You are a Magical Girl, and you badly need a drink right now. Right this second.

Because you're not entirely sure if you'll ever get another chance to.

REMOVE IORI

CODE RED
>>
>>19919510
You are currently dressed to the nines as a Maid - a docile, servile creature tasked to perform the most menial of duties, namely attending to your Master's needs, wants and whims. Your Master in question is a seventeen year old idol superstar by the name of Minase Iori, a brown-haired beauty who seems to have taken quite a liking to you. She had been invited to an event that involves the city's upper crust - its cream of the crop, financially speaking - and their efforts to spend as much money possible without actually doing the trust fund-deficient world around them any noticeable good. Your mission as you have been paid to accomplish it is to make sure that not one hair is harmed on Minase Iori's head, and that she comes home to your apartment relatively unraped and unmolested.

All seemed to be going nice and well enough until you met Lance Kilgore, a musclebound mountain of meat with a diamond-encrusted shark's grin and clothes that would be completely in place in a police lineup - or in a morgue. You were all too ready to ignore him and call it a night then when it is brought to your attention that he has a Golden Weapon - two thick bracers with a double-headed eagle motif, their wings spread and curled around the gold encasing his wrists. A meeting with him that nearly resulted in frustrated homicide on your part confirmed their status as a gift from that crazy broad from your nightmares, the one with the dark eyes and pink hair. You're not too sure how he got those bracers, but you're sure that you'll be looting them from his corpse in some later point in time. All you need is a clean line of sight, a good rifle, and him anywhere in the range of three miles from your vantage point.

But like any good meathead he's made things complicated.

You don't like it when things get complicated.

Lucky you. I gotta be leaving in an hour.

At least I get to enjoy MGNQ with my breakfast, I guess.
>>
IM HERE!!!
>>
>>19919533

The first complicating factor is that you're not outside. You've learned countless times that when you want to kill someone who does not want to be killed, getting them outside and in the open is the easiest way to get them to take their well-deserved (and paid for) dirt nap. Sure, they can run, and cover's going to be a bitch to shoot around, but at least he's not hunkered down inside some sort of safehouse or bunker.

No, Lance Kilgore did not have the decency to start this shit with you in the open. Instead, he did it in the middle of the event you're supposed to be babysitting Iori - inside an upscale mansion's ballroom hall. All its exits sealed in by heavily-armed, heavily-equipped operators who has that sharp look that says that they spend nine hours of their lives in an internet forum arguing about trigger discipline.

The second complicating factor are the bystanders. Your quick head count gives you two hundred civilians stuck in this mess with you. Two hundred people that have nothing to do with this whatsoever except being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Two hundred souls who will, most likely, not live long enough to see the next day.
>>
>>19919602

The third complicating factor are Lance Kilgore's concubines. Wives, lovers, you're not particularly concerned what they call themselves. Blank-eyed living dolls, dressed scandalously and lewdly, their grins shining like the smiles on their knives. Bloody tears trickling down their cheeks. They are thirty in number, and you doubt that even one of them knows just what they're doing. Or if they realize that they're already dead.

Finally, the fourth complicating factor - and the worst one yet - is that your Principal has to be involved in this mess. This shit does not fly, not with you. You're alright with attempts on your life - hell, it's something you expect every week, if not everytime you go on assignment. But whenever things like this that should not involve the safety of your Principal actually do, it's then that you feel just a little bit frustrated. Maybe even mad.

After all, it's your bread and butter he's fucking with.

Ah, thank you! Now to rest.
>>
>>19919605

Lance Kilgore himself - after his thunderous declaration of turning the ballroom hall into a charnel house, dedicating it to an unnamed entity you feel that you're quite acquainted with - is nowhere to be seen, at first. That is, until you look up - and it's there that you see Lance Kilgore slowly floating down from the ceiling, held aloft by what looks to be wings made out of flames sprouting out from his bracers.

They disappear after a few feet of hovering - and Kilgore's massive bulk drops to the floor. You shield your eyes from the resulting flash of gold light as he slams a now gold-encased fist - the bracers seemingly expanding into gauntlets, folding over his fist, plating over his fingers and knuckles - to break his fall. The very mansion shudders underneath you at the impact, and some cry out as they stumble.

He barks out a laugh, the sound guttural and rough - and he gestures with a gauntleted fist at his captive audience. His stare seeking you out for a moment, his bejeweled shark's grin gleaming.

"Bleed these motherfuckers," is what you hear him snigger in his contemptuous, drawling patois. The words have barely left his mouth when his concubines howl and screech and shriek, knives flashing as they spring forward as one. Jumping on panicking suits, straddling prone idols, bearing fleeing bystander into the floor. Knives slicing into flesh with quiet, almost dignified hisses, in contrast to the not so dignified shrieking, screaming, crying and begging.

The rest of the crowd explodes in an almost insane panic. Running, stampeding towards the exits.

And it's then that the operators start to open fire into the very crowd that had felt safe under their protection only a few moments ago.
>>
>>19919675

>fuck
>why does this make me feel so horrible?

fuck that bastard with a rusty rake.
>>
>>19919701
Because for the second time Iori is seeing people she likes hurt and we had been doing so well with getting her recovered from the last time and to not hang off us constantly?
>>
>>19919710
And most the chars from im@s aren't actually that annoying so them being hurt isn't a nice thought
>>
>>19919675

During the Otaku Rapists mission ,Kyoko said "Please execute one of them on camera. We could use the exposure" probably implying that Magical Girls are, if not well known, at least rumored.

The event has media in it and we were told that transforming as our last resort.

