. While in this state, Guts loses all sense of reason and cannot discern friend from foe. Stacks with Mad Enhancement.

>Noble Phantasm: Dragonslayer B
His most trusted weapon, the Dragonslayer was originally made to slay dragons. Bathed in the blood of thousands of demons, this sword has gained the ability to harm even Gods.

And now, for the silly one:

>The Driver
>Rider
>Alignment: Neutral to 5th on one shift
>Strength: E
>Endurance: B
>Agility: EX
>Mana: E
>Luck: C

Some say that he was present at the invention of the wheel. And that he was the one who taught Gilgamesh how to unleash the Gates of Babylon. All that is known, is he's called The Driver. And he's here to take the Grail War by force. He never speaks, but all seem to know that The Driver means business.

> Stig Special
> The Driver is capable of riding/driving anything that could conceivably be imagined as a mode of transportation. As long as he touches said object, the object is white and performs far above its normal abilities. It becomes capable of speeds exceeding the speed of sound, turning on a pinhead, and incredibly durable. However, the instant The Driver is no longer touching the object, the object disintegrates.
>Rank A

>TONIGHT!!
>Some say that after being defeated by this amazing technique, Gilgamesh attempted to make a shoddy clone of it. And he failed. The Driver produces a reality marble that is a sea of petrol. Immediately thereafter, he summons untold amounts of vehicles from every conceivable age that crash into the unfortunate opponent. All vehicles count as being enhanced by his Stig Special.

The beatdown is comically narrated by a fat old man, a middle aged man with long hair and an overblown sense of technique, and a young man in an Opel Kadett with an absolutely blinding smile. All three men appear to be of British origin and while they may attempt to aid The Driver, they always fail in a spectacular fashion.

>>Ability: Struggler A
>Allows the user to fight against destiny.

Skill: Struggle

Allows the user to defeat abilities that reverse causality, or predetermine an outcome by way of manipulating fate. In many cases, counts as a luck bonus worth a rank equal to the skill level. In others, can dispel a fate-based Noble Phantasm of a rank lower or beyond.

>Ability: Brand of Sacrifice A
Causes evil spirits to attack every night those marked with the brand. Evil spirits and demons encountered will automatically target the branded.

Skill: Branded
For every rank, this skill causes malign or evil spirits, demons, or individuals to feel drawn to them. Each rank increases the power of those that can be affected. Noble Phantasms that are evil in nature do not gain an accuracy bonus.

Here, fixed those.

>His most trusted weapon, the Dragonslayer was originally made to slay dragons. Bathed in the blood of thousands of demons, this sword has gained the ability to harm even Gods.

>The Dragonslayer can harm insubstantial entities, but only deals half damage to said entities. Further, it is almost indestructible.

When Guts is in a Rage, the Berserker Armor takes over, increasing Strength, Endurance and Agility by 1 rank. While in this state, Guts loses all sense of reason and cannot discern friend from foe, and gains an additional rank of Battle Continuation skill. Stacks with Mad Enhancement.

Baron Samedi
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Strength: E
Endurance: E
Agility: E
Mana: A
Luck: B

Noble Phantasm: Friends On The Other Side (B)
The Baron can summon powerful voodoo spirits to do his bidding. However, they will want some sort of compensation for their work, no matter how small or large their job.

Noble Phantasm: Things I Haven't Even Tried (E -A++)
The Baron is a master at sympathetic magic. Items he possesses of the target of his magic increase it's effectiveness. A piece of clothing doesn't do much; A blood sample can over ride almost all magical defenses, to say nothing of a phantasm or sympathetic artifact.

Noble Phantasm: I Am You (A)
The Baron is really just the true spirit of Baron Samedi acting through the spirit of the human most like him upon summoning, the spirit is not Samedi, but Samedi acts through it. The Master retains all access to noble phantasms that Samedi possesses, and full use of all of his powers for as long as Samedi is "riding" him.

>Ability: Battle Continuation B
Makes possible to fight even with deadly injuries and can remain alive so long as one does not receive a decisive fatal wound.

Battle Continuation becomes A. If also under Mad Enhancement, Battle continuation becomes EX.

>Noble Phantasm: Dragonslayer A
His most trusted weapon, the Dragonslayer was originally made to slay dragons. Bathed in the blood of thousands of demons, this sword has gained the ability to harm even Gods. Ignores all damage resistances and invulnerabilities. If Dragonslayer strikes it's target then that target will receive full damage regardless of their ability to resist it.

EX abilities are so powerful as to work outside the bounds of normal skills. As in, they are, literally, hax. EX BC would be something like, so long as the battle continues, he cannot be destroyed. >Fulgur: The Weapon of the King
Given by the Cyclopes to Zeus this is the symbol of rulership of Zeus and many times it was used to brought down the enemies of Zeus. With bracelet, Zeus can create and control large currents of electricity and use them at his enemies.
The Avatar can throw bolts of lightning strong enought to kill but to do things like a thunderstorm a HUGE amount of Prana is necessary and after it Zeus will be impossibilited of doing anything of note
Rank:A

>Aegis: The Shield of the King
Made by Hephaestus to his dad and king, Aegis is one of the mightest items of the Olympus Arsenal, and it's constantly used by all the gods even if the true bearer of it it's Zeus.
Normally it's just a ornamented Belt, Aegis is a last resource NP and it can only be used once in a week by Zeus' Avatar. Once used Zeus Belt become a real shield and will protect Zeus from any kind of attack. Because of the huge amount of Prana necessary to make it work, the Avatar can just use it for a few seconds before the collapse of the NP.

Samson

Class: Berserker

>Alignment: Chaotic Good
>Strength: A
>Endurance: A
>Agility: B
>Mana: E
>Luck: D

>Skill: Mad Enhancement (EX)
So long as Samson's hair remains free and untouched, Samson is considered to be under the stat-effecting boost of Mad Enhancement (Rank A). If he is ever shorn, he loses the abilities of all his Noble Phantasms. Samson can fly into a blind rage is goaded, but otherwise is only moderately out of touch with reality.

Noble Phantasm: Ass's Jaw
Rank B
An ancient legend tells of when Samson, at the height of his power, destroyed a great many Philistines with an improvised weapon. In some lore, it is his bare hands, in others, an ass's jaw. Due to the many apocryphas and translations of the Bible, Samson is capable of using any weapon as if it were his own Noble Phantasm, replacing this NP with that one. If it was not magical, then it gains a magical rank of C, if it is but has a lower rank, it is uplifted. Any weapon used this way must be discarded at the end of battle, and never used for this purpose again.

