(( Previous thread here http://archive.foolz.us/tg/thread/19892453/ . Continuing from last night, because now I have time, and people have asked.))

"Selling Abby into his service is a major no-no for me. Not without her consent at least. I offer myself as your guide for this world. There's several conditions though. 1: The contract with him starts AFTER we deal with Hund. He's our priority right now. If Armas wants to help out against him to ensure he gets his guide sooner, that's perfectly fine. 2: We want at least a week off after Hund has been dealt with to heal up and ensure our comrades are okay. 3: We agree with the geas not to act against you provided you don't act like a complete and utter asshole (ie: wanton slaughtering of innocents). We'll be your guide so long as you play by the rules most magi play by. You can't expect us to agree to following your orders and not to act against you if we don't know what it is you'll be ordering us to do."

(Cont.)
>>
"Alright, first, you're not what I'm looking for in a guide. You're too high profile, and too likely to bring your own trouble. Since you're not comfortable with dealing Abby in, how about this: Set me up with that introduction to Rin today, or tonight at the latest, and then you can go your own thing against Hund, whatever it is. I understand you still want that second set of healing, so instead of providing a guide, you'll provide the service of applying three geases to third parties for me. I pick the person and the restrictions. This should let me find my own guide, and make my own deal with them; you'd just be providing the insurance."
>>
>>19908627

This... actually seems highly reasonable.

If all we're doing is providing a simple service between him and whatever group HE wants to negotiate with, I can't see how it could hurt us, or anybody in our circle of friends.
>>
>>19908711
Same. I'm OK with that plan.

The archive borked and didn't save the last few posts of the previous thread. Here's a screencap.

>>19908627
And that nets us two extra doses of healing (on top of the one we already arranged for Abby)? Sounds like a pretty good deal, provided the third parties are consenting to the geases of their own free will.
>>
>>19908627

Sounds good. Just so long as we're not Geasing anyone to do something against their will.
>>
>>19908738

Its nets us one dose of healing. The third dose is for the "One free favor, no questions asked," deal.

Also, whether or not they're willing should really only matter if they're fellow mages. If we're geasing normal people... well, as long as he's not going to hurt them or get them killed I don't see the big deal. Mages manipulate muggles all the time. No harm, no foul.
>>
>>19908627
Introduction to Rin and geases in exchange for three portions of healing.
Sounds good.
If he tries to say that he'll provide only two healings for this, remind him that Abby's condition is his fault in the first place. What with attacking us without provocation and all.
>>
>>19908627
Sounds good, so long as these geases are consented to.
>>
>>19908764
>>19908768
I think we all should learn something from the clusterfuck: being a hero is suffering. We should care only about people close to us.
I don't relly see why we shouldn't geas people against their will as long as we don't know them.
>>
>>19908816
Good plan David. Once you become a god, then start caring about everyone. Otherwise, fuck'em. Friends and family first.
>>
>>19908816

I'm just saying let's not be a dick without reason. If we have to, we have to. If not, why add more weight to Young Master's conscience?
>>
I let out a sigh. Thank god, it's finally over.

"These terms I can agree with. There's some things I need to take care of before the day's out, but I'll get you in contact with Rin before the sun sets. As for those Geases, contact me when you need them. It's simple enough."

Armas nods, Smiling. He holds out his hand, and I shake it.

"...Interesting." Armas looks aside in thought, then at me. "So, who would be first?" he asks. "Don't worry, it doesn't hurt, or anything. I've been told by many people that rubbing my weasel is quite pleasurable."

I let my face fall into an unreadable look as I look to Lisa, who shrugs.
>>
>>19908838
Agree. But we are not a dick for the sake of being a dick. We may be a dick (not necessary) for the sake of easy healing.

Killing/enslaving people just because is wrong. Killing/enslaving them because it will help David and the ones he loves is A-OK.
>>
>>19908858
> I've been told by many people that rubbing my weasel is quite pleasurable."
Pffft. Go on man. Rub his weasel. Sounds legit.
>>
>>19908858
Lisa first, get her up to 100% ASAP. Then yourself. If you pass out from the pain or something, she can look after you.
>>
>>19908858
How long it takes?
Did we get three portions? Than it doesn't really matter.
Let Lisa go first if it doesn't take much time. Then yourself, then Abby.
Otherwise go to Abby first.
>>
>>19908858

Lisa first. Because you're all chivalrous and stuff, right Master?

THE WEASEL!