I wonder how Kyubey would feel about having Magical Girls in tomorrow's paper... if any of the reporters survived that initial assault that is.
>>
>>19919739
Transforming isn't the big deal

A magical girl slicing up one of the guests with no provocation? That's a big deal

One of them stopping a massacre? Great press
>>
>>19919749
>stopping a massacre
Erm. There's not gonna be many survivors no matter what we do at this point.
>>
>>19919675
I think we should start by killing the operators.
>>
>>19919774
Still the difference between a bloodbath and a complete massacre

Anyway we have Kyoko who if she is on her game will have bolted in the moment she heard gunshots and she can still shield I think
>>
>>19919778
I say we should take out Lance asap.
>>
>>19919789
But he will be the hardest to take down first.
>>
>>19919783

No word on whether Kyoko still has her illusion powers, probably not, but she should still be able to create barriers. Not as good as a Witch's barrier, but it should keep the concubines from gutting the rest of the guests.
>>
>>19919778
I agree. They're probably more effective at killing people than the harem.
>>19919789
I'm betting he'll either sit back and watch the fun, or take out one target at a time.
>>
>>19919789
Nah operators with time stop
Undead bitches with time stop or just normal speed if we are out
Lance

Otherwise the risk of them shooting or slashing Iori to shreds is too high. And killing lance will take a long time
>>
>>19919801
We don't have our shield.
Plus its a bit broken.
>>
>>19919807
We do if we transform and it isn't broken so much as it had a hiccup. We should have enough time to wipe out the operators at least before it burns out
>>
so, if we take down the operators first then people will be able to get away, they have projectile weapons so i would go for them first.

wish our shield was fixed so we could shoot all of them at the same time, that would fuck up lance's day for sure.

laughing his ass of one moment and the next everyone of his goons drops dead.
>>
>>19919809
You can tell that I don't watch much anime when I forget that magical girls transform.
>>
If the operators are firing into the crowd, first thing we should do is get Iori somewhere safer. We don't want her to catch a stray bullet or something.
>>
First order of business is to find cover for Iori. If we catch a stray bullet in the chaos, we'll live. She won't. Maybe behind the bar, or under one of the food tables. If we can get Garcia nad Fabiola as well, she can cover the two little uns while we transform and go full kill mode.
>>
Our shield does still work guys. We had it fail mid time stop but we haven't even looked at it since then, kyuubey said it should work if we don't abuse it and I think this calls for us taking whatever risk it involves with it's use
>>
We still have our grenades and flashbangs handy as well as our tranquilizers
>>
>>19919823
Can't forget to gokigenyou motherfuckers while we have the chance
>>
>>19919823
Vote we give the tranqs to Iori, tell her not to shoot herself, us, or anyone that looks like they're being useful. Anyone else is fair game.
Except Lance. They'll probably just get his attention. That would be bad.
>>
We also need to tell Kyouko that we need backup.
Also what about the cross.

The hair is wrong. Needs more fringe.

>>
>>19919675

You shout and scream at your little group - Iori, Fabiola, Garcia - and push and pull them towards the nearest exit. In the screaming, shrieking chaos, you see both Takane dragging an unconscious and bloody Chihaya with her, her face set in a determined expression - and you grab her upper arm, shoving her towards Fabiola just as you yourself advance.

The Golden Desert Eagle snaps into your hand all too readily. And this time, you don't deny it. You don't begrudge it.

The operator guarding the entrance you're shoving your little entourage into has barely raised his weapon when you've blown his entire digestive system out behind him, the greasy snakes of his intestines noisily flopping against the door. Another shot reduces his entire face into a permanent wound channel the size of a cantaloupe, and throws his corpse hard enough against the teak portal that it throws it open.

You scream at your little group of VIPs, roughly shoving them through one way out of this abattoir, not caring if they stumble or fall or complain as they step over your latest victim in a while. You ignore Iori's frightened look that she gives you - and you ignore how she flinches as you thrust your smartphone in her hands. You tell her to call Kyoko and say the word Red, and make sure the one-eyed bitch understands.

Fabiola, who looked as if she was taken by surprise by the entire thing, looks at you huffily. "I suppose you can be forceful if you want to, Pretend Maid."

You glare at her, before looking back at the slaughterhouse you'd just left. You slam the door close with your free hand, blocking out the sounds, the sights, the scent of people being murdered like animals.

God forgive you, but a part of you actually is itching to get back inside there.
>>
>>19919864
Lance dies today
>>
>>19919883

I agree. Let's get back in there.
>>
>>19919883
I thought that would be rather evident already
I do think we shouldn't kill his zombie whores unless we have to though. It seems like he has them mind controlled so if we can tranq them it might help
>>
>>19919864
Good Chiaki, managed to think cool and didn't run berserk.
>>
>>19919914
They are lost to the world. Time to end their movement. A corpse shouldn't walk.
>>
>>19919864
Once we have our VIP's in the car, we can have Kyouko get them out of here.
As for us, we need to make sure that there's no pursuit.
That's how we'll spin it to Mami.

Let's get back in there, go 'Gokigenyou, motherfuckers', and see if our time stop actually still works by killing all of the operators and disarming the harem.
>>
We aren't equiped with anything with enough bullets to help the people inside. We probably can't afford the time it takes to transform, so we're going to have to try to run escort to get these few out.

Not many other options that I can see.
>>
>>19919925
Like us?

Anyway we don't know if they are zombies or not and given we told kyuubs we would play nice we should at least make an effort to not going ax crazy

And resisting the urge to slaughter everything will help with out corruption from the golden deagle
>>
>>19919925
Not necessarily. We've got a tranq gun, and they're being mind-controlled. They're valuable once Kilgore is dead, so we should try to avoid killing them.
>>
>>19919941
At least open the door back up before we leave. Some people might get out.
>>
>>19919914

after all that he has (probably) done to them, i don't think they will be very stable when control over them is released.

what if they experienced life when they were controlled as being a prisoner in their own mind? experiencing everything that happened but completely unable to do anything about it, how many years of that would an ordinary person be able to take before breaking apart?

maybe killing them is the merciful thing to do.
>>
>>19919941
The time it takes to transform? This isn't Sailor Moon, you know.
>>
>>19919937
>>Once we have our VIP's in the car, we can have Kyouko get them out of here.

Red is "backup". Green was "evac"

Kyouko's gonna rush into the room we just vacated and start murdering everyone.
>>
>>19919925
I have not in merely a moment believed that I would take part in your quest, Deculture.

And yet, here I am. And to stay ontop, I'd say, let's blow this place from afar. 'Cause we don't want get frenzied.
>>
>>19919957
We don't know that until they can think again.
>>
>>19919967
And we're going to help! Fuck the flesh of fallen angels, BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
>>
Guys.

Magical girls can use telepathy.