((Yo, Gods ain't allowed. Divinity is only allowed up to the rank of demigod.))

Noble Phantasm: Temple of Dagon

When he lost his power and was chained to the Temple of Dagon, Samson prayed to God for a final burst of might, so he might destroy his enemies even at the cost of himself. This ability is only usable when Mad Enhancement is gone, and requires a use of a Command Seal to use.

Samson draws all the Mana from the surrounding area, and draws all the Prana from his Master. He expends this all in one great, empowering surge of might, in an attempt to finish off the foe before him. Once finished, he dematerializes, whether he succeeds or not.

Ability: Riding
Rank: B
Rommel can ride almost any vehicle with proficient skill.

>Ability: Charisma
>Rank: B
The ability to lead an army. Erwin Rommel is highly decorated commander and a veteran of 2 of the worlds greatest wars. He has an excellent aptitude for commanding troops.

>Ability: The Desert Fox
>Rank: C
Should Erwin Rommel be using his noble phantasm in a desert or any other suitably arid environment, his riding and charisma skills are increased by 1 rank.

>Noble Phantasm: Achtung Panzer!
>Rank: A+
Rommel is a renown Tank commander. As such, he has the ability to summon a German panther tank to his side. Though seemingly the same as a WWII panther the ammunition is supplied by his mana and is much more lethal than normal physical munitions. In addition, the protection offered by the tanks armor can change based on the amount of mana being supplied to it.

>Noble Phantasm: Walther P38
>Rank: D
A Walther P38 Rommel carried as a weapon during his service in WWII. It is simply a pistol capable of harming servants.

Tried to follow a spur of inspiration. Could be cash if refined I think. Also Rommel fighting Iskander in his realty marble, fuck yes.

I like this one for keeping it from being too overpowered. A lot of these tend to slip in an instant-win sort of reality marble, but this is good.

I forgot to add to the Bruce Lee from the previous thread:

A blow that shatters magical armor and defenses. Limited by the fact that he can only perform it from one inch. Cannot be used when activating another Noble Phantasm, but can be easily chained from his natural martial arts talent.

Noble Phantasm
>Lionheart - The Neverending Courage
Richard is renowed for never backing down a challenge and for being the biggest king warrior of all england history.
When Richard charges he becomes immune to any negative effect and can not be stopped until he ends the charge.
Rank: B

>Virtus - The Blade of the Lion
Different from most Sabers, Richard doesn't use a sword but actually his Great WarAxe who only he is able to use. The Axe is also different from most servants weapons because it wasn't gifted by any god or blacksmithed with an special power, it was just a normal axe until Richard made it famous by choosing it as his main weapon.
Thanks to Richard's battles, Victus begun to turn into a Noble Phantasm specialist in cutting through anything, including divine or magic protection, and as such when used, Victus will go through any protection hitting directly into the flesh
Rank:A

So i'm not good at England history or even the Crusades so if anyone want to correct anything or change feel free too.
Victus was invented anyway, because i feel we had to many "lolarmies" in this thread

Rider: Patient Zero/The Plague, the first bringer of sickness and the epidemic he unleashed on his community

>Endurance: C
>Agility: E

>Phantasm: B to EX
>Luck: E

>Noble Phantasm:
>Rank B++: Miasma-- The Air that Brings The Stench of Death
Patient Zero can exude a mist from a skull it carries that brings with it the stink of disease. Anyone who breathes this in will be afflicted with its effects: normal humans will die painfully, while Magi will receive constant damage. Servants receive a Rank Down in Endurance.

>Rank C++: Touch of Death-- The Spreading of Sickness
Patient Zero can inflict sickness on people simply by touching them. Normal people will immediately die, while Magi will receive constant damage for a certain period of time. Servants will be stunned and receive a Rank Down in Endurance. Can only be used at point-blank range.

>Rank EX: The Walking Dead-- The Dead Are Without Number
The true Servant is not Patient Zero, but The Plague that incubates within him. Emerging from Patient Zero (and killing him), The Plague creates a horde of walking corpses, Rank E Servants with a contagious touch that transforms normal people into walking corpses. He can fuse these together to create more powerful Servants. A "zombie apocalypse" type of Noble Phantasm, it is more useful with a constant source of bodies, like a hospital.

Basically, once this Servant appears, every other Master-Servant team is gonna go "oh shit" and focus fire on him before F/SN turns Resident Evil.

On the note of settings other than "Magus and Servant", don't forget the families that have demonic/monstrous blood in them, and the few remaining survivors of the human families that could contend with them on ability and skill backed with extremely weak psychic powers. Nanaya Kiri did some crazy stuff on a day to day basis against things that could potentially fight servants, and he did it with just a metal drumstick and the ability to see someones "Aura". He didn't even have Mystic Eyes or Magic. Ended up fighting a being that was on par with most servants and only losing because he couldn't pierce it's metal skin.

You could have a member of a branch of the Tohno clan trying to deal with anything from another demonblooded family causing issues, to some scrub Dead Apostle trying to move into town, to Tatari itself. You could have a hidden war between the Church and the Mage Association. You could have it while they are fighting a Dead Apostle Ancestor who has turned half the humans in a certain area into Zombies and is keeping the surviving half hostage, with the MC actually giving a fuck about saving lives and trying to make contacts with the few people in each group that actually gives a fuck about that as well. You could play a Magus with some strange familiar turned conceptual weapon, and be sent on an expedition to South America to find out why, exactly, all the people who try to scout around a certain cavernous area never come back.

One thing i like about Noble Phantasms and Servant Skills are the absolutely extravagant descriptions and names.

For example if Qin Shi Huang (1st chinese emperor, known for the great wall) was a servant he would a skill named after his role in building the great wall like

Going to attempt a touch-up of Baron Samedi.

Baron Samedi
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Strength: E
Endurance: E
Agility: C (C rank agility is a requirement for caster)
Mana: A
Luck: B

Special Ability - Friends on the Other Side (Voodoo Magic): Baron Samedi's magic is particularly oriented towards control of dark spirits, loa and the boundaries of life or death. Through his magic, the Baron is able to summon spirits, bind spirits to bodies and he's capable of powerful restorative magic or debilitating curses. Treat any defensive magic that Baron Samedi performs relating to his voodoo knowledge as B rank thaumaturgy. Treat offensive voodoo magic as C rank thaumaturgy. Treat any magic used from outside his regular domains as D rank thaumaturgy.