Just do it bro. Get yourself and your nun back to normal, then take him home so you can get your Gunner he hand back. Let us undo the horrors of this night.
>>
>>19908875
Killing/enslaving people because it will help David and the ones he loves is A-OK, but not if we haven't at least CONSIDERED alternative options. If the other options are too complicated/risky, then sure, kill/enslave away. But we ought to at least try to keep innocent people out of this if we possibly can.
>>
>>19908891
>>19908923

No, wait. David first, then Abby, then David can heal Lisa.
>>
"If either of you have piercings, take them out now. Unless you want them to be fused to you, that is. Some people are into that." Armas nods at us, and then says, "Alright Sake, do your thing," and the green muff of fur that had seemed like a collar to his jacket unwraps itself from his neck and flies to us: it's the wind weasel he had with him when we fought.

It shoots at Lisa, who takes a step back before the blur shoots into her collar. With a little cry she tries to pull him out, but he's too fast, dodging her attempts to grab him, despite the healing touch. After half a minute of this, the weasel pops out of her pant leg, leaving her stumbling and falling on her posterior. She looks a little disturbed. The weasel then flies over to me and slides into my collar - and I can /feel/ my arm coming back. I watch it with quiet awe, as feeling returns, and I flex my hand.

"The first time usually gives people nightmares." Armas says abruptly. "Anyway... that's it, that's the two heals we had deals for. Pleasure doing business, I'll give you a call or drop in on you or whatever when I need to cash in those geases. You're still worried about Abby? Fine, I'll promise I'll go talk to her and offer her a deal of her own, but besides that, you should remember that in the course of our negotiations here you pretty much already swore off any right you had to interfere on her behalf."

"But-"

"Don't worry - I'll cut a deal with her myself. Catch you later."

And he's gone.
>>
>>19909056
Limbs > Backs. Sorry, Lisa, but you can still wield a sword. Not us, I fear
>>
>>19909085

>>

Call Abby. Tell her about the guy.
Apologise for our slow reaction.
Seriously, I thought we've got three healings.
Well, whatever. What's done is done.
Hope he will be gone soon and not affect the story any more.
>>
>>19909109
Seconded. Just because we "can't interfere" won't mean our dear Mothers can't. Time to gather everyone up and figure out what to do
>>
>>19909085

"gave up our right to interfere with the negotiations?"

Like hell we did. I didn't see us make a promise anything like that.

Get to the hospital NOW, before he can. Get to Abby and make sure we are there before he manipulates her into anything.

God this guy is an asshole. We need to shove him off asap.
>>
Call Abby, tell him the guy who shot her is coming, how he helped you and he wants to make a deal with her to give her her hand back. Warn her that he's a shrewd motherfucker.

Call your moms, tell them you're fine for now but don't have time to explain the situation. Tell them all to meet you at the hospital. The rest of your harem is probably with them.

On the way there, try asking Lisa what she remembers from before the two of you were captured.

>>
>>19909241

This. And when we contact her, make it ABSOLUTELY CLEAR that its important she not agree to ANYTHING until we get there. I don't want him browbeating her into a seemingly reasonable agreement.
>>
I flip open my phone and call Abby. There's a quiet sound of happiness when she realizes it's me. I inform her of the situation, and she assures me - her uncle is there, and he won't take kindly to her being swindled. I nod, closing the phone. I still want to make sure she's okay, in person, so I direct the driver there next - and find everyone there ahead of me. Rachel and Stalla - who stand oddly close to one another - greet me with tight hugs. Mother hugs me, in her strange way, pulling my head into her shoulder. They send me up to Abby, who I also hug.

Armas arrives just after, and I feel a chill up my spine. He's dressed differently now - more businesslike than before, in a black suit - but he still has the orange tie. And a small avian head peeks out of it, only to hide back inside.

He Smiles that smile of his at me, and gently gestures for us to leave. Abby looks slightly intimidated.
>>
>>19909336

Ask him where he thinks we're going. Just because he declared us not to have the right to be there while he's negotiating with Abby doesn't mean we don't.

We never made a single statement in any of our negotiations which implied we were discarding our right to advise her in any dealings with him.

These. If he insists on the matter (threatening to not make a deal with Abby at all if you are present) then leave either your mother or Rachel as aids for negotiation. They're the people I'd trust the most to cut through his bullshit and end up with a fair deal.

He doesn't NEED to make a deal with Abby, he's just doing this because he likes her. If we force ourselves on him (no homo), he can just as easily turn tail and leave Abby handless.

"One moment."

I open the phone.

'Be careful. He is a master of his own soul. There is more to tell you, but it would likely interfere with your rationality. This is not a threat to handle here and now. Tread lightly.'

I snap it shut, and turn to Armas, who nods.

"Uh-uh, I know better than that. You saying you didn't want me to interfere in this negotiation heavily implies that you already have a price in mind to bring her hand back. So you tell us: what is it that you're after?"

"Glad you remembered how to negotiate. You weren't at your best with that were-matron. Just to be clear, I never said I didn't want you to participate, I pointed out that in each round of negotiation you'd been discarding more and more of your ability to speak for her. And that got you here, didn't it?"