Why don't we just contact Kyoko this way?
>>
>>19919941
Even if the Time Stop function is damaged, we can still pull whatever guns we need from our shield.
And transforming is only a second.
>>
>>19919941
How about attacking Lance the operators probably would wouldn't dare shoot him.
>>
>>19919958
I don't know what this is. But given how much jank we've stuffed into the maid cosume, I was assuming it wasn't going to be quick enough.
>>
>>19919957
Regardless of what is actually merciful we need to play by the rules on this because as I said here >>19919949 killing them just pushes us further down the Kirika path

>>19919941
Transformation isn't a five minute process, we go from cosplay to effective cosplay in a flash and it gives us unlimited dakka works
>>
No, they cannot.
>>
>>19919983
Because we can't.
>>
>>19919983
We can't use telepathy in this setting.
>>
>>19919986
Too slow. Killing him would take long enough for his goons to kill everyone
>>
>>19919967
Why DID we go Red instead of Green? We've got VIPs that we need to get out of here.
>>
>>19920000
What if we were to move the fight into the middle of where his goons are?

>>
>>19920003
it's more like
Green = we are going to the car, start the engine and get ready to go
Red = we need the car here. NOW!
>>
>>19920003

Everyone panicked in the previous thread and switched to "Kill everything that moves!" mode.
>>
>>19920021
No, green = bring the car, red = FIRE EVERYTHING
>>
>>19920003
Because Kyoko wouldn't forgive us if we kept all the fun to ourselves

And Fabiola can drive them all to the hospital

>>19920011
His goons are spread across a ballroom the size of a small house.

Too much space to cover
>>
>>19920023
I don't see why we can't do that after making sure the principles are speeding away. Get them to the car, then go back and mop the fuck up.
>>
>>19920031
Then our best chance is to killing them all is to bring down the roof
>>
>>19920031

I like this plan.
>>
>>19920023
I don't see why that's a bad thing.
>>
>>19920046

If we had Kyoko bring the car, she would have crashed it through the ballroom, allowing a large opening people could escape through. Also, the car is bullet proof, so getting our VIPs in there makes them much safer than being out here in the hall with just us. Now we have to get to the car and hope we don't run into a security patrol.

You hear Iori stammering into your smartphone, sobbing Kyoko's name and the name of a particular color again and again - and it's with a shouted expletive that you hear the magical girl at the other end of the line sever the connection. Iori looks up at you, tearfully, before managing to say that Kyoko would be on her way soon.

"B-but...Chiaki-san, w-what about the people in ther? What are we going to do? W-what about Miki-san, and Haruka-san, and Makoto-san--"

"I-It's okay, Iori-san. Chiaki-san will save them." Garcia, his cheek splattered with blood, says awkwardly but firmly, stepping forward. "Chihaya-san is unconscious, but I think she'll be alright. Takane-san is alright too, but I think she's in shock. We need to get away from here, p-probably to a hospital--"

Despite the situation, Fabiola smiles, just as she slides out what appears to be a Benelli M1 Super 90 riot shotgun from the back of her dress, the sling on it sporting a heavy bandolier of crimson shells. With practiced ease, she loads a handful into the firearm, quick enough that you're impressed.

"You've exceeded my expectations, young Master." Fabiola smiles, not unkindly, to Garcia. The blonde young man simply blushes, before shaking his head. "M-mine too, I guess," he stammers after a moment. He then looks at you, eyes hard. "You'll save them, right, Chiaki-san?"

You stare back silently. Everyone left inside the ballroom, by all rights, should be dead by now. But saying that won't help things.

You nod after a moment. It's then that you pull your MK 22 from its holster concealed behind your ribbon and drop it into his hands.

He looks up at you, confused. You explain, curtly and quickly, that you are counting on him and Fabiola to get the three idols out of the mansion. Kill anyone who stops you, get somewhere safe outside, and stay in cover from snipers.

Garcia's eyes go wide at this, and you hear him audibly swallow as he looks down at the cold metal firearm in his hand.

"Count on us, Pretend Maid. Consider this collateral." Fabiola grins. "Upon my life, I swear that I will protect them until my last breath. They will come to no harm." She hefts her massive shotgun onto her shoulder, before offering a gloved hand to you.

"Die well, Pretend Maid."

You smirk at the fatalistic greeting and clasp her wrist tightly. Her own fingers curling around your own.

"Kill many, Fabiola Iglesias." You reply, and you see them off as they run and stumble away from you, to get out of the mansion as fast as they can. Fabiola at the lead, with Garcia watching their tail.

You turn towards the door you'd just closed on a bloodbath - and in doing so, you miss Iori giving you one last desperate look before she is dragged along by Takane and Garcia.

The Golden Desert Eagle is warm in your hand as you step back into the ballroom hall, locking the door behind you as you do so.

Stepping into madness given form. Death given form.

The blood is already pooling on the floor when you get there.

i'm not sure if transforming would mean we lose our grenades/flashbangs

To someone not into the animes right now
What does "Goukigenyou" means anyway?
>>
1/ Get our murderface on. It's killing time!
2/ Clear out our immediate surroundings. We don't want to get shanked from behind when we're distracted.
3/ Murder! Specifically, shoot the Bloody Bastard while he's so obligingly standing there. Say, blow out his kneecaps to begin with. It propably won't be so easy to do him in, but it's a good start.

its a girls way of greeting in japan, seems like it means "(I wish) you stay feeling happy."

possibly wrong but that is what i got.

Nothing short of taking his head off will even slow him down from what we have heard
>>
Also

This is a punishment for not fighting him when he grabbed us. If we had started the fight he wouldn't have everyone ready and casualties would have been much lighter
>>
>>19920288

Extremely formal greeting or farewell.

Closest english equivalrnt would be "Good day to you."

In anime, often used in formal settings or by maids/butlers.
>>
>>19920317
Hey, he probably killed a hundred or so of Japan's elite. We can't really be mad about that.
>>
>>19920223
Flashbangs at the concubines.
Time Stop.
Frag Grenades at the OPERATORS.
Go right at Kilgore with a few shots from the DEagle at his knees and his head.
>>
>>19920333
That's not so much the issue as fucking with our meal ticket and making Iori become more dependent on us because she loses all her friends
>>
>>19920340
Acquaintances. We managed to get the two girls she actually cares about to safety. At least so far.
>>
>>19920317

we don't know that, it could have ended up in a similar way but if we started it then most of the shit would be on us instead.
>>
>>19920343
And probably lost the rest which means she will be getting less and less secure so she will cling to us more because we protect her and we aren't heartless enough to force he to leave
>>
How about we don't use DEagle here?
We don't want to go "flesh of fallen angles" ourselves.