Noble Phantasm: Things I Haven't Even Tried (D - A++ Anti-Person)
The Baron is a master at sympathetic magic. Items and knowledge he possesses of the target of his magic increase his magical potency. This Noble Phantasm can cause Baron Samedi's thaumaturgy to increase in rank based on how much knowledge he has about them or any items he has of theirs, a common item or a servants true name would cause all his magic to go up by one rank, a vial of blood - two ranks, stealing a noble phantasm or an artifact related to that hero's legend would cause all his magic to go up by 4 ranks, up to a maximum of A++.

1/2
>>
>>19668533
Noble Phantasm: I Am You (A)
The Baron is really just the true spirit of Baron Samedi acting through the spirit of the human most like him upon summoning, the spirit is not Samedi, but Samedi acts through it. The Master retains all access to noble phantasms that Samedi possesses, and full use of all of his powers for as long as Samedi is "riding" him.

Parameters:

Territory Creation : B - Samedi can create a workshop (where he more easily casts curses, summons spirits and works his voodoo).
Charisma : A - Samedi is a ruler of spirits, this skill downgrades one rank when interacting with non-spirit entities.

I wanted to give something that speeds up his magic relating to voodoo in combat. There's potentially more parameters that could be applied but I don't really want to scour or clutter up too bad.

I don't know why you all don't realize that the best Caster is and will always be Isaac Newton. Or it can be used as letting them think that they took out Caster when instead he's just fine and you can just lay low.

Also while the Master losing free will seems bad it isn't going to be the nasty sort of possession. The worst he'll probably do is deal with the current threat and then go out, hit on women, drink rum, smoke cigars, cause a bit of mayhem and eat some gumbo.

Also, you guys might want to take a look at this for reference in already existing servant skills

You know I've been wondering, what would happen if a Master and Servant decided to high tail it and fuck off from the war? Of course that would mean they find each other's wish or something like that but can something like that be feasible?
>>
>>19668696
The Servant would eventually fade out since they run on their Master's mana, and they take a huge amounts of it to just exist
>>
>>19668696
Magical leylines in the area of the HGW are required to mostly sustain the servant, and the holy grail war does have a time-line.

Really their best hope is to win and have the servant win and wish for incarnation (a thing that a lot of the hero's wanted to do).
>>
>>19668738
time limit***

If you're not near a strong magical leyline its going to be incredibly draining to sustain your servant in physical form for a very long time. It might be possible to travel with them for a bit, but it will be pretty draining on you if you get too far away from strong areas of magic.
>>
>>19668696
Well, if you don't straight up abandon your command seals to the church executor and try to hightail it out of there? I think both the Church and the Mage Association would start hunting you.

And yes, both have people very capable of taking on Servants by themselves. Except they won't do it by themselves.

Basically, imagine Ciel(Immortal), Kotomine Kirei(young) and Kiritsigu(Avalon) working together to waste you. That is the minimum amount of fucked you are, because on top of that there's a Bounty on your head, with a Command Seal awarded to any Master that takes you down.

>Military tactics: A

Noble Phantasms:

Class Abilities
Territory Creation: B
Item Construction: B

Noble Phantasm
Accolon
Rank: E-A++
Morgan le Fay steals an enemy's weapon, shield, armor, or accessory type Noble Phantasm and replaces it with a mundane replica. Only Noble Phantasm's whose name is known may be stolen, and only one Noble Phantasm may be stolen at a time. The change happens without anyone being aware except for Morgan until the phantasm is invoked, at which point the fake one breaks. The only way to retrieve the phantasm is to either take it back from Morgan or kill her.

Mark of the Green Knight
Rank: A+
Transforms a willing target into the Green Knight. If the subject is a human, they gain the physical abilities of a servant, granting them Strength B, Agility D, and Endurance C. If the target is already a servant, all of their physical parameters improved by one rank. While in the guise of the Green Knight, the target gains A+ regeneration, healing any damage received from attacks of a lesser rank in a matter of seconds. Morgan receives three temporary command seals with which to control or augment the Green Knight the first time this phantasm is used (these command seals can be overridden by her master's command seals). The target remains as the Green Knight until Morgan removes the mark or uses all of her command seals. Once all of the command seals are used, this phantasm becomes sealed and unable to be used for the remainder of the war. Only one target may be marked as the Green Knight at a time, and it cannot be used on Morgan herself.

Martial arts anon here. I would disagree. His movies made him famous, but in the martial arts community he's revered for his writing and teachings regarding Jeet Kune Do and his emphasis on discarding tradition to focus on what works. Even without the movies he'd be viewed as one of the most influential martial artists of the 20th century, the movies just mean he's well-known among casuals as well.

I look up to the man as a role model and an ideal to strive for and I don't even like his movies.

The series focuses on EPIC LEGENDS OF HISTORY, and I don't think hand-to-hand martial arts really came into their own until the last century or so. There were older traditions and techniques focusing on empty hand, but those were never embraced like weapon use was.

I think an alternate version of the Grail War focusing on hand-to-hand combatants may be interesting. Bruce Lee, Jigoro Kano, Li Shu Wen, Morihei Ueshiba, Muhammad Ali, Jack Dempsey and Mas Oyama BATTLE FOR THE GRAIL.

Please remember that your legend has to be at least 200 years old to be part of the grail war, and a few of those you've selected are *entertainers*, not really figures of myth.

Furthermore, it is explicitly stated that 'humanity' is a limited resource in nasuverse, that means that the people who were around when there was only a couple hundred thousand - a million people or so were the definition of humanity and figures so much larger than life that we'll likely never see anything like them again, unless someone does something like what gilgamesh planned and wipes out ~ 6.5 billion people. Humanities essence is literally so diluted that it is almost impossible for a person to *be* so much larger than life anymore that they could be a hero.

Guns severely mitigate your chances at being a 'hero', and the grail has *factually* not selected a hero in the last 200 years, except for EMIYA, and FSN is a lot about how he is the *only* hero to have arisen from man in the last 200 years.