"You didn't answer my question. What are you after?"

"What I'm after is pretty simple. I need a helper, one who can handle a rifle, who's a good shot, and who doesn't mind answering questions truthfully. I keep getting into situations where it'd be nice to have a friendly sniper performing overwatch. I'm not sure what you were thinking, but you didn't have her deployed properly when she was with you. Not really your fault, I'm guessing you've never had to play soldier before. I could probably teach you a thing or two about that sometime, but that'd be a different deal. If Abby doesn't want to work for me, then maybe you can offer up suggestions on other guns for hire I could get in touch with."

Why don't we start by asking for Abby's opinion on the subject, before we go off making deals for her, hmm?
>>
>>19909826
Seconded: the reason we were here was so that he wouldn't pitch something horrible that he glossed over as good, not to prevent her from making her own decisions.

Ask her, politely suggest that her Uncle or several others could also go in her place, if she wants to stay
>>
>>19909769
Ask Abby what she thinks of this arrangement, first of all. Her opinion is the most important one here. If she's having second thoughts, her uncle would be a good replacement since he's even more skilled at using a rifle than she is (I think).

At any rate, he shouldn't need her help long if Rin can put him through to Zelretch.

>Fucking word-plays.

Guns won't help you much if you don't know whom to shoot... Your deal with Hund, for example, was dangerous. You could've easily earn a displeasure of two powerful organizations and possibly more trouble than that. And when I say "trouble", I mean "inability to return home at all".
That's even without bringing Gaia.
What you need more than anything else right now is information and contacts. I've promised to introduce to to one magus, I can give you more of the same. Safehouse, information on major players around, what to avoid and so on.
If you still insist on a hired gun... Yes, that can be arranged. I should probably seek into hiring one of the magi killers myself, to be honest.

The very first thing we should do it turn to Abby, and let her know what went on at the last negotiation. Also make it clear that he's trying to use his little wordplay crap to turn her on us. I'm thinking something like this, preferably in a low voice so he can't hear.

"This isn't the first time he's made it clear he wants you working for him. He asked me to sign you up as his hired gun in exchange for a healing spell a little while ago. For some reason he almost seems desperate to get you on his side. Thats why he's trying to manipulate us right now.

She flushes heavily, staring at the sheets. Armas watches cooly, unremarking.

I then make my offer:
"Guns won't help you much if you don't know whom to shoot... Your deal with Hund, for example, was dangerous. You could've easily earn a displeasure of two powerful organizations and possibly more trouble than that. And when I say "trouble", I mean "inability to return home at all".

"So, you're offering an intelligence briefing on the major players in the region that is as complete and accurate as you can make it, introductions to other mages, and even a safehouse. Yes, that'll do nicely. Abby, if it's agreeable to you that David here provides these things in exchange for magic healing on your behalf, just say the word. Quick caveat, pull your IV needles and any piercings you might be wearing, unless you want the metal to fuse to you when we perform the healing ritual."

She nods, pulling the needles and a ear peircing out, holding out her stumped arm. I advise her to close her eyes.

Sake uncurls from Armas's shoulders, and slips under the covers. Abby lets out a soft squeak, her flace flushing even further as she squirms beneath the weasel's ministrations. In moments, the arm is back again, and Armas smiles at me.

"So. About that briefing."

>Briefing

To the Lakehouse! With everyone in tow, obviously. We can use the briefing to recap the situation as it stands, and to plan our next move.

As for our next move, I'm in favor of a less defensive posture. If we simply sit and wait, we face Hund on his terms, at the time of his choosing. If we take the offensive (which he won't expect), we throw a spanner in the works.
>>
>>19910072

And to the Lakehouse
>>
>>19910072
Check on Abby, first of all. She's probably fine, but we should at least show concern.

Let Eliza deal with Armas from here on out. She has all the info, as well as all the contacts and management of safehouses. She can put him through to Rin, as well. Tell them not to take too long, you have to prepare for Hund and you need your mom for that. If he has further questions later, he can always just call her cellphone.

Meanwhile, status-update on your harem. How is everyone doing, what happened that night after you were knocked out, that sort of thing.
>>
>>19910072

Pawn this Joker off on your mom. Tell him that she is stupidly important in the magical world, and that she'll have all the information about this world, important people in it, and all the safehouses he could possibly want.

Once thats done, head back home and have that Team Meeting with the girls (and possibly Donnie I guess?)

Let them know everything that happened, and that we have 48 hours to finish this.

THEN call Sakura, and ask her for that direct contact info for Rin that we need.

I call Mom and get him set up, then when I head outside, ask her what's the issue, and what she said.