Just unload the grenades, transform, and fetch some "normal" gun.
>>
>>19920359
The only reason to not use the deagle is that we're going to run out of bullets.

There's what, at least 6 concubines and twice that many Operators?
>>
>>19920343
She does like the others just the two we saved were more her best friends
>>

>>
Gokigenyou.

Use flash grenades for it though, and distract them. Use the tranq gun on the women as we can interrogate them later about Lance's power and weapon.

As for Lance and his men? Terminate with extreme prejudice.
>>
We have grenades right?

Grenades.

Grenadesgrenadesgrenadesgrenades.
>>
>>19920382
They'll be a definite lost cause if we use frag grenades.
Let's use our flashbangs first.
Then we save the frags for use against Kilgore at close range.
>>
>>19920382
Damn, in that case, let's hope they were smart enough to play dead.
>>
>>19920314
The idea is to limit his mobility. If he gets a good hit in on us with those fists of his, it's over. In addition, we aren't exactly great in melee, as our fight with the katana chick (Kirika?) showed. This time, we don't have sniper support to save the day.
We need to keep him away and somehow deal with the people who are inevitably going to be shooting at us.

If it won't work, we will at least have his attention. Likely the attention of everyone else, too. Which is a good time to use a flashbang.

So - limit BB's mobility, limit the capability of mooks to use their superior firepower (flashbang), shoot on the move and don't stop, with the occassional grenade to spice things up and keep them from ganging up on us?
>>
>>19920377
The only reason to not use the DEagle is that it makes us go crazy, just as Kirika's katana did.
>>
>>19920359
Sadly if there ever was a time to go flesh of fallen angels it is now

Going up against Kilgore in here without every edge we can is suicide given we are on his turf to begin with
>>
>>19920398
True, there could still be someone clinging to life in this stinking mess. Flash grenades.
>>
>>19920407
>The idea is to limit his mobility.
Shoot his kneecaps?
>>
>>19920407
It is more that Kilgore has kept fighting with his heart torn out that is an issue

His groupies are nothing for us to worry about but when someone can pull the shit he is supposed to? We have a problem
>>
>>19920411
That's what we got the Seeds for.
>>
>>19920407
Kirika also had a serious speed edge on us that Kilgore likely doesn't.
>>
>>19920431
YOU ARE WRONG!
>>
>>19920431

>>
>>19920431
Didn't Fabiola said that Kilgore had some insane burst speed or something?
he is a boxer in nature
He will close the distance fast
>>
>>19920440
No, I don't think so. Speed was something of Kirika's specialty, even without her time slow super power.
>>
>>19920431
He can muster "incredible speed".
It's just that most time he doesn't bother to, because rough force gets the job done.
>>
Why aren't we using the cross? I think this situation very much qualifies as an emergency.
>>
>>19920455
No, Fabiola specifically mentioned that Kilgore can put out bursts of insane speed.
He can't maintain it like Kirika could, but he can still move around in bursts so fast that he's almost teleporting.

>>19920467
I was just wondering that.
>>
>>19920431
>>19920444

Kirika was fast *all the time*. Kilgore is probably significantly slower, but can still move quickly in short bursts when he wants. Either way, closing into CQC with him is very bad. We should tell Kyoko about this as soon as possible.

While he CAN fight without the use of much of his vital organs, he may not be able to walk without his legs or punch without his arms. Just to be safe, we'll assume that his limbs will continue to function even if severed from his body. However, his whole gimmick is being a steel wall of flesh and sinew, and injuring him may be a feat in itself.

This may force us to use the golden sword if the opportunity presents itself.
>>
>>19920467
We have no idea what it does, for one. We have a suspicion that it summons either a space marine drop pod or Accellerator.

I'm not sure which would cause more collateral damage.

So we'll keep it until we get in personal danger.
>>
>>19920454
>>19920462
That's still not the same as what Kirika was pulling off, however. A "burst of speed" isn't the same as being inhumanly fast all the time.
>>
>>19920486
Baron is almost immortal and fast as fuck.
He will just shrug most of our shots, until he gets close.
We have to get a way to get rid of everything.
>>
>>19920514
Shoot him in the face as he comes at us, then give him a faceful of frag grenades?
>>
>>19920431
Hence the kneecaps. If you're wrong, and he DOES have a ludicrous speed edge, he won't anymore and we can take it from there.
If you're right, we can just comfortably stay away and shoot him to death.

Anyhow, we need to identify the greater threat here - either it's BB, or the mooks around us. We could conceivably use our timestop to paint a bullet through every brain here, and let the Baron go up on a grenade pyre, but it likely won't be as easy.

Or, we could use our Emergency Drop Pod Beacon Cross, leave the mooks for our ally (I think it's reasonable to presume that the Space Marine armor is immune to small arms fire, and nobody has an AM rifle indoors) and deal with the Baron.
>>
>>19920483

That brings about an intresting point. We don't HAVE the sword, QB does. However... that doesn't mean that we could draw it out of our shield on accident, and thus prove that the gold weapons WANT to be used like we suspect of them...

Shooting his shoulders may disable his arm.

Lance Kilgore laughs as he notices your arrival - and so do the rest of his entourage and the remaining operators under his employ. You give the bloody scenery a cursory look - it seems that some of the guests had actually been armed guards, and they had died valiantly trying to protect their own clients. Some of them had been successful in taking down some of Kilgore's wives, while others had moderate success in their attempt to dispatch some of the operators themselves. All in all...not a bad death, you surmise.

"Well hello - what do we have here?" Kilgore's purring voice carries all the way from his end of the ballroom to yours. The Desert Eagle heavy in your hand, gleaming from the amber lighting from above. "Do my eyes deceive me? Is it, in fact, the timid maid from earlier, with the gun I want in her hands, actually returning to this...glorious sacrificial chamber?" He spreads his gauntleted hands wide, arms out. "I was more than content to let you go, but think that another gift is to fall into my hands at the moment of my ascension! Come closer, young one, and give me what I so richly deserve!"

You...you find yourself walking. Not out of necessity or for a plan. You find yourself compelled to walk toward him, into his arms.