What about benkei? What about son wukong? What about wong fei hung? What about gilgamesh and enkidu? What about Bodhidharma?! there are MANY legends that used martial arts.

Europe wasn't the center for EPIC LEGENDS OF HISTORY for the whole world. And even in European myths, there are many legends that had such things as bare-handed combat.

Wrestling has been a mainstay in history since people had hands.

This series is awful, why are you getting so fannish about it?
>>
>>19671001
Yeah and Nasuverse people in the past could shoot laser beams with their swords and their Servant forms are actually weaker.
The entire system is fucking retarded. It would make a lot more sense for the servants to be larger-than-life versions of real/fictional people, based on the Myths surrounding them, but balanced against each other. The whole contest would make a lot more sense with that.
(And yes, I know, it's actually about some weird magical root-thingy... Nasu is a retard)

>This is [opinion] why do you like it?
Because it is [opinion].
>>
>>19671001

Those were literally like the first seven dudes noted for punching that came to mind. And an all-brawler Holy Grail war would be pretty far off the rails from Nasuverse canon anyway, I figured I'd take liberties.

>>19671003

I was trying to avoid mythological figures, just for preference. I like Wong Fei Hung a lot, though I'm less familiar with Hung Gar than I am the styles of the other practitioners I mentioned. If I tried doing a quest thread or something out of this I'd have to do some research.

Are there any notable pankration practitioners in hsitory who aren't mythological? I know off the top of my head Plato was a wrestler before he became a philosopher (apparently Plato was his wrestling name.) It would be hilarious if he were summoned, everyone assumes he's going to use some mind control/oratory based power and then he MUSCLE WIZARDS someone through a building.

>Arjuna
>Alignment: Lawful Good
>Strength: C
>Endurance: D
>Agility: C
>Mana: C
>Noble Phantasm: C to A
>Luck: B

>Noble Phantasm:
>Rank C++-- Gandiva: The Invincible Bow of Victory
>The bow given to Arjuna by Indra, it comes with a quiver of infinite arrows and lets Arjuna fire his other two Phantasms. The twang of the bow has a sound like the cracking of thunder, so while it gives the arrows piercing power, it makes stealthy shooting harder.

>Rank B-- Vajra: The Diamond Thunderbolt of Heaven
>Once every three days, Arjuna may invoke Indra's name in a prayer. The result is that the next arrow Arjuna fires becomes an extremely fast attack that can penetrate any defense: as fast as lightning, as strong as diamond. However, Arjuna must keep the arrow on the string for five seconds before it can be launched as a Vajra shot.

>Rank A-- Brahmashira: Oh Brahma, Sunder the Earth
>Once each week, Arjuna can pray to Brahma to use this weapon, which is a single, powerful prana-charged shot that creates an explosion comparable to a bomb. Like Karna's version of the Phantasm, it can only be used on those with weaker abilities than himself. It also can't be supercharged with prana, and drains a lot of his prana.

Whole bunch of potential systems could be used. Some have recommended fate, others have recommended world of darkness, the list goes on.

As far as the stats? Nasu apparently based FSN off of the transcripts of a few games he had played on tabletop with a semi-homebrew system IIRC.
>>
>>19671109
Arjuna has the special abilities:
> Independent Action: B- Allows Arjuna to operate without a Master for three days.
> Divinity: A- As the son of Indra and having joined his brothers in the heavens after death, Arjuna has the highest rank in this attribute, like his half-brother Karna.
> Riding: A- Qualifies Arjuna for Rider class.
> Magic Resistance: C
> Eternal Arms Mastership: B- Prevents degradation of fighting skills when under the effect of mental hindrance. Arjuna's rank in this is lower since Karna is thought of as the superior warrior, though Arjuna is still the better archer.

A side note: Gandiva can be taken apart to create two golden curved blades: to ready the bow, the ends of the blades' hilts are attached to each other.

Remaking Pale Rider and Patient Zero.

>Rider: Patient Zero/The Pale Rider, the first bringer of sickness and the epidemic he unwittingly unleashed on his community. Their names have been lost to history and they now only serve as personifications of the devastating power of disease.
>Strength: E
>Endurance: C
>Agility: E
>Mana: A
>Phantasm: C to EX
>Luck: E

1/2
>>
>>19671424
>Noble Phantasms:
>Rank B++: Miasma-- The Air that Brings The Stench of Death
Patient Zero can exude a mist from its mouth that brings with it the stink of disease. Anyone who breathes this in will be afflicted with its effects: normal humans will die painfully, while Magi will receive constant damage. Servants receive a Rank Down in Endurance.

>Rank C++: Infection-- The Spreading Sickness
Patient Zero can inflict sickness on people simply by touching them with one hand. Used on a normal person, it renders that person comatose and susceptible to Rider's possession, while Magi will receive constant damage for a certain period of time and Servants will be momentarily stunned (as they get overwhelmed by nausea) and receive a Rank Down in Endurance. Can only be used at point-blank range.

2/4
>>
>>19671429
>Rank C: Incubation Period-- The Hidden Vector
The Pale Rider can move into any body rendered comatose by Touch of Death. This kills its current vessel and the new body, but in 24 hours it transforms its new body into a perfect copy of Patient Zero-- unless it is intercepted or the host is killed before it is fully transformed, in which case the Pale Rider appears in its true form, a shapeless black cloud. While outside of a host, the Pale Rider is completely vulnerable.

>Rank EX: The Walking Dead-- The Dead Are Without Number
Emerging from Patient Zero (and killing him), the Pale Rider splits its essence to create a horde of walking corpses, Rank E Servants with the Infection Noble Phantasm, except that its downgrade to E means it can only spread the infection via contact of infected fluids with mucous membranes, like a bite. He can fuse these corpses together to create more powerful Servants. A "zombie apocalypse" type of Noble Phantasm, it is more useful with a constant source of bodies, like a hospital. However, killing all of the corpses created with this will permanently kill the Pale Rider.

Pale Rider (and Patient Zero by extension) have the following abilities:

>Riding: A-- Pale Rider can infect animals as well as people. Vehicles, on the other hand... it lets Patient Zero handle them.

>Bloated Endurance: C-- Patient Zero is extremely resistant to pain due to being essentially a walking, disease-ridden corpse. Raises Endurance by one rank.