"Let me be blunt, David. There's three things you need to know." she looks me in the eye. "You are not to fight this man unless I am nearby. His soul has been destroyed and rebuilt and split and sewn together and chewed and spit up in so many ways that it's practically a tesseract in a tesseract in a tesseract. It's stained, with cannibalism, with horrible acts. What we're talking about is a man who would, and likely has, done anything for immortality. He is like the worst of the Clock Tower." She frowns. "My magic is only barely capable of dealing with him. He does not operate on the assumptions of this world - and because of that, it's wise you're sending him to me."

I cough, clearing my throat a little. "Anyway. What happened at the landfill... I'm sorry. I acted rashly. I saved the firekeeper, but I nearly killed you. If it weren't for Lisa..." We meet up and hang up our phones. She hugs me tightly. "Momma messed up." she admits quietly. "I'll keep this Armas guy in line as best I can. You deal with Hund and your girls."

I round everyone up and head to the lakehouse. As soon as we get inside, I end up dogpiled by everyone but Lisa, who looks away, flushing deeply. Apparently they thought me for dead.

Donnie and his father emerge from the other room, along with...

With Donnie's mother, just as beautiful as I remember. But now her skin is far more pale, her eyes a bright red. Her hair is the same color. Donnie walks over to me, and before I can manage an apology, decks me across the face, sending me to the floor.

"There. Now we're even." he says, helping me up. "Everyone's okay but you. I wasn't able to shield you, being so far away." I grunt. "...Thanks. For... bringing Mom back. I can't even..."

His father stands next to me.
"What my fool boy is trying to say..." he says quietly, "Is that we're a family again. And my wife says it's thanks to you."

My mouth opens and closes as the Fire Keeper knowingly smiles behind them.

I run a prana surge through my body, and nothing strange happens. After getting Lisa to do the same, we can be sure there are no runes upon us.

So, now that Donnie and his family are back in their house, where should I go?

Donnie mentions a summer home not far off near the beach they aren't using.
>>
>>19910531
Summer house is fine then.
>>
>>19910531
That seems like a good place, ask for details on its defenses. We aren't moving right yet, but this house might get rather crowded if we stay. But for now we have briefing and planning to do.

Also call up your Aunt Sakura, we need information.
>>
>>19910531
Plan now, call Sakura. We can move out once we're sure we have the plan set and ready.
>>
>>19910531
oh, joy, we're moving again. And now we KNOW Hund is watching. I swear, he's even creepier than Thomas was, and Thomas saw Attie and Liz- oh, sorry. Right.
Well, we COULD go back home, see if there's anything else we can use, like maybe more familiars to aid in the information-gathering process. OR, we could go directly to that beach house, probably be attacked tomorrow or the day after, and have to defend a new position with little preparation.
I ask you other bobs to help, because while I can analyze, I'm not ht best decision maker or planner, as you can see.
>>
>>19910531
No runes?
Weird...
Does Hund has this big honor stick?
How did he survive for so long?
He had us... And then let us go just like this bringing us back to square one. To think and plot.
Does he try to prove himself to us or what?
I... I think he must be crazy.

As for new hideout...
What's with our own home?
Moms would be busy for awile anyway.
And there are bound to be some powerful wards with Third Magic and bad mojo around.
>>
>>19910531

>BEACH HOUSE

Fuck yeah.

Also, we have Abby, a top-tier mage with a family crest, so she can set up wards and defenses at our new house so we need not rely on just a dumb fire field.

Also, on the way out, tell Donnie thanks for the punch. Some shitty apology wouldn't have been good enough for such a dumb move.

... you know, I hope Night Swimmer Annie follows us to the beach. Skinny Dipping in the ocean is way kinkier.

Use the Car Ride to find out how Rachel's wolf training went.

Relocation sounds like a splendid idea. It would force the enemy to reconnoiter an entirely new area, as well as forcing him to split his forces more to keep his base and us covered at the same time. Also, because the ground is flat around the house, we can set up a killing ground with ease, and make the best use of everyone's talents.

And when he tries to recon the new house...we can pick off his scouts. Several less werewolves to deal with.

Hund expects us to stay here, or possibly our usual house. In my experience, it's generally a bad idea to do what the enemy expects you to do.
>>
>>19910531
Plan now, get in touch with Sakura and figure out what we need to know about Ether Clumps.

Let everyone know we plan to move out tomorrow-ish, and let's figure out what we know/think/can do about Hund's plans
>>

He's clearly crazy. His plan is totally insane and unworkable.

We should probably mention that stuff, by the way. His plan and all.

"Thanks, Donnie."

"No problem. Us bros gotta keep each other in line. And..." he pulls me close. "If you don't get laid before the end of all this you lose your man card. You are swimming in bitches."