Kilgore grins at this, revealing teeth pinked with blood.

"Look, dear girl. Look. This is all for her. All these lives. All these souls. All for her. Now she cannot ignore me, now she cannot deny what is rightfully mine." The howling and worshiping of his wives reach a deafening crescendo as they raise their arms around him, fingers trailing blood on his robes, on his clothes. Marking him with bloody fingerprints. "There will be more, once she grants me the boon I've been praying for."

You stop ten paces away from Kilgore. Knowing full well that gunmen have you in their sights the moment you stepped onto the accursed floor. Knowing full well that the wrong move could have your day ruined more than it had ever right to be.

You know all that, but you're not that concerned at the moment.

All you know is that you've heard all of that before. Those same exact words, somehow. Lance Kilgore, spouting spooky monkey talk direct from someone's nightmares. Yours.

It's then that you look up at Lance - the beast of a man grinning at you in anticipation - before you surprise him with a smile of your own as you slowly and carefully shove the Desert Eagle back into its holster. Your two hands taking handfuls of your skirt - and it's then that you bow into a proper curtsy, one foot primly placed in front of the other as you raise your gathered skirt up by a mere inch or two.

Feeling the threads underneath snap quietly at your tug.

Feeling - rather than hearing - the minute, yet solid thunks of five flashbang grenades dropping around your feet.

You smile at Kilgore, keeping your eyes at him. And his concubines. And the operators currently aiming at you through their scopes.

You murmur a single sentence.

"Gokigenyou, motherfuckers."

And you close your eyes as the entire world explodes into a bright, blinding, searing star.

His Charm-fu is strong, potentially, but what you are missing here is his focus. He's not like MidoriEmi was; that's not his signature move or anything. He's a brawler first and formost, Fabolia told us that. Being compelled doesn't mean full control, either; frankly, we've dealt with that before. Controlled, forced, 'blinked and then found we couldn't' are all much stronger terms to describe full mind control... uh... not that I know anything about how one writes that.

This is just Deculture's writing style, to describe the start of an effect and then trail off as Chiaki shakes it off.

I'll presume that was meant for me.
Perhaps it isn't his signature move, but he's managed to use it to accumulate thirty of these idols as some sort of demon harem. He controlled them all at once. He's going to be adept at using it.
And the wording may mean that we were only urged to do it, but then we could have just not done it, or had a plan when we did. But we did it, and it was stated we didn't have a plan, we were just doing what we were told. That sounds like more than just him hinting at us, "Hey, little girl, walk over here!"

Even with the anguished screaming and panicked yelling from each and every one of your victims - Kilgore roaring his anger and disbelief at what had just happened, at how you were supposed to be ensnared the moment he touched you, the moment he looked at you - you could still hear the giggling of a young woman with pink hair and sunless eyes, whispering in your ear.

"Kill them, Homura-chan. Kill them all."

She's been there, you realize. She's been there all along.

And you obey.

You will never forgive yourself for this, not by a long shot.

But you will soon remember it as something you enjoyed. Immensely.

It depends on whether you can handle/like slice-of-life and cute girls doing cute things (and the cast is pretty damn big, so that's a lot of girls). Not a harem series, thankfully; it focuses on an idol production company as it slowly gains popularity. Starts off a little slow and mildly schizophrenic, but it picks up after a few episodes.

Pic kind of related.

When has Chiaki ever listened to other people?

>>
>>19921023

You move smoothly, the most fluid you've ever moved before. You kill as if you've rehearsed this entire sequence countless times, as if this is how it should be, and nothing else. It is as if you had spent your entire time asleep, and it is only now that you have been roused to do what you're meant to do.

The Golden Desert Eagle is back in your hand, just as you tug free your combat knife from its sheathe lashed to your boot. One bullet for every operator, each one finding its mark without you so much as aiming for a second. One quick swipe of the knife, across the neck, for every concubine tethered to Kilgore. Laying open muscle. Throat. Larynx. Bone. Blood spurting with every life you take, with every kill you secure. You do this in complete silence, your focus unbreakable.

You do not even miss a beat as you reload. You toss your knife somewhere high up. A sharp mortis-cry - and the sound of a body crashing brokenly into the marble tiles - confirms your accuracy.

You end the rest of the concubines. Point-blank shots, just as they regain their bloody-tracked sights and launch themselves at you. Each one suddenly halting in mid-air as if suddenly slamming into an invisible wall suddenly set in their paths. Pulping their organs and spraying them out as crimson mulch behind them.

At this, Lance had shrank back. He'd regained his own sight much earlier - but even with his history of carnage, the extent of the massacre he'd orchestrated - he was not expecting this. He had not been expecting the frail, humble maid from earlier to make short work of his highly-paid operators - and his cadre of brainwashed murderers.

"Your...your eyes..." He gasps, backpedaling.

You don't need to look. You already know.

The disturbing thing is that you don't care anymore.

Now you're just being silly. We had a plan the entire time. We've had a plan, what, three threads back, when we first had Misaka put flashbangs up under the dress. The plan was ALWAYS to walk forward, get in someone's face, and say ""Yippie-Kai-Yay, Motherfucker!" in the most Maidly way possible.

That said, I'm not sure why we're feeling bad from opening up in the middle of the room like this. We killed that first witch back in Mami's apartment without flinching, and NOTHING has even hinted so far that the wives are able to be saved.

Gun them down; the only thing we need to feel sorry for is the amount of ammo being wasted.

"MURDERFACE!" A voice shouts behind you. It's Kyoko, still in her butler costume, one of her tri-pointed spears in her hand. You hear her run towards you - before slowing to a stop as she looks around. "Murderface, I know I'm late, but I bumped into Iori and her pals earlier, I had to get them into the car, and--" You hear her curse underneath her breath. "What the fuck...? M-Murderface, I thought you needed backup, but--"

"Y-you killed them," Lance Kilgore stutters, dropping down to his knees in front of you. All his bluster earlier - of worshipping the ruinous powers - gone, just like that. "M-my girls. You killed every one of them like it didn't even matter to you--"

No. No, it didn't.

You step forward and press the mouth of the Desert Eagle's barrel against the center of Kilgore's massive forehead.

And now it was his turn to join them.

"N-no...m-mercy, please, I don't want to die--"

You curl your finger around the trigger.