>Self-Modification: A-- The Pale Rider twists its subjects' looks so they become proper avatars of Pestilence.

>Mental Pollution: EX-- Pale Rider is so utterly inhuman that it essentially shuts out almost all attempts at magical interference by sheer dint of being an eldritch entity and by Patient Zero being brain-dead.

>Aura of Revulsion: EX-- The ability to cause disgust and nausea simply by being seen. Because disease and pollution are two of man's primal fears, Pale Rider and Patient Zero's rank in this skill is EX.

4/4
>>
>>19671475
Yeah, I may have overdone it a bit. Pale Rider makes the Fate/strange fake version look like the common cold.

But hey, now he's perfect BBEG material. And as soon as he appears every Servant and their Master are gonna open fire on him before it turns the Grail War into Fate/Stay Blackest Night.
>>
Question:
Why are absolutely *all* Servants equipped for warfare?
Shouldn't there be some Servants that don't know how to kill people? There's more than enough Myths about such figures, yet all Servants are completely okay with killing.
Hell, even the ones that could potentially be non-warriors are still killers...

>>
>>19671556
Because the idea is to win the war, and that means combat with other servants. Thus non-combatant servants don't get summoned.

The only possible exception I could see is summoning a caster servant that buffs the fuck out of their master and has their master do the fighting, but that was done in the 5th war with medea and sensei guy.

Knowing what Gilgamesh can do, yes. He and Enkidu are very, VERY powerful heroic spirits.

As for Perseus, he has about five phantasms. That shield, his sword, the flying sandals, the head of Medusa, and the helm of Hades. I'll get to work on it.
>>
>>19672476
Perseus
Class: Saber
Alignment: Chaotic Good?
Strength: B
Endurance: C
Agility: C
Mana: B
Luck: B

Skill: Divinity (B): Born of Zeus, King of the Gods, who conceived him in the form of a shower of gold. Kinky.

Noble Phantasm: Shield of Athena (B)
This shield eliminates the effects of mystic eyes, and reduces the effect of any energy based attack by one rank.

Noble Phantasm: Sandals of Hermes (A)
With this phantasm, Perseus moves as fast as the God of Messengers (Agility: A++), or fly for short periods of time

Noble Phantasm: Herpe - Blade of Many Cuts (D)
The sickle like sword that decapitated the monster Medusa. It seems to strike from many angles. In reality, it attacks through a portal.

Noble Phantasm: Helm of Hades (A)
Possibly the most powerful phantasm in his armory. Renders the user undetectable to any form of detection. Even the most powerful mystic eyes cannot see through this gift of the god of the dead. Grants Presence Concealment (EX).

Noble Phantasm: Head of Medusa (C)
Petrifies those who gaze into its eyes. Can be resisted with a Magic Resistance of C or higher, and has no effect on someone who has already seen it.
>>

I think Perseus would be more of a Lancer, since Harpe seems to be depicted as a spear.

And EX concealment? There needs to be a condition to negate the concealment. Also, Athena's shield is called the Aegis.

You are aware that only one Route of F/SN is actually canon and that most of Atraxia isn't considered canon at all? I'm really trying to understand your opinion from a logical point of view but it just seems to me like "I HATE IT BECAUSE IT IS DIFFERENT!".

>Hence why it can be safely ignored.
No, that's not really an explanation why someone should ignore it.

>And that's why I ignore it
No, really. I don't understand. Why do you ignore it? Because it uses another Grail-System? Does it make the Ideas the had for Servants any less interesting? Or the characters?

No it doesnt.

I ignore it because it's an alternate universe depiction of only a single facet of the Nasuverse. Sure, Zelretch dickery says it exists canonically. And I DO like some bits of it. EGO depicted Jack as a well dressed Victorian Era man. Who just happened to want to carve you up like a turkey. Loli-Jack is a great concept, really creepy, but the outfit is just... wrong for her in my opinion. It should have been maybe a suit, or a Victorian era dress.

Julie D'Aubigny

>Saber/Berserker

>Mana: B
>Luck: A+

Julie D'Aubigny qualifies for Saber or Berserker class

>Mad Enchancement - Only as a Berserker.

>Noble Phantasm - Audacity
D'Aubigny does not have a weapon noble phantasm, but rather one based on her own audacity. The more difficult a task is, the easier it is for her to achieve it. Ergo, any negative penalties she should take instead become positive.

>Noble Phantasm - False Magic
D'Aubigny more famous roles was that as the Magician in Henri Desmaret's Didon. As such, she can use magic as a Caster class with the Mana stat one rank lower.

>Noble Phantasm - Enchanting Voice
D'Aubigny had a famously enchanting voice, used in both her opera and in her... dalliances. When she uses the power of her voice, all attention comes to her and as long as she remains singing, everyone suffers a Rank reduction to combat stats.

Eh. She's probably too powerful.

Because neither the Throne of Heroes nor the Alaya would accept it as a Heroic Spirit in the first place? And Angra Mainyu is already All the Worlds Evil, Pale Rider can't touch that. Literally. Pale Rider would get turned back into Prana. And even if it was somehow shoehorned in, which would be bloody difficult since the Einzberns aren't alive to make such bad decisions and have the needed knowledge to manipulate the Grail system as such? Then whatever continent Pale Rider is in would get Counter Force'd. Not Guardian, Force. As in no more continent.

But Nasu already wrote a setting almost similar to Blackest Night. It's called the Land of Steel. Except it revolves around the last few years in the life of the last human living on Earth after the death of the planet itself, and the evolved humans struggle to fight off the beings that humans tried to comprehend as "Gods" but failed because humans simply could not fathom the scale of their "Existence".
>>
>>19672736

>>19672713
>>
>>19672818

>>19672811
Well, I figured since she developed the Magician role in Didon, making her Caster-lite wouldn't be too much of a problem, though you're probably right. She probably does need a fencing technique. Though, that could be covered by Audacity. If she picks up a straight wooden stick, she could probably use it as a weapon.
>>
>Noble Phantasm: Head of Medusa (C)
So, what would happen if Perseus meets Medusa in the War?
>>
>>19672811
Perseus has been statted in the past, and holds the record for most NPs.

Harpe is depicted as a Spear, as it shows up in the Gate of Babylon and the database in /Stay Night, and has the canon class "Rider".

The Sheild actually returns Mystic Eyes effects as a reflection instead of outright disabling them.