I laugh, and slap him on the back as his father tosses me the keys.
"No wards there but what you set." he says. "Stay safe." I nod, and Donnie's father helps drive everyone to the place.

It's bigger than their normal home - three bedrooms, two baths, and a really large living room and kitchen. It sits high on a ledge overlooking the ocean, and the master bedroom has a window wall for an incredible view.

"Lots of memories here." Donnie's father says with a chuckle, before leaving me and the girls behind.

Who are looking to me expectantly.

First things first, we need to tell them about Hund's full-retard plan, and our time limit.

Ask Stalla if she thinks Hund is likely to leave us alone for the full 48 Hours. Ask her and Rachel how their training went. Ask Abby to put that badass magical genius/family crest to work and outfit the house with magical defenses. Ask Lisa to survey the area and give us a tactical assesment in event of a seige.

Ask Stalla in private if she feels comfortable taking our side in this. I know she's Geassed, but I think we deserve to hear what she thinks about going against her pack.

Ask Rachel in private how she's dealing with this, and if she thinks she can handle this kind of danger. We don't want to make her a soldier if she doesn't want to fight.

Last but not least, Call Sakura and get some intel.

>First things first, we need to tell them about Hund's full-retard plan, and our time limit.
This brings frowns to everyone, especially Lisa, who is loathe to have more werewolves running about.

Stalla knows Hund will keep his end of the deal, if he reneges, it will be seen as weakness.

Rachel admits some fright, but she also says she's not about to let me die. She's willing to fight, if it comes to that.

I call Sakura, and after she gushes about how rarely I call, she dives into the explanation of Ether clumps.

Essentially, they conduct Prana. What this means, exactly is two things: They are essential for potions, and they also double as wiring in magical constructions, like dolls of high caliber. In potions, they serve to keep the prana in the potion from evaporating. The more dense it is, the less it evaporates, the stronger the potion or consumable. Other than that, there isn't much she has to say.

David
Lisa
Abby
Rachel
Stalla
>>

Draw straws for it. If we don't get the couch/floor/worst option, offer to trade with the girl who does.

Worst case: she accepts and we just take the floor(no loss, as it should be if noone wants enoug to share)

Best case: she offers to share with us rather than trade, or another girl offers to let us share with her.

>>

OK, not the best draw.
Offer the empty bed to Abby and Rachel - no sence in not using it.

It will kinda negate the point of straws...
Ask if everyone is OK with this.
The draw is not a point in itself, just something fun that allow us to decide. No need to follow results striktly.

Fortify, Master. We gave suggestions in the IRC, but I'll restate them.

You need to find an arms dealer. Black market. We need mines, flares, flash-bangs, a pair of M-249 SAWs, lots of ammunition, and razor wire.

Get those, and we'll go from there.

Wards, wards, wards.
Go full smart fastwheels on the house.
Can you quikly get pure metals?
Anything will do. We need small, preferably sharp objects for Abby to create a cloud of death with your amplifier.

And ask her about protection she can set up in day or two. The more the better.
If you are not needed for this, go get ammo, create some familiars, get update on werewolf training and Stalla's status as a combatant.
>>

Sit everyone down and run through the plan

Possibly Abby's Uncle could get us some things. We order the supplies, set Stalla and Rachel together on patrol. We and Lisa will go out and set wards.

Thoughts?
>>
>>19911919
>>19911931

These basically.

We have to call up Mom and Abby's Uncle and any other contacts we have, and arrange to have supplies to physical foritification sent to us by covert means, so we don't have to risk going to get them ourselves.

Then, we take Stalla and Abby aside and start running around the grounds setting up magical defenses. Stalla can advise us on what kind of spells and traps and bounded fields would be best to use, what kind of magecraft we can expect the enemy to bring, etc. Abby and us can set the stuff up.

"Lisa, I need you to assess the area. Get me a report on all the strategic interest points."

She nods, picking up her weapon.

"Rachel, Stalla, I want you two to sniff around and check if anyone has arrived. We've been here for an hour, I want to be sure the area is secure."

Stalla nods, stripping on the spot as Rachel demurely walks out the door before turning into a car-sized silver hound. Stalla follows shortly, and prods her in the posterior with her snout, the two head down the hill. Which leaves me. I set up simple detection wards around the house, trying to occupy my mind. Right now, Hund is amassing all of his assets as I attempt to prepare. I have no idea what he's capable of, it scares me. But I have my friends, right? I don't need to do this on my own.

SHirou is another option I'd consider. He IS a dumbass, but he'd back us up fairly well. He, too, is loyal, and has a thing about saving people when they need it. If Hund is as OP as I think he is, having someone who is made of swords would be of benefit.

Even better would be all of these options. Shirou + Moms would be grand, assuming they all manage to work together.