You loathe begging.

Another moment, and you curse as the shot goes wide wide as Kyoko suddenly wrenches your arm back. The round smashing a hole into the ceiling.

"MURDERFACE! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" Kyoko screams at you, pushing you off. "You can't kill someone like that! They've surrendered! We disarm them and take them to the Silent Room for interrogation! Don't you remember?!"

He deserves to die, you hear yourself say. His rights, if he ever had any, will be read at his funeral.

It's then that you feel Kyoko's fist crash right into your mouth, knocking your glasses off in the impact and sending you toppling into the blood-soaked floor below.

"I am NOT taking that shit from you, Murderface! Now get yourself back together or I'm...I'm telling Mami on your ass!"

...Well. Fuck. You forgot how hard Kyoko could punch. You think she knocked a tooth loose there.

You blink as Pinky's laughter fades from your ears, the crimson mist in your eyes also disappearing.

What have you been doing, indeed...?

You get up just as Kyoko secures Kilgore, aiming the tip of her spear against the stunned man's throat - while another spear snakes its way around his arms, holding them fast together with its chained sections. You stagger back shakily to your feet as you hear her murmur something about going crazy like Kirika.

"M-man. Murderface, I..." Kyoko's voice is shaky, trembling, despite her best efforts to sound even. "Jesus. Look what you did. Not even Sayaka at her worst..."

You look at the Desert Eagle in your hand.

"Murderface, what's wrong with you?" Kyoko turns to you, her one crimson eye searching your own. Looking for reassurance, that her friend hasn't gone crazy. "Is...is it that golden thing, again? Is the same thing happening to Kirika happening to you too?"

How do you respond?

The golden gun is cursed, pantsman. By shooting people with it, and giving in to the rage, we're giving Pinky what she wants and turning ourselves into Kirika Mark II.

That's what's bad.
>>
>>19921445
Uh... Because she's LATE? She doesn't yet KNOW that we only shot the badguys? She literally just walked in, saw us standing in a hall full of blood, and the ONLY other person still alive is cowing at our feet as we prepare to execute him.

Also, black eyes.

It's a perfectly good question to ask if we were ones responsible.

I didn't mind the tracks. I saw the whole thing as a single scene where Chiaki had to react based on what was already done.

And honestly, there's not much different we could've chosen to do, either. Everyone was already dead, and the available actions would've been "kill them in which of the following ways?"

By making it a "railroad" he just saved us all time and empty choices.

No, I don`t think something from Penumbra matches the mood and feeling. Noir doesn`t autimatically mean depressing and shit, or.. well. not the same kind of of depressing.

Besides the Max-Payne-Theme I kind of think that parts of the Saya no Uta Theme feel earily close this. But if you think that guy who is responsible for Madoka actually had his hand in Saya na Uta, too, it actually statrs making sense.

You look at your own puzzled reflection on the Desert Eagle's surface. Half your face is smeared with blood, along with most of the front of your uniform - but you know that the blood isn't your own, not by a long shot. Still, to see yourself in such a manner - right after doing all that...

You look back up at Kyoko, at your confused friend who you know is only concerned about you because...well, because you're friends, somehow. You're not the easiest to get along with, and you're certainly not the life of any party or conversation. Being friends with you is like stirring dried concrete.

But regardless. She needs an explanation.

A good one.

Just like you yourself need one, too.

Finding your voice, finally, you murmur that her guess may be correct. You tried your best, but...

You glance down at the Desert Eagle, before ejecting the magazine, letting it drop onto the floor, and then removing the chambered round from its breech.

"Don't tell Iori. Or...or Mami." You hear yourself say. "Please."

Kyoko looks at you for what seems like an age and nods. Quietly. Before pulling out her cellphone and dialing Kyuubey's number.

"Gonna call for an evac unit," She says after a moment. "This big bastard's going to need one. Probably a cleanup crew too, this place is a mess."

You nod as you look around for the remains of the wet bar. You need a drink. You need to sit down. Both at the same time, hopefully.
>>

But we used the cursed golden gun to kill loadsa people and making Pinky very happy. Aw shit, why couldn't I join that last thread.
>>
>>19921730
We didn't decide anything on how to handle Kilgore, except killing him.

>>
>>19921730
That was the one deviation from the plan actually.
We had most people saying throw the deagle in a corner and go nuts with regular guns
>>
>>19921659

It's only then that you hear Pinky's laughter, again.

But this time, it's coming from Lance. Interlaced with his own rough, rasping laughter.

The blood still pooling on the floor, soaking into your clothes, dripping from the corpses - suddenly moving, gathering, curling into crimson tendrils and gathering where Kilgore knelt.

"She...she comes," Kilgore drools. His eyes completely black. "I...I no longer wish for this. I cannot accept--"

There's a sharp crack as his entire skull is jerked back, before it lolls forward as his body stands up. The chain-spear securing his hands suddenly catching purple flame and dissolving as if it never were. Kyoko's one eye going wide as she steps back, and you join her as Kilgore's corpse floats upwards, arms outstretched as if being crucified in midair.

"What the fuck--" Kyoko starts to say, before the entire form of Lance Kilgore explodes in a bloody shower - leaving behind a patchwork of flesh and bone in his place. The gauntlets still affixed to his fists.

And it's then that the corpses and the blood fly up towards the skeleton. Replacing what has been lost. Building what had been destroyed. A gruesome perversion of a resurrection. Limbs, faces, torsos, organs - made up of bodies dead and dying.

The daemon that falls, feet first, into the ground before you is over ten feet tall, the faces of the dead screaming from its very skin. Jagged ribs form its teeth, twisted bones forming its horns.

The gauntlets now clawed, sparking electricity, cutting the very air as they twitched.

"Well. There's...we're fucked, aren't we, Murderface?"

You take this moment to drain the contents of your hip flask in one go, tossing the empty bottle to the side afterwards.

You agree, and offer your suggestion.

"Run."

What do you do?

Because the other choice was him giving the Golden Katana to Sayaka, who WOULD immediately fall under Pinky's control and we'd have to retire her.

>>
>>19921976

This I'll agree to. Until Kirara's Masamune appears in our shield when we transform, making us dual weilding golden weapons (which would be SWEET but terrible on our sanity score) just like Kilgore the demon prince, I'm going to assume that we can leave it behind but it's just hard to.