Otherwise seems alright.
>>
>>19672831
So... basically Cthulhu arrived and killed Earth?
>>19672818
Again. Accomplished duelist. Mind you, the phantasms he gave her don't really scream Saber. I'd drop the one that makes her like a Caster, and replace it with one that gives her a fencing technique. I read somewhere that there was supposedly a mythical strike that would kill someone instantly, and was often tried by duelists. Or something. It's been a while, I don't remember what it was called.
>>
>>19672859
She hates the shit out of him.

>Rider claims that she disliked Perseus and the fact that he was the one who killed her, calling him a brat, and felt no sympathy for him even though it could be said he was also a victim of the gods. He later became a great hero, but she describes him as a "successful Shinji Matou."

Actually, all routes of F/SN as well as Atraxia are canon. So, for that matter, is F/E.

But if you think the differences between the various routes of FSN (which are all essentially set in the same setting as Turkeyhandle and F/A) are equivalent to a setting where magic stopped working in the 70s, you're fucking retarded. Even KnK has more in common.
>>
>>19672876

Probably Cappo Ferro's lunge.

And that would be yet another great Servant. And you can drop False Magic for Elegant Duellist, I suppose.

1.) That's not really well defined. I'd guess from what I know,
A: Not being ever discovered. Having an alias is fine. It's just you were never caught while killing people.
B: Having some sort of trade mark way of killing. This for the Hassassins always became Zabaniya. But each Zabaniya is different for each Hassassin.
2.) No. I'd guess he was a mage in the Nasuverse. So I guess he could be summoned as Caster or Assassin.

I don't mind it so much.

As a GM, it basically allows you to have a wild card servant who can do whatever you fucking please.
>>
>>19672869
Ah. OK.
Re-statted then.
Perseus
Class: Rider
Alignment: Chaotic Good?
Strength: B
Endurance: C
Agility: C
Mana: B
Luck: B

Skill: Divinity (B): Born of Zeus, King of the Gods, who conceived him in the form of a shower of gold. Kinky.

Noble Phantasm: Aegis - Shield of Athena (B)
This shield returns the effects of mystic eyes back on their user, and reduces the effect of any energy based attack by one rank.

Noble Phantasm: Sandals of Hermes (A)
With this phantasm, Perseus moves as fast as the God of Messengers (Agility: A++), or fly for short periods of time

Noble Phantasm: Harpe - Blade of Many Cuts (B)
The scythe like spear that decapitated the monster Medusa. It seems to strike from many angles. In reality, it attacks through a portal. It bypasses any divine protection.

Noble Phantasm: Helm of Hades (A)
Possibly the most powerful phantasm in his armory. Renders the user undetectable to any form of detection. Even the most powerful mystic eyes cannot see through this gift of the god of the dead. Grants Presence Concealment (EX) for a short time the first time it is used. Afterwords, it only grants invisibility.

Noble Phantasm: Head of Medusa (C)
Petrifies those who gaze into its eyes. Can be resisted with a Magic Resistance of C or higher, and has no effect on someone who has already seen it.

>1. What is it that qualifies someone for the Assassin class?
The "Thing" with the Assassin class is you're not supposed to know about any of the truly great assassins, which complicates things. As a rule, Assassin is always one of the Hashashin, by virtue of their organization being known and echoing throughout history.

It is possible to summon a non-Hashashin Assassin, but only under very, very unusual circumstances.

Julie D'Aubigny

>Saber
>Alignment: Chaotic Good
>Strength: C+
>Endurance: C
>Agility: A
>Mana: B
>Luck: A+

>Noble Phantasm - Audacity (A)
D'Aubigny does not have a weapon noble phantasm, but rather one based on her own audacity. The more difficult a task is, the easier it is for her to achieve it. Ergo, any negative penalties she should take instead become positive.

>Noble Phantasm - Elegant Duellist (B)
With a single handed weapon, count D'Aubigny's Strength and Agility as one rank higher

>Noble Phantasm - Enchanting Voice (B)
D'Aubigny had a famously enchanting voice, used in both her opera and in her... dalliances. When she uses the power of her voice, all attention comes to her and as long as she remains singing, everyone suffers a Rank reduction to combat stats.

Restatted L'aupin with the correct NPs this time. Not sure if good. Somone better then me take a look?
>>
>>19672993
Good examples of possible non-Hassassin Assassins are famous uncaught serial killers, like the Zodiac Killer and Jack the Ripper.
>>19672979
Again, that luck should be A.
>>
>>19672993

Like if you managed to get one of the original 30 pieces of silver, you could theoretically summon Judas as an assassin class?
>>
>>19673006
I'd drop her Endurace down to E, and make Audacity a Skill rather than a Noble Phantasm. Otherwise, that's pretty close to how I see her statted out.
>>
So to anyone who ever read the D'Artagnan trilogy which of the main characters were the most skilled on the sword?
I know that Porthos was strong as fuck, but that's how far my knowledge for the series go
>>
>>19672669
Not that guy, but note:

It's set on the Moon in an alternate reality where magic has died off and spells are actually ".exe"s. The difference between the Extra timeline and the different routes of Stay Night is much larger than the difference between the routes themselves. It can't be used to make arguments about the setting.

Secondly, the Servants are summoned using a different system. They're copies made by the Moon, not heroic spirits. Also, the Servant's abilities are constrained/amplified by the game systems. Archer, for example, is forced to fight at close range and is limited to three NPs rather than the huge range he's meant to have in the VN, but he's balanced so he can defeat everyone (apart from Invulnerable Gawain) in a fair fight. Similarly, Saber can rise from the dead as a skill, not even an NP, as can Berserker. The game can't be used to judge Servant's existance or power.

In general, nothing from Extra applies to arguments about other parts of the Fate franchise. You're pretty safe to ignore it.
>>
>>19673020
Nope. Judas Iscariot isn't really an Assassin. Too well known. He would however, be a perfect Avenger, and likely qualifies for Berserker as he committed suicide out of grief. Note that one of his Phantasms would have to be a knife. Why? Iscariot means Curved Dagger.