Master, it's your choice as much as it is ours. Tactic is important as the rescent clusterfuck demonstrated. But so is personality.
With whom will you be most comfortable fighting?
>>
>>19912274

Here's my problem with Attie:

She can beat ANY werewolf one on one, there's no question.

But she can't beat any werewolf FAST.

It took her a long time just to take Stalla's leg. Her spear isn't a pure metal, so it has to rely on its effect to overwhelm regeneration.

I just think Shirou is better from a bodycount perspective. And this is Heaven's Feel shirou, so he won't balk at taking lives to save ours.

Shirou is technically the best choice. He's more fragile than Attie, but he's also capable of producing much, much more silvery death.

Remember, Comrade, we're playing a defensive game here. A single skilled soldier can hold a door indefinitely, and the reach of a spear is far greater than that of a sword. I pick up the phone and call Shirou.

He picks up on the first ring, commenting that Sakura has been a little worried since a recent call from Eliza, saying I might ask for help. He says he has two unkeyed Prana Engines. I tell him I'd be fine with him coming by tommorow, he agrees, and hangs up.

I call Atalanta next. She says she'd love to come by, and that she'll even bring biki-

At which point I cut her off and remind her of the stakes. She laughs, and says they are for AFTER what Hund sends. She's not an idiot. She says she'll be around soon, after giving her the address. I turn around, walking onto the balcony as I shoo away a crow, looking over the ocean. Lisa, Rachel, and Stalla seem to be having a minor argument of some sort, and Abby is working on her wards, wiping her brow. Lisa stalks off to talk to Abby, who... she then has an argument with, as well.

... What?
>>
>>19912434

His magical capability has been drastically reduced following the closing events of Heaven's Feel. He's not a supermage anymore.

Fellow Bobs: when we contact Abby's uncle, can't we inquire if he can get a silver-tipped spear as a backup weapon for Attie?

She wears down her opponent with her regular spear and then finishes the werewolf off with the silver one.

I reach out and crush the crow in my hand before it can get away, tossing it aside as I walk down to where they are.

"But it isn't right!" Lisa says to Abby and Rachel, Rachel rolling her entire head in annoyance.

"He can pick who he wants." Abby says. "You can't cut yourself out of the running - unless you've a good reason."

"But I do have a good reason..." she looks up at me as i approach. Stalla continues on. "David... I..."

"What is this about?" I ask.

"She doesn't think she's worthy of you." Rachel says, now adept at talking with her new maw. "Something about... What was it again?"

"I have to protect you. Protect as many as I can. And if I keep doing that... I'll die. That's okay, though." I watch her quietly. "Because I'm... Not important. I don't want you to be with someone who'll... be gone so soon." she says, her voice dropping into a mutter ahs she talks. Abby looks saddened by this, uncertain what to say.

"David, she won't listen to reason." Rachel says quietly, plodding up beside me. "I don't think she's in a good state, even for her."

Go to her, massive hug. Kiss, if appropriate.

"Lisa, that doesn't matter. We all have our time to go, and when it comes, there's no avoiding it. Yours might be soon, or it might be decades away. But that doesn't matter either. What matters is that I want to spend whatever time we both have left making you as happy and loved as I can, because I don't care about time. I care about you."

Second this but hug and kiss EACH girl in turn. Can another Bob come up with a short speech that says this but tugs the girls' heartstrings so that they know Young Master cares about all of them?

>>
>>19912700
Oh, wow.
Your girls actually try to drag her into competition for you, not scare away...

Also, she's Shirou. I will like to watch their dialog.

What to say, what to say...
Hmmm...
"But you are important. Not your abilities, not what you can do, but who you are. You are the person with strong ideals. I may disagree with them sometimes and I believe you will stand up to me to protect them. You are the person who walked into fire to save me from my own stupidity. I refuse to believe that someone like you could be not important.

Someday you may die for your ideals... But I'm a magus. I walk with death every day. And so we may very well walk this road together".

Yeah, soppy. Best I can in this hour.
>>
>>19912800

Never mind about my speech request. Second this but append that it applies to ALL the girls!
>>
>>19912700
Walk towards her, grab her by the shoulders, force her to look you in the eye.

"I can see where you're coming from here. You say that you have to protect me, protect as many of our little group as you can... And I feel exactly the same way. I want to protect all of you, keep you all safe even if that means giving my own life to do it. Even though this little group of ours has only been together for less than a week, I've already come to care about all you girls. Some more than others, but I'd still take a bullet for each and every one of you. Stalla, Rachel, Abby, my moms, they're all important to me. YOU are important to me.

Once all hell breaks loose and you're fighting out there, trying to protect us all, you can be damn sure I'll be doing the same for you. We're all going to make it through this alive. Promise me that you won't throw your life away so recklessly, okay? I need you.