To people before, THIS is how 'proper' mind control works in the text format, by the way.

The creppy little space-twat mae it pretty clear that of we don`t do it he would give the sword to Sayaka to let her test it and I hopefully don`t have to mension how bad of an idea that would be.

Still, a paranoid part of me actually thinks that if you tie up the hints that Kyoko has been droping together, it seems awfully clear that Sayaka is not herself right now. Either because she is right before witching out on our ass or because she has a golden weapon already.

"Hey, Kyuubey? Yeah, we're going to have to cancel that evac." You hear Kyoko calmly speaking to the boss on her phone as the both of you pound your way out of the ballroom hall - a moment before Kilgore's new form smashes right through the door, taking with it a good part of the ceiling, the wall surrounding the door, and a good part of the ballroom itself with a sound akin to an explosion. "Oh, er, I don't think we need it just yet. What we do need is backup." You throw the door to the main hall open just as you come upon it, Kyoko squeezing in after you. A moment, and her trademark barrier crashes into existence behind you, forming up against the door, reinforcing it. "How many squads? N-no, I want you to get everyone. No, you didn't hear me wrong. I said every--I SAID EVERYONE--"

Kilgore - or rather, the monster - smashes right through shield, masonry and furniture as it continues its relentless pursuit, its crimson eyes focusing on the both of you as its footsteps crush what remained of the mansion. You'd already transformed into your Magical Girl Costume - and you're secretly glad that your Shield is right back where it belongs.

You're still in your maid uniform, though. Funny how that worked out.

In any case, you and Kyoko have decided to lead the monster into a chase around the house - you can't, by good conscience, escape without taking care of this problem first. Hence the delaying tactic of leading it on a wild magical girl chase while you wait for reinforcements. You can't finish this one off on your own, not even with the Desert Eagle.

The fight took literally less than a minute and you chucklefucks complain that you couldn't do 15 different things in those 60 seconds?
>>
>>19922027
We can still make choices besides the ones listed.

As for using the Golden Gun, we weren't in full control because Faust was controlling us. If an enemy spellcaster succeeds in casting a mind control spell on your character and has it attack the party, do you complain to your DM for railroading?
>>
>>19922141

Unconsciously, you clasp the golden cross Misaka had given you just before leaving for this disaster of a mission. Your thumb immediately finding the hidden button at the very center of the icon.

There's a click, and a small whining sound. Followed by a stinging crackle of electricity coming from the piece of jewelry.

You turn to Kyoko to ask her about this, when you realize that your butler friend had already started to trying to fight the beast up close. A spear in each hand, launching herself right up into the monster's face.

There's a gout of blood - and a roar of anguish - as the first spear finds its mark, burying itself into Kilgore's eye. You see Kyoko try and impale the brain through that - but the beast catches her in its grip and tosses her like a ragged doll. Her body slamming against a wall with a rather sickening crunch, before sliding down rather pathetically to the floor.

You'd have screamed Kyoko's name, if the sudden explosion of searing immaterium right beside you didn't knock you off your feet.

You scramble quickly back onto your feet as the dust cloud slowly settles - a giant silhouette, hunched over and tusked, looming over you. You cough as the symbols on it become all the clearer - an eight-pointed star. Arrows pointing upwards, downwards. On its right pauldron, a skull with bat wings cresting from its sides. On the left, the relief of a snarling lion.

[TELEPORTATION COMPLETED.] The giant intones in a deep, speaker-corrupted voice, its eyes igniting with crimson light. [DEATH TO THE FALSE EMPEROR.]

What...what did Misaka just give you, again?
>>
>>19922125
By tossing all the stuff into a safe. I can live with less data on cursed people, but we can haul in amputated semi-retired magical girls in for that data.

However, QB would've handed it over to Sayaka in the interests of science. So there goes that plan.

It might cut down on complaints if you flag a little more clearly when you're taking votes for the next course of action, maybe greentext it. Where was I? Right. Screaming demon harem, big gaudy black guy going nuts, screaming about the flesh of fallen angels, some pink goddess and people shuffling off meeting James Earl Jones. I mean Death.

It was the fucking Emperor job all over again. And this time, I was all alone. She'd better not die here, or I'm not getting paid. That's even worse.

And the demon harem is approaching the idols. Lovely. This keeps getting better.

"Takane, get down!" I yell, as I instinctively pull out the first weapon I got my hands on: a beautiful Para-Ordnance P14-45. The better M1911A barks twice, sending more than enough 45ACP to stop a beserk Filipino warrior twice. The shots ring true, and her would-be murderer was... disarmed. At the shoulders.

I hear a giant mighty explosion. I turn, and saw one of the guards suck a giant-caliber bullet. And the report of other firearms, followed by a lot of screaming.

I approach my principal, two things firmly in my mind: some of the hired help were packing serious heat, and this wasn't the fucking Emperor mission. For one thing, the demon harem was mortal.

"Miss Shijou, I do believe it is time to leave." I deadpanned. While I gun down another knife-wielding maniac. Ten bullets left.

I look at her teary face, then down to the blue-haired idol she was clutching. She looks to be in pretty bad shape.

"She'll live, Takane, but only if you get her out." I wasn't lying. But the guard I dispatched was, with a bullet to his head. I silently thank the Glaser Corporation. Eight left.

"Find your friend and get the hell out. I'll follow."

"Promise?" Dammit Takane, you keep reminding me of my wife.

"I'll stay alive. Take my ring. Wait by the car. If I'm not there by thirty minutes, drive off and get to a hospital." I hand her a fairly ornate ring. She needed no second time.
>>
Good. Now that she's relatively safe, I find a safe corner and speed dial my employer. The smooth, melliflous voice of the mutant cat never ceases to piss me off.

"QB."
"Rogue Trader."
"The flesh of fallen angels. What the hell."
"Lance Kilgore."
"Big, gaudy black man, surrounded by knife-wielding demonbitches?"
"I see. I will be getting a bill for this, will I not?"
"If I survive. I'm gonna have to ask for more."
"Done."
"Just thought you'd like to know. Also the whole place is a charnel house. I'm gonna need a favor and ask for medical support."
"It's on the way as we speak. By the way, how did you survive? The place is surrounded and the guards have live rounds."
"Luck."