I thought Robin couldn't do his full power because his master blocked his power so he could have an honourable fight

Well, almost. Humans killed Earth, and in it's death throes it called to the other planets for aid. The other planets sent their Types, their Ultimate forms of life made to be able to crush all other lifeforms on a planet, to Earth, because while the death of the planet itself is not unforgivable, the Earth's children outliving the planet itself is not acceptable. The only missing Type is ArcheType:Earth which is Arcueid, who I think decided to just fuck off from Earth after Shiki dies, and just sleeps in the moon, having failed her original reason to exist on the Earth in the first place, which was to keep the Earth alive via killing off humanity before humanity could kill off the Earth.

Arc's route was rather more of an awkward romance than it needed to be, the more I think about it. Extra Caster was much more fun, despite being a liar.

I'd like some feedback on Pale Rider/Patient Zero (with nerfs taken into consideration). I feel he may be a bit too OP.

Would Harriet Tubman count? She was sneaky as hell and I find it hard to believe she didn't kill at least some of her pursuers.

I hate to be the kind of guy to call attention to his own posts, but any feedback on this build?

Being the concept of disease is pretty OP already. He's good as is. He's not Gilgamesh level of Hax, but he's pretty fucking close. Actually, has Cain ever been statted out for the war?
>>
>>19673107
I'd say no, as she's too famous to be an Assassin. Sorry.
>>19673114
Less crazy magical than a Caster should be in my opinion, but still pretty damn good.
>>
>>19673060
Robin is banned from using dirty tricks, yes. I was talking about the playable Archer. He can't fight at range any more than Saber.
>>
>People still using Shirou's stat based system
>LaughingRin.jpg
Remember when Rin first unlocks your ability to see Stats in Fate and says that everyone sees them differently?
>>
>>19673138
I had considered giving him a reality marble based on the idea of the collective unconscious, but I tend to be more conservative in my stating, so I nixed it.

I guess for my part I find a limited but specialized Grail War more interesting than an overblown hax one, though that's good too.
>>
>>19673103
How would the Throne of Heroes accept such a non-heroic person in the first place? Angra Mainyu was killed to consume All the Worlds Evil, and had to have Einzbern hacking the Grail to summon, but Patient Zero just sorta spread plague and died.
>>
>>19673138
Wait, didn't Sasaki Kojiro qualify? I know he was a fake Assassin, and in reality just some really badass farmer, but shouldn't there be something he shares with the Hassans?

Or was he just calling himself Assassin because Caster told him to. Honestly, It's been tear since I read the story.
>>
>>19673202
Yeah, but Shirou's system is all we have to go on.
>>19673208
I wouldn't go with a reality marble. I'd go with a straight up phantasm that summons heroic archetypes as Rank C Servants.
>>19668951
We've already got an El Cid statted up. I'll post it in a second.
>>
>>19673248
he was forced into the class
>>
>>19673202
I do. Only real thing we have to go by, though. Not terribly helpful to say his strength is owl.
>>
>>19673248
That was Caster hacking the grail. He's Fake for a reason.
>>
>>19673251
>I wouldn't go with a reality marble. I'd go with a straight up phantasm that summons heroic archetypes as Rank C Servants.
That's not a half-bad idea. I'll fiddle around with him a bit, and next time there's a thread dump his new stats.
>>
>>19672993
Would Altair count as member of the order?
Technically, he isn't, but then again in fictional world he is.
>>
>>19673218
What you're really summoning is Patient Zero. The Pale Rider comes with him.
>>
>>19673327
And you would get Patient Zero in the Throne of Heroes... how?

I'm not saying it's impossible, but it could either be a wondrous plot hook that makes the game if done well, or a fatal plothole that destroys it if not properly explained.
>>
>>19673318
He WOULD actually, as he was never caught, and is really all and all, unknown except to a specific few, just like the Hassans.

Altair
Class: Assassin
Alignment: True Neutral
STR: C
END: D
AGI: B
MANA: C
LUCK: C+
Ability: Mental Pollution (C)
Altair's devotion to the Creed is such that little clouds his mind.
Ability: Vision of the Eagles (A)
Altair sees the world in a very unique way. These mystic eyes tell friend from foe.
Ability: Presence Concealment (A): Altair was never discovered or found out during his lifetime as an hassassin.

Noble Phantasm: Zabanyia - The Piece of Eden (A)
Altair's greatest weapon. Capable of bringing entire armies to his side, or melting the mind of lesser men. This Phantasm forces opponents to make a Luck check to resist it, and if failed, become either his to command, or kill themselves in an attempt to escape out of the sheer mindblowing power of the artifact. Even those uneffected are filled with an overwelming sense of fear of the Assassin.
>>
>>19673387
He is notable as the first plague carrier. He wiped out his entire city, watching as he and his friends wasted away into nothing.
>>
>>19673476
Right, but part of being in the Throne of Heroes is that the person must be considered a Hero by the collective subconscious of humanity. It's not just being well known. It has to be both.
>>
>>19673511
Well, subconciously, the city blamed him for their deaths. He's an anti-hero, like Angry Manjew.
>>19673251
Finally got the stats
>>19673251
El Cid
Rider
STR: C
END: D (With Exception: See Valencia Heart)
AGI: B
MAN: B
LUK: E
Noble Phantasm: Babeica
Rank: B
Type: Anti-Army
A horse of perfect breeding and loyalty. Babeica can be summoned at any time by El Cid, regardless of surroundings, the horse will always arrive healthy and intact. While riding Babeica, El Cid cannot be stopped by barriers of any sort - magical, physical, or martial (such as armies). However, it has the stamina of a mundane, if perfect horse, and thus cannot run forever.

Noble Phantasm: Army From Nothing
Rank: A
Type: Anti-Army
Possessing great charisma and ability of leadership, El Cid can draw men into battle seemingly with disregard to context. Individuals are drawn to his prescence, and are granted weapons and armor from a Reality Marble that does not manifest externally, holding 'the equipment an army needs'. Those who weild these sub-Phantasms and wear his armor become lesser Servants, with no noble phantasms of their own and Rank E abilities.

Noble Phantasm: Tizon
Rank: C
Type: Anti-Unit
A sword imbued with fire. Said to inspire fear in others, which manifests as a simple spell that most magically-resistant Servants can dispel. However, on normal humans and Masters, it might cause them to flee.

Shouldn't it also include the ability to create new technology based on the piece of Eden? It does contain knowledge, after all.
...But that would be kinda weird. Especially with the fact that there's a map that shows the other pieces.

Also, what about his blade? It's a lot more sturdy than it has any right to be, so it could count as NP. It's his iconic weapon, after all.