Besides, I still haven't seen you smile."
>>
Hug. Tell her she is important.

You don't really need a bigass speech.

>>

First off, give her a hug. She needs some physical reassurance now before she has a breakdown. Then give her a little space, and try this:

"Lisa, I want you to take a good look at this group. You're a soldier of the Holy Church, a couple of days ago every one of us would have been a blood enemy to you. Two werewolves, a heretic Mage and... me.

I already told Rachel this, but I think the rest of you need to hear it too. I'm not... normal. Yesterday at the mall I met with Donnie's mom, and she told me that I was something a lot like a Demon, some kind of living paradox given form by Attie's wish for a child. Don't ask me to explain it any better than that, because I still don't get it myself.

If I'd told you that before now Lisa, I'm sure you would have cut me down. The Church trained you to despise Demons more than any other magical creature. But I'm not afraid to let you know that secret. I'm not afraid to share it with any of you. Because I know that I can depend on each one of you with my life.

You're talking about how you're not going to be around very long so you don't want me to get attached to you. Have you ever thought that maybe if I'm attached to you, you'll be around a lot longer? That ALL of us can be there for you if you let us?

We've become something a lot stronger than I ever expected over the last couple of days. Each one of us is important. I don't want to lose any of you, for any reason. As as long as we're together, I don't think anything can stop us. So what I'm asking from you Lisa... is to have some Faith."

I grasp her shoulders. She jumps a little, but I look her in the eyes and she stops, looking back at me. Those sky-blue eyes... It takes me a moment to continue.

"I can see where you're coming from here. You say that you have to protect me, protect as many of our little group as you can... And I feel exactly the same way. I want to protect all of you, keep you all safe even if that means giving my own life to do it. "I..."

I hug her tightly, and I feel all the girls move close and draw into a communal embrace. First Abby, then Rachel. Then I feel the ground shake slightly and look over my shoulder, past Rachel's now-human face, and see Stalla bound in to hold all of us in her paws in front of her snout, and suddenly, she's human again, holding us all tightly.

Silence reigns for a moment, and as soon as the hug ends, Rachel and Stalla turn back. Lisa seems slightly uncertain, holdhing her arm and biting her lip.

(Cont)
>>
"Excuse me." she says quietly, dashing away. Abby goes as well, and I turn - but Rachel stops me.

"They've been practicing together since they met." she says, seating herself in wolf form at my feet. "and really... All of us?" she chuckles. "Maybe once. But... "Quiet." Rachel mumbles, and I chuckle, making my way up to the house. Abby and Lisa seem to be arguing, but... As soon as I open the door, Abby pulls Lisa into a rather passionate kiss. A very hard nod.

"Alright. I wanna talk with Abby. Don't be gone long, alright?"

Huh. Glad you didn't go through with my kissing-suggestion. That could've made things even worse.

"She'll be fine. I don't think she's used to this much affection coming her way at once. Or ANY affection, really."

Sit down on the bed next to her. "So. You like her too, huh. Wanna talk about it?"

The important thing is to stay casual here, I think. Don't demand answers or anything like that. Abby knows you have a thing for Lisa too and she's probably worried you'll hate her for this.

"You... weren't meant to see it." she says. "I wanted to surprise you."

"...Mission accomplished."

"No, I mean..." she frowns. "I couldn't choose."

"What?"

"I, well... You're a handsome and charming and courageous and.... All sorts of other things. And you noticed me. And protected me, even when you didn't need to. And she... She's so pretty, and strong, and yet..."

"Vulnerable." I supply after a moment. "She really is made of... shields. I had a dream about her once. That I'd failed and her body was at my feet. It was made of shields. Bucklers, kites, towers. They were all broken and shattered." I sit up. "Shields are meant to protect people by taking the harm themselves. They break so that someone doesn't get killed. She's hurt herself..." I shake my head. "Listen, Abby... This is a weird thing to say, but you don't have to choose."

She flushes heavily.

"Y-y-you can't..."

"I can."

"B-b-but"

I walk over to her and pull her close. I don't kiss her, I just look into her eyes.

"Really, Abby. You want to argue?"

"...no." she whimpers.

A smile slides across my lips as I part the embrace. "It's getting dark... time flies."

"I've set the mines and everything." she says, sitting on the bed.

"When you said I don't have to be alone. I..." her hands rise to her chest, between her breasts. "I want to feel that more. I want to be... to be happy. I want to be selfish. I want to do extra things." her voice goes quieter and quieter as she talks, until she slips between us. We both hold her in our arms.

Ow. She pulls me sharply in, her eyes closed, tears still flowing. She's ten years older than me - and... She never...

And Abby...