I click the phone shut. Being rude to your employer is a no-no, but I had spent too much time already. Time to blow the joint.

I head for the nearest exit, putting down any resistance I could find. The sound of gunfire, screaming and the stench of blood was everywhere.

It was not until I reach a suitable exit that I notice that my dress shirt was ruined. And a very dizzy feeling. Oh shit. I hope the ambulance arrives s-

"I thought you were dead!" Two anguished angels cry out. Funny, angels don't cry. Not for men like me. And that's when I detect a faint medical smell.

"I hired him to be,my bodyguard. He's been very professional about it." Takane explained to my very shocked wife.

"Um, what she said. It's the truth."

She refuses to leave my side. It's very sweet of her, honestly speaking.

"Honey, I really appreciate this, but Miss Shijou and I really need to discuss the issue of payment..." I pet her head. "There's enough time in the evening. I'll be yours then." She reluctantly leaves.

I feel something familiar being pressed into my hand. "Thanks. Now where was I. Ah yes. I still can't believe you actually like Fourze..."

>>19922944
I'd have to look back through the last threads to be sure and frankly I'm too tired but it's really the only reasonable possibility I can see.
If it's not that then what? We summoned it directly from 40k? So far everything we've got from there has been stuff we've pulled out of our shield.
>>
Thread descriptions in the archive could be better, I have a feeling they're getting a bit too straightforward. They really should sound like you're narrating from a bar or another environ in suitable noir fashion but that's just me.
>>
>>19922977
That doesn't even begin to make sense.
>>
>>19923004
Misaka has all sorts of wonderful trinkets and disturbing oddities
Her having a teleport homer that summons a night lord doesn't surprise me at all.

And given the password for our suit was Malleus, so I don't think it was the night lord one.

You are right about the 40k equipment so far though, but we do work for the assassinorum, are a vindicare, associate with calliduses, eversors and were told we might be in line for war master.

I think there might be a bit more bleed through than just ours given that.
>>
>>19923026

Sadly, the pattern for thread descriptions was established long before I took up the reins. If we could edit them, that would be a sweet idea.
>>
>>19923026
I dunno I sort of liked the drunkenness status at the start of the description
>>
>>19923082
>>19923004

Don't worry, this was actually covered. In... one of the early threads, like 2 or 3 it was mentioned in passing that we had a memory of pulling a bolter from the shield before the game started.

Once we met Misaka, we found that she had been working on repairing and rebuilding a suit of terminator armor. We had (before the game started) pulled a semi trailer sized crate out of the shield in the past, and she has been apparently rebuilding the things inside. There was apparently no one actually IN said armor, though, as that wasn't mentioned at all.

Later, we met with QB at the office, and a bunch of Assassnorium names started flying around, and we found out we were a Vindicare and the other girls were various other ranks.

Now we have the armor, which I'm guessing is either a robot or Misaka inside the armor.

Either way, the groundwork for this has been laid down for 16+ threads.
>>
>>19923091
It's not the drunk status that's the problem it's what's appended.
>>
>>19923004
> We summoned it directly from 40k?
I have a sinking feeling that maybe we did. First a Chaos daemon. Then a Chaos terminator (albiet it's apparently a Night Lord who doesn't like their own faction for some reason).

We Chaos now.
>>
>>19923163
Yeah I remember that but I actually think that isn't Misaka on there nor is it our armour.

It sounded like our armour was more like a loyalist factions such as the black templars or something and given the activation code was malleus it backs that up.

Plus we don't actually know what kind of bolter we pulled out given there are all the various patterns and marks used by both sides or if it was an astartes bolt pistol

I think it may well be that we pulled a night lord from the warp which may be connected to this world, the giant grief seed coud be a daemon planet as well
>>
>>19923170

kk. If I end up doing the next one, I'll try to remember that and make it a little more descriptive. I'm not the only one doing the archiving, after all.

I thought they covered the primary points well enough. *shrug*
>>
>>19923248

That's possible, I suppose. We really don't know what Faust is yet, and even the other Magica quest that featured Faust has a different version then this. The one we had from Misaka's place always had horns on it's face, though. I remember that much. No clarification on the bolter, though, other then it had huge kick and was covered in purity seals. *shrug*
>>
>>19923250
It's just an opinion though, thanks to the other anons archiving them though. I'm usually not around to do that any more.
>>
>>19923248
It was mentioned to be full of strange parchment strips of prayers (and almost exploding in our hands) though. I'm guessing they're purity seals and it's a normal Imperial bolter.

I don't mind grabbing random Imperial equipment, but with Chaos coming in too, hold on for dear life.
>>
I wonder.
If we survive this are we getting out new apartment or not? We asked kyuubey about it before we even got our arm back and it hasn't occurred yet from what I have seen.

Because really we are sitting on a time bomb with Iori in there and the yakuza knowing where we live
>>
>>19923323
the first thing we're doing is a Vacation Hunting Party. if Chaos doesn't end us.

>>
>>19923349
By "Party" I hope you mean more than just us and Misaka.
>>
>>19923323

This might just be me, but I think the logical conclusion of this mission would be to get as far away from Iori as possible until we're absolutely certain we're "clean" and not about to go blackeyes all of a sudden.
>>
>>19923375
Well we need pancakes so Mami as well.
We owe Kyoko for helping us in this and she will bring her girlfriend.
We can't leave Iori back in our apartment on her own that long so she would have to come.

They can all stay in a hotel or something though because the hunting party will just be Misaka and us killing shit, maybe Kyoko if she feels like it
>>
>>19923419
We can try but I honestly doubt she will let us get too far away after this.

She is going to be hurt because people she cared output were hurt and probably killed and we saved her, Takane and Chihaya so she will be associating us with safety and obsessing over us more
I agree that we do need to go see that little bastard cat and find out what is going on with us and the gun prior to spending any time around Iori after this.
And preferably having it locked up somewhere.
>>
>>19923375
We can take Kyoko, she was there for the vodka party and just risked her life to stop this blob thing. The loli will have to come because lol trama.

I'm hoping Mami stays pissed and doesn't come.
>>
>>19923506
She's not pissed as much as sad.
I actually think part of it is that she is disappointed in herself because she couldn't protect her friends.

>Not that I would consider some crazy that stabbed me through the heart a friend afterwards.