Synchronization in the game showed how much you copied Altair's life... Trying to swim or getting hurt would lower synchronization. He also never took falling damage from heystacks.
Would it make sense to factor in these things?

Noble Phantasm: Colada
Rank: D
Type: Anti-Unit
An 'untouchable' sword. Said to possess the ability to never erode, break, or become dirty. Similar to Tizon's fear ability, Colada is imbued with the same - though this one works over a much wider area, for Colada shines even in the darkest night.

Noble Phantasm: Valencia Heart
Rank: B
If El Cid's heart is peirced and the blow is lethal, El Cid does not dissipate. His body becomes incapable of action, but his army grows in strength, becoming C-Rank in all attributes and weilding E-rank sword-shaped Noble Phantasms with no special abilities. To anyone in the army, El Cid persists as a powerful illusion, leading his men from atop his horse.
>>
>>19673545
Angra Mainyu was killed to seal All the Worlds Evil. He's basically proto-Jesus, without the divinity. And once again, he had to have the Einzberns hacking the Grail in the third war to get summoned.

So, potential for amazing plothooks, since this is definitely not a Servant that would naturally appear from the Grail.
>>
>>19673511
Once angry manjew corrupted the grail you could summon antiheroes as well. That's how Medea got summoned.

Patient Zero is still pretty much a no go but whatever.

Releasing a simple Achilles and Myrmidons

Achilles (Berserker, Rider)

>Achilles' Heel, the death of heroes
The very concept of weakness is tied to Achilles' Legend. Prana and stats are slowly drained near him, eventually granting him the edge in combat if his natural talent did not provide it already.

>Achilles' Chariot, the rattle of grief
Pulled by two immortal horses, this is the chariot that dragged Hector, embodying the grief of war. The chariot forces a repeated flight response in its presence, diminishing over time. It nullifies damage by attacks or Noble Phantasms that don't affect Fate/Luck. These qualities allow Achilles to hunt down his mark in battle.

The Myrmidons (Assassin)

>The Ant Men, endless march of warriors
The Myrmidons fame as unstoppable warriors, showing as their dark gear of legend. Nothing will diminish the drive or skill of a Myrmidon, thus weathering the effects of terrain, wounds or prana.

>Patroclus, the guise of a champion
Focusing their prana, one Myrmidon at a time may don a striking panoply, gaining one more rank in every stat while near his brothers. However, the fall of this champion will prompt the Myrmidons to withdraw, along with the noticeable depletion in their reserves.
>>
>>19673560
I guess you could include that. But remember, Zabaniya is a killing technique first, everything else second.

I'll make his hidden blade a phantasm. That's really part of his myth after all. The armor and sword I'm going to leave behind, as it's more his legacy than an actual part of his legend.

Noble Phantasm: Zanbanyia - The Hidden Blade (C)
The favored tool of Altair throughout his life, the hidden blade is a blade attached to the wrist, and can be deployed at will. Demanding total commitment from it's wielder, Altair sacrifices his ringfinger to use this weapon. Capable of punching through the strongest of armor, and resisting the mightiest of blows, yet small enough to slip through the gaps between the ribs with ease. Altair can use this weapon without breaking his Presence Concealment. Outside of Presence Concealment however, it's rank drops down to E, and it loses much of it's damaging properties.
>>
>>19673614
I thought Medea could be considered heroic, depending on which interpretation of her lore you read? Like one interpretation had her as an evil bitch, and another had her forced to kill her own children when they tried to kill her?
>>
>>19673623
Are there servant skills for interrogation and thrown weapons?

Two of Altairs important tools were punching information out of people and killing them with thrown knives.

Afaik there's a tracking skill, which would make sense for an assassin.
>>
>>19673676
>thrown knives.

Dark is a thrown weapon as 'fast as a bullet'.
>>
>>19672993
Following Fate/Apocrypha, Semiramis would qualify as either Caster or Assassin. I may be wrong (my memory of Semiramis' tale is very blurry), but wasn't part of her legend supposed to be that she committed the first assassination?

Also, Heracles was supposedly able to be any class except for Caster, which would suggest he *somehow* fits under Assassin. I haven't the foggiest how.

>>19673259
>>19673248
Pretty much - Caster messed with the system to summon him. Also, as I recall, the 'legend' of Sasaki Kojiro was sort of a mix of several different people, misrepresented as all having been the same man. If I have the details right, False Assassin was the wraith of one of those individuals - the one who developed Tsubame Gaeshi, but not the man who was in the duel.
>>
>>19673676
That's the Vision of the Eagles. He sees the world as though it were always in eagle vision. There is a throwing knife skill. I think it comes standard for the Hassans, though I could be wrong.
>>
>>19673676
>Projectile (Daggers

>Projectile (Daggers) (投擲(短刀), Tōteki (Tantō)?) is the expertise for throwing projectile weapons; in this case, daggers.

>B: Thrown projectile weapons are now comparable to bullets.
>>
>>19673698
Yeah, but he's likely also trained in mundanely searching for targets. I just guess that it would be weird for him not to be able to.
He doesn't have Ezio's eagle omniperception, after all.

The Medea presented in FSN is pretty explicitly non-heroic.

But if you want a more concrete example, F/Z Caster is about as unheroic as you can get.

True. Eagle vision is just taken to the utmost limits with him as a Heroic Spirit.

Fourth Caster wasn't such a bad guy until he saw his Holy Maiden get burned at the stake. Sadly, his legend only comes from buggering and murdering little children.

So, continuing in the thought of Patient Zero, I remembered one of Walachia's ravings about having "Saved" a village from disease by draining the blood from every villager, which made me wonder a bit about how Patient Zero could be hacked into the Grail War. Say he was driven to study the occult after the plague started, and in his search he was turned into a Dead Apostle after visiting said village, and later began to study Magecraft and Alchemy in an attempt to find a cure. Eventually he learned of the corruption of the Holy Grail, and began to seek it out in the hopes of curing Vampirism or other diseases, or even undoing the Black Plague entirely. Utilizing both his magecraft and a part of the grails corruption, he managed to gain the Command Seals, and with a conceptual weapon in the guise of a plague doctors mask, he managed to summon the Spirit of his own legend.

Now is that BBEG material or what?
>>
>>19674189
That is serious BBEG material man.