It strikes me, rather suddenly, we're likely all virgins. Wonderful.

But it also strikes me, that... she never got to do any of these things. The pain in my lower back is negligible, I think. I don't break the kiss, and Abby kisses where our lips meet, and for a moment, we just sit there, hugging one another, drunk on the closeness.

Have fun, Young Master. You've earned it.

Uncle Bob is downright proud of you.
>>
... Thanks?

We fall back on the mattress, and Lisa and Abby shift to be on either side of my, holding close, my hands on their shoulders.

Listen, I know we all worked together on this, but... I want to do this alone. So... I'll show you later. It's a promise. Honest! You can hold me to it.

____------

Another dream. The mechanism spins and whirrs. I stand in the center of it, my eyes green, my body covered in a spiraling pattern.

I understand. It strikes me with a huge blow.

A spiraling, infinite mechanism.

Gain without loss.

I know it. I can feel it. My mind pulses with understanding.

-----_____
I blink awake, sitting up. The girls are curled up together. I walk to the wall of windows, with the balcony that stretches around the house to the porch, and throw them open.

Rachel admires the sunset just outside. She turns at the noise, looks at me, looks down a bit, looks at the bed.

She gives me a thumbs up, and walks away.

David, I understand that you wanted to do it alone, but we're supposed to be a team man. You have the body, I have the expertise, I could have helped.

Did you work something out master, can you finally make Unlimited Prana Works not turn your arms into swiss cheese? Tell us about all the juicy revelations you just got.

While you're doing that give the girls a kiss on the forehead and then make some breakfast. I think they'd appreciate breakfast in bed.
>>
... Did Rachel just give us the bro-thumbs-up?

My mental soundtrack right now:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qlcXTjogJY

Sit down and admire the sunset, kiddo. Take it easy for a bit, reflect on your feelings for both girls. What you like about both of them, that sort of thing. It's going to be a bitch to keep a relationship like this going, but both of them are worth the effort. Enjoy it while you still can.

Think about your current situation, too. Not so much on the future, but on the road that brought you here. The things you've done, the choices you've made... Regardless of what happens in the coming days, it's been one hell of a ride and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Once you're done, take a shower and go make something to eat for your girls. They'll be hungry after all that physical exertion.

>Rachel was watching the SunSET outside
We haven't been busy that long yet, dude.

I look out at the sunrise. It's a new day. I'm prepared. Hund can send the whole pack for all I care. I can feel it, like nothing can stop me. On my shoulder... I'm not sure if it was there or not before. A scar of a spiral, whorling out from my shoulder to spin around my upper arm.

I kiss Lisa on the forehead, and head out to cook a nice veggie breakfast. I turn on the radio as I do so.

"...Casualties are uncounted in the small community of the small town of Home today. What appears to be some sort of natural gas explosion has destroyed several homes and families. The count of the missing and the dead is currently resting at an estimate of twenty or thirty. More as it comes in..."

Master, we would very much like access to your memories.
>>
>>19915301
Nothing we can do about it now, unfortunately. Make the food, let everyone eat, then look to see if we can do anything else to prepare the house while we wait for our reinforcements to arrive
>>
>>19915301
Master, some more details on the spiral would be nice.

Where is Home?

Why didn't you kiss Abby on the forehead?

After breakfast I would suggest that you give your magic a test, a very careful gentle one to start with, and see how you're doing.

More fuel to the fire of hatred we have burning for the guy.
You should really talk to Lisa about the whole no-killing thing, by the way. Her stance on not killing anything may have changed somewhat due to her new outlook on things. Also ask if she has any preference for what we do to Hund once we've taken the bastard down.

Other than that, continue preparations for the siege. Get some more of the weapons we talked about earlier and wait for Shirou and/or Attie to arrive.

Yeah no. Hund's work. I guess we should've realized that just because we have a cease-fire doesn't mean he's not going to go ahead with his plan.

Young Master, when is Atalanta arriving today, and when is Abby's uncle bringing our goodies?

I feed the girls, and ask Lisa about her... policy.

"I... Might have a way around it." she says. "I'm not sure."

I frown, but... I can deal with this. Abby's uncle is due in the afternoon, Shirou is later in the day. I have no idea when Attie is-

I jump as someone knocks on the window outside. Attie waves at us. Abby lets out a yelp and dashes into the closet, pert posterior bouncing slightly. Lisa keeps eating quietly as she comes in.

A huge grin is on her face. Enormous.

"So." she asks.

"So what?" I reply.

"Don't be coy! Can I expect a grandson?"

THAT makes Lisa choke a little and me almost fall to the floor as she laughs. "I'll let you lovebirds get dressed~." she says, heading out.

Still. I suppose it's time to get ready. Tonight the cease-fire ends.

I'll let you know when I need you.
